A Twitter user, Fatokun Matthew Babafemi took to the social networking platform recently to pay tribute to a former student of the Obafemi Awolowo University, Wendy, who died a year ago after she was involved in a fatal accident.
In a quite heartfelt thread posted on his page on Wednesday evening, Fatokun recounted how he witnessed Wendy fight so hard to live but in the end, gave up the ghost.
The gentleman also revealed Wendy was a first-class student who would have become a Chartered accountant.

Nollywood actress, Halima Abubakar has threatened to out some people’s favourite celebrities and billionaires who are guilty of rape and are shaming ladies who are speaking up now.
The thespian waded in on the current rape topic that’s been trending after women like Uwa Omozuwa and Barakat Bello were raped and murdered while in places where they should otherwise be safe.
The death of both ladies, 22 and 18 years old respectively and the rape of a 12-year-old girl by 11 men at different times in Jigawa has prompted other rape victims to speak up.
However, as the topic continues to trend, there are actually some people condemning rape victims for speaking up now, long after their tragic experiences.
Such people triggered actress, Halima Abubakar as she took to her Instagram to threaten exposing some prominent people who are guilty of rape and are trying to silence women.
The actress stated that most victims are afraid to come out because these men “hide and intimidate and even block their income“. She warned them not to push her to call them out.

Reality TV star and Entertainer, Natacha Akide popularly known as Tacha is grateful to God after she sold out 500 pieces of ‘Power Tacha’, her power bank brand in just two hours.
Tacha, a power influencer took to her social media pages to share the news to Titans, who apparently took it upon themselves to make sure they buy out 500 pieces of the powerbanks.
According to Tacha, the power bank costs N15,000 for a piece.

A 25 year-old-man identified as Wasiu Bankole has been arrested by the Ogun State Police Command for allegedly raping a 70-year-old woman.
It was gathered that the suspect broke into the home of his suspect at Abule lemode area of ijoko at about 8 pm, pinned down the woman and raped her.
It took the intervention of a neighbour who heard the woman’s scream and rushed in to save the victim. The suspect was said to have jumped off and ran away leaving his clothes, shoes and torchlight inside her room.
The incident reportedly happened on June 2.
After the act, the woman reported the incident at the Agbado Division of the State Police Command.
Confirming the incident, the Ogun State Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Abimbola Oyeyemi, said the matter was taken up after it was reported and the DPO Agbado division, SP Kuranga Yero, dispatched his detectives to look for the suspect and bring him to justice.
“The detectives succeeded in getting him arrested 24 hours after and brought him to the station.
On interrogation, he confessed committing the crime but claimed to have acted under the influence of alcohol. The victim has been taken to the hospital for medical attention.”
Oyeyemi added that the state police commissioner has ordered the transfer of the suspect to the anti-human trafficking and child labour unit of the State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department (SCIID).
“Meanwhile, the commissioner of police CP Kenneth Ebrimson has ordered the immediate transfer of the suspect to the anti-human trafficking and child labour unit of the State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department (SCIID) Abeokuta for further investigation and diligent prosecution”.
The allegations of rape and sexual assault by male celebrities seems to be never ending in the wake of the #SayNoToRape stories that’s been rocking social media for a while now.
As rape victims begin to speak out on the ordeals they faced with a forceful male individual, a handful of male celebrities are not left out in the stories.
While it may be hard for some of these rape victims to come out to call out celebrities who forcefully had their way with them, some have found the courage to do so and social media is helping amplify their voices.
In a new development, a lady, Kambili Korie on Twitter, has in a series of tweets shared her experience with former Big Brother Africa winner, Uti Nwachukwu, three years back.
While claiming that the now TV presenter raped her in the year 2017, she went on to allege that he’s bisexual and treats males better even though he’s into females more.

