Some kindhearted Nigerians have extended a helping hand to the family of a young boy who was spotted picking food from the dustbin to eat. The well meaning people donated food items to the family, including cash.
What triggered the heartwarming gestures was the video a lady made of the boy where she asked him why he chose to pick left over food to eat. The young lad broke hearts when he responded emotionally to her question and it did have an effect on the lady recording too as she was almost led to tears.
After the lady shared the video online, it rapidly went viral with so many Nigerians asking for the location of the boy and his family, to offer help to him.
Rockypain, a charity page on Instagram, shared a footage of the young boy and his parents, where they presented relief materials to the family, including cash gift.
Nigerian cross-dresser, James Brown has shared his opinion on the social media campaign against sexual abuse.
The crossdresser posted a video of him speaking against the recent trend of abusing women sexually.
In the video, James said if he was a girl he could have killed many guys that wants to have their way forcefully without his consent.
James said that men are just concerned about their sexual desires and not the feeling of the girl they are about to hurt.

“If I was a girl and a guy says he likes me and I say I am not interested but he wants to do it forcefully, I swear, I would have killed a lot of people because guys don’t even care, all they want is to sleep with you. Nollywood actress and pioneer of the Passion Against Rape and Abuse Africa, PARAA, Foluke Daramola-Salako has shared that about 75% of rape cases her organization has handled were perpetrated by religious leaders.
The actress revealed this during an interview with media personality, Funmi Iyanda. Foluke Daramola, who was raped by her tenant when she was 17, said;
“75% of the cases I have on my table are from religious leaders, and a lot of time, we don’t get to the end of it, because when we start, the family would come and tell us we should leave the religious leader to God.”.
She went on to dismiss claims that indecent dressing is what is responsible for the increase in the number of rape cases.
“Nothing attracts rape, it is a sign of weakness. Why do they rape minors, teenagers, and even old women, is that also about indecent dressing?
You hardly find rape cases against young women except for sexual assaults and abuse in workplaces, we find it mostly amongst kids, teenagers, and elderly women, how come you are now telling me it is indecent dressing? And we are not animals.” she said
A Nigerian lady has taken to social media to call out her aunt who allegedly physical abused her, and her husband for allegedly raping her when she was 13.
Chinwe Udeze Patricia on Facebook, shared how she went to live with her aunt and husband one Mr Julius and Mrs Martina Elemotse, after her aunt who was pregnant at that time begged her mother several times to allow her come live with her because she was having a hard time doing the house chores.
Chinwe accused her aunt of wrongly accusing her of stealing beverages, stripping her naked in front of her husband, making fun of her boobs in his presence and monitoring her phone conversation with her mother to ensure she doesn’t report the abuse.
Chinwe disclosed that her aunt’s husband took advantage of the abuse, raped her twice and threatened her several times.

Chinwe also disclosed how her aunt’s husband will always tell her his wife won’t believe her if she reports the abuse — he allegedly said he will only protect her from the way her aunt maltreats her if she allows him to sleep with her without struggling.
She further claimed that when her aunt found out what her husband has been doing, she increased her maltreatment and told her she will slowly kill her for trying to destroy her marriage. She went on for days without food with “severe beating” that made her look like she had an internal disease.
A distraught Chinwe added,

A suspected rapist received the beating of his life after he was caught by angry residents and security operatives.
According to reports, the suspect had lured the victim whom he claimed is his friend, to an apartment where he raped her, filmed the incident and subsequently planned to blackmail her with the footage.
After several attempts to blackmail the victim, security operatives were alerted about the situation and the suspect was caught and beaten by angry eye witnesses.
The suspect who was questioned about the reason for his action, couldn’t come up with a reasonable excuse for his evil action. He kept on saying the lady is ‘his friend’.

