Rapper, Reminisce has opened up on how he initially thought he was cursed when his career in the music industry didn’t pick up.
He made the revelation while speaking at a recent youth empowerment forum, where he mentioned how his peers like Olamide, 9ice and others blew before him, despite starting in the same era.
He said,
“My dad had always insisted that one must have some form of formal education before one chose to do anything (else). After my OND in 2003 (16 years ago), I met ID Cabasa. And that was how my journey started as a musician. I also met 9ice, Lord of Ajasa, 2phat, and G-Dog (who ended up being Olamide), through ID Cabasa.
“I thought I was a bit unfortunate when I started (my career) because things didn’t really pick up for me. 9ice ‘blew up’ and my siblings would call me, telling me to go and get a job, saying my friend was already miles ahead of me. Things weren’t working out for me then. There was a struggle but I kept pushing until my time came in 2010/2011.
However, I ‘blew up’ into responsibilities. When I ‘blew up’, I already had my first daughter. When I started making money, my dad advised me to set some aside for the upkeep of my daughter and that taught me to be responsible financially.
At the end of the day, no matter what one makes, there is some sort of pressure in the entertainment industry. One has to look good but one has to make sure one wears these things only when one can afford them.”
Hollywood actor, Andrew Dunbar, best known for his work on Game of Thrones, has been found dead at his Belfast, Ireland home on Christmas Eve.
The 30-year-old Portrush native was renowned on the set of the hit HBO show where he worked for years as an extra. He was a body double for Theon Greyjoy, who is played by Alfie Allen in the series.
His acting career included appearances on the TV shows Line Of Duty and Derry Girls. He also worked as a Game of Thrones tour guide. Pamela Smyth, the head of crowd makeup at Game of Thrones, was quoted in reports that Dunbar was “always professional and mannerly, with a big broad beaming smile. A beautiful soul he will be missed by all the GOT family.”
A police spokesman said the ‘death is not being treated as suspicious’. A post-mortem has also taken place to establish the cause of death.
First Bank of Nigeria Limited has reacted to an attempted robbery at its Mpape, Abuja branch, a suburb of the capital city.
In a statement made available on shortly after the incident, the bank said the it has been brought under control and normalcy has been restored in the area after four of the suspects were arrested and one of them gunned down.
The statement further explained that no customer and staff were hurt.

Operatives of the Federal Capital Territory Police Command have foiled a bank robbery in Mpape, a few metres from Maitama, Abuja.
The police gunned down a suspect and arrested four others inside a branch of First Bank Plc.
According to details gathered, the robbers were trapped in the bank for about four hours, following the arrival of security operattives who surrounded the building.
Eyewitnesses, according to PUNCHng.com said when the robbers refused to surrender or come out of the bank, the police operatives stormed the hall, killing one of the gang members in the process.
The FCT Commissioner of Police, Bala Ciroma, confirmed the incident to Punch correspondent.
He stated, “It is a foiled bank robbery; We stopped the robbers from raiding the bank. Four men were arrested while a suspect was killed.
“Investigation has commenced to determine how they entered the bank and other things.”
A huge crowd thronged the scene as the news of the robbery spread, causing serious traffic gridlock on the narrow road that leads into the community which is located on a hill.

Latifatu had posted on the 17th of December, that Favour had gone missing for days and has been unreachable: “Please Good morning Sir, compliment of the season to you and your family. Sir I covet your fatherly prayer for my daughter in her final year at LASU, I have not heard from her since Monday, her phone has been off and not in school or her hostel and she is starting her final exam on Tuesday. Her name is Favour Sewani Oluwabuyikunmi Daley-Oladele.”
Now serving an update, it has been revealed that Favour was reportedly dismembered and was about to be used for an alleged rituals.

