A 29-year-old Woman identified as Taija Russell, has been arrested and accused of burning a man’s house after he invited her over for late-night sex, then fell asleep before she arrived.
Taija was arrested Tuesday in connection with a fire that destroyed a home earlier this month, said Woodbury police.
Police accuse Russell of sending a series of angry texts to her ‘man’ before she burned his house. Some of the texts she sent on the night of the incident includes, “You wasted my money to come out here,” “U smoked,” “I see you wanna die,” and “I swear to god I hope you die,” police said.
The man told police he’d invited Russell to his home “and stated that she was a ‘side chick’ whom he had been having a sexual relationship with”. The victim woke up around 4:30 a.m. to find flames blocking the exit from his smoke-filled residence. He escaped by physically removing a window frame and climbing through the opening, police said.
Surveillance video captures Russell buying matches, a lighter and lighter fluid from a local gas station. From there, another camera shows her knocking on his door around 4 a.m. Russell is being held on charges of attempted murder, aggravated arson, endangering and criminal mischief.
Dokun Olumofin, brother to popular relationship doctor, Joro Olumfin, has just shared a photo of himself from a hospital bed with a ‘strong’ warning.
Sharing details of his ailment Dokun wrote, ‘I reached the gate of death, but God didn’t allow me pass through. To all my living STAY AWAY from Kilishi. I repeat stay away from KILISHI. A word is enough for the wise. I thank God. Out of the hospital and kicking’.
‘Killichi resulted to a chemical in my blood that shut down my haemoglobin. In arterial oxygen my readings were under 60, in pulse reading in the 70s. I lost blood and had no flow of oxygen. Had to be transfused and needed support to breathe! I could not move, hardly knew what was going on around me. Doctors were confused, never seen anything like it. Eyes jaundiced etc. Honestly, i didn’t think I will make it’.
A Kenyan gospel singer with the moniker ‘Nicah the Queen’ was forced to take down a bikini photo she shared on her Instagram page after suffering a backlash from her followers.
The photo she shared came with a caption which suggested that she was trying on the bikini before heading out for a swim.
Nicah the Queen captioned the now deleted photo ;
“I know it’s not about them but the day before I shaved I got myself a bikini … go swimming or just leave it. It’s never that serious”
The photo led to an altercation between Nicah the Queen and some of her followers before it was eventually deleted.
A video making rounds on social media captured moment a yahoo boy (internet fraudster) identified as Junior allegedly ran mad.
Eyewitnesses stated that the young man in the video ran mad after failing to use his mother for money rituals, a claim that is yet to be confirmed.
He was heard saying in the video that he opted to use his private part, but “they” refused. He also queried why they never asked him to use his father for the money ritual process.

Gedoni and Venita on Sunday night engaged in a deep conversation regarding his relationship with Khafi.
Venita started the conversation after Sunday live eviction show which had Ebuka Obi-Uchendu questioning Khafi about Venita’s stepping into her relationship with Gedoni.
Gedoni approached Venita who was angry at Khafi for discussing her relationship with other housemates.
Venita speaking to him told him she doesn’t care about Khafi and would have him if she feels so.
Gedoni in response hugged Venita and placed a kiss on her cheek.
This development has stirred reactions from BBNaija fans as some accuse Gedoni of playing Khafi while others attacked Venita, describing her relationship with Gedoni as a strategy.
We recall that the BBNaija love-birds ‘Gedoni and Khafi’ had on different occasions been caught in the house having sex.

Clergyman and movie producer, Mike Bamiloye has taken to his social media page to shake a table that has many Nigerian artistes on it.
Mike Bamiloye questioned the reason entertainers, whose music talents were nurtured and groomed by a church opted to leave the church to sing for the ‘clubs and the world’. The clergyman then pleaded with such entertainers to return to the source.