A yet-to-be identified Nigerian man has been nabbed picking out used sanitary pads in Lagos State.
The man who was confronted and apprehended by security operatives was made to go down on his knees while he was being recorded by an eye witness.
In the video, the suspect could be seen displaying the sanitary pads on the floor. He was however, accused of specifically searching for the used sanitary pad for reasons best known to him.
When asked why he was picking the sanitary pads and storing them in a bag, the suspect couldn’t utter a word.
A man has taken to Instagram to reveal his intention of breaking up with his girlfriend after she refused washing his buttocks.
An anonymous man decided to confide in popular Nigerian relationship expert, Adejoro Olumofin simply known as Joro following a painful experience he had with his girlfriend.
According the story, the man who revealed he loves his girlfriend with all his heart said he washed his girlfriend’s buttocks while they were having shower together.
He however got disappointed and enraged moment he turned his back, asked his girlfriend to reciprocated his act of ‘buttocks cleansing’ and she refused.
The anonymous man feels cheat and thinks his girlfriend is probably washing someone else’s buttocks.
He recounted how his girlfriend’s buttocks smelt terribly but admitted he did it out of love becaise “it kinda turned him on.
He then sought the advice of “Joro Nation” on whether or not to continue with the relationship.
It was a pitiable sight at the Ogbeide Street off NNPC Depot Fence Road residence residence of the family of 22 year-old female student of University of Benin, Uwaila Omozuwa, who was raped and murdered last week. Her mother, in between sobs, narrated the pains the family was going through over the death of Uwaila.
She was reportedly gang-raped and beaten by her assailants who inflicted deep head injuries on her and abandoned for dead. The church security guard was said to have discovered the incident when he went to collect the keys to the church and was told that somebody had earlier come to collect the key and was inside the church.
It was gathered that for the past five years, late Uwaila had been using the hall of the Redeemed Christian Church of God situated at Osa-Amadasun Street, Ohovbe Quarters which she attended as her reading house and the church was about five minutes walk from her residence. On the fateful day, May 27th, she also went to read in the church hall since schools had been shut because of the covid-19 pandemic.
Tragedy however struck when according to her mother she waited for her to return but did not see her daughter and she was getting worried when a church member called her that there was an emergency in their church. She said she was shocked and devastated when she saw the mangled body of her daughter in the hospital.
A visibly distraught Mrs Joy Omozuwa narrated the incident of her second child to Saturday Vanguard:
“She is my second child, the most gentle of all my children and was always interested in her book. What happened to my daughter is so painful; I never knew this was how she will die. On that fateful day, May 27th, I left home with her and she went to the church to read. For over five years now, she had been going to the church to read, so, that day she did the same thing. When the schools were shut as a result of COVID 19 pandemic, she had been going there to study because she said she didn’t want to have any carry over in her examination. I waited till in the evening when I normally called her if it was getting late although she didn’t have a fixed time that she would come. Sometimes she came home 5 pm, sometimes 6 pm or 2 pm depending on her mood.
“By 5 pm, I tried to call her but her line was not going through. There was a boy who was also a member of the church staying near the church whom she said sometimes came around and she had told me that I should not panic if I didn’t see her on time but unfortunately, I didn’t have the boy’s number so I was becoming worried. I saw off a member of our church who came to visit me and by the time I returned, I missed three calls from Mrs Osula who is also a member of the church and stayed close to the church. She asked to come to the church quickly and when I got there, I was told that Uwa had been rushed to the hospital.
“They said they met her with her eyes blindfolded, her mouth tied and her hands tied behind her like a criminal. She was untied and when they noticed that she moved her hand, they quickly took her to Enoma hospital. When I saw my daughter, there was blood all over her body, the white top she wore had turned red with her blood; I looked at her ear, there was blood coming out of it as well as her nose while she had a swollen eye. There was a very big cut on one part of her head and another deep cut close to one of her eyes. She was also raped. So, I had to sum up courage, I started cleaning the blood from her body and they were giving her drip while she was breathing intermittently and at times she would stretch her body.
“My husband came and said he had gone to the scene of the incident and that the blood stain was too much, so we had to move her to the University of Benin Teaching Hospital, UBTH. When we got there, the doctors told us that it was 50-50 chance for her to survive because the injury was much but that they would try their best. But she did not make it and she died on Saturday.”
Uwaila’s father, Elder Johnson Omozuwa was unhappy with the slow response of the police when he reported the matter at the station. He said; “I want the authorities and security agencies to dig into the root of this matter, I don’t want my daughter to die in vain. I went to report the matter at the police station that night but police refused to go with me to the scene of the incident till the following day. I saw my daughter in a pool of blood and I ran to the police but the police refused to go with me. A neutral team should be sent by the police to investigate this matter.
“I will remember my daughter as a disciplined child. She wrote UTME three times and she never scored below 240, she wanted to read medicine and the third time she chose nursing but she was given Microbiology. She didn’t want to take it but I advised her to take it being a brilliant girl.

