Don Jazzy might have the fame and affluence any young Nigerian person might be hoping to get but the Mavins boss has said there is more to that.
Don Jazzy complained about the state of the poverty in the nation and feels helpless in trying to help the situation and thus is not able to live his best life.
In a series of tweet he posted, he hinted that Nigerian’s standard of living is just ‘Sad’.

EME Boss, Banky W recently schooled an upcoming musician who boasted about pirating his movie on Instagram.
Banky, who has successfully broken into Nollywood took to Instagram to reveal that the movie is now available to watch on Netflix.
Replying to the post, Kennie, an upcoming musician wrote: “I already have it on my phone.”

As many as 29 persons have escaped death after a commercial bus plunged into a canal in front of the National Theatre in Lagos.
According to a report by NAN, the 29 passengers on a board a commercial bus that plunged into a canal in front of the National Theatre complex, Iganmu, Lagos, on Monday were all rescued unhurt.
NAN reports that the vehicle, with registration number MISA 68 XH, suddenly developed technical problem and plunged into the canal opposite National Theatre entrance.
The driver of the bus, Mr Augustine Okorie, who spoke to NAN, described the survival of the passengers as a “miracle’’.
“I was bringing in 29 passengers from Shinbiri area in Okokomaiko along the Badagry Expressway and on getting to the front of the National Art Theatre, I lost control and the vehicle plunged into the canal.
“As I was about to change the gear and could not do that immediately, the vehicle started to swerve uncontrollably and before you know what was happening, we found ourselves inside the canal.
“In spite of the situation, I was so worried about my conductor who was hanging by the door, but we thank God none of us sustained injury,” Okorie said.
An official of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), who refused to be identified, told NAN at the scene of the accident that they quickly alerted other emergency and traffic management agencies who assisted in the quick rescue of occupant of the vehicle.
NAN, however, reports that the vehicle was brought out of the canal 30 minutes later by officials of Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA).
Nigerian on-air-personality, Dotun, is not unnerved by the death threats he claims he’s been receiving recently as he’s bent on granting the interview with Big Brother Naija’s Tacha come Wednesday.
Earlier in the day, Dotun announced via his Instagram page, that he is cancelling the scheduled interview with Tacha because he received a death threat from suspected Titans.
He also explained that he isn’t ready to risk his life and that of his family over something that doesn’t really worth it.
To calm the situation, Tacha’s manager, Teebilz sent an official message to Titans, pleading with them to spread love and halt the violence.

Mercy in a new media chat shared that she has no intention of sharing her ₦35 million prize money with any of her ex-housemates, even her favourites.

The report trailing the video says a lady, who happens to be a main chic of a guy, caught him with his side chic and assaulted her with a wig over their affair.
Report have it that that the main chick turned up at the mall after she learnt that her boyfriend was taking his side chic to the shopping outlet.
The confrontation escalated into a brawl and the main chick as seen in the video, removes the side chic’s wig and used it to assault her.

Operatives of the EFCC, Ibadan zonal office, on Monday, October 14, 2019, raided a Osogbo-based nightclub notorious for hosting parties for suspected internet fraudsters.
The raid led to the arrest of 94 suspects and confiscation of 19 exotic cars, laptops, scores of sophisticated mobile phones and other items.
Popularly known as ‘Club Secret Underground’, the nightclub is located on the Ibadan-Iwo Expressway of the Osun State capital.
The wee-hour operation was sequel to an intelligence report hinting that the suspected internet fraudsters were organising a night party for Sunday, October 13, during which some of them intended to celebrate their loots.
A discreet operation on the club had earlier been carried out to ascertain the authenticity of the intelligence.
The confirmation, therefore, led to the mega raid effected this morning.
The suspects are currently undergoing further interrogation, and would be charged to court as soon as investigations are concluded.

Davido reveals when he will quit smoking as Don Jazzy celebrates one year without cigarettes
Mavin producer, Don Jazzy, on Wednesday celebrated one year of quitting smoking.
The ‘Ijeoma crooner who quit smoking last year took to his Twitter handle @DONJAZZY to announce that he has kept to his promise.
He wrote, “Today makes it one year since I quit smoking. Clap for me please,” he tweeted.
Responding to a fan who asked how he was able to quit smoking, he said:
“I just stopped like that o. Cold turkey. Though I started overeating sha. After two months, you will be alright.”
Following Don Jazzy’s decisions, Nigerian Superstar, David Adeleke a.k.a Davido has also pledged to quit smoking soon.
The singer made the announcement on his Instagram page after he arrived at the city of Los Angeles, California in the USA.

According to the CBN, the new policy stipulates ‘Stamp Duties Payment’ on individual transactions that occur on PoS, rather than previous plans where charges occurred on aggregate transactions.

