Bisi berated Simi and accused her of promoting local homophobic violence.
Simi had spoken against people hating others for being different and also against “killings” which she said is now normal. She tweeted;
And we have our own people killing us in the streets and it has become so normal now. It’s almost more abhorrent. As fucked as it is, it is one thing for people to be intimidated by and hate you for being different, but how do you not value someone the exact same as you?
However, Bisi Alimi slammed the singer over the tweet as he called her a hyprocrite because of an earlier remark Simi had once made on her youtube show.
The gay rights activist’s response was centered on one of Simi’s “Stoopid Sessions” Youtube shows, in which she alleged that homosexuality is not natural but learned.
Bisi Alimi
He tweeted;
There is a name you call the #Nigeria middle/upper class elites that sympathise with abroad blackness but promote local homophobic violence against there own #LGBT; hypocrites. The @SympLySimi of this world. You are a disgrace.
Nigeria elites are oblivious to that, because they can fly around the world, they would rather align with abroad struggle than be a local hero
Deleted her music and her husband's after that terrible show. She has pals lounging around talking about how homosexuality is a sin. She should have shut it and drank her coke and talked about what she knows which is little

Videos that are being shared online show how rioters strip store shelves bare and make away with goods, they also set fire to stores and tried to break into a bank.
Stores looted include Target, Wendy’s, Walmart and AutoZone. Rioters also sprayed graffiti on the walls of Wendy’s and tried to bust open an ATM, as many ignored pleas from the Floyd family’s lawyer and Minnesota Governor Walz to protest peacefully Wednesday night.
Footage on social media showed car parts company AutoZone up in flames as people were seen hurling rocks through its windows.
At the Target store near the site of Floyd’s murder, the inside of the store lay in ruins. The shop had been emptied by protesters and the remaining merchandise is seen flung across the floor.
Some protesters wreaked havoc on the police precinct, pushing over barriers and smashing up the site’s windows.
The protests across the city come after George Floyd, a 46-year-old father-of-two, was killed when a police officer knelt on his neck for over 6 minutes while arresting him.

A Nigerian gentleman who survived COVID-19, Olubunmi Adefisayo has reminisced on the experience that has claimed the lives of people all over the world.
In a recent chat with Nigeria Health Watch, Olubunmi disclosed how he tested positive for the virus, the symptoms he had, and his experience at the Yaba Isolation center in Lagos.
He said he finds it strange that some Nigerians do not believe that the virus is in the country.
Read his account below,
“I don’t remember the exact date but in the first week of April, I noticed I had lost my sense of smell and taste. I checked online to know if it was a possible COVID-19 symptom. It turned out that some survivors mentioned those as their initial symptoms too. Then I decided to call NCDC to get tested. Two days later, the Lagos State team came to my house to take my sample for testing.
The waiting period was filled with a lot of tension. I just wanted to know the result so I could get it off my mind. It was a bit frustrating. Of course, I understood that the results were not immediate. Two days later, they called and said I tested positive. I gave them my address and within an hour, I was picked up and taken to the isolation centre.
My symptoms were very mild. Many people think that when you catch the coronavirus, you will die or experience debilitating symptoms. It is very bizarre that people don’t believe there is a virus. I find it very strange. It is not a joke. People need to stop reading all these conspiracy theories or believing all these weird websites. Look at only credible sources for information.
Anyway, I live in my apartment alone so I was worried about my neighbours. What if they contracted the disease from me? From touching the same gate as I did or something. Some of my neighbours were tested but luckily their results were negative. The Lagos State COVID-19 team also went to a supermarket I had visited earlier, to trace staff I may have had contact with. I don’t know the results of those tests. I hope none of them tested positive.
I was on admission in Yaba for 14 days. I remember a man that was brought into our ward. He was in his late 70s. He was clearly in a bad shape, he could hardly breathe. He struggled to walk. He was only with us for one night. The next morning, he was taken away. We don’t know what happened to him. We asked the health workers but they didn’t tell us anything. Maybe because of ‘patient confidentiality’. Nobody said anything. I wonder where he is or what happened to him. – Olubunmi Adefisayo, #COVID19 Survivor” he said

This is not the first time the cross dresser will be arrested as sometime in March of this year, Bobrisky was spotted cooling off in a police station in Lagos State, after he was picked up the previous night.
According to reports at the time, the arrest might have been connected to an eyelashes business deal he had with one Mrs. Rosemary, who dragged the cross-dresser to court, for allegedly not remitting the revenues generated from the joint venture.

The brand influencer and reality tv star compared her fans with fans of foreign celebrities like Nicki Minaj, Cardi B, Kim Kardashian and others and stressed how her own fans still have a long way to go to prove their loyalty to her.
Mercy says she needs soldiers who are willing and ready to fight for her till the end — she says she needs warriors who wouldn’t switch sides whenever she’s fazed with a minor challenge.
Mercy also urged her fans to fasten their seat belts and be truly dedicated to her alone as she doesn’t like the idea of sharing her fans with someone else.

Lagos state Commissioner for Health, Professor Akin Abayomi has said that the state will begin to see a significant decline in the number of COVID-19 cases in about four to six months.
Prof. Abayomi mentioned this when he spoke at the 2020 Ministerial Press Briefing in commemoration of the One-Year Anniversary of Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu’s assumption of office on Wednesday, May 27.
“It is difficult to predict the end of COVID19. When we are going to see our peak is also dependent on the profile of the outbreak.
We are watching what’s happening across the world and using the pattern of the outbreak in different environments to try and reach some kind of modelling pattern to when we are going to peak and when we are going to see the end of the outbreak.
We believe that a period of four to six months is a reasonable period by which we should start to see a significant decline in the number of COVID19 cases that we pick up in Lagos.
By that stage, many people would have been exposed to the virus and therefore the virus will have less of an opportunity to infect people because they would have developed some degree of immunity to the virus and that would signify the end of COVID19” he said
Lagos State remains the epicenter of COVID-19 in Nigeria with 4012 confirmed cases as of May 28th 2020.

