Reacting to criticisms, Mompha stated that he does not understand why people were getting triggered over his feature.

Motunrayo Afolayan, a student in the department of International Relations, Obafemi Awolowo University, has recounted how one of her lecturers, Olabisi Olaleye, allegedly sexually harassed her after failing her in a Diplomacy course with code IRS 305.
In an interview with Vanguard, Motunrayo who recently made news after she disclosed she had an audio recording from one of the many times Olaleye allegedly pestered her for sex in return for good grades, said the lecturer, in the presence of a male student, molested her in his office when she went to seek adjustment to the time of an exam which clashed with another 400-level examination she was meant to take.
According to her, Olabisi claimed that he knew that she would come back to beg him and having refused to visit him at home, she knew she would fail the course again.
Narrating her ordeal, she said
“Our class representative told us that the lecturer said we should come and check our results in his office, which actually is not normal because we have a portal where we check results. Like everyone, I went there to check and he told me I scored 38 out of 100 and that I should leave his office. I left but the class representative said the lecturer wanted to rectify any hitches for those who had problems before it is posted on the portal. So I went back to him yet, he insisted I leave his office.
I had to register the course again but could not attend the class because it clashed with another course. I then went to him to seek his permission to excuse me from the class. But when I heard through other students that he was threatening those who were not attending the class that they would fail the course, I went back to his office again. And that was when he started saying I should come to his house to cook for him, spend the weekend with him. He said if I can agree to have sex with him, I may not even write the sex with him that I will pass. I refused the offer.
After a while, the examination time table was released, I discovered that the paper clashed with another 400-level course, and when I got to the department to lodge complain I discovered he was the exam coordinator and I had no choice than to meet him again. When I met him, he just laughed and said he knew I would come back. I found out that he wouldn’t force you because he knows you don’t have a choice.
So, he started saying since I refused to heed his advances, I would have to fail the course again. I pleaded with him to adjust the time table, he said he wants us all to fail again. All of a sudden, he moved close to me and started pulling my clothes, harassing me and forcing me to hug him. There was a guy in his office at that time and something just struck me to record him.
I told him to let me go since he said he would not adjust the time table. He tried to kiss me, I pulled away and immediately left his office. I later went to the HOD and the time was adjusted. I wrote the exam and rushed to the other paper where we were given extra time.” she said
Motunrayo says despite reporting the issue to the management, her result has not been released, adding that some other female students were emboldened by her action to disclose their experience with him.
“I didn’t know he was doing that to other girls until I told someone who linked me up with the management before other girls started complaining. ”Some other girls were not bold enough to come out so we created an anonymous WhatsApp group where every girl dropped complaints.”
The distraught female student alleged that the accused lecturer was divorced by his wife due to his promiscuous acts with female students.
“He has a wife but I heard she divorced him because of his randy nature, but then in class he used to tell us his wife is abroad. He even told me that if I come for a visit, I won’t meet anyone because his wife is abroad. As at now I have not seen my result online but I heard it was given to another lecturer. I felt bad to have failed the course because I have never failed a course before. I am not the best student but I am also not very bad. That is the only course I have ever failed,” Motunrayo said

A Nigerian mother who lost her three children in an accident which occurred on New Year Day in Canada, made a solemn vow to them as she buried them.
Uche Osagie, who fled Nigeria 8 years ago with her kids, was travelling back from Toronto to Sudbury on January 1, 2020, when the crash happened on Highway 17 near Lively. Her three children, Destiny, Flourish and Britney all died as a result.
During their funeral, the mother apologized to her late kids “for everything” and promised to win souls for Christ all over the world in memory of the kids.
A man simply identified as Ifeanyi, has died after he was allegedly stabbed to death during a fight he went to settle at a beer parlour in Alausa, Lagos state on Thursday January 23rd.
According to LIB, a young man went into a beer parlour in the area to cool off in the evening. However, his attempt to smoke a substance locally known as ”Jedi” was turned down by the beer parlour owner. This caused an argument between both men which soon degenerated into a fight.
Ifeanyi who resides in the neighborhood was said to have come out to seperate the fighting men. The one who wanted to smoke the substance reportedly left the beer parlour and this allegedly angered the owner of the beer parlour who felt Ifeanyi’s intervention caused the man to speak to him rudely in his own office.

