Folks have been dragging Toke Makinwa since her controversial statement over Cardi B.

Toke Makinwa had taken to her Instagram stories on Sunday, December 8, 2019, to react to Cardi B’s visit to Nigeria and how she has been received.

“These are the issues. Nigerians Cardi B is so real, I stan. Your own celebs living their lives like her. Such a disgrace! Morally corrupt! Bad role model! So plastic! so crass! So unintelligent! So razz! So loud!” she wrote.

Yomi Black who appeared to be irritated by Toke Makinwa’s comments on Cardi B then called her ou.

The comedian and actor took to his Instagram page on Sunday, December 8, 2019, where he called out Toke Makinwa. According to him, Cardi B has never denied being a former stripper but he dared Toke to reveal the source of her unexplainable wealth.

“You see why people love someone like Cardi B? She owns her shit, just like the Kardashians. You get what you expect. She hasn’t denied being a stripper or enjoying showing her body. She doesn’t go around forming motivational speaker and quoting Bible passages on social media like some Saint. Dear Toke, I dare you to openly show how you can afford your lifestyle.

“And don’t come with shit like you’re an actress or OAP because we all know how much both earn. Also, don’t spew shit about endorsement deals because we are in marketing communications and know how much these deals are worth. This has got to be the most hypocritical post of 2019,” he wrote.

In response, Toke Makinwa leaked a DM where Yomi Black professed his love for her.

She shared the DM, writing; “Excuse me while I drop my crown for 5 minutes. Inside life…… this life is a pot of beans. Now this is a public service announcement, if I have ever supported you with my time, platform, money, and more pls don’t ever come for me. You look stupid when you try.”

“Some of you will be all up in the DM looking for favors yet want to sound Intelligent in these SM streets. Should we really tell Nigerians how you went from licking my ass to dragging me online? Carbi B drags Ghanaian celebrities over the “Meet and Greet” controversy (Video)

American rapper, Cardi B had an Instagram live video where she expressed her fury over the way she is currently being attacked on social media.

Cardi was invited for a meet and greet session with some GH celebrities at a fixed time but she failed to turn up which got many Ghanain celebrities angry.

Cardi B has now reacted to the meet and greet brouhaha and she had some interesting things to say.

Cardi looked visibly upset that they had to take it to social media and she stated that she doesn’t remember telling anyone to come for any meet and greet or having lunch with “any so-called celebrities” from Ghana.

There are also ‘unconfirmed’ rumours that Cardi B might never step foot in Ghana again.

He was a retired school principal before he died.

The actress who stunned at the grand premiere of her first major directorial debut movie, Your Excellency, last night shared the sad news on her Instagram pgae moments ago.

Sharing a photo of her dad, she wished she could turn back the hands of time, suggesting he had been ill for some time.

Senator Orji Uzor Kalu will receive full salaries, allowances in prison – Senate

The Nigerian senate has said that its convicted  Chief Whip former Governor of Abia State, Orji Uzor Kalu will received his full salaries and allowances in prison until the Supreme Court backs the judgement issued by the Federal High Court days ago.

Nigerian Senate’s spokesperson, Godiya Akwashiki told Premium Times that though the Senator representing Abia North won’t be performing any legislative function from prison, he is still a sitting senator.

In his words ;

“He is still a senator. This is the first court. The matter is going to Supreme Court so, he still has the opportunity to appeal up to the Supreme Court level.

“Of course they will pay him. Because he is a sitting senator just like I said…if you file for appeal, you are still serving and so they will pay you.

“All his entitlements will be paid. There is no cause for alarm. In fact, even if Court of Appeal says they have upheld the judgement of the lower court, he still has the right to go to Supreme Court. So once the Supreme Court says, yes, the judgement is okay, then that’s the final.”

Nollywood Actor, Yomi Black, has lambasted Media Personality, Toke Makinwa over her post that tagged Nigerians as Hypocrites.

Recall, Toke was angry at the fact that Nigerians were complimenting Cardi’s activities on he visit to the country – but the same Nigerians always criticize the own local celebrities when they do same.

Yomi Black has now come out to slam Toke, saying the reason people love Cardi B is because she’s real to a fault and she does not deny her past.

Cardi B concert in Ghana: Stranded fans angry, blast organizers over ‘poorly organized’ show

Livespot X Festival which was expected to be a ‘turn up event’ rather ended on a bad note as fans who had paid for tickets to witness the performance of American artiste, Cardi B were left stranded at the Accra Sports Stadium.