Embattled Singer, Cynthia Morgan who has dominated news headlines all week, has written an open letter in an attempt to put an end to the saga which culminated following her interview where she revealed her struggles in her music career.
Cynthia claimed during her initial interview that the contract restricted her from using her name “Cynthia Morgan”. She also added that Jude Okoye took over her Instagram account.
However, Jude Okoye denied most of the claims. He denied restricting her from using her birth name. He also disclosed the things he did for Cynthia while she was signed to his record label, including giving her money to buy land for her mother.
Jude Okoye
Also, Cynthia’s former manager, Joy Tongo, weighed in and said Cynthia Morgan was lying and seeking self-pity in order to make a comeback.
Yesterday, a copy of the singer’s contract which was drafted by her former manager and signed by Jude Okoye, surfaced on social media and it further laid waste to Cynthia Morgan’s earlier claim.
Cynthia has now reacted by writing an open letter. In it, she thanked Jude Okoye and Joy Tongo but insisted she didn’t lie, adding that she only shared her story “as it happened from her own point of view.”
Read her letter below ;
I, Cynthia Morgan, would like to use this platform to appreciate all the love, well wishes and support from everyone showing love to me, my health and my well being.
A huge appreciation to Upfront With Sandra whose platform my story was told.
Appreciation goes out to Davido for reaching out and other brands who reached out.
A lot has happened in the past. I erred, other parties involved had their fair share of blame, but we all make mistakes. I was younger and new in the industry and in retrospect, some things could have been done differently instead of left unresolved.
However in telling my story, I have not lied but only shared my story as it happened from my own point of view.
Also i allowed the hurt & pain from past dealings take over my emotions but moving on, I appreciate everyone clamoring for my return both online and offline. I’m also asking Cynthia Morgan fans all over the world for understanding and patience on the new journey we are about to embark on.
I won’t take this new opportunity for granted.
My heartfelt appreciation once again goes to JUDE and JOY. It is the pain speaking, not Cynthia. Thanks for giving me the platform to grow the Cynthia Morgan brand.
I have learnt the importance of opening up and sharing when one is going through challenges in life as mine is a testament of this.
Appreciation to all media houses and blogs. Thanks for your support and allow me formally introduce THE MADRINA to the world.

Award-Winning Nigerian singer, Wizkid has replied a fan who was surprised he tweeted from an android phone.
There is a trending sentiment by a cross-section of social media users who feel rich people are mandated to use the IOS Platform when it comes to their mobile devices. That sentiment probably inspired the fan’s question who must have been expecting the successful singer to have the latest iphone.
It all started when Wizkid took to the micro-blogging platform and tweeted; “Heart is somewhere else”.
The fan identified with the username @Distinct_Vibes was surprised the African Starboy tweeted with an Android phone.
Wizkid noticed the comment and decided to bless the fan with a rare reply.

Fast rising Canadian rapper, Houdini has died at the age of 21 after he was shot in Toronto.
Houdini was reportedly gunned down on Tuesday evening outside a hotel in the downtown area of the city.
Houdini was one of three people taken to hospital with injuries but he was pronounced dead at 6:30 p.m. The two others, a woman, 27, and a 15-year-old boy are expected to recover from the attack.
Toronto Police believe it was targeted shooting after gunfire broke out outside the hotel sometime after 4 p.m. on Tuesday.
Toronto Police, Chief Mark Saunders described the shooting as “very brazen” and revealed cops responded to reports of gunfire yesterday evening.
He said the attack was planned and suspects had been waiting in their car for around 40 minutes before opening fire.
Saunders explained: “It turns out the suspect vehicle, based on the evidence we have right now, was waiting for about forty minutes for the occupants of another vehicle to arrive to their vehicle.
“When they did, the suspect vehicle made a U-turn, came out, and started firing at this group of individuals.”
“This was very brazen, this offence that took place,” he said. “However, it’s very solvable…
“There was a driver of the suspect vehicle and we know that the shooter got out on the passenger side.”
A firearm was reportedly recovered from the scene and police are appealing for people with information to come forward.
A witness told CP24 : “What we heard was like a bunch of fireworks. There were lots of echoes – about six to 10 shots. It was quite startling and then you hear all the sirens afterwards.
“I think a lot of people have power outages in this area too, so people were out for a walk I guess. It’s quite shocking to see in this area.”
Fellow Toronto rapper, Tory Lanez took to Instagram to react to Houdini’s death.
He wrote “I’m trying, and I can’t fight the tears from falling…
“I can’t even find the words for a speech right now .. YALL TOOK MY F***ING N**** AND ALL HE WANTED TO DO WAS LIVE !!!!!! #RIP Houdini 4 Ever!”
Houdini, best known for tracks including Late Nights, Myself, and Backseats was one of Canada’s most-streamed independent rappers with 19.2 million plays on Spotify in 2019.

At first, when Cynthia Morgan granted an interview to share her side of the story, the OAP lambasted Jude Okoye and said what he did to the dancehall artiste was “sheer wickedness“.
“I have been in the Nigerian entertainment industry since 2004 and if there is anything the past couple of days have taught me, it is the importance of taking all sides of the story into consideration before forming an opinion (1)
“On the Cynthia Morgan story, I have taken notes from both Parties concerned & I can only say that I have been hasty in publicly forming an opinion (2)
“As one that has experienced the growth of the industry, I am without doubt that we will continue to improve on the conduct of business and the regard for the rule of law (3)
