A female National Youth Service Corps Member’s life has been tragically cut short after she slumped and died in Rivers State.
The entire 2019 Batch C,Stream 2,Corp members in Rivers State, have been thrown into deep mourning after one of their own, Atiye Florence Aduke, lost her life on Saturday May 30th, 2020.
According to reports, Miss Aduke slumped and hit her head against a wall in her house on Wednesday, 27th May, 2020. She was quickly rushed to the hospital but efforts to save her live proved abortive.
Sharing the painful news on Facebook, a relative, Atiye Olawale, wrote;
“Painfull exit, Atiye Florence Aduke u told me that I should come and visit you once u come back from Port Harcourt to Lagos of which i make move?, before getting there, u call? me on my way that “Bros Wale” don’t bother yourself ‘I will be fine’ but greet? our mother for me till I come back from my journey. Not knowing that u are saying your last word.???????????”
A married man identified simply as Lucky has been apprehended by residents in Abakpa, Enugu State after defiling a 13-year-old girl.
The minor identified as Godiya met Lucky after leaving her grandmother’s house who scolded her. The suspect who she asked for direction took her to a bush where he defiled her, gave her yoghurt and N2000 to ‘keep mute’.
According to a Facebook user, Leon Dag, the padophile also impregnated a 15-year-old girl who gave birth two weeks ago.
He wrote;

On Monday, June 1st,2020, she was scolded by her grandmother and she threatened to go back to her mother. On her way,she met lucky and asked him for directions and he took her to the back of a house where there was bush and defiled her . He gave her yoghurt and N2000 to keep mute .
After a while , her worried grandmother started a search for her and asked a couple of guys who had seen her grand daughter earlier and they took her to where they saw her . Godiya was interrogated when she got home and forced to confessed due to the beating she received from her grandmother . She revealed Lucky had threatened to kill her if she told anyone.
She started bleeding and passed out and was rushed to the hospital for treatment while Lucky was handed over to the police after thorough beating.We also found out that he impregnated a 15-year-old girl and she gave birth two weeks ago .
A notorious cultist, Adewale Adeoye a.k.a 16 was paraded on Tuesday June 2 by the Ogun state police command, alongside 30 others arrested for various crimes.
The suspects paraded at the command headquarters in Eleweran, Abeokuta were arrested over their alleged involvement in cultism, armed robbery, murder and illegal possession of firearms.
Adeoye said to be a member of the Eiye Confraternity, was arrested alongside five others at their hideout in Ijebu-Ode. The Commissioner of Police in the state, Kenneth Ebrimson said the suspect has been on their wanted list in connection with cult-related killings in Ijebu-Ode and its environs.
Two locally-made single-barrelled pistols, one double-barrelled pistol, 11 live cartridges, assorted charms and Indian hemp were recovered from them.
Speaking to newsmen, Adeoye said he had only killed 3 people and not 16 as speculated. The suspect who identified his victims as Vandan, Koledowo and Abas, said two of them are killers of the leader of the Eiye Confraternity in Ijebu-Ode.
The notorious cultist who said he is a professional printer and a drop-out from Michael Otedola College of Education, revealed that he was the fourth in command in the confraternity in 2017 and later became the second in command a year later.
Adeoye said;
“I have been arraigned twice. I was first arraigned in 2012 and regained my freedom in 2015 because the complainant did not show up in court and they could not find anything incriminating against me.
“A few days after, the police came for my arrest again and kept me in custody for another two years before I regained my freedom again in 2017.
“I have not renounced my membership. They didn’t give me the chance because they told me that they would kill me if I renounced my membership.
“I was made Chairman of a unit in the RTEAN in Ijebu Ode, but I can tell you that I have not killed 16 people, but only three.”
In new reports following the wake of rape and sexual assault that’s had Nigerian internet buzzing over the last few days, a new case of attempted rape followed by murder has just been reported.
An 18-year-old lady, identified as Barakat Bello is reported to have murdered at her home in Ibadan after she resisted rape.
Though there are multiple versions of this story. According to Twitter user, @DrOlufunmilayo who shared the news, Barakat was home alone when the incident occurred.
Barakat, a Muslim Hijabi sister, was home alone when suspected armed robbers invaded her home to steal and in course of that, raped and killed her.
Another report gathered says that the deceased was stabbed to death by the robbers while resisting their attempt to rape her.
Barakat was a year 1 student in the Federal College of animal health and production in Ibadan. She has since been buried.

A Nigerian man has provoked members of the Facebook community after he revealed his intentions to rape his daughter in the future.
The man said this while reacting to a shocking post about a man who abused his own child.
While many frowned at the ungodly act, Facebook user, Ofe Noni, laughed about it and said he can’t wait to have his own daughter so he can have his way with her when her mother isn’t around.