Uti asked if we can be friends, I agreed. Who wouldn’t want to be friends with a star? We hanged out a few times and I felt he was fun to be with. He even promised to connect me to a popular modeling agency.
The first time I went out with Uti, I told him we were just gonna be friends. I didn’t want any problem with his girl because she liked me a lot and we were on the verge of becoming friends. I wasn’t a virgin then.
But I had my reservations. He tried convincing me to visit him, but I told him”I don’t want your girl to break my head”. The common female slang then. He then asked to come to my house. I was sharing an apartment with one of my female friends.
We were actually comfortable but then I felt a little insecure aboutthe apartment. I felt someone like Uti should be welcomed in a glamorous apartment. I tried towave the idea off and told him we should just keep hanging out,but he was insistent so I gave in.
He finally came around and everything went fine. We talked, we laughed and that was it. We got closer after that day. When I realized I was beginning to develop feelings for Uti, I had to give him a little space.
He kept coming close,I kept keeping my distance. One fateful day,he came around without letting me know. My roommate wasn’t home then. I was a bit angry with him for the surprise visit but I didn’t consider it a big deal.
He made advances at me. Told me I was the prettiest girl he knew and that he was obsessed with me. I told him we could talk this out. He fled up. In his words “I always get what I want”. And that was when he forced himself on me.
When I told my roommate about it,she didn’t believe it. I told one of my coworkers, he never believed. That was when I decided I won’t mention it again. Uti went ahead to tell the guy I was dating, that I have been trying to seduce him.

Kambili Korie went on to reveal that Uti never messaged her with his real number which is why she never got enough evidence and he threaded carefully with his actions. He shared a screenshot of an alleged chat with him where he admitted to raping her and saying he did it as a man and not because he doesn’t love her.
Further investigation into her claims had us stumbling onto a tweet of the TV presenter in the same year and month that Kambili Korie claims to have been raped by him where he said “He’ll be forceful if he loves you”
As at the time of filing this report, Uti is yet to refute Kambili’s claims.
Prosecutors charged three more police officers Wednesday in the death of George Floyd and filed a new, tougher charge against the officer at the center of the case.
The mugshots of the four police officers involved in the death of an African American, George Floyd, have been released.
Their mugshots were released after Senator Amy Klobuchar disclosed that Minnesota Attorney General, Keith Ellison is increasing charges against former Minneapolis police officer Derek Chauvin to second-degree murder.
The Star Tribune, citing multiple unnamed law enforcement sources, said Derek Chauvin who had his knee pressed into Floyd’s neck for nearly nine minutes, would face the more serious charge in the death of George Floyd.
Adeyeye Babatunde, a final year student of the Lagos State University who was recently lambasted on social media after a video of him sucking the lips of his sister, has now apologized after being dubbed a pedophile.
Babatunde triggered the wrath of so many Nigerians after the video he recorded of himself kissing a little girl who looks no older than 5-year-old on her lips, was shared online.
In a new video, Adeyeye apologizes and claims he only French kissed her sister out of the likeness they have for each other as siblings. According to him, he didn’t know the gravity of what he’d done and how viral the video would go, he then promises that the incident won’t happen again and begged the people to make it “die down”.
A lady, who’s also seen in the video and is believed to be the mother of the little girl, added that there’s nothing going on and the man was just “playing” with the girl.
Record label boss, Davido, as at the time of filing this report, is no longer following one of his record label’s prominent artists, Peruzzi on Instagram.
This action came not long after Twitter users dug up tweets of Peruzzi from 2011/2012, admitting he is a rapist. Davido’s action also comes after Peruzzi was accused of rape by a lady on social media, an allegation in which he has since denied.

