Big Brother Naija 2019 housemate, Cindy Okafor has been accused of bleaching her skin and she reacted to that accusation in a very witty manner.

Cindy had taken to her IG page to share a beautiful photo where she advised her followers against being bullied into silence and right there in the comment session, a troll tried to bully her.

Sharing the photo, she wrote ;

Never be bullied into silence, Never allow yourself to be made a victim. Accept no one’s definition of your life, but define yourself.

However, the troll with the handle @prince_emyzy obviously did not comprehend the caption which was obviously speaking against bullies and he proceeded to comment on Cindy’s skin tone.

”See as bleach wan finish you. What is wrong Cindy ?”, he wrote.

The comment got the attention of the reality star and she responded in a very savage yet brutal way.

She wrote ;

Actress Sylvia Edem addresses young girls twerking on social media, advises them to set their priorities right before it’s too late

Nollywood actress and producer Sylvia Edem has urged young girls to set their priorities right before it is too late.

The actress took to her official Instagram page to share her words of advice to her fans and followers.

Sylvia said that if a young woman leaves what she is supposed to do at her youth for other irrelevant things, she may regret it later.

According to her, doing some things like caring for a child is not easy when a woman is in her 50s.

“Dear ladies, if at age 25-38, you are still prioritising the wrong things, for example, twerking, slaying for the gram, deceiving yourself with filter and lying about your age when deep down you know menopause is very close,” she said “Next time you see yourself prioritising the wrong things, doing school runs at 50 isn’t gonna be easy. Please do not feel attacked. While playing, remember to set your priorities right and have it at the back of your mind that you will need a hand that will help you genuinely in the future,” the producer concluded.

A video making the rounds on social media captured the moment the man popped the big question and the lady became overwhelmed with excitement as she rolled on the floor and jumped to her fiance’s arms.

The boyfriend was spotted going down on one knee as he popped the question to her and slid the ring to her finger.

The pretty wife-to-be was so excited when she saw the proposal. She jumped off with joy. It is obviously a beautiful experience for the lady.

260 new cases of COVID-19 confirmed in Nigeria

In the latest update of the Covid-19 pandemic in the country, 260 new cases have been reported as of Sunday evening, June 7th by the National Centre for Disease Control.

In a new update on their Twitter page, the NCDC reports that there’s new cases in Abia, FCT, Lagos, Ogun, Gombe, Edo, Imo, Kwara, Katsina, Nasarawa, Borno, Kaduna, Bauchi, Ekiti, Niger, Ondo, Plateau, Kano and Sokoto

Twitter user who accused Uti Nwachukwu of rape deletes her account; He reacts.

The lady on Twitter, Kambili Korie who accused actor/TV presenter, Uti Nwachukwu, of raping her some years back, has deleted her account.

This action comes no more than 48 hours after the media personality petitioned the police and demanded an investigation into the rape allegation.

It should be recalled that the individual behind the Twitter account had alleged that Uti raped her in August 2017 and she shared a screenshot of a message from a user saved with the name “Uti 2” apologizing for forcefully having his way with her. The person behind the account also made some other claims.

Shortly after the allegations, Uti Nwachukwu filed a petition with the police demanding an investigation into the allegation.

A recent check show that the Twitter user’s account has now been deleted — reacting to this, Uti says he will still be going forward with the police investigating the rape allegation.

Uti wrote on his IG page,

I didn’t want to be speaking this unfortunate allegations gain; but it’s also important that I update you all on recent developments.

My accuser- who’s account was created only recently to accuse me of this horrendous crime, has been deleted before investigators could identify her.

This is unfortunate because it doesn’t fully exonerate me from the accusation the way the courts would have done; I REALLY needed the opportunity to prove my innocence and this culprit face the full penalties.
However, I am still going to continue to work and cooperate with the police to get to the bottom of this.

Victims of sexual abuse need to be heard and believed, and it’s why I will continue to pursue this to prevent anyone else from making it even harder from victims to speak out.

Thank you all for your messages and show of support; it’s been a difficult period, but I appreciate how so many of you who know me, have stood by me.”

American entertainment media brand, Billboard has released its most streamed Nigerian Musicians in 2020 — these artists are the ones pushing the music emanating from the country across the world.

Topping the list is Burna Boy with over 435 million streams. Following the Afro-fusion singer is David Adeleke, also known as Davido with over 285 million streams.

Coming at third place is Wizkid with over 176 million streams.

Popular Nigerian gospel singer, Sinach is the most streamed female musician, and the number one artiste in Gospel with 120 million streams.

Yemi Alade is the second most streamed female musician and first female in secular music. She garnered over 109 million streams.

