In a statement issued by Mrs. Adenike Adeyemi, Director of Press and Public Relations of the National Youth Service Corps on behalf of the Director-General of the NYSC Brig Gen. Shuaibu Ibrahim on Friday November 8, corps members were told to be security-conscious and look for escape routes in case of emergency.

42-year-old Ayuba John, has been arrested by men of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) in Nasarawa state for attempting to sell his three-year-old son for N5 million.
Parading him before newsmen, Commandant of NSCDC in the state, Mahmud Fari , said Ayuba, who is from Obi Local Government area of Nasararwa state, is not a first time offender as he has been arrested in the past for selling his daughter to someone in Owerri. According to Fari, Ayuba sold his children out for ritual purposes.
“I was moved to tears when I learnt that a biological father took his son to the market to sell him at the sum of N5million. When he was asked why he want to sell his son, he said he wants to increase his financial status. We also learnt that this is not his first child to be sold out. He sold his daughter earlier on to somebody in Owerri, and he is selling them out for rituals,” Fari said
When interrogated, Ayuba who is married to four wives with 23 children, said he resorted to selling off his children because he needed money to settle some personal issues.

Businesswoman Nwanneka Nkumah has cried out after she was allegedly being sexually assaulted, brutalized by policemen in Lagos.

I don’t even know what this ones are called, stopped the car I was in and asked us to open the car for a search which we did and he searched everywhere , came to where I was sitting and tried to forcefully open the middle compartment’.

I quickly put the phone under my skirt and the police put his hands right under my skirt and took the phone. I tried to reach out to my other phone, he held me sooo tight and broke 1 of my nails, I started bleeding, I got down from the car and held his shirt, then 2 more came out , started dragging me everywhere.

A Businessman has fulfilled a promise he made to his wife 10 years ago when she decided to live the rest of her life with him despite the ridicule she faced.
The Man said his wife was ridiculed for getting pregnant for him, an ‘ordinary okirika seller’. They had to have a shotgun wedding that included him borrowing a suit and a car.
After the court wedding, his new wife wasn’t impressed with her wedding picture because she was heavily pregnant. But the man said he promised he would recreate her wedding picture for her, but in a more beautiful environment.