An 18-year-old lady, identified as Barakat Bello was reportedly murdered at her home in Ibadan after she resisted rape.
In an emotional video now making the rounds on social media, the mother of Barakat Bello, Mrs Kafayat Bello, has begged God to expose her daughter’s killers within seven days.
In an interview with BBC Yoruba, the distraught mother said she was not at home during the attack but returned home to see her daughter in a pool of blood.
Her words;
“Only God knows how it happened. I was not at home. Some neighbours called me around 6pm. By the time I got home, I found my daughter in the pool of blood. I was shocked. She took her phone to Kara for repair on Sunday and went to retrieve it on Monday around 2pm. Some people saw her around 5pm while returning home.
She later went to fetch water to take a bath. Those killers had stolen some things in our room. They met her on their way out through the backyard and attacked her. Her younger sister, who had gone to the Arabic class, was the one that alerted the neighbours when she found her in the pool of blood.”
“She made a lot of promises for me to turn our lives around because we are poor. They (the killers) did not make my daughter fulfil all her promises.
There is nothing people can do for me that would bring her back to life. But one thing I am asking Allah is whoever is involved in the killing of my daughter be exposed before seven days”.
Barakat has since been buried according to Islamic rites.
The Oyo state police command says it is investigating the incident.
A four-year-old nursery pupil has recounted her sordid ordeal she experienced with her school uncle who stripped her of her innocence and raped her repeatedly while in school.
A quite heartbreaking video which recently hit the internet, shows the little girl narrating her sad encounter with the rapist identified as Elias.
The four-year-old revealed how her school uncle, Elias assaults her whenever she comes to school, and how he manhandles her private part.
The mother of the rape victim, identified as Ayele Esther also shared details of her daughter’s encounter — she shared how her daughter sustained injuries on her private part due to the sexual assault.
Esther who broke into tears while narrating the ordeal of her daughter, mentioned that the uncle usually lures her daughter with packets of sweets, and after raping her, he will warn her to keep quiet about the incident.

Two ladies, who are upcoming actresses have in recent posts on their respective social media pages called out a Nollywood movie producer, Victor Okpala who allegedly demanded sex from them for movie roles.

Few hours later, another lady, Sharon Osiyerimo Ohunene Jatto, also an aspiring actress, took to her own page to share a conversation she had with the producer which is akin to that of Divine.

Earlier today, news made the rounds of a lady who accused Nigerian music icon, DBanj of raping her about two years ago. The lady, identified as Seyi has now revealed herself as she shares more details of what transpired the night the singer took advantage of her.
With a series of tweets on her page, Seyi also shared a WhatsApp conversation from 2019 talking about the incident with a friend. According to her, she so livid and angry seeing a rapist being an advocate for rape.
She wrote alongside a screenshot of the whatsapp conversation,
“I was invited for an all white party at Eko Atlantic(splash off)which was an all night party on the 30th of December 2018, by franklin Dbanj ex manager at that time and I went with my friend then named Laide.
When I got to the party I met a girl at the party named Oyin,who was with a guy who happens to be Dbanj’s friend. she asked who I came with I told her the person I came with already left.
When I was leaving oyin and I exchanged number and she asked where I was lodged I told her Glee hotel in VI, and she said it was the same hotel she was lodged and I asked her if she could drop me off she said that wasn’t a problem.
On getting to the hotel,Oyin called me when I got to my room. and told me dbanj saw me at the party and he wanted to be with me for the night and I was offered a sum of money but i bluntly refused because I wasn’t interested.

A woman named Aisha, who was present on the night Peruzzi’s accuser claims she was raped by the singer, has defended Peruzzi while stating that the accuser is lying.
Earlier today, a woman took to Twitter today to accuse Peruzzi of rape. The woman claimed she followed a friend named Aisha to Peruzzi’s house and, at night, while everyone was asleep, Peruzzi raped her. She said she tried to wake Aisha up but she was fast asleep.
Well, to clear his name, Peruzzi went on Instagram Live with the Aisha lady.
Aisha and Peruzzi admitted that they had a thing in the past but Aisha has now moved on.
Aisha also said that she knows Peruzzi and he will never do such. She added that she was there and her friend was not raped as she claims.

A new video currently circulating social media, shows the last moments of late 22 year old 100L UNIBEN student, Uwaila Omozuwa who was raped and murdered when she went to read inside a church in Edo state.
Uwaila Omozuwa, as can be seen in the video, was fighting for her life as at some point, while receiving treatment was still able to slightly move her body but eventually gave up the ghost.
Her death has since sparked an outcry on and off social media with people protesting against rape and incessant killings in the country.