The cosmetics expert took to her official Instagram account recent to share a photo, which shows a man holding up a placard. The placard had a text which encouraged people not to forget to take care of themselves as family problems do not finish.

Reacting to the statement on the placard, Ifu said she could totally relate to what was written therein as according to her, she has been carrying her family’s problems since she was a 17-year-old teenager.

A Nigerian man got lambasted on social media after insinuating in a tweet that billionaire businessman and philanthropist, Femi Otedola dresses like a carpenter.

The billionaire, who’s quite active on social media, had taken to his page to share a photo with his daughter, Temi Otedola and her singer boyfriend, Mr Eazi.

In the photos, Mr. Femi Otedola donned a simple casual outfit; a light blue polo and shorts. Reacting to the photos, the Twitter user said the billionaire can easily be mistaken for a carpenter.

Nollywood Actor, Yul Edochie, has shared his opinion on the infamous saying that females dressing in an indecent manner is an invitation to be raped.

Lady who accused D’banj of raping her in her hotel room demands for an apology; private & public through her lawyers

Miss Seyitan Babatayo, the lady who accused Nigerian music veteran, D’Banj of raping her in her hotel room on December 30th of 2018 has demanded an apology from him; both private and public through her lawyers.

Miss Seyitan claims the singer raped her despite telling him NO. Babatayo, who through her lawyers demanded a private and public apology for the rape, in a letter titled “SEXUAL ABUSE, INDECENT ASSAULT AND INTENTIONAL INFLICTION OF EMOTIONAL DISTRESS ON MISS SEYITAN BABATAYO: DEMAND FOR PUBLIC APOLOGY” threatens to institute criminal charges against him if he does not comply.

According to her, her legal counsel will be taking over the case.

The letter reads in part;

Our brief details the following narrations as recounted by our client in establishing the premise for her request as follows.

On 30th December 2018, our client was invited to an All-White Rendezvous Party at Eko Atlantic City by your former manager who at that point in time was your manager, one Mr Franklin.

The party ended a bit late and our client was stranded on the Island as she could not find a way back home. She was thereafter faced with the option of following one Oyinda and her boyfriend to their hotel room at Glee Hotel Victoria Island to wait for Mr Franklin who invited her. Oyinda’s boyfriend is one of your friends and Oyinda is well known to you.

When Mr Franklin came to Glee Hotel, he was in a hurry and did not drop from his car. Our client had to meet Mr Franklin at the parking lot and Mr Franklin gave up his room at the Glee Hotel to our client and gave her the key-card to the room so she can pass the night and find her way home the following morning. Mr Franklin thereafter slept off after the conversation with Oyinda with the door of her hotel room locked.

At about 3 am on 31st December 2018 while our client was fast asleep, you gained access to the room where our client was sleeping with an extra key-card and forcefully had canal knowledge of our client without her consent and with the threat that you will send her out of the hotel naked if she screams or attempt to alert people that she was about to be or is being raped. After having the said forced sexual intercourse with our client, you left without uttering a word to our client.

The following morning, our client narrated her ordeal to Oyinda and Oyinda’s boyfriend who showed sympathy with her. Oyinda’s boyfriend latterly gave our client a $100 (one hundred dollar) note to check herself for possible infection and get some contraceptives since she just had unprotected sex.

The aftermath of the incidence has been damaging to our client’s psychological, physical and emotional being. Our client’s state of being has been totally eroded wit the rape incidence and she has once had the thought of ending it all by taking her own life.

This was further exacerbated by your present stand against rape and sexual violence against women when indeed you have once perpetrated the crime against her and you never apologize to her.

Nigerian dancehall singer, Cynthia Morgan has unfollowed everyone on her Instagram page including music executive, Davido who promised to help her dwindling career.

Recall that the songstress was off the music radar for years and during this time, she revealed she was fazed with depression as she lost all her accounts to her former manager, Jude Okoye.

In her interview, she shared how Jude took over her VEVO account, her official Instagram page and stopped her from using her stage name but in reaction to her allegations, the talent manager revealed that she didn’t meet her financial obligations and agreement.

She gained empathy from well meaning people when she shared her plight in a interview in May of 2020 and top Nigerian singer, Davido even offered to help her dwindling career.

However, a recent check on her Instagram page shows that the songstress has unfollowed everyone on the image/video sharing app including Davido, who also recently declared that he’ll be unreachable for a while as he has some cleansing to do.

SA lady reveals what her ex did to her after breaking up with him

A South African lady has taken to microblogging platform, Twitter to share the despicable thing her ex-boyfriend did to her after she threatened to break up with him.

According to @Monica40449774 on the app, her ex-boyfriend ran over her and her mother with his car, multiple times and then went on to burn down their flat all because she ended things with him.