In a new development, the indigenous rapper has reacted to the allegation made against him by @mystic_sweetness.
The lady had in her allegations said that the rapper raped her in his friend’s house in Magodo area of Lagos on April 20, 2015.
Reacting to the allegation on his IG page not long ago, the rapper shared a screenshot of a tweet where he decried reports of rape cases in Calabar in 2015.
He went on to state that he feels terrible that someone will accuse him of rape and maintained that he will never partake in such act or have a relationship with a rapist.
Zoro also said he’s decided to take legal actions to address the rape allegation and is also willing to provide legal support for the Instagram user to ensure she has proper representation and to make sure there’s no thought of suppression or intimidation.

Rape is such a nasty act, that I will never ever take partake in it or be involved with anybody that rapes, I even find it difficult to say the word. I feel really terrible that someone has accused me of the act. I do not know exactly why she is doing what she is doing. I forgive and I pray God forgives her too, but because this will also hurt people that look up to me, my family brands I work with and fans, I have decided to take legal actions to address this.
I am willing as well to provide legal support to Yachit too so she has proper representation and to make sure there’s no thought of suppression or intimidation. My team also tried to contact her to understand exactly what her problems are but she labeled it suppression and trying to shut her up which is also false, this one weak me meyne but God Dey.
To make it clear, I did not rape Yachit. I’m putting this out ahead of my legal team’s statement.

However, the Afropop star, who recently moved into his new Banana Island house in Ikoyi, Lagos State didn’t disclose what had happened to him.
His manager, Asa Asika, in a recent interview stated that Davido is doing fine and there isn’t any cause for alarm.
The manager stated that the singer only sprained his legs and would soon be back on his feet.
“Davido is recuperating well. He’s resting his legs and he’ll be good. Nothing is broken. He just tripped; that’s all,” he said in the interview.
Davido took to his social media page recently to write about doing a cleansing and how he has been putting people before him but now, how he is set to focus on his life.
The singer also revealed he’s changed his mobile number.
A septuagenarian landlady who resides at Abule Lemode, Ijoko, Ogun State has narrated an ordeal she faced with a truck driver, Wasiu Bankole, 25, who allegedly baregd into her apartment and raped her.
Wasiu, who reportedly resides in the area, was drunk when he barged into the old lady’s house around 11:00pm on Tuesday and overpowered the woman who was asleep and had his way with her.

The 70-year-old lady, while speaking with pressmen shared how Wasiu covered her mouth but she still mustered strength to clamour for help.
“The man (Bankole) came to my house at night. He forcefully entered my room and raped me. He covered my mouth so that I would not be able to seek help. I was the only one at home; my tenant was not around. I know him as a resident of our community.
“I was struggling to resist him but he overpowered me. I eventually managed to scream and people who heard my voice came to chase him away. I don’t know what would have happened to me without the intervention of my neighbours,” the woman recounted her ordeal to City Round in Yoruba.
One of the old woman’s neighbours, who came her rescue, Ayoola Oluwasegun, hit the suspect on the back with a stick to let go of the victim.
He was said to have reported the case at the Agbado Police Station and the Divisional Police Officer, SP Kuranga Yero, led a team that launched a manhunt for the suspect.
It was gathered that the team arrested Bankole the following day and recovered his clothes and a torch he abandoned at the woman’s apartment while he escaped.
Bankole in a chat with pressmen, admitted to being drunk but denied raping the woman. “I swear, I didn’t have sex with the woman,” he declared.
When he was asked how his belongings got into the woman’s apartment, he said he had no idea.
He stated,
“It was some vigilantes who beat me with sticks. I am a truck driver. The only thing that is not clear to me is how my clothes got into her room. It appears someone wanted to frame me up. I was drunk but I didn’t have sex with her. I knew the woman through my landlady. She normally visits my landlady.”

The Actress opined that a rapist is worse than a murderer and called for harsher punishment for such offenders.