The much anticipated Cardi B in Ghana concert ‘ended in tears’ as music enthusiasts present at the show had to gather their last respect by boycotting the event due to the failure of organizers to address the crowd after Cardi B’s performance.

“I am disappointed, why should I pay GHC50? Just take a look at the grounds, I can’t tell if the show has ended, they haven’t said a word. I paid GHC50, I could have used the money to buy food tomorrow”

The quarter-filled stadium was left to nothing at about 3:40AM when music lovers who had had enough of the silence and rejection from the organizers of the Livespot X Festival angrily left the venue. The words on their lips were, “this can not happen in Nigeria”

The “Bodak Yellow” rapper’s first stop in Africa was in Nigeria. Contrary to what took place in Ghana, her Livespot X Festival in Lagos, Nigeria was well organized and described as a success by Nigerians.

Technical challenges together with poor lighting crippled the event at the Accra Sports Stadium. When the main artiste of the event, Cardi B took to stage, she explained to the crowd that her delay was as a result of technical challenges.

The Media and entertainment bloggers who were present to capture the music performances of Shatta Wale, Sarkodie, Joey B among other surprise artistes were left with no option than to park their equipment after witnessing the crowd disperse without a word from organizers. Ghanaian artistes who performed on the night included Medikal, Kofi Mole, Becca, Eno Barony and Miss Forson.

Ghana’s song bird, Becca was the last artiste to perform on stage, the organizers of the show kept high the hopes of Shatta Wale and Sarkodie fans hammering the presence of these artistes backstage.

Nigerian singer, Damini Ogulu aka Burna Boy has confidently declared he’d bring back the much respected Grammy Award to Nigeria.

Burna’s album African Giant, was nominated in the World Best Music Album, alongside fellow African legendary singer, Angelique Kidjo.

Well, the weeks are drawing nearer for the international award ceremony which is set to hold in January, 2020, and Burna Boy has allayed the fears of his well-wishers, who are fervently hoping that he would become the first Nigerian to move past the nomination level, and actually bring the award home.

During a recent performance at international rapper, Cardi B’s concert, in Lagos, Nigeria, Burna Boy pledged he would bring the award home and after that there would be a cause for celebration.

Dancehall artiste Shatta Wale has poked fun at popular Ghanaians who thronged Kempinski Hotel, Sunday, to meet Cardi B for an interactive session.

A tall list of Ghanaian celebrities and media personnel including Hajia4Real, Afia Schwarzenegger, Moesha Boduong, Efia Odo, Wendy Shay, Nikki Samonas and Ameyaw Debrah received invitations from organizers of the event ahead of Cardi B’s musical performance at the Accra Sports Stadium.

Clad in the best of dresses in anticipation, they were made to wait for six hours after which they were told Cardi B would be at the function in two hours.

Hajia4Real, a very good friend of Shatta Wale registering her displeasure stated that she felt embarrassed having waited for hours.

Reacting to the development, Shatta Wale in a video clip said: “Ghana artistes, stop dey do that thing. You like dey do ahushieshe too much. What’s up? Don’t go day there, you people dress go sit there like you dey go church. Cardi B be stripper, she be street girl, she understands street.”

Cardi B to prove to Ghanaians that she didn’t intentionally snub them, went on Instagram Live while in the toilet, to show that she has been purging.

Recall, a list of Ghanaian celebrities turned up at Kempinski hotel where the meet and greet with Cardi B was supposed to hold, but the rapper didn’t show up.

Many Ghanaians, including a list of celebrities took to social media to call her out.

She then explained that something she ate has been purging her. Her reason for not showing up.

To further prove that she’s been to and fro the toilet, she went on Instagram Live to put to shame those Ghanaians that tagged her a liar.

Students attack teacher after getting high in Delta state

According to Punch Metro, some pupils of the Zappa Secondary School in Asaba, the Delta State capital, have launched an attack on a male teacher after allegedly taking hard drugs.

It was gathered that the pupils, who completed their first term examination on Friday, attacked the teacher while he was on his way home.

The teacher, according to an eyewitness, was rushed to the Federal Medical Centre, Asaba, for treatment as he suffered a broken forehead.

It was learnt that cops from the ‘A’ Division Police Station were immediately alerted and they arrested some pupils on the school premises.

Efforts to reach the Police Public Relations Officer in the state, Onome Onovwakpoyeya, were not successful as several calls put across to her mobile phone were not answered.

An activist, Mr Victor Ojei, who rushed to the scene of the incident, said hard drugs had caused a lot of damage to some secondary pupils in the state.

He stated, “The teacher was attacked and rushed to the FMC for treatment. Hard drugs are now being consumed by secondary school pupils in Delta State.