FAVOUR SEUN DALEY OLADELE Aged 22yrs, a 400 level theartre art student of LAGOS STATE UNIVERSITY(LASU) was gruesomely murdered on the 8th of December 2019 at Ikoyi Ile in Ikire,Osun state.
She came home to see her parents, attended church service on Sunday ,while with her parents that sunday, she received a call from one OWOLABI ADEEKO who was an ex Lagos State University student who asked her to meet with him at undisclosed location. Favour had told her parents she would be going to school as well as seeing a friend that afternoon this person happen to be OWOLABI ADEEKO whom she met about two months ago.
That same Sunday afternoon she spoke with her father and he wishes her the best of luck in her forth coming final examination. From then on, everything started happening in quick succession, her phone stopped going through, she did not returned calls neither did she call any of her parents to inform them of her arrival at school.
Unknown to the parents she had been murdered by OWOLABI ADEEKO an ex student of LASU in Collaboration with One prophet SEGUN PHILLIP who happened to be a serial money ritualist practising his satanic trade at Ikoyi Ile in Ikire, Osun state and One Mrs ADEEKO who also happened to be OWOLABI ADEEKO’S mother.
These three people and others gruesomely murdered Favour SEUN DALEY OLADELE. In his confessional statement, OWOLABI ADEEKO admitted inviting her to an undisclosed location before using One black Honda to take her to Fortress hotel at ikoyi ile ,later that evening OWOLABI ADEEKO and her mother, Mrs ADEEKO lured her to prophet SEGUN PHILLIP place, introduced later as an uncle, Favour was drugged while at the named hotel, Owolabi futher stated that by the time they got to prophet Segun PHILLIP’s place she was already tired, the three of them simply put favour under the tree close to an uncompleted well dug for that purpose, favours mutilated body was dumbed inside that well.
OWOLABI ADEEKO admitted futher that he used pestle to smashed FAVOUR’S head while prophet SEGUN PHILLIP admitted that he used sharp knife to cut favours throat.
Prophet Segun PHILLIP also admitted in his statement that he caught her open ,removed her heart and certain parts of Favours body to cook native stew for OWOLABI ADEEKO’S mother.
Mrs ADEEKO a collaborator in this evil scheme admitted eating the said native stew called(Aseje) so that her family misfortunes can be changed and so that she and her family can become rich. Again it’s important for us to appreciate the good work of the investigating officers but what is most troublesome is that the duo of OWOLABI ADEEKO and prophet SEGUN PHILLIP were boasting that they will soon be released by the police. Operatives of the Federal Capital Territory Police command has given an update to the Abuja Bank Robbery that had a suburb in chaos.
Apparently, there was a robbery attempt at a First Bank Plc Branch in Mpape, a suburb of Abuja.
ASP Mariam Yusuf who gave an update confirmed to Daily Trust Reporter that normalcy has been restored in the area.
It was revealed that four of the suspects who made the robbery attempt were arrested and one of them gunned down.
The thieves were trapped inside the bank for over four hours.
CP of the command in person of, Bala Ciroma, also confirmed that one of the suspect arrested was a staff of the bank, who apparently was the tipster. The staff was acting as an informant for the four others.
The CP also confirmed that it was a foiled robber attempt as nothing was lost or taken away from the bank.
A gang of armed thieves are currently trapped inside a new generation bank in Mpape area of Abuja, hours after attempting to rob the branch.
Men of the Police and Nigerian Army have currently barricaded the entrance, forcing the robbers to remain indoor since 10 am when they forced their way into the bank.
According to reports, one of the robbers who tried to escape was shot and arrested by the security officials, while the remaining thieves are still in the bank.

Lagos State Government on Friday re-opened the Club Quilox after securing the management’s commitment to comply with the state’s Environmental Laws, Regulations, guidelines, and standards.
The popular club owned by a member of the House of Representatives, Shina Abiola Peller, had organised a 36-hour non-stop event that led to traffic gridlock and noise pollution with its attendant effect on Victoria Island and its environs.
Following the discomfiture, the Club was sealed.
Meanwhile, the Club was reopened after a meeting held at the Lagos State Environmental Protection Agency (LASEPA) office where its management committed to carrying out its activities without obstructing the flow of traffic on Ozumba Mbadiwe and other adjoining streets.
The management of the night club promised to ensure that its clients’ cars are properly parked in designated areas.
The club had also demonstrated a firm commitment to ensuring that sound emanating from musical events hosted within its facility does not exceed the recommended limits set by the state.
The General Manager of LASEPA, Dr. Dolapo Fasawe, who led the operation, said “we are reopening the club for operation as it has fulfilled our conditions and complied with the extant law guiding its operations. The club was sanctioned and fined for environmental nuisances and we ensure total compliance before reopening.”
The LASEPA General Manager noted that the club closure would serve as a warning to other entertainment and event centres and prompt them to operate within the ambit of the law while carrying out their activities.
She urged entertainment and event centres to work with relevant agencies to put effective traffic management systems in place when hosting events and desist from generating noise.
Fasawe, however, vowed that the state government would not allow any business concern to constitute a nuisance to other users of the environment and would ensure strict compliance with the state’s environmental laws and regulations.

A lady whose wedding was scheduled to hold in Yola on December 31, was allegedly killed by suspected Boko Haram terrorists alongside her friends on Boxing Day.
Martha Bulus was reportedly travelling with her sister, Zainab and her friends said to be members of her bridal train when they were attacked by the insurgents at a village near Gwoza in Adamawa State.
It was learnt that all passengers of the ambushed vehicle were killed in the attack.
