Mrs Bola Adeeko, mother of Owolabi Adeeko who killed and ate the body parts of 22-year-old Favour Daley-Oladele, a final year Theatre Arts student of the Lagos State University, has shared her own side of the story.
According to the school decorator, she approached Pastor Segun Philip for prayers over the hardship she has been experiencing in her family. Mrs Adeeko disclosed that after a brief session with the White Garment Church Pastor, she was given a soap to bath with after which she was asked to return to the hotel room where food will be brought to her.
The suspect’s mother disclosed that she didn’t know that the soap she bathed with and the local delicacy she ate, were prepared with human body parts.
Mrs Adeeko said in the viral video that her son betrayed her trust even though they began the “journey” together.

A family in Ibadan, Oyo state has been thrown into mourning after three of their children were burnt to death in a fire outbreak that occured in the early hours of today January 3rd.
According to reports, the couple and their children reside in an apartment located at Ehin Grammar Area of Molete, Ibadan. On Thursday night, the wife who is popularly known as Iya Ara, had gone to work as she is said to be on night duty while the husband locked the children inside the house and went away with the key. Although the cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained, it spread so fast, causing the children to be trapped in the apartment.
The eldest, of the children, it was gathered was a secondary school student whose name was given as Glory while the two others were said to be in primary school.
The police arrived the scene of the incident this morning and have evacuated their cahrred bodies to the morgue.

There was pandemonium at a Lagos Hotel yesterday when the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, got stuck inside the elevator in the Hotel.
The monarch alongside his wife, Olori Prophetess Naomi and other members of his entourage had gone to see the Queen Moremi stage play. When they arrived the hotel lobby, they were made to use the lift to get to the hall where the play was to take place.

A 25-year-old pickpocket arrested by the Lagos State Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) has revealed that he sacrifices a cock every three days for the rings he uses in picking people’s pockets to be potent.
According to Francis Monday, the ring he got from an Islamic cleric helps him steal properties of his victims without them knowing. He also told newsmen that he can detect if someone is with money because the ring has been fortified to remove money from people’s pocket.
He said;
“An Alfa (an Islamic cleric) gave the rings to me. When we met at Alaba Rago market in early November, where I went to smoke Indian hemp, the Islamic cleric also came to smoke Indian hemp. While we were discussing, he told me that I looked like a street boy. He said rather than subjecting myself to so much suffering, that he could help me get rich, by giving me something that would better my life without stress.
“Initially I thought it was money ritual, surprisingly he brought out two rings and asked me to meet him at a secluded place. When we eventually met, he brought two cocks, alligator pepper and other ingredients. He then killed the cocks and poured the blood on the rings and mixed part of the blood with other ingredients. He said some incantations and poured the mixed concoction on the rings. As he was doing that, he kept mentioning my name on the rings.

On the whereabouts of the Islamic cleric that gave him the ring, Francis said he is yet to see the Islamic cleric who told him he will collect the money for the ring ritual after he returns from a trip to his hometown in Togo.

He also disclosed that he decided not to rent an apartment so he can’t be traced by the police. According to the arrested pickpocket, he has been squatting with a friend at Okokomaiko area of Lagos state.
Francis said;
“I did not want to rent an apartment because I didn’t want to give anyone room to suspect what I was into or how I got my money.”
The suspect who was arrested on December 19, 2019, said he was nabbed because his victim had fortified himself against such.
He said;
“On the fateful day, when I saw smoke coming out from a man’s pocket I thought it was another catch. The smoke was so much, indicating that he was with a huge amount of money.
“But by the time I attempted to have body contact with him, he suspected I was up to something. He challenged me and told me I was a child in the game. He raised the alarm, which attracted passers-by who descended on me and beat me to coma. It is only somebody with such an antidote charm that could resist my body contact.
“Unfortunately, the rings stopped working, because I have stopped carrying out the usual sacrifice.”
Lagos State Police Spokesperson, Elkana Bala who confirmed the arrest of the suspect said he would be charged to court after completion of investigation.

A Nigerian lady has been arrested by the police after defrauding an abroad returnee of N950k.
Sharing a video of the lady at the police station, Ex-beauty Queen Cassandra said her cousin who is a doctor, mistakenly transferred N950k to the lady who begged him for N95k.
It was gathered that after the lady received the money, she blocked the ‘I Just Got Back’ on Instagram, deleted all her photos and refused picking up his calls. She however got busted after Cassandra saw her drinking at the beach with some of her friends.
In an Instagram exchange with some of her followers, the ex-beauty Queen revealed that the lady moved the money to another account before her account got frozen. Upon being interrogated, the lady said she used the money she felt was sent as payment for sex she had with the doctor in paying her house rent.

An eight months pregnant woman reportedly died in Kaduna state today January 2, after she was allegedly bitten by a snake.
Her brother in-law, @Zun_Noorayne, shared the sad story on Twitter this evening.
According to him, the deceased had gone to the toilet in the early hours of today to urinate but unknown to her, the snake was inside the WC. The snake reportedly attacked her immediately she sat down to ease herself. The Twitter user said no hospital could help save her life.

Noble Igwe has responded after he received heat for a photo he shared to showcase his hometown to his followers.
Days ago, the media personality shared a photo of himself trudging through a shallow stream with a keg of water on his head in his hometown, Umuomaku, Anambra state.
He captioned the photo: “Son of the Soil. Went to Ubo to have my bath and fetch drinking water. Christmas in Umuomaku is incomplete without a trip to the stream. Proudly Igbo.”
However, social media users lambasted him for the photo. Some accused him of portraying Igbo land as a place where there are no boreholes and bathrooms, others said that he obviously has a bathroom and running water in his home in the village but wanted to show off to his followers
“This man really put empty keg on his head and snapped picture for social media….2020 will be a looooong year! Sigh,” one Twitter user wrote.

A Kenyan woman identified as Edna Mukwana has left many shocked, after she sold her husband for Ksh 1700 equivalent to N6,000 to buy clothes for her children.
According to Mukwana, she took the decision after she caught her husband who didn’t return home for over 7 days with another woman on their matrimonial bed.
She said;