“These kids now take all forms of hard drugs and get intoxicated and start fighting their teachers. They broke his forehead.”

Vice-Chancellor of Babcock University, Ilishan-Remo, Prof. Ademola Tayo, has said the institution expelled the female student in the sex video that went viral to protect what the institution stands for.

However, he said the institution was still in contact with the girl’s family and may take her back if she was repentant.

Last month a video surfaced of two students making out in what was later said to be a hospital ward. The boy was said to have been expelled before the incident while the girl was expelled as a result of the video.

Speaking during a luncheon with journalists at the Babcock Guest House on Sunday the VC said:

“We had to take that decision in order to protect this institution and to protect its alumni. Because anywhere they go they say the University where they are all prostitutes. They said the girls are always swallowing …and all kinds of ridicule. If we keep mute, in the public opinion they would think that anything goes in the institution. We had to make a statement to show discipline.

“But I need to tell you that I signed it off with tears in my eyes as a responsible father. But we are not leaving this young lady to her doom. The pastor called me last week and I prayed with the family. The father called me and said pray with your daughter. I said she is still my daughter. Sometimes discipline is therapeutic. It is when you go that you realise that this is not right what I have done and then you go back to yourself.

“I look forward to a time when this young girl would graduate and be celebrated. It may not be here; I don’t know where but we are not throwing the baby out with the bath water.”

Tayo described the act by the girl giving the boy a blow job as abnormal.

It is not normal for a young woman to take the manhood of the man and be swallowing. That is a very dirty thing which supposed not to be heard,” he said, adding that the institution had to apply discipline but with love.

The VC however said some stakeholders commended the university’s decision to expel the student, saying that they would have pulled their wards out of the University.

Tayo also described as mischievous a publication by an online publication that listed the institution as the third worst to attend in the country.

“I see that as a sponsored campaign to smear the institution. I know where it is coming from but we will not relent because we will do our best to offer holistic education to the children.

He said Babcock had achieved a lot with 36 fully accredited programmes and alumni who were making waves in various fields of endeavour, including the alumnus, Oladapo Oluwatoyin who made the overall best result in the 2019 bar exams, among others.

Yesterday, Ghanaian Celebrties called out Cardi B for keeping them waiting for over 7 hours, after a meet-and-greet was scheduled.

It was learnt that some Ghanaian celebrities turned up at Kempinski hotel where the meet and greet with Cardi B was supposed to hold, but the rapper didn’t show up.

Ghanaian media personality, Afia Schwarznegger who called out Cardi B wrote on Instagram;

“I will NOT wait 4 hrs for Jesus….I wont do that for @iamcsrdib The cheap so called Celebrities are still waiting for their fellow human being till 8:40pm. Whiles madam is on some coke n khebab.

Ghanaian singer, Wendy Shay wrote;

So u guys called us to come have a one on one lunch date with @iamcardib and she has been chewing khebab for 7 hours in her room without showing up What do u guys take Ghana celebrities for ?! Reacting to the call out posts, Cardi B apologized and further disclosed that she never knew they were waiting.

The rapper disclosed she has been having issues with her stomach for over a week, and asked Ghanaian celebrities angry with her to chill out as she came to Africa to turn up and not to hide from them.

Andy Ruiz has apologised to his many fans and loved ones after losing his highly anticipated rematch with Anthony Joshua in Saudi Arabia.

Recall that Ruiz shocked the world back in June, but was given a lesson in controlled boxing as AJ refused to get involved in a scrape on Saturday.

The Mexican has such fast hand, massive power and a solid chin, but was unable to get passed Joshua’s jab as the taller fighter kept him at bay during their rematch.

AJ stayed at arms length for the 12 rounds and picked off his punches, with the Mexican getting more frustrated as the seconds ticked by.

After the fight Ruiz called for a third fight in the ring, and later apologised to his fans for not training hard enough and not taking the bout seriously.

Ruiz said, in a social media post, ‘All my supporters, all my fans, all my loved ones, I’m sorry I let you down.

‘I know we didn’t get this victory but that was a learning experience. I know I should have trained harder, I know I should have taken it more serious but he won, no excuses.

Some Ghanaian Celebrities are unhappy with the way Cardi B treated them after she touched down their country.

Apparently, a list of some Ghanaian Celebrities and Media Personnel in Ghana, all received invitation from the organizers of the event ahead of Cardi’s musicial performance for a ‘meet and greet’ session with the American Rapper… But Cardi failed to show up, and had them all waiting for over six hours.

