The Archbishop of Kampala, Cyprian Kizito Lwanga, has suggested that the government of Uganda deduct tithe from workers’ salaries, a report by Citizen Kenya has reported.
Speaking during a mass, the Catholic Archbishop said many Christians don’t tithe and this affects church projects.
“Whenever we ask for tithe, everyone gives only what they have at that time. But the Bible says a tenth of whatever you earn belongs to the church,” said Archbishop Lwanga.
“Give me your support as I front this proposal because it is good for us. Aren’t you tired of putting money in the baskets all the time?”
Archbishop Lwanga said he wanted Uganda to go the German route, where Germans, who are registered as Catholics, Protestants or Jews have a church tax (Kirchensteuer) of 8-9 per cent deducted from their annual income.
“I was told Germans made agreements with their government to deduct monthly tithe from their salaries and forward it to the church and this money they use to build and renovate their churches,” he added.
Current Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Ibrahim Magu has disclosed that the mothers of suspected internet fraudsters now have an association.
Ibrahim Magu, who disclosed this at EFCC stakeholders conference on crusade against cybercrime fraudsters in Lagos, said such mothers always justify the activities of their children by stating that they are fending for their families abandoned by deadbeat and irresponsible fathers. He added that EFCC will work towards rehabilitating arrested young suspects.
Magu also disclosed that the Lagos Office of the agency has made 300 cybercrime-related arrests since January and have also secured 200 convictions.

I asked him if I have done something wrong ? I told him that am also here for the interview like others and why am I the only one asked to leave? I did not have any quarrel or misunderstanding with anyone, I told him i want to speak to the person that told him to walk me out of the interview hall without me committing any offense for I was in my best behavior, he refused and said if i don’t’t want to drop my CV it’s my choice but i should leave. I told him I perceive the reason I am being asked to leave but no problem. I handed over my CV to him, when I was about leaving, I heard a man asking the security guy if I dropped my CV, he nodded and said yes.. i told the security guy I know why you asked me to leave , then I left.
I tried has much as possible to control myself with tears coming down my eyes while walking out of the compound filled with people that also came for the interview. I was humiliated and embarrassed On that day, I began to ask myself: What is the need of me going to school and graduating with a first class(distinction) when people out there discriminate and stigmatize people that are physical challenged? I am not physical challenged but people think I am.
I only have what is called NF(#Neurofibromatosis) Its a genetic disorder that causes tumor to grow on the skin. #NF is not contagious or communicable. That you feel someone is physical challenged is not a enough reason to walk them out of an interview, things are not done that way.I am very bitter and frustrated by that day experience. Because I have NF that is not a reason to walk me out of the interview, that not fair.
Nigerian Singer/Songwriter, Willie XO has warned people to stop referring to him as R-Kelly’s look-alike, saying that it’s becoming too much and he can’t take it anymore.

Controversial Nigerian musician, Azeez Fashola, popularly known as Naira Marley has made a very controversial statement after sharing his thoughts about couples who do not have children of their own.

Reality Star, Tacha, has finally cleared the air on the rumors which have been going round social media, after her Instagram account was deactivated.
The disqualified BBNaija 2019 housemate who has managed to build a strong and committed fan base, deactivated her verified account on Instagram yesterday.
A search for the @Symply_Tacha username on the platform yields no result for her authentic account.
This came as a surprise to many because the platform had been her main medium of interacting with her fans and keeping them updated about her latest moves.

In one video posted to her Instagram page, the Nicki, 36, was also seen flaunting her gigantic $1.1M wedding ring bought by her husband, Kenneth Petty.
According to TMZ, Minaj’s husband, 41, was involved in every step of the design and making of her giant, square-cut jewel, which took several months.

Nigerian Singer, Davido, has apparently let go of his vendetta against the sisters who accused him of impregnating one of them.
Last week, social media went agog when the sisters, in a video claimed the father-of-3 impregnated one of them. Davido vehemently denied and vowed to unleash the full wrath of the law on them. He did keep to his words but he later had a change of heart and ordered their release.

Controversial Investigative journalist, Kemi Olunloyo has claimed that embattled instagram celebrity, Mompha who is in EFCC custody is lodging in a private hotel and reporting to office every morning.
Kemi Olunloyo called on the anti-graft agency to confirm or deny the claim that Mustapha Ismaila aka Mompha who was arrested and put in custody for fraud is lodging in a private hotel.