A distraught Monica took to Twitter to share photos of what her ex had done, revealing that she’s now left with nothing. She wrote on her page,

A Nigerian mother has angered a lot of Nigerians for beating up her 2-year-old daughter who was allegedly raped in Lagos.

A lady who shared details of the incident revealed that she met the mother and her two daughters around Idumota in Lagos when she noticed a red blood stain on her two year old daughter’s eyes and was curious to know what had caused it.

The mother of the two-year-old girl then shared that her infant daughter was raped and then went ahead to blame the little girl for bringing such defilement upon herself.

The mother dubbed her two-year-old daughter a prostitute, saying the toddler is always insisting to go out in search of the man who raped her.

When asked what she did to the man who raped her daughter, she said she did nothing to the man because her two-year-old daughter is at fault.

The lady’s statement has obviously angered a lot of people as they begin search for her so justice can be done on both her and her daughter’s rapist.

Protest ensue after pregnant wife of Edo politician is raped and murdered in Benin

The pregnant wife of Comrade Promise Igbinevbo, Mrs Queen Igbinevbo has been reported dead after she was raped and murdered at her home.

It’s reported that the deceased was alone at her home in Benin when her attackers gained entrance into the home through the ceiling.

In the report by LIB, a source who spoke with the publication stated that the intruders had come in search of her husband, Comrade Promise Igbinevbo, who is a Governorship Campaign Coordinator. However, when they didn’t find him at home on May 20, 2020, they raped and murdered his wife.

Mrs Queen, known to be a very religious woman in her neighbourhood, was discovered by neighbours who were worried that they have not seen her in a while.

A source said,

“When we could not see Queen, I came to check if she was fine, because she lives alone, we met her naked, blood and foam was coming out of her mouth. There was semen all over her body.

“We had to call her husband who is staying in another place.”

The source said neighbours reported seeing strange men walking up and down the street just days before the tragic incident. They also said three people have been arrested in relation to Mrs Queen Igbinevbo’s brutal murder.

The murder of Queen Igbinevbo sparked a demonstration in Benin. On Friday, June 5, protesters took to Edo State Police Command to demand justice for the deceased.

Some kindhearted Nigerians have extended a helping hand to the family of a young boy who was spotted picking food from the dustbin to eat. The well meaning people donated food items to the family, including cash.

What triggered the heartwarming gestures was the video a lady made of the boy where she asked him why he chose to pick left over food to eat. The young lad broke hearts when he responded emotionally to her question and it did have an effect on the lady recording too as she was almost led to tears.

After the lady shared the video online, it rapidly went viral with so many Nigerians asking for the location of the boy and his family, to offer help to him.

Rockypain, a charity page on Instagram, shared a footage of the young boy and his parents, where they presented relief materials to the family, including cash gift.

“75% of rape cases I’m handling involve religious leaders” – Actress, Foluke Daramola-Salako

Nollywood actress and pioneer of the Passion Against Rape and Abuse Africa, PARAA, Foluke Daramola-Salako has shared that about 75% of rape cases her organization has handled were perpetrated by religious leaders.

The actress revealed this during an interview with media personality, Funmi Iyanda. Foluke Daramola, who was raped by her tenant when she was 17, said;

“75% of the cases I have on my table are from religious leaders, and a lot of time, we don’t get to the end of it, because when we start, the family would come and tell us we should leave the religious leader to God.”.

She went on to dismiss claims that indecent dressing is what is responsible for the increase in the number of rape cases.

“Nothing attracts rape, it is a sign of weakness. Why do they rape minors, teenagers, and even old women, is that also about indecent dressing?

You hardly find rape cases against young women except for sexual assaults and abuse in workplaces, we find it mostly amongst kids, teenagers, and elderly women, how come you are now telling me it is indecent dressing? And we are not animals.” she said

A Nigerian lady has taken to social media to call out her aunt who allegedly physical abused her, and her husband for allegedly raping her when she was 13.

Chinwe Udeze Patricia on Facebook, shared how she went to live with her aunt and husband one Mr Julius and Mrs Martina Elemotse, after her aunt who was pregnant at that time begged her mother several times to allow her come live with her because she was having a hard time doing the house chores.

Chinwe accused her aunt of wrongly accusing her of stealing beverages, stripping her naked in front of her husband, making fun of her boobs in his presence and monitoring her phone conversation with her mother to ensure she doesn’t report the abuse.

Chinwe disclosed that her aunt’s husband took advantage of the abuse, raped her twice and threatened her several times.

