”The only thing i regret in life is my Tribal Mark” – Actor, Olaiya Igwe says

Actor Ebun Oloyede popularly known as Olaiya Igwe, has revealed that his only regret in life is his tribal marks.

Igwe made this known in an interview with City people magazine.

He said his biggest regret in life remains his parents’ decision to give him tribal mark, insisting that there is no need for parents to give their children tribal marks.

Read excerpts below:

Are there any specific things that you do, like routine, what you eat or exercise to keep fit?

I was born in the village, Mogan in Abeokuta. At the age of 5 my mum took me to Oke Koto in Agege, Lagos, and then later returned me back to Abeokuta. Why am I saying this? I enjoyed a lot of natural things in the village especially food and fruits. Probably, I was given some herbs too that makes me look young always (laugh). I did not regret living, growing up from the village. The only thing I regret is the tribal mark.

Why sir?

Tribal mark is not a culture. It is an uncivilized act. It is not a DNA, because as at that time they believed it is Yoruba DNA. It is very easy to recognize one another outside that you are from the same compound, but who told them that I belong to their family or part of their family? It is only my mother that can tell if I belong to the family or not. What if my pregnancy belongs to her concubine, but she brought it to my father? Which is very possible then, and there was nothing like DNA test to check the true paternity of a child then.

Woman marries 3 husbands, trends on Twitter as she makes front page of a newspaper

Woman marries 3 husbands

A woman married three husbands against her father’s approval and he gathered his clansmen to chase his daughter’s husbands away from her home. This interesting story out of Uganda made the front page of a newspaper and is now trending on Twitter.

Ann Grace Aguti, a mother of three, from the Ngora district in Uganda, said she was married like other women. Her desire in her marriage was to have a “tender, loving husband, who can provide all my needs as a housewife.”

When her husband wasn’t meeting that need, she said she decided to do things her way.

“My husband was useless and I remained the breadwinner. When I left him, I started looking for that special someone, but I have not yet found him because even now, I have to feed the men that I have. So, my search continues.”

Her search led her to a number of men who became her husbands, living in her house and taking turns to sleep with her. Then, she met another man who she brought home after which she chased all her other husbands “due to lack of discipline”. She later brought two other men home, making them three husbands.

Woman marries 3 husbands

36-year-old Aguti, is the head of the home, according to her husbands. She allocated three out of the seven huts in her compound to the men.

Enyaku, who is the first of her current three husbands to arrive, told of how he came to be her husband.

He said: “When I came to her home, I found other men already husbanding her, but she chased them away because she reserves the right to admit anyone of her choice. I strongly believe her pregnancy is mine.”

Aguti is currently pregnant with her fourth child. It is not clear who is responsible for the child in her womb because she has a host of other lovers besides her three husbands.

But Aguti’s lifestyle doesn’t go down well with a number of people, even though the men don’t mind sharing her. Her father, a pastor, is one of those opposed to the marriage.

Pastor Peter Ogwang mobilised clan members to intervene in his daughter’s marriage, because, according to him, polyandry is not acceptable in the Teso community.

Pastor Ogwang had a meeting with clansmen to plot a way forward. They engaged clansmen to surround his daughter’s compound early in the morning and arrest the husbands.

However, “when they arrived, they met resistance and Aguti defended herself during an exchange with her father,” Sunday Vision newspaper reports.

Woman marries 3 husbands

Aguti told her father during the confrontation: “Dad, I am an adult with a home. It is my right to have the three men who, fortunately, understand each other.”

She then said to every man who came to her compound to expel her husbands: “Who among you, dad inclusive, will take me as a wife now that you are chasing away my husbands?”

Well, the local council clan eventually ruled that the men should leave Aguti’s house for the time being and if they want to still marry her, they are to come officially with identification and introduce themselves to the local authority.

The three husbands left and vowed to return. As it stands, one husband has already returned with his duly signed letters.

Twitter users have been reacting to the new in hilarious ways.