Uwadia, a 100 level student of the department of Microbiology, went to read inside a church on Wednesday, May 27 and was raped and murdered by yet to be identified persons.
The sister of the deceased who spoke to newsmen, demanded justice for her late sister. She said bite marks were all over Uwadia’s body when they saw her.

In the wake of the rape and sexual assault that has been buzzing on social media over the last few days, a lady has taken to Twitter to allege that popular DMW recording artiste, Peruzzi raped her 8 years back.
The lady in her allegation gave in details how the alleged rape happened.
According to the lady, at the time, she’d accompanied a friend named Aisha to visit the singer in the blocks of flats popularly called 1004. She revealed that at that particular night, Peruzzi tried to touch her in the room she was sleeping in with Aisha but she refused.
She shared how she changed location and went to the parlor downstairs and while she was there, Peruzzi came again after she had dozed off and allegedly tried touching her. She continued by saying that she objected but he forcefully shifted her underwear and raped her.
She said she never reported to anyone because she was scared and because her parents didn’t know she was in Lagos.
A Nigerian mixologist who witnessed moment corpses of Coronavirus patients were loaded into a van at the Infectious Disease Hospital in Yaba, has spoken up against relaxation of the lockdown in Lagos.
The man who took a sick friend to the hospital for treatment, said he has seen 7 people die in a space of 14 hours. @AmeenJimoh described relaxation of the lockdown as the worst idea anyone could conceive as the daily cases is now more than the capacity of the isolation centers in Lagos state.
He also recalled how a young man who only had his boxers on, died on the floor of the Lagos Island general hospital because “hospitals are stressed”.

I have seen 7 people die in a space of 14 hours. A man died in his car, another was brought in the afternoon, died at night. It’s no fuvking joke. Relaxing this lockdown is the worst idea anyone could conceive. The daily cases occurring is more than the capacity of the isolation centres in Lagos combined.
Secondly the daily cases aren’t daily per se ad the results don’t often come out immediately, there’s a lag. Health care officials are doing the most. The hospitals are stressed, this is the worst time to fall ill or catch a serious flu, you’d be turned away, and serve around till you probably die.
This was the case in Lagos Island general hospital. A young man died on the bare floor with just boxers on, the only treatment he was given was “FANTA”. The hospitals are stressed. We are on our own. Stay safe!