She wrote on her page,

I was with my family jeje,when aunt called severally disturbing my mum on letting me Live with her, she was heavily pregnant with 3kids and claims to have difficulty with household chores…

Initially my mum never wanted me to go because according to her her sister won’t treat me well, but poor 13 yrs old me was too happy to go to Lagos, after much pressure from her evil husband my mum allowed me go to Lagos to live with them…

When I joined them in Lagos she told me never to interact with my mom in my dialect(Igbo) cos she never wanted me to report her abuse to my mom (my mom is Edo but married to Igbo) well it didn’t take long for her to start abusing me even in the presence of her rapist husband, aunty Martina will accuse me of stealing milk and Milo and strip me naked in front of her husband just to humiliate me, she will make fun of my boob’s in presence of her husband and kids… my mum will call to check on me and she will monitor the call so I can’t report to my mom,her husband took advantage of her maltreatments to me and raped me twice once under her nose and the other in her absence that was after he threatened me severally and took leverage with my aunt’s attitude on me…

Chinwe also disclosed how her aunt’s husband will always tell her his wife won’t believe her if she reports the abuse — he allegedly said he will only protect her from the way her aunt maltreats her if she allows him to sleep with her without struggling.

She further claimed that when her aunt found out what her husband has been doing, she increased her maltreatment and told her she will slowly kill her for trying to destroy her marriage. She went on for days without food with “severe beating” that made her look like she had an internal disease.

A distraught Chinwe added,

You see every rape enabler has one thing in common, they never speak against rape.
My aunt’s husband will tell me how my aunt will never believe me,he will also tell me he will protect me from my aunt’s maltreatments if only I allow him without struggling whenever he wanted…

My aunt has threatened me severally and abuse’s me for anything including when I didn’t properly wash her children’s clothes well, she made her children talk to me carelessly and also make references to my body cos their mom has stripped me severally in there presence.

After her rapist of her husband is done with me he buys me ampiclox and orders me to swallow it in his presence,I lived in constant fear of my life.
One day I had the courage to confide in her friends house help,she in turn told her aunty who told my aunt and all hell was let loose!!

When my aunt found out what her husband has been doing to me she increased her maltreatments and told me she will slowly kill me for trying to destroy her marriage,I went on for days without food with severe beating that made me look like I had an internal disease…

I was truly dying slowly and one day after her severe round of beatings I decided to run away,I had an uncle in another part of Lagos,I escaped to his house and they were dump founded with how unkept and shabby I looked, my aunt tried making me come back with lies of how she has changed but I stood my ground…

I never told any family member of how she and her husband brutally took away my innocence,I guess my mom found out herself but never questioned me about it…

Just in a bid to silence me, she has been to the inbox of most people that commented telling them nonsense and totally avioding my concerns…
I understand her plots and I’m not giving up till she gets her rapist husband to address my questions.

389 new cases of COVID-19 confirmed in Nigeria

In the latest update of the Covid-19 pandemic in the country, 389 new cases have been reported as of Saturday evening, June 6th by the National Centre for Disease Control.

In a new update on their Twitter page, the NCDC reports that there’s new cases in Lagos, FCT, Delta, Oyo, Borno, Rivers, Edo, Ebonyi, Anambra, Gombe, Nasarawa, Imo, Kano, Sokoto, Jigawa, Ogun, Bauchi, Kebbi, Kaduna, Katsina, Ondo, Abia and Niger

Young man beaten up for raping a girl, filming it and trying to blackmail

A suspected rapist received the beating of his life after he was caught by angry residents and security operatives.

According to reports, the suspect had lured the victim whom he claimed is his friend, to an apartment where he raped her, filmed the incident and subsequently planned to blackmail her with the footage.

After several attempts to blackmail the victim, security operatives were alerted about the situation and the suspect was caught and beaten by angry eye witnesses.

The suspect who was questioned about the reason for his action, couldn’t come up with a reasonable excuse for his evil action. He kept on saying the lady is ‘his friend’.

Harris family sextuplets of Birmingha, Alabama, have gained massive attention since their graduation from the Center Point High School in the United States.

The Birmingham family of sextuplets became a national sensation after their parents welcomed them into the world on July 8, 2002. They are also the first surviving African-American sextuplets.

According to reports, Diamond and Chris Harris welcomed their babies, two females, Kaylynne and Kiera, and four boys, Kaleb, Kobe, Kieran and Kyle after they used fertility dru*gs to get pregnant.

Diamond, a nurse, was prescribed fertility dr*gs by her doctor, who told them not to get their hopes up.

Before long, Diamond was pregnant, and the doctor excitedly told them it was twins. However, a sonogram showed them they were actually having five children.

On July 8, 2002, Diamond and Chris had welcomed the first-ever surviving set of African American sextuplets.

The genius sextuplets are proud graduates of Center Point High School, and the kids have their futures planned out.