Read the rest of the story in the newspaper clippings below.

“Ike needs to stop following Mercy up and down” – Social media users react to Ike showing up with Mercy everywhere.

Big Brother Naija 2019 has come and gone but there are lot of activities still going on with the housemates after show’s end.

These housemates have been introduced to a new type of lifestyle, fame, connection and media attention.

Mercy Eke, the winner of the 2019 edition is one of such housemates that have been making money moves since the show ended, from getting brand endorsements to getting her own crib, a four-bedroom duplex.. Mercy is on a roll.

However, in the glimmer of Mercy’s shining star, someone seems to always be in the background being supportive all the way — that person is Ike Onyeama, Mercy’s love interest in the house.

The couple have kept it strong since the show ended and they are almost seen together in any event and indeed everywhere.

Social media users however, are suggesting Ike should stop following Mercy ”Up and Down” and should get to doing his own stuff. Some reactions have been posted on micro-bloggging website, twitter, see them below ;

“Wizkid has Talent But He Is Not Hardworking” – Nigerian Man Says On Twitter

A Nigerian Man on twitter has given his preference when it comes to two of Nigeria’s biggest singers, Wizkid and Davido.

For a while now, the debate has lingered on which singer was the country’s best, most talented, and the one with more fans. That debate has never ended and a recent tweet from this user with the handle @uncleefezy proves that.

His tweet reads ;

Wizkid has the talent, but too reserved Nd feels unbothered, if wizkid is as hard working as obo wizzy will bring us Grammy no doubt on that, obo is extremely hardworking Nd that has helped him a lot, just like the case of messi and Ronaldo (hard work matters)

Mother of four dies while undergoing an abortion by a fake doctor (photo)

A Mother-of-four kids identified as Kehinde Olakitan, has met her untimely death after she employed the services of a quack doctor to abort an unwanted pregnancy.

The fake doctor, a 56-year-old identified as Salahudeen Jamiu, pictured above, was arrested by men of the Ogun state police command for allegedly conducting an abortion that killed the housewife .

A statement from the command’s spokesperson, Abimbola Oyeyemi, said the deceased, a mother of four, had gone to Salahudeen’s hospital, Mojisola Maternity Clinic, for an abortion without the consent of her husband. During the abortion procedure by the quack doctor, the deceased suffered a medical emergency and died.

“The Divisional Police Officer (DPO) Onipanu SP Magdalene Adeniji received a complaint from the deceased’s husband and detailed detectives to track the operator of the maternity centre who was on the run at the time.

Their efforts yielded positive result when the suspect was arrested on October 24. He admitted that he carried out abortion on the woman who was brought by Odebunmi and that in the process she died.

“He confessed that he was not a trained medical doctor that he learnt the practice off the street. He also admitted to have dumped the woman’s body near her house out of fear.

“The corpse has been deposited at the General Hospital Mortuary in Ota for autopsy. The Commissioner of Police Bashir Makama has ordered the transfer of the suspect to homicide section of the State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department (SCIID) for proper action.

“The CP also appealed to the public to always patronise qualified health providers whenever the need arises instead of seeking medical assistance from quack.”Oyeyemi said

The Most High : Rev. Obofour tells church member to smoke weed during service (video)

Rev. Obofour tells

Fresh from the miracle vixen scandal that rocked some pastors last week, a popular cleric in Ghana known as Rev. Obofour is trending on social media over some weird reason.

The weird scene played out at a three day church programme organized by Ghanaian preacher Abruku Abruka, as Rev. Obofour made a member of the church he visited, smoke weed in the auditorium.

Rev. Obofour had a brief encounter with the man in church after he asked if anyone in the church had marijuana. After the man identified as 41-year-old Razak came out with one, the Ghanaian Pastor asked him to smoke it to verify his claim.

He further said that the weed he made Razak smoke in church was the last one, as he has now broken that “bad habit” and is ready to take care of him (Razak) as his own son.