An unidentified man has triggered anger from a handful of Nigerians after he recorded a video of himself kissing a little girl on her lips and the video made its way to the internet.

While reacting to the quite vile video, Nigerians are demanding that the man in the video be brought to justice defiling the little girl —a minor— being assaulted.

A Nigerian man tendered a public apology to a Nigerian lady on Facebook, for fondling her breast without her consent some years back.
The lady, identified as Iphie Alfred on the platform, took to her page to call out one Justice Chimaoke Nzeabuike — Iphie demanded an apology from him for the “atrocity” he committed against her some years ago.
She wrote on her page,
Justice Chimaoke Nzeabuike you have 48hrs to tender a public apology to me here on facebook for the atrocity you committed against me few years ago.
I have not been in communication with you since until today.

The said Justice Chimaoke then saw the post and took to the comment section to apologize and also share his own side of the story.
According to him, the incident occurred over five years ago when he was in his service year. He claimed Iphie came to visit his friend and roommate, a certain Tony and that Iphie and the said Tony had issues so she decided to leave but did not have transport fare.
He claimed he offered her money but asked for intimacy in return which she agreed to. He said he regretted his action and apologized to Iphie months later.
Iphie saw his comment and expressed shock at his claim. According to her, she and Tony never had issues. She claimed that it was while she was asleep at night that Justice began to fondle her boobs.
After a friend asked what really transpired, Iphie stated that she was sleeping when Justice sexually assaulted her.
Iphie maintained that Justice touched her body without her consent though he’s claiming she was awake while he touched her. She went on to state that she has the right to decide who touches her body.
After all the back and forth, Justice eventually tendered a public apology to Iphie on his Facebook page, writing,
Iphie then accepted his apology as well but indicated that shortly after she accepted his apology, Justice went on to delete the post from his timeline.
A man identified as Zeloti John, has met his untimely death at the hands of his 21-year-old friend, Ishaku, following a fight over the ownership of a girlfriend at Kanwara, Dass, Bauchi State.
The incident occurred on Friday, May, 29, 2020. Zeloti was stabbed in three different parts of his body with a knife by Ishaku, during an argument over who was the real boyfriend of the girl.
The deceased was buried on Monday amidst shout for justice by his other friends.

An autopsy conducted on late Twilight actor, Boyce Gregory, and his Nigerian girlfriend, Natalie Adepoju has revealed they both died of cocaine overdose.
It should be recalled that the couple were found dead at Gregory’s Las Vegas home on May 13, 2020, by his cousin. Police officers revealed that they found a white ‘powdery substance’ inside the room when they arrived at the scene.
According to Clark County coroner, John Fudenberg, the couple died from an ”accidental” overdose of cocaine and fentanyl intoxication.

Inspector-General of Police, Adamu Mohammed, has according to new reports, ordered the immediate transfer of the rape and murder case involving UNIBEN undergraduate, Vera Uwaila Omozuwa, from the Edo state police command to the Force Headquarters, Abuja.
This was disclosed in a statement released by the force spokesperson, Frank Mba, today June 2nd. The statement reads
The Inspector General of Police, IGP M.A Adamu, NPM, mni has ordered the immediate transfer of the ongoing investigations into the inhuman sexual assault and death of Miss Vera Uwaila Omosuwa which occurred recently in Benin, Edo State from the Police State Headquarters, Benin to the Force headquarters, Abuja.
The IGP’s directive is sequel to the preliminary report from the team of investigators and forensic experts earlier deployed to assist the Edo State Police Command in the investigations into the unfortunate incident. The DIG in charge of the Force Criminal Investigation Department (FCID), DIG Anthony Ogbizi Michael, fdc will henceforth provide direct supervision and ensure speedy and thorough investigation of the case.”
Mba added that the IGP has also ordered the immediate deployment of specialized investigators and additional investigation assets to all gender desk offices and juvenile welfare centers nationwide.

A Nigerian man Bulama Bakarti, has revealed that he got a former primary school teacher jailed after the man’s daughter wrote him a letter, begging him to save her from her father who rapes her.
Bakarti revealed that the girl’s mother died and the father remarried. However, he looked for every opportunity to send his new wife out of the house so that he could be left alone with his daughter.
He began raping his daughter from age 7 to age 14 when the girl opened up to a neighbour who then told her to write a letter and the letter was sent to Bakarti.
The human rights activist said the girl begged that she doesn’t want her father jailed. She said she only wants to be taken away from him and his new wife, who had started maltreating her after she discovered that her husband had an unholy interest in his daughter.
Bakarti wrote: “I contacted Hajiya Hussain the Kano State Chair of FIDA. She wasn’t in town so she linked me up with another Hajiya who kindly offered to help us and accommodate the victim. I reported to the Police Area Command at Bank Road Kano (former MTD), who immediately swung into action.”
The man was eventually jailed while the girl was placed in the custody of someone else.

