Operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, Ilorin Zonal Office have arrested ten persons over their alleged offences bordering on internet fraud and other fraud-related offences.
The suspects were arrested on Monday, October 21, 2019, in Basin Area of Ilorin following intelligence reports over their involvement in internet fraud and other fraud-related Offences.
The suspects are, Paul Chibuzor, David Daniels, Tolu Ogundowole, Tosin Ogundowole, Agwu Goodness, Olayiwola Azeez, Olamide Ijisesan, Chilaka Dickson, Abdullahi Abubakar, and Temitope Bambo.
They would be charged to court at the end of their investigation for their involvement in internet fraud.

An Ikeja domestic violence and sexual offences court has sentenced Adegboyega Adenekan, a school supervisor, to 60 years imprisonment for child defilement. Sybil Nwaka, the presiding judge, handed down the sentence after convicting Adenekan of a lone-count charge of defiling a two-year and 11-month-old pupil.
Adenekan had pleaded not guilty to the charge the Lagos state government filed against him. But while delivering her verdict, Nwaka described Adenekan, as “wicked, conscienceless and an animal who is not worthy of walking on the streets of Lagos. I hereby sentence Adegboyega Adenekan to 60 years’ imprisonment. This is the sentence of the court,” the judge held.
Nwaka said schools should not only be interested in economic gain but the welfare of pupils. “Schools should not cover up teachers who sexually abuse children. Parents should not be carried away by aesthetics of schools. This case may just be the tip of the iceberg as a lot of our children are suffering in silence,” she held.
“Parents should be bold enough to confront teachers and school management because a lot of our children are suffering in silence. I advise or recommend that the education and social welfare ministry workers should visit schools randomly to give them a check.”
Seven witnesses, including the pupil and her mother, testified for the prosecution, which closed its case on March 14. The defence called five witnesses. The victim had told the judge how she was defiled by the 47-year-old supervisor of the school. At the time the incident happened in 2016, Adenekan was at the Victoria Garden City (VGC) branch of the school.

A nanny has been arrested after a 20-month-old boy Langelihle Mnguni she was hired to care for was found dead in Ekurhuleni, South Africa.
The child’s distraught mother, 28-year-old Lerato Mngun, from Daveyton in Ekurhuleni, said she hired the nanny through a Tembisa-based placement agency when her son, Langelihle, was two months old.
“Why? I just want to know why,” said Lerato Mnguni.
They all lived all in harmony, until tragedy struck last Friday when Lerato returned from work.
Lerato and her aunt arrived to find the security gate locked but the door unlocked. The keys were thrown on to the kitchen floor.
“I thought she had taken my child and run off,” said Lerato.
She and her aunt eventually got into the house and said they found the nanny in her bedroom, praying on the floor, with her top off. There was allegedly a white substance around her. She had small abrasions and had vomited and defecated.
“She said they [intruders] had broken into the house. I asked her where the child was and she said they had taken him,” Lerato said.
She said the carer claimed that the attack happened at about 5.30am, just after Lerato and her aunt left for work. The 39-year-old woman had said that she could not call out or phone for help.
“We asked her who the culprits were and whether she had seen them and she said yes. She said she had heard the voice of a neighbour. She opened the door and burglar gate for them. They came in, forced her to drink poison and took off with the child,” Lerato said.
Sitting on her bed with a small photo frame containing Lihle’s picture and a candle burning next to it, Lerato said she rushed outside, searching for her son to no avail.
“I called the ambulance for the nanny and the police,” Lerato said.
After attending to her, the paramedics asked the family to bathe the nanny before transporting her.
“They said they could not take her because she had defecated on herself, so they asked us to bathe her. My aunt went to the storeroom to go and get a small tub that we could wash her in,” Lerato said.
It was there that the horrific discovery of the little boy’s body was made.
“My aunt picked up the child, thinking he was still alive and rushed him to the paramedics who were attending to the nanny,” Lerato said.
They, along with the child’s father, Sihle Tshabalala, tried to resuscitate him but it was too late.
Sihle, 40, described how helpless he felt trying to resuscitate his son.
“I was just holding him, hoping and praying for a miracle” he said.
He said when he arrived at the family home, he had not bothered to look for the child in the house because of the unfolding drama.
“We had spent two to three hours outside. I had this hope or belief that I could do something. I tried everything,” said Sihle. “I tried CPR for close to an hour. I was just holding him, hoping and praying for a miracle,” the grieving dad added, seated on the bed, next to Lerato.
Lihle’s post-mortem revealed shocking news.
“The post mortem said there was a fracture around the neck. There was no poison found,” Sihle said, adding that his child had allegedly been strangled.
Confirming the incident to TimesLIVE, Police Brigadier Mathapelo Peters said,
“A woman is expected to make a second appearance in court next week following the death of a 20-month-old toddler. She appeared in the Benoni magistrate’s court [on Monday] after a preliminary investigation by the police linked her to the death of the child. She was arrested on Friday, the 18th.”
“Initially, the woman had claimed to police that robbers had come into the house and forced her to consume poison as well as the child. The child was found dead while the woman was rushed to hospital. But when police conducted the initial investigation surrounding the death of the child, the woman was found to be a possible suspect,” Peters added.