The ‘live sex’ witnessed in the ongoing Big Brother Naija reality show seems to have gotten to the Federal Government as it has lodged a complaint with the National Broadcasting Commission (NBC).
The complaint led to arrangement for launch of a modified reality show where the true Nigerian culture will be shown, Nigerian food will be eaten and Nigerian dresses worn.
Otunba Segun Runsewe, the National Council for Arts and Culture Director-General disclosed this when paid a visit by the President of the National Council of Women Societies Dr Gloria Shoda. It is also expected that the NCAC will represent the 2008 Nudity Bill titled ‘A Bill for an Act to punish and prohibit nudity, sexual intimidation and other-related offences in Nigeria,’ sponsored by the former chairperson, Senate Committee on Women and Youth, Eme Ekaette.
“We are going to represent that bill You can’t fight a battle without a legal framework; we are definitely going to be conscious of that”, Runsewe assured.
“I will take up the issue of Big Brother Naija; I have spoken with officials of the National Broadcasting Commission because what is going on now is terrible. Having love affairs on screen is not part of our own culture at all.
“Let me use this forum to tell Nigerians that a new Big Brother Naija is on its way coming and we are working with Startimes. We are doing BBN that will reflect the true Nigerian culture. We are already working on it, all that will be eaten there will be Nigerian food, the dresses will be Nigerian dresses” he added.
On her own part, the NCWS President said she was concerned with the negative impact the live sex has on Nigerian youths.
Shoda said, “Having a live sex on stage is the thing affecting my sensibility and it is impacting negatively on the young children coming up. Does it mean that they can’t abstain from sex for three months? I’m condemning the sex content on BBN.”

The former AC Milan centre-back turned pastor on retirement from football said it was rampant during his era as a footballer but added he could only talk about it because he was now a born-again Christian.
“Sometimes we (the players) will import ladies from other countries and keep them in different hotels. As the competition progressed, more ladies would keep coming and going. Big Brother Naija Housemate, Frodd, became a trending topic in the early hours of Sunday after it appeared he tried to force himself on his love-interest Esther.
Esther was having none of that and she turned him down, Biggie noticed the action, summoned him to the diary room and seemingly punished him.
Social media users reacted to the action and were even suggesting Frodd gets disqualified as he was engaging in an act reminiscent of Kemen’s low moment in the 2017 Edition of the reality TV Show.

Embattled CEO of Invictus Group, Obinwanne Okeke failed to show up in court with a lawyer for the commencement of his trial on two counts of conspiracy to commit computer fraud and conspiracy to commit wire fraud.
It led to the United States Federal Public Defender in Eastern District of Virginia stepping up to defend him for the case.
Invictus Obi, as he fondly called, was first arraigned before Magistrate Theresa Buchanan on August 7, after the FBI team led by Marshall Ward also found out that he duped an American shoe manufacturer and used several e-mail accounts which have previously been linked to fraudulent activities online and flagged in the F.B.I. database.
He was granted a request of seeing a public health dental hygienist on the first day of his trial. Though it is not clear how long he has been having issues with his teeth, however the US magistrate ruled that the doctor must attend to the suspected fraudster in custody.

Men of the Lagos State Police Command secured the arrest of eight suspected cultists, including a female while being initiated into a dread cult group, called ‘One Million Boys.’
A statement issued by Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, Bala Elkana said on they were arrested on Thursday by operatives of Operation Crush from Ilemba Hausa Police Station led by the Divisional Police Officer, CSP Kazeem Abonde, acting on credible Intelligence.
Bala said eight suspected members of ‘One Million Boys’ Confraternity were arrested. The suspects were arrested at No.15 Alado Street Shibiri where they were being initiated into the cult group by one Yusuf Abu, 20.
Those arrested are Sunday Gabriel, 20; Rilwan Dauda, 18; Mohammed Sikiru, 23; Oladimeji Abayomi, 18; Rasheed Alabi, 20; Habeeb Idowu, 18; Olaiya Bisola, 18 and Hazzan Hawawu, 19.

Big Brother Naija 2018 housemate, Ifu Ennada took to her social media page to take a major swipe at some Nigerian celebrities who according to her wear fake designer clothes and shoes.

In a goodwill message to the Awujale of Ijebuland, Oba (Dr.) Adetona, the Founder of FCMB Group, who is also the Olori Omo-Oba Akile Ijebu, Otunba (Dr) Olasubomi Balogun, CON, expressed his gratitude to the paramount ruler for his selflessness, distinguished and exemplary leadership for the 59 years he has been the paramount ruler of Ijebuland, which makes him one of the longest reigning monarchs in Nigeria.
In the same vein, the Group Chief Executive of FCMB Group Plc, Mr. Ladi Balogun, congratulated the monarch for upholding the values of Ijebuland and raising the status of the event over the years. He stated that, ‘’the Ojude Oba Festival is a rallying point to promote the sustainable growth and development of our community.