President Buhari has returned to Nigeria from the U.K after he participated in the #UKAfricaInvestmentSummit in London.
During the trip, the president met with British Prime Minister, Boris Johnson and brought him up to speed with developments in Nigeria.
The three-day summit started on Monday, January 20 and ended today, January 23.
He was received at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport by his Chief of Staff, the FCT Minister, the Inspector General of Police, the Director-General of the Department of State Services, as well as other government officials.

U.S President, Donald Trump and his team have unveiled a new rule Thursday intended to curtail what the administration calls “birth tourism.”
It would give the government more power to deny certain visas to women if officials have “reason to believe” they intend to travel to the U.S. for the primary purpose of giving birth to a child in the U.S., thereby obtaining U.S. citizenship for the child.
The State Department “does not believe that visiting the United States for the primary purpose of obtaining U.S. citizenship for a child, by giving birth in the United States — an activity commonly referred to as ‘birth tourism’ — is a legitimate activity for pleasure or of a recreational nature,” according to the new rule, which goes into effect Friday.
The visas covered by the new rule are issued to those seeking to visit for pleasure, medical treatment or to see friends and family.
The White House announced Thursday that the State Department “will no longer issue temporary visitor (B-1/B-2) visas to aliens seeking to enter the United States for ‘birth tourism.'”

Veteran Nollywood Actor, Pete Edochie has criticized the act of getting on one knee to propose marriage. The actor said the western tradition is wrong and it is not a tradition accepted in Igbo culture.
The actor explained that kneeling down in front of a lady in Igbo tradition means handing over the authority to her. He said it means she would become the head of the family.
Edochie said marriage in the Igbo tradition is when a lady gives her husband-to-be wine while kneeling down. He said this tradition signifies that the man has been accepted by the lady as her husband.
Edochie stated that it is the lady that kneels before the husband, not vice versa.
He said he did not kneel to propose to his wife and he has been married for 50 years. He added that no one has ever settled disputes for them.
Earlier this week, the sad story of how Billionaire businessman, late Ignatius Odunukwe was gruesomely murdered, made the news rounds and the killers who have already been arrested have given details on why they did it!
According to reports, when Odunukwe opened a real estate discussion with Daniel Ibeaji late in 2019, the intention was to make it a profitable venture for both parties.
Little did Mr. Odunukwe know that the deal would have led to his death.
With the deal put at several millions of naira, both parties agreed to meet at a designated hotel in Lagos where all the paperwork were to be finalised.
Mr Odunukwe never made it back thus prompting his family to report his disappearance to the police.
The police immediately sprang into action and after three weeks of investigations, a shocking revelation was made.
A squad of killers was arrested by the zonal police and they confessed to murdering the businessman.
The four-man gang which includes Daniel Ibeaji, 42, Solomon Cletus, 30, Arinze Igwe, 26, and Israel Obigaremu, 35, also led security operatives to the location where they dumped the billionaire’s body.
Daniel Ibeaji the kingpin of the four-man gang that killed Mr Ignatius Odunukwe said on Tuesday that the lust for money led him to commit the murder.
“I think I am a monster, I feel I am a monster,” Ibeaji said while confessing to the crime.
While speaking to newsmen during the parade of suspects at the Zone 2 Command, Onikan, in Lagos, Ibeaji, who claimed to be a medical doctor said, “Unnecessary lust for money and my greed for immaterial things clouded my judgement and made me commit the crime.
Revealing how he lured Odunukwe to his death, Ibeaji said that in 2019, he saw an advert for the sale of a property at Katampe, Abuja.
He added that he approached the security who linked him up with the deceased through his cell phone number.
“I told him I was interested in the property and I think he (the deceased) had a function in Abuja at that time so we were able to meet once in the city.
“We later met again at Atican Beach Resort, Ajah in Lagos State, on Dec. 1, 2019, where we discussed after which I murdered him with the help of two of my gang members,” Ibeaji said.
Ibeaji said that he met Cletus when he was remanded at Kuje Prison, Abuja and discussed the dealings with him which he promised to help out with.
“I lured Odunukwe into my hotel room through N900million business deal I was pretending to go along with.
“With the help of Igwe and Cletus, I was able to distract him and hit him on the head using the butt of an axe.
“After then, I injected him twice with shots from a lethal injection. His body was later cut into pieces and dumped somewhere at Ogombo Forest, in Ajah,” he said.
Cletus whom he met at the prison said that he was lured into the act with the promise of N2 million loan to be given to him if he would participate in the evil plan.
Ibeaji said that Igwe, who was a staff member of the resort was the one responsible for navigating the culprits’ successful exit from the hotel because of his knowledge of its layout.