Only son of billionaire businessman, Femi Otedola, Fewa Otedola recently turned 20 and to celebrate the lad, his sister DJ Cuppy took to her Twitter to share a rare and adorable photo of them together.
In her caption, she informed her fans and followers, again, that her only brother is autistic and this is nothing to be ashamed of.
“Happy Birthday Fewa Otedola!” she began, adding, “My little brother turns 20 today… He has AUTISM and there is absolutely no shame in being on the spectrum. He is MY God-given gift! I LOVE YOU SO MUCH!”
This comes one month after Cuppy’s sister, Tolani Otedola, slammed people who called Fewa “mentally ill.”
“It breaks my heart,” said the singer on her Instagram Live, “that the ‘press’ can use such insensitive language when talking about something that affects so many people.”
She continued, letting everyone know that Fewa is autistic.
“My brother is not ‘mentally unstable’. He has autism,” she wrote. “Being autistic is not a disease or an illness. What it mean is that the per’s brain works in a different way from other people’s.”
Popular Nigerian comic actor, Chinedu Ikedieze alias Aki, has revealed why he will forever remain grateful to ex-President, Goodluck Jonathan.
The thespian made this known in a recent interview he had with The Nation Newspaper.
According to him, he noted that he will forever remain grateful to ex-President Goodluck Jonathan for honouring him with a Member of the Order of the Federal Republic (MFR).
Aki said the revered national honour which was conferred on him in 2011 has been the greatest surprise he got in his life and career till date.
Narrating how it all happened and how he felt, he said; “It was Aunty Peace Anyiam-Anyiam-Osigwe, the Chief Executive of the AFRICA MOVIE ACADEMY AWARDS (AMAA) who called me that time, sometime in 2010 and told me that I should send my profile and other materials.
“There was a time she mentioned about the national award but my brother, that was the least thing I expected to consume.
At that time I was like how much are my going to be getting from them to my little understanding then. I didn’t pay much attention to it but I submitted the information she required.
“About some months later, somebody called me that I should go and check one of the national dailies that my name was shortlisted for the national award honors, and I was like how, to be honest I had forgotten that I submitted my credentials.
“I ran quickly to go and get myself a copy of the paper and opened the page and I saw my name, I was no 144 on the category of member of the federal republic, I couldn’t believe it.
“I will be forever grateful to Goodluck Ebele Jonathan for remembering us for the little things that we do, that we were able to change the narrative in the entertainment industry, it was bigger than I could chew.
“I am so grateful and remain forever grateful for his gesture.”
On when he realized he achieved fame, the actor and businessman said it was when he made his first million in the year 2003.
In his words; “I couldn’t believe it, I knew that wow this happened, I am sorry I have to be honest I said okay so I have been doing something”.
It could be recalled that in 2007, Aki received the Lifetime Achievement Award at the African Movie Academy Awards and subsequently in 2011, he was awarded the MFR for his immense contributions to Nollywood and to the economic growth of the country.
TECNO Foundation has donated essential medical supplies in response to the COVID-19 pandemic to the Nigerian Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) in support of the fight against the ravaging coronavirus pandemic in Nigeria.
The material donation which was handed over to the Lagos office of the NCDC on Tuesday, June 2nd, 2020 by officials of TECNO Foundation included 100,000 medical masks, 10,000 medical gloves, 1,000 Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and 5,000 googles amongst others.
Speaking during the presentation, an official of TECNO Foundation, Mr Attai Oguche who handed over the medical materials to officials of the NCDC reiterated the importance of adequately equipping medical personnel who are at the forefront of the battle against the deadly virus.
While receiving the donation on behalf of the Director General of NCDC, Dr. Chikwe Ihekweazu, Mrs. Olajumoke Babatunde, Head, Lagos NCDC expressed gratitude and acknowledges the kind gesture by TECNO Foundation in showing care for the health care workers who are at the fore front of the fight. “The PPEs donated here today will be used judiciously because NCDC is supporting 36+1 states. Some of these items will be taken to the other states of the federation to support the response activities” she said.

According to Mr Oguche, “health care workers are the most exposed to the virus because they deal directly with the cases. For Nigeria to win the fight against coronavirus, medical personnel should get all the support needed in terms of equipment and motivation.”
“There is a need for material intervention at this time as we collectively battle COVID-19. Obviously, health care workers need more protective equipment to fight the virus and care for the cases. That is why TECNO Foundation is donating today” he said.
Mr Oguche further thanked the government of Nigeria, the NCDC and all medical personnel involved in the fight against the pandemic for the progress recorded so far and promised the continuous support of TECNO Foundation.
TECNO Foundation is giving these medical materials with love and earnest prayers to support the medical personnel for their efficacy in this grim war. “We believe humanity shall prevail,” Oguche said.

Popular Instagram comedian, Oluwadolarz, has reacted to the rape allegation that was leveled against him recently by an anonymous lady on Twitter.
A Twitter user @unilaganon took to the platform to tell people to expose popular influencers who might have raped or assaulted them in the past.
@unilaganon then went on to share a DM from a certain lady accusing the comedian of raping her two years ago.
The lady, said to be 19 years of age, alleged that the Comedian saw her photo on IG when she was 17 and contacted her — she revealed that the comedian mentioned to her that she has a pretty face and would like to feature her in one of his skits.
She then claimed he invited her over to his house where he allegedly drugged her and raped her. She also alleged that she had an abortion for him.

The comedian who upon seeing the post, made a video reacting to the allegation. He denied the allegation stating that he has never and will never rape a person.
He asked his accuser to come online to share proof. He also mentioned that he will be pressing charges.
This is false accusation and I will like to press charges because I have never raped anybody in my life. You that sent that message, come out plain, post your picture, post proof, post when I aske dyou to come down to my house two years ago, post when you accused me of rape by chat. Just post something to tell the world that I actually raped you.