In a new shocking development following the death of Uwa Omozuwa who was raped and murdered after, last week, sister to the deceased has in a new interview revealed the shocking demand the police requested from her family before they can bring justice for Uwa’s death.
Uwa’s sister is seen in a new video talking to pressmen and revealing to them the ordeal her family faced when they went to lodge a complaint over her sister’s death. According to her, the policemen said Uwa’s father didn’t visit the police station when in actual fact, he consistently paid them a visit so they can investigate the death of his daughter.
She aired her disappointment with the Nigerian police after revealing that the policemen said “her sister is not the first to be raped” and as such, they shouldn’t bother the police. She went on to reveal how they asked for “mobility money” to carry out the investigation of Uwa’s death.
As seen in the video currently serving rounds, Uwa’s sister made these allegations to pressmen in the presence of other police officers which certainly means she wouldn’t lie of such things.

An elderly man was caught molesting a lady inside a bus in wake of the UNIBEN female student, Uwa Omozuwa who was raped and murdered inside a church.
A Twitter user, @DanielFaithArts, who shared the video online revealed that the lady, who is his sister was molested all the way from Abuja to Akure by a male passenger who sat behind her inside a bus.
As can be seen in the video, the molester visibly touches the lady’s thigh severely as they traveled together on Monday.
@DanielFaithArts said his sister was forced to video the occurrence after she first raised an alarm about it and was told by other passengers that she was overreacting.
He also claimed that the lady tried reporting the incident to a soldier on the road, but was allegedly told to keep quiet or be detained after the alleged molester spoke to the officer in Hausa.
Well known baker, whose prominence dwells in Delta State, Achiki Okoacha, has been reported dead after she was involved in a fatal auto crash along Agbor road.
According to reports surrounding her demise, Achiki who was in the company of her friend, Jenny, was returning from Asaba where she had gone to deliver a cake.

“I don’t live in America and it has nothing to do with me, but to me, it seems like the ‘whites’ won. If you’re angry, you response in rage and anguish and that means it has power over you. They have power over you. Foolish humans. (sic)”
Addressing black people, she wrote,
“To the black people: Relax, take it as a challenge, makes you stronger. You chose to be born as a ‘coloured’ person in America for a reason. To learn a certain lesson. Accept it as it is, till now hunger and poverty still exists. It is what it is. It’s inevitable. Best you can do is remain calm, protect heart, don’t allow it to crumble. That’s your responsibility. “
The Miss Universe Malaysia Ogranisation also released a statement to distance themselves from Samantha’s views on the ongoing protests.
Part of their statement reads,
“Miss Universe Malaysia Organisation (MUMO) notes with dismay the recent social media posts made by Samantha Kate James, a past winner of Miss Universe Malaysia. We also note that these posts are inappropriate, offensive, unacceptable and hurtful.”
More than 15,000 people have so far signed a petition on Change.org for James’ crown to be revoked by Miss Universe Malaysia in light of her comments.
The petition against James claimed that she was unfit to represent Malaysia and seeks to compel the pageant runners to strip the latter of her crown and title.
“Her ignorance and lack of self and privilege awareness do not reflect the Miss Universe Malaysia title and with this petition, we hope she will be stripped of her title,” read the petition.
Nigerian Reggae legend, Majekodunmi Fasheke, better known as Majek Fashek died in the city of New York on the 1st of June, 2020.
In new reports following his demise, it’s now been revealed that the singer lost his life after battling with cancer for almost a year — this is according to Vanguard.
The news of Majek’s death was announced by artiste manager, Joy Tongo. Majek Fashek’s manager, Uzoma Day Omenka then confirmed the news on the singer’s Instagram page on Tuesday morning. According to him, he died at 11.45 pm June 1, 2020, Nigerian time.
He also confirmed the singer died in New York, not in London where he was previously receiving treatment. Uzoma stated that the doctors advised he should be moved close to his family, which influenced his being moved to New York where his wife and three sons live.
He said Majek was separated from his family for 10 years until last year September when they were reunited on the advice of his doctors that he should be close to his family.
“We moved him from London to New York last September on the advice of the doctors that he should stay close to the family. Majek reunited with his family last year after 10 years of separation. He died in their company, ” Uzoma said.
Details of his funeral arrangement will be made available in due time.