A Nigerian Man on twitter has taken to the micro-blogging platform to share his personal opinion on why N300k/month is adequate for someone to live comfortably in Lagos.
Lagos, being a commercial hub, is often said to be on the high side when it comes to the cost of living.. but for twitter user @Thesasquatch_ who is a financial profession, with proper planning and catering to NEEDS only, a monthly salary of three hundred thousand might just be enough to live comfortably (assuming one has 0 dependent).

The balance is distributed to family & my women and dumped into investments. Proceeds from Investments is used to splurge on expensive stuff and make provisions for rent. My life is simple.
You don’t need more than 300k a month to live comfortably =/= you don’t need to earn more than 300k a month. My point is 300k is adequate to cater for your recurring expenses in a month assuming you have 0 dependents and live in Lagos.

A video making the rounds on social media captured the moment an alleged mad ma was caught with a dead baby in Abia State.
There was pandemonium around Aba, Abia State after a man who has been pretending to be mad, was nabbed with a dead
baby.
According to reports, that the man always dressed like a mad man to deceive people while carrying out suspected evil plans.
After he was caught by civilians, he was however lucky security operatives intervened and arrested him because there was an angry mob ready to beat him to death.
The scene attracted lots of attention from eye witnesses who hurled insults at him after he was caught with the dead baby.
A lady on instagram with the handle @mystic_sweetness has taken to the platform to accuse Nigerian Singer, Zoro of raping her.
The lady said it dates back to the 20th of April, 2015 and it happened at his friend’s house in Magodo, Lagos.

In the latest update of the Covid-19 pandemic in the country, 328 new cases have been reported as of Friday evening, June 5th by the National Centre for Disease Control.

Men of the Lagos State Police Command have arrested Adeyeye Oluwatosin Babatunde, a Botany student of Lagos State University, who was seen in a viral video inappropriately kissing his three year old step sister (name withheld). The incident happened on June 2 in their home in Shagamu.
A statement from the state police command spokesperson, Bala Elkana, said the state Commissioner of Police Lagos State, CP Hakeem Odumosu saw the video and instructed detectives from the Gender Unit to analyze the video and apprehend the suspect.
The team got Babatunde arrested today June 5 at about 11am. He has been handed over to the State Criminal Investigation Department, Yaba for prosecution in Court.
The state Commissioner of Police expressed his gratitude to Nigerians who helped in bringing the incident to the notice of the Police and urged everyone to continue to speak out against sexual and gender-based violence.

A teenage girl has been apprehended for faking her own kidnap alongside her boyfriend in Ogun State.
The 17-year-old identified as Seun Adekunle, was arrested alongside her 25-year-old boyfriend, Basit Olasunkanmi, after her other, Bukky Adekunle, alerted the police on the 4th of June 2020 that she sent her daughter to Lafenwa market since on the 1st of June 2020 and has not returned since then.
She stated further that she received a mysterious call two days later who claimed to have abducted the girl and demanding for the sum of N500,000 as ransom.
Mrs Adekunle said the caller warned her not to make the mistake of involving the police if she still needs her daughter alive.
However, a technical and intelligence based investigation led the police to the hideout where the girl and her boyfriend were hiding and pretending to be with kidnappers.
Glee Hotel has debunked the news of having popular singer, Dbanj’s alleged rape victim on their guest list on 2018.
Recall, D’banj is said to have raped a lady inside one of the rooms in the hotel where the girl lodged. He’s said to have been given a spare key to the girl’s room.
This has now been denied by the establishment Glee Hotel in a statement seen below:

It is alleged that the front office at Glee gave Dbanj the key to a guests room without their consent. We state firmly that this is FALSE and can never happen at Glee. We operate best practices and the welfare and security of our guest is paramount to us. We advice the accuser to check with the person who paid for the said room as her said name was not on record as a guest. Any person who pays has access to two keys for all the rooms paid for by them. We never got any complaints then or at anytime afterwards regarding any form of abuse. We will never condone any form of abuse particularly to a lady at our premises (Glee). we are happy to assist in investigating the matter properly. Our lawyers have been informed and we are taking the matter very seriously. We SAY LOUDLY NO to rape or any form of abuse towards women.
