Popular Pentecostal evangelist, Reinhard Bonnke who is principally known for his gospel missions throughout Africa is dead aged 79.
A post on his official Facebook page explained that he passed away peacefully and was surrounded by his family.
“It is with sorrow that the Bonnke Family would like to announce the passing of our beloved husband, father, and grandfather, Evangelist Reinhard Bonnke,” the statement read.
“He passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family, on December 7, 2019. For the past 60 years, he has preached the glorious Gospel of Jesus throughout the entire world.
“We want to thank you on behalf of him and our family, for your kind love and unwavering support, which enabled him to preach the matchless message of salvation to countless people.
Seun Kuti has reacted to Omoyele Sowore’s rearrest at the Federal High Court in Abuja which led to an uproar yesterday December 6.
According to the music star, Buhari’s biggest weapon is knowing that Nigerians will never stand up for those that stand up for them.
The son of Nigerian music legend Fela, recounted how same treatment was meted out to his father by Buhari when he was the military head of state.
Seun Kuti said his father who had blood all over him was dragged through the streets while everyone watched.
Seun Kuti alleged that Nigerian professionals are Buhari’s biggest accomplice as he pointed out that “Sowore is all of us without our shackles.”
He wrote:
“They know the Nigerian professionals are their biggest accomplice. They know you have never gone on strike because poor people have no food, because u have food. You have never downed tools because poor people can’t go to school because u can afford school fees.

It was the Eve of September I just got an admission letter from the almighty unilag. I was ecstatic! I mean Unilag is one the best Govt university we have in the country.
I took my time to browse through all the requirements for processing my admission. One actually stood out; get a reference from a 1)Lawyer: I don’t know any lawyer or 2)Clergy: what does that mean?! or A pastor: Na now you come? I mean I was a strong member in church that year, I don’t miss my weekly service, I wasn’t only a bench warmer on Sundays infact the assistant pastor had previously approached me according to him use “my beauty” for God.
He told me to join one department 1)choir:I’ve frog voice so pass 2)pray warrior:terrible at praying and lastly 3)usher:that’s manageable. I’d ask him if I was going to get paid, he said No I should “do it for the lord” I said okay and proceed to register for bible studies on Saturday, that’s the only process you will pass through before one can work in the church.
So I mean it’s a no brainer right? The pastor would def give me a reference letter, I was sister in the lord, so piece of cake!
So I decide to go meet my pastor in the lord for a reference letter. I worn a long skirt and a free top, pack my natural hair in a ponytail, I mean you have to look godly when visiting a man of God. I double check in the mirror to make sure I was decently dressed, picked my admission letter and headed for my pastor in the lord’s office…
I got to the office met with the receptionist. Excuse me ma please I want to see Pastor … (won’t mention names, sorry)
Okay hold on a sec, she replied nicely.
I sat down and admired the gorgeous interior of my pastor office, money good o, I said in my mind.
Hello you can go in now! the receptionist soft but sharp voice jolted my vain thoughts.

A Nigerian writer has taken to micro-blogging website, Twitter, to call out superstar singer, Davido over the way he treats his wife, Chioma.
The writer identified as Solomon Buchi, frowned at a trending video of Davido fondling Chioma’s breasts even as she was complaining that he should stop because it was painful.
Buchi said that move from Davido was very disrespectful towards her and it shows a power imbalance between the couple.

Recall Sometime ago, a fan begged Zlatan Ibile to help him with money to pay for his acceptance fee into school after years of trying to get the admission. He told this might be God telling him not to go to school.
Today, another fan decided to try his luck. He begged for money to pay his tuition fee in the University.

Nigerian Singer, Esegine Allen better known by his stage name, Orezi, yesterday, Friday December 6th, singer, was involved in a car crash on the popular Third Mainland bridge in Lagos.
According to the singer, he was rushing to meet up with a morning flight to Delta State for a performance so he took a cab at about 5:30am in the morning and all of a sudden he woke up to a crash on Third Mainland bridge.

According to Abass, depression was setting in, but he kept consoling himself that things would take another turn for the better for him.

Reality star, Khafi Kareem recently uploaded a video via YouTube which shows her unwrapping a surprise package from her bestfriend, Tacha.
Symply Tacha had sent gifts through GiG logistics to Khafi, who in turn, seemed pretty excited to receive the package.
The gifts include Symply Tacha’s custom made powerbank, ipod, strapless bra, facial mask, anklet, blue contact lens, waist trainer, lingerie, slippers and a black dress.

Dahiru Inusa, a 56-year-old father of 15 children has been arrested by operatives of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) for allegedly chaining and dragging his 15- year-old daughter through the streets in Lafia, Nasarawa State’s capital.
The man who was arrested at Bukan-Sidi area of Lafia on Wednesday December 4, said he was trying to tame his daughter who became wayward and refused going to school.
The NSCDC commandant in the state, Mr Muhammad Mahmoud-Fari said the suspect will be charged to court for attempted murder, child abuse and torture.
He said, “This is a case of a father chaining and dragging his biological daughter on the street in the name of instilling discipline in her. We all must join hands to fight this menace in our society.
“Just yesterday (Thursday), we had the case of a 75- year-old man who defiled a three-year-old child.”
Inusa admitted committing the offence but said it was a mistake. He alleged that his daughter was fond of absconding from school and associating with bad friends.
He said, “I was angered by the fact that some girls were influencing her negatively and it was the anger that pushed me into making the mistake of putting her in chains. I was only trying to make her take me to her friends and not to harm her. I am begging my daughter and the government to forgive me.”

An unidentified final year student at the University of Port Harcourt (Uniport) has penned down a word of appreciation to the people that contributed in the completion of her final year project.
In the project dedication, She gave credit to Naira Marley, and Burna Boy for being a source of focus and motivation through their songs.

A man identified as Ibrahim Aremu, popularly called Jenromi, has been arrested by the Ogun State Police Command for allegedly being in possession of about 300 wraps of suspected Indian hemp.
The command spokesperson, Abimbola Oyeyemi, made this known on Friday, December 6th saying the suspect was arrested following information received by the police at Enugada division ”about his activities as an alleged leader of a cult group terrorising Itun Seriki community, Totoro Abeokuta”.
He said information further revealed that the suspect is also a ‘big-time’ dealer in illicit drugs ”and that his cult group always uses his abode as their meeting point from where they plan how to carry out their notorious activities”.
“On receiving the information, the DPO Enugada division mobilised his men to the scene where the suspect was promptly arrested while some of his accomplices escaped. About 300 wraps of weeds suspected to be Indian hemp was (were) recovered from him,” he said.
The commissioner of police, Kenneth Ebrimson, has ordered the immediate transfer of the suspect to the state criminal investigation and intelligence department.