A Nigerian lady has died alongside two others after they were hit by a drunk driver then rejected by a hospital because they do not have a “police report”.
Othniel, the brother of the deceased identified as Jemima one of the casualties, said his sister, who is a student at the University of Jos, was in a keke napep with a fellow student, on their way to church, when a drunk driver “left his lane, climbed the road barricade” and rammed into their tricycle, causing it to sommersault multiple times.

He also added that the drunk driver is set to walk free “because of corruption within the police force.”

He survived the accident.

This hospital rejected both of them. Stupid mofos wanted a Police Report, before taking them in.
From there, they were rushed to another hospital, but before any medical help could be given, Jemima and Jennifer had died.
Worse still, the police are currently attempting to grant the murderer of three people, bail.

A Federal High Court in Lagos on Wednesday heard that stolen credit card information issued by European, American and Latin American banks were retrieved from a laptop allegedly belonging to musician, Azeez Fashola popularly known as Naira Marley.
An Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) forensics expert, Mr Nuru Buhari told Justice Nicholas Oweibo that some of the credit card information belonged to four persons in the United Kingdom (UK) including one Nicole Louise.
Buhari testified as the EFCC’s first prosecution witness in Marley’s alleged card fraud trial which began on Tuesday.
The witness, who was led in evidence by EFCC counsel Mr Rotimi Oyedepo, alleged that apart from the stolen information, the website visit history recovered from the device showed that the top five most visited sites dealt with buying and selling of stolen credit card information.
Buhari said: “During analysis, the cache file and history file revealed that the most frequently visited sites by the user of the computer includes arder007.org, Zuni.sa, nationwidecheckbalance.co.uk, ferunshop.net AMD cocoa.co.uk.”
“Analysis of the websites revealed that web 1 is where stolen card information is sold to intending fraudsters, web 2 is for stolen credit cards specifically for the UK, web 3 is an online website designed for UK card holders to check their balance wherever they are around the world, web 4 is a dark web meaning an underground tunnel in the internet where stolen credit card information are sold and traded, web 5 is an online shopping mall where members are given discounts for shopping from certain shops.”
He said stolen credit card information with special status that allows transaction up-to $12,000 without a pin or physical card was found in a file named select BIN 101.txt and .txt.
The witness added: “For the note file, two major files were discovered named .txt which contained about four credit card information belonging to four different personalities in the UK including one Nicole Louise. ”
“The second file is named selected BIN101.txt containing Bank Identification Number of European, American and Latin American banks.
“When we ran the BIN code search for the first six digits of the cards, it revealed they are Visa cards issued by Barclay’s bank, Sandander UK plc.”
Buhari testified that an analysis allowed his team to identify “certain banks in the US, Europe and Asia with certain peculiarities, these are banks that they issue credit cards without pins based on the high level of trust, they allow a transaction of up to $12,000 in a swipe on pos.
“Cards issued by those banks are card not required. All you need to execute a transaction is the card number and the CVV number. ”
According to him, suspicious apps that are mostly used by people with shady deals on the internet were found on the laptop.
He said: “We analysed installed apps on the laptop and we found two apps that enables the owner of the computer to decide the server of a bank as to his identity and location, IP VANISH and TOR browser.
“The TOR browser is sometimes called the onion. Most of the criminals cover their tracks with various layers just like an onion using this app to make it near impossible for a tracker to track their location.
“The IP VANISH is a virtual private network (VPN) which provides that the actual computer and location of usage cannot be identified. It also gives the user the ability to change their location.”
The court heard further that an analysis of the administrator account on the laptop revealed that the admin is one Naira Marley and the account was connected to his iCloud account.
During the hearing, Oyedepo tendered the request for the analysis of the Apple Mac book Pro laptop, an iPhone allegedly confiscated from the defendant and the forensic laboratory report prepared by Mr Buhari.
Justice Oweibo adjourned till Friday for cross examination of the witness.
Fashola, popular for his “Am I a Yahoo Boy” and “Soapy” tracks, is being prosecuted by the EFCC on an 11-count charge of conspiracy, possession of counterfeit cards and fraud.

Recall, In the over three minute video, the two women obviously irritated and angry claimed that Davido had through his manager, Lati accosted them during a birthday gathering at Eko Hotel in Lagos.
According to the lady, after having sex with Davido, she found out that she was pregnant and all moves made towards reaching Davido and his manager have been received with strong opposition.

Well, Davido got a hold of the video quite quickly and as such, has responded to the development just as fast as it ensued. Taking to the comment section of a post of the video on social media, the singer laughs his derriere out as he says they pregnancy is “audio pregnancy”
A Nigerian lady took to Instagram to share a video of a particular ‘corporate’ thief who reportedly stole goods worth N1.6m from a shop she oversees.
The man was spotted in the CCTV footage she shared stealing the goods when she turned away to prepare his order. @cathrineapeh stted that she told the man to drop the goods he stole after she caught him red-handed in the act, which he did before walking out of the shop.
She wrote;
