A funny video making the rounds on social media shows the moment a man pretended to have been infected by the deadly coronavirus as he used a ‘coughing technique’ to displace passengers in a train from their seat.
In the video, the man with a face mask boarded the train. He got to a row of seats and saw that it was occupied already by other passengers.
While pretending to be looking for a space in the seat, he started coughing, causing panic among the passengers who feared he might be infected with the coronavirus.
To prevent themselves from contracting a disease, they all left the seat for him.

The Kano State Government has announced Alhaji Aminu Ado Bayer, the Emir of Bichi, has been appointed as the new emir of Kano.
The Secretary to the State Government, Alhaji Usman Alhaji made the announcement today, hours after Muhammadu Sanusi ll was dethroned.
Alhaji said the appointment was in line with the provision of Kano state Emirate Council Law 2019. “Section 11 (1) of the Law has empowered the governor to appointment Alhaji Aminu Ado Bayero as the emir of Kano,” he said.
A Nigerian army officer, Lieutenant Abayomi Adisa has penned down a heart-melting birthday message to his wife Adenike Oni-Adisa.
Adisa who expressed happiness at spending another year with his wife, pledged his “unconditional and unfailing love” which he described as his “most precious gift” to his wife.

The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) has begun a two- week warning strike which begins today Monday, March 9th.
National President of ASUU, Professor Biodun Ogunyemi, announced this at end of the National Executive Council meeting(NEC) held at the Enugu State University of Science and Technology (ESUT).
He said the strike action was to compel Federal government to implement the agreements and resolutions of Memorandum of Action discussed in the 2009 ASUU-FGN agreement, the 2013 Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) and the 2017 Memorandum of Action (MoU), all of which have not been implemented.
A viral video on social media shows the moment a man unleashed hell on his grandmother over alleged claims by a pastor that she is a witch.

The Kano State Executive Council has approved the dethronement of the Emir of Kano, Mallam Muhammad Sanusi, at a special sitting held on Monday.
Before the dethronement, there was crisis in the Kano State House of Assembly on Monday over the issue.
As of the time of filing this report, security had been beefed up at the House of Assembly complex.
It was learnt that the fight broke out during a debate on the report of the Chairman of Kano State Public Complaints and Ant-Corruption Commission.

Nigeria has confirmed the second case of Covid-19 (Coronavirus). The case is a contact of the index case, the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) said on Monday morning.
Osagie Ehanire, minister of health, said the fresh coronavirus case tested positive on March 8.

Volunteers will reportedly receive £3,500 to be infected with coronavirus in a bid to find a cure for the deadly virus.
Volunteers are being paid to be intentionally infected with coronavirus and live in quarantine at the Queen Mary BioEnterprises Innovation Centre in Whitechapel.
According to The Daily Star, They will be injected with two common but much less serious strains of the virus.
Hvivo, the company behind the laboratory at Queen Mary, will be infecting 24 volunteers at a time with the 0C43 and 229E strains of the virus. It is thought these strains will cause mild respiratory symptoms and be much less severe than the coronavirus that is currently spreading around the globe.
It is assumed a vaccine can be developed from this testing that would tackle the destructive virus.
Anyone who has volunteered to take part in this study will have to stay in quarantine for two weeks.
There will be some restrictions placed on the participants during this time, including no exercise or physical contact with other people. They will only be able to eat and drink certain foods.
Any nurses or doctors who work on this study will have to wear ventilators and protective clothes while they are working in the lab or with any material that may be infected with the virus, such as dirty tissues or blood tests.
The UK’s Medicines and Healthcare Products Regulatory Agency will have to agree on Hvivo’s plans before this experiment can take place.
This testing is part of a $2bn global effort to find a vaccine for coronavirus. Over 20 Covid-19 vaccines are currently being developed, according to the World Health Organisation.
Following the experiment, the most effective drugs and vaccines will be chosen, and these will be used on patients who naturally contract coronavirus.

The Police in Katsina State have arrested 27-year-old, Shaf’u Haruna, for allegedly killing a young girl identified as Hamsiya Lawal, over dispute on the ownership of her pregnancy.
According to the state police command spokesperson, Gambo Isah, Haruna of the Dorawar Natiba, Birdigau village, Kankara LGA of Katsina state, allegedly killed the victim who he claims was his girlfriend sometime in December, 2019 over dispute on the ownership of her pregnancy.
Haruna who went into hiding after commiting the said crime, was caught and arrested last Tuesday.
According to the police spokesman, Haruna tricked the victim to a nearby bush, where he allegedly strangled and smashed her brain with heavy stone, killing her instantly.
The mother of one of Ubi Franklin’s children has shared her opinion about Nigeria after her 2-year stay in the country.
Nicola Siyo, a South African woman and mother of Ubi’s third child, said there is a lack of women’s right in Nigeria and it’s “sickening”.

Presiding Bishop of Living Faith Church Worldwide also known as Winners’ Chapel, Bishop David Oyedepo, has said that the present government of Nigeria which is the Buhari-led administration, is the worst thing that has ever happened to Nigeria.

Chieme Martins, a Nigerian footballer, on Sunday afternoon, March 8th slumped and died during one of the Nigeria Professional League games.
Chieme was a Nassarawa United player, and he slumped after he collided with a Katsina United player during the football match.
He was subsequently rushed to Dalhatu- Araf Specialist Hospital in Lafia where he was pronounced dead.
According to reports, his teammates went on to win the game, with three goals to nil… but below is a video of them weeping and wailing after they got hold of the news that Chieme has passed.
Reacting to Chieme’s death, the Chairman of the League Management Committee (LMC), Shehu Dikko, said the league regrets the passing of the young man in his prime.
“We commiserate with Nasarawa United and the immediate family of the late player,” Mr Dikko said.
He added: “It is hoped that the findings of the autopsy would inform subsequent measures, if any that has not been addressed by the existing standard procedure.”
Meanwhile Cool FM Sportscaster, Buchi who also confirmed the incident, claimed that there was no medical team at the stadium where the football match was played in.
According to Buchi, the late Nasarawa United player was rushed to the hospital in a press crew vehicle.
