A Nigerian doctor has taken to his Twitter page to give the narrative of an encounter he had with an Uber driver who damaged his car whilst driving recklessly in Lagos.
The man, Alabo Braide shared how he was moved to tears after relieving the Uber driver who damaged his car of the costs for the reparation of his car. He revealed that after the accident, he’d opted to seizing the Uber driver’s car until he’d paid for the damages.
According to Dr. Alabo, it was the intervention of his kindhearted spouse that made him forgive the woes of the Uber driver. The Uber driver himself was touched by the couple’s kind gestures and his emotional response to them had Dr. Alabo moved to tears too.

So yesterday, I had a humbling experience. Trying to cautiously enter Admiralty Road after sending some items at GIGL. I was unaware a car was driving one-way. The next thing I know, it rips off part of my bumper. The Uber driver who was about to pay for his stupidity. I wasn’t going to let him go.
The usual thing happens – people gather and start assessing a situation that isn’t any of their business. The driver keeps me waiting for about an hour, by then, my wife is at the scene to pick me up and my mechanic on his way to make his assessments and give the erring party their bill. He comes and says it will cost 105k to replace all parts We decide, his car stays in my custody till he gets the money.
He drives to my estate and parks the car. I take pics to avoid unnecessary claims and then I see tears. My wife hears him Tell someone in a call how he only managed to make N2600 the whole day. She walks up to him and give him 2k for transportation. On our way up to the apartment, she tells me to give him back his car. I agree, call him back and as I give him back his key, I see the shock and Confusion on his face. He burst into tears and tries to dorbale (i didn’t allow him do that).
Before I know it, I tear up. Giving him all the money I had in my bag. He couldn’t drive for about 10mins after going into his car.I remembered the times I was help. Times I was given a pass. Governor Ifeanyi Okowa of Delta state, and his wife, Edith, have gone into self-isolation after one of their daughters recently tested positive for the novel Coronavirus.
The governor disclosed this on his Instagram page on Friday June 26.
”Earlier today, Edith and I received the news that one of our daughters has tested positive for #COVID19. Hence, in-line with the laid out procedures, we are both going into isolation for the next 14-days.

In the video, Daddy Freeze join hands with the socialite to condemn his “haters” who are always suspicious of the socialite’s affluence instead of them to “beg” him to help improve their lifestyle.
Daddy Freeze, in the video, happily voiced out how Hushpuppi’s driver and cleaner gets paid more than some Local Area chairmen in the country and certainly more than the fathers of some people who are always talking bad about Hushpuppi.
The media personality who used his brand to consistently attack prominent Nigerian men of God so as to free their congregation from them shams, is now dubbed a hypocrite for indulging a fraudster whose victims are more like the people who Freeze intends to “free”.
He’s currently being dragged on Twitter, with people saying the damnedest things about him. A particular Twitter user who caught our interest is one Mazi Gburugburu @Mazigburugburu1 who pertinently laid out Freeze’s hypocrisy on his page.
Mazi created a thread on the subject and first off, talked about how over time, con artists try to use the influence of publicly recognized elites to conceal their conning ways but the same can’t be said for Daddy Freeze who he says forgot his morality when he paid Hushpuppi a visit in Dubai.

Just in case you missed it: Dubai authorities yesterday, finally released the video which showed the moment HUshpuppi and his gang were arrested and paraded in their city.
The authorities also revealed the huge amount Hushpuppi and his gang stole.
The video which has gathered millions of views on social media has sparked heated conversations on social media, and one of those who spoke is the Chairma, Nigerians in Dispora Commission, Abike Dabiri-Erewa.

The Dubai Police also revealed details about the alleged fraud committed by suspected internet fraudster, Ramon Abass, popularly known as Hushpuppi and others.

2. Dubai police seized cash worth 150 million dirhams ($40,838,550) during raid

8. 13 exotic cars worth 25 million dirhams ($6,806,425) were also confiscated.
Hushpuppi and others were arrested on multiple fraud charges committed in different parts of the world.
Specialities: Creating fake pages for existing websites to redirect payments. Hacking corporate emails and sending fake messages to clients.
A lecturer of the University of Cambridge has been promoted to a professor after she received abusive messages and death threats for tweeting “White Lives Don’t Matter”.
Dr Priyamvada Gopal, 51, who teaches in the Faculty of English at Churchill College, took to Twitter on Tuesday evening, June 23, to write: “I’ll say it again. White Lives Don’t Matter. As white lives.”
The message was met with outrage with people calling her out, hurled racist abuse at her, and issued death threats. Twitter later deleted the tweet for “violating Twitter rules“.
A petition titled “Fire Cambridge Professor for Racism” was also launched on the petition site change.org on Wednesday demanding that Dr Gopal be fired by the university for the controversial tweet.
Dr Gopal later shared some of the hate speech she had received, including from a man sending her a picture of a noose and writing: “We are coming for you you n***er loving piece of shit.”
On Wednesday night, June 24, Dr Gopal announced that the university promoted her to a full Professorship.
She added,
“I would also like to make clear I stand by my tweets, now deleted by Twitter, not me. They were very clearly speaking to a structure and ideology, not about people.
“My Tweet said whiteness is not special, not a criterion for making lives matter. I stand by that.”
The University of Cambridge then spoke out in support of the lecturer and defended rights of academic to express lawful opinions.
The Russel Group University defended the lecturer and deplored the attacks she has faced since her tweet. A statement released by the university read,
“The University defends the right of its academics to express their own lawful opinions, which others might find controversial.
“[It] deplores in the strongest terms abuse and personal attacks. These attacks are totally unacceptable and must cease.”
The Cambridge branch of the University and College Union (UCU), also showed their solidarity with Dr Gopal.
The union wrote,
“Solidarity with Priyamvada Gopal – being targeted with vile sexist and racist abuse for speaking up against white supremacists.
“We are proud to be your colleagues both on the picket line and off it. BlackLivesMatterSolidarity.”
Many colleagues and students have since expressed solidarity with Dr Gopal following the incident, with even popular comedian Nish Kumar wading in to call her “one of the best and brightest around“.
However, the university’s defence of Dr Gopal has been labelled by some as inconsistent and politically biased.
