According to the man, he had boarded a bike to take him to his bank. Unknown to him, his iPhone 11 fell. The bike rider identified as Simon noticed it and made sure to return it.

Over the weekend, Nollywood actress and comedienne, Etinosa Idemudia sparked an outrage online after she used the bible as her ashtray as she smoked.

She even went on to describe Provers 22:6 which reads “train up a child when he is young and when he is old he will not depart from it” as a scam, stated that no one should blame her mother as she is still departing even though she was trained and retrained.”

She took to social media to threaten to also use the Holy Quran as an ashtray.

Reacting to her controversial threat, Chief Imam of Ansar-Ud-Deen, Abdulrahman Ahmad condemned the actress’ actions, saying there are consequences for any of these actions.

The popular Islamic Scholar was quoted on Opera News as saying:

“It is a pity for us as a people and a country that we are where we are today. I don’t like to comment on issues like this because I think it is below the dignitary of religious people and those with conscience and goodwill to be commenting on issues like this. More or less, individuals are trying to acquire fame and we should not help them. Otherwise, this issue should not be discussed at all; it is bad news. It is a sad commentary. It questions our collective morality; why should we be discussing issues like this and celebrating it; popularizing a wayward individual.

Whether it is the Bible, the Quran or any other holy book; should not popularize or sensationalize it. Whether something happens to them-(the actor) or not.

“I condemn, without any reservation anyone who desecrates the Bible as much as I condemn anyone who attempts to desecrate the Quran. It isn’t something that we should be discussing. We should not even look at it from the point of view of- ‘if something is going to happen to her or not’. That someone dared to insult and violate the religious sensibility of others is condemnable. It is worse than hate speech because it could set the nation in tune reaction . It could be destabilizing. It is not part of anybody’s freedom to insult the sensibility either cultural or religion of others.

“We should not to give prominence to this waywardness. It is a collective insult on Nigerians as a deeply religious community. I condemn whoever desecrates the Bible and Quran. There are consequences for any of these actions. If the law enforcement agencies don’t act on unwarranted provocation; then they should also not act when the repercussions start to come. This is my opinion.

“Whatever threatens the peace and stability of Nigeria is against the law. Is it freedom? If they don’t stop this, when the chain reactions starts, they don’t have any moral right to do anything.”

He continued,“It has been ruled by the European court of human right that to insult a religious personality is not part of freedom speech. It would not be part of freedom to desecrate what other people hold sacred,” he added.

Lady disfigures her friend over N950

A lady is currently on the run after allegedly leaving indelible marks on the face of her friend, following a dispute over N950 in Umuahia, Abia State.

Giving an account of what happened, someone in the know, Eva, said: “On Friday, 28th November 2019, one miss Chikaodi Umeh — who is a friend to Onyinyechi Abaruo — went out drinking with their mutual friend, Nene.

Onyinyechi later went to join them, but as she was arriving, Chikaodi’s male friend who was hosting them, was about to leave and Chikaodi pleaded with him to give her some money to enable her buy more drinks for Onyinyechi who just came in. The guy then gave Chikaodi the sum of N2000 and left.

And Chikaodi went ahead to buy 5 bottles of beer which amounted to N1,050 and was left with N950 which she decided to keep. But that got Onyinyichi angry and questioned why Chikaodi would keep the money to herself. This resulted in a dispute and later a fight between them.

After the fight, Chikaodi left but forgot her body lotion on the table.

She later called their other friend, Nene — who invited Onyinyechi in the first place — to please help her bring the lotion to kano street, uzoakoli road, umuahia.

However, while waiting for Nene to arrive, Onyinyechi stormed the place in a tricycle and told her: “this your fine face, I will disfigure it for you.” Then she brought out a sharp object and attacked her, leaving in a pool of blood before fleeing in the tricycle.

First Lady, Aisha Buhari, has come under intense criticism on social media for voicing her support for the social media bill which seeks to arrest and fine Nigerians who make annoying comments on social media.

Aisha had at the Nigerian Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs General Assembly and National Executive Council in Abuja said China regulated the social media of its over one billion citizens and Nigeria should be able to control its own population which is about 200 million.

She said, “On this issue of social media, you cannot just sit in the comfort of your house and tweet that the Vice President has resigned. It is a serious issue. If China can control over 1.3 billion people on social media, I see no reason why Nigeria cannot attempt controlling only 180 million people.”

However, Mrs. Buhari, who had in the past been commended by a large section of Nigerians for standing on the side of the people, came under criticism for her view. On Saturday morning, the President’s wife was trending at number one on Twitter.

Some Nigerians recalled how they defended Aisha on social media when the President relegated her and said she belonged to the kitchen and the other room.

They also recalled how they defended her when Mamman Daura’s family were giving her a hard time at the Presidential Villa.

They argued that since China had become the democratic model for Nigeria, then Nigeria must also adopt China’s method of fighting corruption which involves sentencing corrupt public office holders to death.

Georgina Onuoha marks 2 years anniversary of surviving the accident that nearly ended her life

Actress, Georgina Onuoha is marking the second year anniversary of surviving an accident that nearly ended her life.

The former Nollywood actress was in a car with her friend on December, 2, 2017, when the car somersaulted multiple times.

Thankfully, they both survived, though Georgina needed blood transfusion afterwards.

Marking the anniversary on Instagram, she wrote:

Every 2nd of December is a reminder that God gave me a second chance to life to be a better version of me.
Two years ago in Denmark , I saw my life flash right in front of me as death came calling but God wasn’t done with me here on earth.
We came out of this wreck without a scratch on our bodies even though this car flipped many times on that beautiful Saturday morning with my soul sister Dora @dido_7.
It can only be God’s grace and mercy that kept us alive.
It will be a day I will forever remember as my rebirth and why my heart will always be filled with gratitude for his mercies.
Lord I am humbled and grateful for another year or day I get to live and remember your grace on this faithful day. May your name for ever be on my lips till the day I take my last breath.
Thank you Lord.

Policemen rescued after being involved in an accident in Ebonyi

Some policemen were rescued by Good Samaritans after being involved in an accident along Nkwagu Army barracks road in Ebonyi state.

None of the security operatives died in the accident which occurred in the early hours of December 1, even though they sustained various degrees of injuries.

Facebook user, Jaykizz Adeleke who shared photos from the scene of the accident wrote “Look at what too much over speeding caused… Along Nkwagu Army barracks road Ebonyi state… This morning by 8:55 am
This police officials wanted to join their ancestors but God delivered them from death…today being first December 2019”

George Lazenby, the Australian actor who was the youngest to play James Bond, has boasted about sleeping with more a thousand women during his prime.

Speaking to Herald Sun, the octogenarian stated that: ‘I would go through six girls a week in London.’

‘It was the time of the pill, mini-skirts, the girls were crazy. You had to run and hide after a while.’

He continued: ‘There wasn’t anything better to do. I don’t know, I never counted but it went on from 1964 until 1980 when AIDS came in. I didn’t want to die for it.’

According to him, these tips have helped him remain faithful to his wife, Perri.

How do you stay faithful? I get asked this question a lot lately and despite the obvious reason of falling in love with the most incredible woman whom I get to call wife @itspsd . I figure I’d write my answer here for what it’s worth.

Well, my answer is strength no weakness. A man with no self discipline will fall weak and lead astray, having the discipline and respect for yourself and significant other becomes a habit, and with time habit becomes second nature.

I would also say that sacrifice is a vital part of what has helped me. The key is you have to be able to sacrifice who you are, (ex. old habits) for who you’ll become, don’t be afraid of taking the road less traveled in the process. Hint: Find yourself spiritually. ??
