Some members of the proscribed Islamic Movement of Nigeria, better known as Shi’ites, took to the streets of Abuja earlier today to protest the recent killing of Iranian military commander, General Qasem Soleimani, by a United States airstrike on the 3rd of January this year.
The protesting members of the Islamic group seized the opportunity to also demand the release of their leader, Sheikh Ibraheem El-Zakzaky and his wife, Zeenat who currently are in detention.
Chanting hate songs and slogans like “Death To America.”, the protesting Shi’ites also set ablaze a US flag which impeached President, Donald Trump’s face on it.

A Facebook user identified as, Fanta Boy Ekwem from Umuchu, from Anambra state shared on a Facebook Group on Monday, how his younger sister ‘insulted him’ and even ‘fought back’ after he demanded to know why she did not wash his clothes as he instructed.
Fanta Boy argues that his sister is not fully married, as the fiance only came for introduction and paid her bride price. The Facebook user stated that she still lives in their family house and will remain there until her fiance concludes the final traditional rights on Easter day.

This morning I woke up around 6AM to park my things so I can start going back to Lagos, I called her to come and give me the clothes she washed for me, she didn’t even talk to me. I said okay let me go to the back yard to check if she sprayed it there. I met my cloths on the same spot I left it for her to wash yesterday.
I asked her why didn’t she wash my cloths for me, she didn’t talk to me again, I told her to leave whatever she is doing this morning to wash my cloths for me or else I will deal with her. Immediately I said that she started running her mouth. Founder of the Synagogue Church of All Nations, , says Vice President Yemi Osinbajo will come under ‘much more pressure’ in the New Year.
The cleric spoke on 2020 prophecies at his church on Sunday.
In the past year, Prof. Osinbajo was accused of getting funds from the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS) and laundering it on the pretext of electioneering. He denied it vigorously.

He also disclosed that First Fruit Sacrifice is to give all the salary/income one earned in the first month of a new year.
Leke insisted that payment of each of the offerings is optional and all depends on one’s relationship with God.

Nigerian singer, Orezi has demanded 100 million naira from ride-hailing app, Bolt, formerly known as Taxify after a road accident that damaged his Jaw a month ago.
According to the singer, on the morning of December 6, 2019 he was rushing to meet up with a flight to Delta State for a performance, so he took Bolt at about 5:30am in the morning and all of a sudden he woke up to a crash on Third Mainland bridge.
The singer, through his lawyers ‘Abimbola Fakeye Chambers’ has now written a letter of demand to Bolt, requesting a sum of One Hundred Million naira as damages.

The body of Favour Daley-Oladele, a final-year LASU student, who was allegedly murdered for money rituals by her boyfriend, Adeeko Owolabi, at a church in Ikoyi-Ile in Osun State, on December 8, will be buried in Lagos on Tuesday January 7th.
Her family took the decision to give her a befitting burial after her body was exhumed by the police for further investigations over the weekend.

After killing her, they cut vital organs from her body which was used to prepare concoctions that Owolabi and his mother, Ruth, allegedly drank. They have all been arrested by the police and would be arraigned in court soon.
Operatives of the Rapid Response Squad (RRS) of the Lagos State Police Command, have rearrested a suspect previously arrested for pickpocketing and stealing in 2017.
27-year-old Tunde Ajeigbe who embarked on a robbery mission with his accomplices Ekene and Bolenbe, was arrested after he jumped off a bike to snatch an android phone from a commercial bus passenger at 7UP area of the state.
The robbers were given a hot chase by residents of the community who also alerted the RRS operatives underneath Otedola bridge. Tunde was apprehended while two of his accomplices who abandoned their motorcycle escaped after also being given a hot chase by the police officers.
Confessing to the crime, the suspect recalled how he was arrested for a similar crime in 2017 by the police. He said in his confessional statement;
“I was arrested around Ojota after I snatched a lady’s phone and got caught by the police.
“I was remanded in the prison since then and was released on 19th of November 2019 but couldn’t go back to my wife and child. I went back to the house I rented before going to prison but couldn’t find my properties and my family again so I made for the street again.
“I went back to Oshodi under bridge to go join my friends again who gave me clothes to wear and bought me food before we went back into our usual job.
“Although, after spending some days in Mushin, some of my area brothers who knew I just came from prison helped me secure a motorcycle on hire purchase but that wasn’t enough for me as I wanted to make quick money to go see my mother in the village after leaving home for three years without seeing her.
“My aged mother would be worried after I left home without returning and no one knew my whereabouts as my wife never informed my family that I have been arrested and remanded in the prison. I, therefore, sought to steal again to raise some money but unfortunately I was caught.”
Lagos Commissioner of Police, Hakeem Odumosu who disclosed that the police has intensified its effort to arrest other members of the gang who escaped with the phone, ordered a transfer of the case to the Special Anti Robbery Squad for further investigations.
A case of brutal domestic violence has been reported by a facebook user and it is quite saddening.
According to the post, the little boy was brutalized by his uncle with a twisted cable wire and the cause of the sad scene was not known but it was revealed that the wife of the uncle was in support of the violent act and urged her husband to beat his nephew to death.

A Nigerian lady has taken to her social media page to report her boyfriend’s ungrateful attitude towards a gift which she presented to him.
According to the lady, she bought a wristwatch worth N5,000 for her lover, and gave it to him on his birthday.
Days later, she found the watch dumped in her room with a text message from her boyfriend, instructing her to quit sending him gifts if she only buys fake stuff.
He also tagged the wristwatch an insult to his personality and blasted her on the phone for buying it for him.
The lady revealed how she got the watch with her hard earned money and wished she never got the watch for him in the first place.