Vociferous Afia Schwarzenegger who was one of the showbiz personalities eager to meet Cardi B and exchange pleasantries took to social media to express her fury about the unpleasant development.

The comedienne labelled organisers of the event ‘idiots’ while mentioning that she will not wait any longer because she is not cheap.

“For a meet and greet, and then we will be sitting here and she is chewing khebab and the next is, Cardi B will be available at 8:30 PM. Idiots! Grammy Award winning rapper, Cardi B yesterday visited the Lions Village motherless babies home in Lagos.

Sharing a few pictures from her visit, the 27 year old mother in her post thanked the staff at the home for the care given to the kids saying, “Gotta thank the ladies and the gentlemen that nurtured these kids that need just a little bit of more love and protection and gear them up for a better place ,destiny and future.People like YALL MATTER !”

The social media sensation later performed at the Livespot X Festival alongside other critically acclaimed Nigerian artistes including Teni, Patoranking, Niniola, Reekado Banks among others as part of her two-city tour Africa to Lagos and Accra.

The Older brother of Davido, Adewale Adeleke, was today, joined by their billionaire father, Adedeji Adeleke, and other family members for his wedding introduction at his fiancee, Kani’s family house in Calabar, Cross River state today December 8th.

Adewale and his fiancee, Kani, got engaged in July and have kicked off their wedding preparations.

American Rapper, Juice Wrld, dies after suffering a seizure, aged 21.

Rapper, Jarad Anthony Higgins popularly known as Juice Wrld has died at the age of 21 after suffering a seizure, TMZ reports.

The American rapper, who has worked with the likes of Nicki Minaj and Travis Scott, is said to have suffered a seizure at Chicago’s Midway airport on Sunday morning shortly after arriving at the airport on a flight from California.

According to TMZ, police sources said the rapper had suffered the seizure while walking through the airport and was bleeding from the mouth when paramedics arrived.

Juice, was still conscious when he was taken to a hospital but was pronounced dead shortly after.

Nollywood actress, Funke Akindele-Bello syas despite her love for cooking, she doesn’t cook for the family in the morning.

The Nollywood icon made this known in a recent interview.

She said; “Inasmuch as I love cooking, I don’t often find time to cook. I still cooked last night but I don’t cook every morning because of my busy schedule. I cook every time I am free and have nothing on my plate.My special dishes are vegetable soups. I love cooking vegetable soup (efo riro) very well and I either eat it with eba or fufu. I also cook fresh fish stew and Ogbono soup. I can cook anything ranging from beans to Amala and I cook well” she asserted.

Also speaking on the best way to excel in the movie industry, the actress who is also known as Jenifa said you must be well talented, humble and focused.

“First, you have to be sure you have the talent. You have it in you. There’s something different in you. You can’t force talent or do something cause someone else is doing it. You can learn how to act for sure, but you must be willing to learn. Then stay focused. You must be ready to have patience and endurance. You have to work hard. Do not be distracted. You have to be well branded. Listen to correction. You have to grow organically. I did Screen Divas with Ebony Life some years ago, now I am directing a movie with same Ebony Life. Its called organic growth. Then, you have to be very respectful.”

Funke Akindele added her source of inspiration which is not regular, “I draw inspirations from things happening around me. I could get an idea and when I am in the bathroom taking a shower I develop it. Later on maybe during a massage, I could give the concept a deeper thought.”

DWM Singer, Mayorkun has taken to his social media page to reveal the reason he walks around with Police escorts… and it is a rather funny reason.

The “Up to something” singer expressed that he carries a lot of police escorts not because he is afraid of thieves but rather his fear of policemen.

Bishop David Oyedepo, Founder and General Overseer of Winners Chapel who preached at his church’s annual programme ‘Shiloh 2019’ days ago, told the story of how a Shiloh flyer on which his photo was present on, started speaking in tongues and saved some kidnap victims.

According to the cleric, the female kidnap victim was taken to a dungeon where other victims were kept by her abductors and in the midst of the pandemonium, a Shiloh flyer which had his photo began speaking in tongues after falling out of a bag the lady threw at the kidnappers who tried taking her baby.

He added that kidnappers became unconscious, after which the lady took their knife; cut loose her rope and that of other kidnap victims.

Uti Nwachukwu and Beverly Osu who reacted to the testimony which has sparked off a controversy, dropped sarcastic comments.

Daddy Freeze in his usual way, gave his reaction and stated that some tongues spoken in modern churches are mostly fake let alone the ones spoken by pictures. He added that tongues without interpretation is false according to the scriptures.