The office of the Presidency has re-iterated its vow of lifting 100m Nigerians out of extreme poverty in the next 10 years.
President Buhari’s Senior Special Assistant (SSA) on Social Investment Programmes, Barrister Ismaeel Ahmed who spoke on behalf of the Presidency said the administration laid the foundation to fulfill the promise in the last four years of his administration. He also outlined how they plan to achieve this.
His words ;
“The first four years of the President Buhari administration has been a tedious project of setting up a foundation for the journey ahead.
“That journey on our part is to see that we empower the less privileged, the poorest Nigerians, the unemployed, and giving them the opportunity to lift themselves out of their predicaments and empowering them for self-development and fulfillment.
“The President is committed to this project, and thus has set a mandate of lifting 100 million Nigerians out of extreme poverty within the next 10 years.
“It may sound too ambitious to some or perhaps even outlandish, but with the renewed focus and commitment I have seen from the President, this is a feat that can be achieved and we must ensure that we roll up our sleeves to do just that.
“We have set targets for ourselves. We are going to up the numbers by reaching more communities, reaching more people who are within our purview.
“Each of the clusters of the Social Investment Programmes has a target of the number of beneficiaries it must reach within a period of time given the availability of resources. We are going to make sure that we do not falter, slow down, relax or give up. We are determined.
“Also we are going to ensure that we improve on our monitoring activities – this would ensure that we take stock of where we are and what we are doing at every point in time. If we see that we are not measuring up to targets then we know that we need to scale up.”
Ismaeel further explained: “I have a reason to believe that poverty should not be a permanent feature or an affliction that must remain with us. The goal set out by the President on lifting a 100 million people out of extreme poverty is a task I am personally committed and dedicated to.”

Nigerian singing sensation, Wizkid has in a recent interview, revealed that he can’t afford to stay without Nigerian food even when he is out of the country.
The “Ghetto Love” crooner disclosed this on an interview with Capital Xtra in the united Kingdom after he was quizzed on why he left Los Angeles, United States after staying there for two years.
Wizkid then shared that he had to exit LA because he was bored and more especially because of the consistent scarcity of Nigerian delicacies.
The award winning singer then went ahead to reveal that he doesn’t eat any other food apart from Nigerian food.
He revealed no matter the country he is at in the world, he always eats Nigerian food. He went on to give an example of how he paid 140,000 naira (400 dollars) a day to get a cook in the United States to cook Nigerian food for him.
The video of some police officers assaulting a lawyer in Onitsha, Anambra state has surfaced online.
In the video posted online by a Facebook user, Ben Chuks Udoh, the policemen could be seen charging at the lawyer and asking him “what was his concern” in a matter that they were handling.

In other news, the Anambra State Police command have apprehended the man who assaulted some Enugu Electricity Distribution Company (EEDC) staff after being served an electricity bill he claimed was outrageous at Umuoji road in Ogidi area of Anambra state.
It was earlier reported that the man locked in and assaulted the EEDC staff over move to disconnect his apartment from the power grid.
A video update shared on social media revealed that the man has been arrested by the police and will also be prosecuted over charges bordering on assault.
The University of Ghana seems embroiled in sex related scandals at the moment as one student was dragged out of class by parents of a girl he got pregnant.
A video which has gone viral on social media shows a chaotic scene that ensued after the parents and relatives of the pregnant girl stormed the Lecture hall where the unidentified student was having a lecture, and dragged him out.

Robert Forster, the Journeyman actor whose comeback role as a bail bondsman in Quentin Tarantino’s “Jackie Brown” earned him an Oscar nomination, passed away on Friday, October 11th at his home in Los Angeles.
He died at the age of 78 and the cause of his death has been ruled as brain cancer, according to Kathie Berlin, a longtime friend who handled his publicity.
Forster appeared in close to 200 films and television shows during his more than five decades in show business. He made his movie debut in “Reflections in a Golden Eye,” the racy 1967 drama directed by John Huston and starring Marlon Brando and Elizabeth Taylor.
Forster, whose two marriages ended in divorce, is survived by his longtime partner, Denise Grayson; a son, Robert Forster Jr.; three daughters: Elizabeth Foster Howell, Maeghen Perry Dimperio and Kate Forster Simmons; and four grandchildren.
Ghanaian celebrity, Nana Frema, who went under the knife after being body-shamed on social media has cried out over not getting movie roles.
The Actress said she surgery to become comfortable in her body and to grow her career but that seem not to be forthcoming.
Nana told Graphic Showbiz in a recent interview ;
“You know when I went to work on my body, it was because of the name calling, which at a point got me depressed and I thought going for surgery would work. It did because I’m now comfortable with who I am, I can wear what I want and all that but with my career especially, it has not helped, I am not satisfied.
“I feel it is because I came out to say that indeed I had worked on my body. The movie roles are not coming, the singing gigs are not coming and I sometimes feel I shouldn’t have come out, I think it has really worked against me.
Going further, she revealed her love life has also been affected by the plastic surgery as her boyfriend is ashamed to take her out, because his friends keep taunting him with her body being fake.
“I don’t blame them though because Ghana is not yet there. We have not gotten to that point where we will accept things like this.
“Interestingly, men like ladies with big butts, some even pay for their girlfriends to go and do it, even pastors pay for their wives but I guess they do not like that when it’s in the public like mine,” she said.
When asked if she had any regrets going under the knife, she said no, “I wouldn’t say I regret it because it increased my self esteem and gave me the confidence that I wanted but it is just the other side that I lack.”