34-year-old Ifeoma Deborah Obi and her son, Chisimdi Victory Obi were burnt to death in the fire accident which occurred in Onitsha few weeks ago.
Both will be laid to rest on Friday November 15, in Awka-Etiti, Anambra State.
Reps to investigate Onitsha fire outbreak
The House of Representatives has resolved to mandate its committee on Emergency and Disaster Preparedness to investigate the immediate and remote causes of the recent fire outbreak in Onitsha, Anambra State.
This resolution followed a motion of urgent public importance moved by Okwudili Ezenwankwo and 2 others on Tuesday.
Moving the motion, Ezenwankwo said the fire outbreak, which was caused by petroleum tanker, claimed 6 lives as Federal Fire Service could not contain the inferno.
He noted that if the investigation is not done, then a future occurrence is possible.
Adding that National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) has failed to provide relief material to over 2,000 people turned homeless and 500 shops consumed by the inferno.
“The fire outbreak at Upper Iweka/Ochanja Market took the lives of at least six (6) persons and left many injured.
“Over thirty (30) vehicles, over fifty (50) houses (some with warehouses and street shops) and over five hundred (500) market lockup shops were razed by the fire incident.
“The fire outbreak of Upper Iweka/Ochanja Market has rendered over two thousand (2,000) hardworking people homeless, jobless and robbed them of their means of livelihood.
“Worried that after the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) rapid assessment of the incident, no feasible steps have been taken to ameliorate the hardship caused to the victims of this fire outbreak.
“If the immediate and remote causes of the fire incidents are not determined, a proper measure to forestall future fire outbreak might not be guaranteed,” he stated.
The House, therefore, resolved to “urge the Federal Government to order for immediate investigation of the cause of the fire incident.
“Call on the Federal Government to establish a Federal Fire Service Station In Onitsha, Anambra State.
“Call on National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) to send relief materials to the victims of Onitsha fire incidents.”

Trailing the event the singer parading his accusers in handcuffs even after they’d apologized and said their accusation was a prank, most social media users frowned at the act, criticized that action and Davido became a trending topic on social media.

American Comedian/Actor, Kevin Hart has broken his silence since undergoing surgery after suffering an accident.
Kevin, 40, revealed in the video shared to Instagram that his “world was changed forever” following the accident.
The actor was travelling as a passenger in a 1970 Plymouth Barracuda when it crashed down an embankment above Malibu in the early hours of 1 September. The accident left him with major injuries and he had to undergo surgery. The driver of the car, Jared Black, 28, and his fiancee Rebecca Broxterman, 31, were also seriously injured in the crash.
Hart says the crash was God’s way of telling him to “sit down”.
Kevin who was quite emotional in the video, said ;
“Basically you realise you’re not in control. No matter how much you think you’re in control, you’re not in control. And at the end of the day it can all be over.”
In the video, Hart is seen mostly wearing a back brace. It also shows Hart’s intensive rehabilitation and recovery in the two months since the crash.
Hart said the accident was a “message from God”, adding: “Life is funny, because some of the craziest things that happen to you end up being the things that you needed most.
“In this case I feel that God told me to sit down. When you’re moving too fast and doing too much, sometimes you can’t see the things you’re meant to see.”
“After my accident, I see things differently… My appreciation for life is through the roof,” he said.
Hart is seen in the video, spending precious time with his three kids and kissing his wife. He also thanked his family, friends and fans in the video.
He said: “I’m thankful for my family, my friends, for the people who simply ride with me and have been with me, because you stood by me. My fans – thank you for all of your love and support.”
Hart adds: “I’m not in a rush. I’m thankful for simply still being here.”
Yoruba Movie Actor, Femi Adebayo Salami tested his feminine side as he got dressed in female clothes for a movie role then went on to twerk in line with his role.
The actor had on a wig, sleeveless dress, and wedge sandals for the role.

While Mercy is not an ambassador for the luxury champagne brand,Moët & Chandon proudly supported her party with bottles of luxury champagne.
According to a Moët official, Moët & Chandon is currently not signing any new ambassadors and they generally allow people to take photos in their offices.
This wasn’t an exception. The source by BN, stated that Moët & Chandon is happy for Mercy for her success so far and that they wish her well. She is however not an ambassador for Moët & Chandon.
