Alhaja Monsurat Ashabi Oluwatoyin Oyemade Rufai Abraham, popularly known as Toyin Igbira, has died at the age of 56.
She died on the 19th of July after losing the battle to a protracted illness she had been nursing for over 5 years.
The Late Toyin Igbira, who hit big headlines several times for controversial reasons was born on the 18th of February, 1963.
She was arrested many times for drug trafficking offences. She’s been ill for over 5 years now, but about 2 years ago, there were reports that she had survived the life-threatening illness and that she had returned to Nigeria after receiving medical treatment abroad.
Igbira owns comfortable houses in Abuja, Lagos and the United States.
After the Saturday Night Party in the Big Brother Naija house, the Housemates could not escape the little ‘sparks’ that erupted among them.
Tacha in particular was buzzing of volcanic energy that she would have unleashed on Mike as she almost got physical.
Tacha hurled abusive words at Mike for a period of time but Mike, however, did not retaliate.
The action from Tacha prompted reactions on social media and most notably, Don Jazzy, an avid follower of the reality TV show, frowned at her behavior.

Spokesperson of the Nigeria Police Force, Frank Mba, has confirmed that its operatives served official Invitation letters on Nigerian singer, Timi Dakolo and his wife, Busola Dakolo yesterday Saturday, July 20th July.
A statement released by Mba states that the invitation is sequel to an on-going police investigation into the rape scandal involving Busola Dakolo, COZA senior pastor Biodun Fatoyinbo and others.
Mba in the statement, appealed for calm, and reassured Nigerians that the Police Force under the watch of the Inspector General of Police Adamu Mohammed, will remain professional, impartial and unreservedly committed to the pursuit of justice in this case and all other cases before it.
“It is important however to note that a Police Invitation Letter is not synonymous with a Warrant of Arrest, and must not be construed to be one. Rather, it is a polite investigative tool used in eliciting information voluntarily from parties to aid police investigations.’
And that ‘members of the public should see it as a legitimate act in line with the constitutional mandate of the police, which among other things include the investigation of all complaints brought before it.’ the statement read in part.
This comes after the singer, via his Instagram page, raised an alarm after the policemen stormed his house in Lagos – for the fear of a possible attack by the men, Timi vowed to fight for his wife and his children.
He wrote,
‘I will fight for my wife and my children -it’s the promise I made with my life and one I intend to keep .I will defend them from the unrelenting attack of a weak man who thinks he can use money and power to cover for all of his crimes.’
In the wake of the alarming rate of rape cases in the country, Nigerian singer, Kcee has given his thoughts on the issue while dishing tips on what could curb rape.
He took to his social media page recently and gave 5 tips on how men can avoid raping any woman as he wrote,

Lanre Gentry, the ‘estranged’ husband of actress Mercy Aigbe is claiming she is back to his house, two years after their marital crisis and alleged battering became public knowledge.
Speaking to Sunday Scoop, Lanre said they’ve settled their issues outside the court and have also moved past it.
“We are not in court and we don’t have any issues (again). She is my wife and the court case is over. She is back to my house.”
However reacting to the claims made in the interview, Mercy Aigbe accused Lanre of being an Attention Seeker.

Part-Time Stripper and Birthday Boy, Tuoyo, shrugged off his emotional alter ego which was revealed after friday night’s games to bare it all on the dance floor as he didn’t fail to bring the life of the party. Mercy felt the signal of Tuoyo’s energy and she proceeded to serve “Pepper” with explicit dance moves that left viewers jaw dropped.
Mercy’s love Interest, was visibly upset by that action and later on went to air his mind to Tuoyo and it appeared the two had a MOU as the shook hands and hugged the hate away.

All in all, the mood in the House is one filled with optimism for the coming week and Eviction lurking. Although Seyi has an air of uncertainty around him as he questions his decision not to use his Veto Power to save himself. Mike on his part, is looking forward to the verdict.

The Rapid Response Squad (RRS) were right on time to stop Timi Dakolo and his wife, Busola from being taken by armed policemen to Abuja over allegations of criminal conspiracy, falsehood, mischief and threat to life.

Nigerian singer, DAVIDO has been dragged to a Lagos State Magistrate Court over an alleged fraud of N4, 000,000.00 (Four Million Naira).
The matter which came up for mentioning on the 23rd of May, 2019 as No 16 on the case list at Magistrate Court 2 Igbosere. Listed as Defendants in the suit marked MCL/702/19 are: David Adedeji Adeleke (Davido) – his Personal Assistant: Busari Idris Temitiope (Alias Aloma) and; Davido Music Worldwide Limited music label.
When the matter was called, none of the Defendants, including Davido was in Court, neither were they represented by their lawyers. Counsel to the Claimant Alabh George Turnah, (MON) informed the Court that the Defendants according to the bailiff of the Court, refused to accept service of the originating processes and pleaded the Court for an order for substituted service, which the Court granted.
Investigation revealed that Davido and his Personal Assistant are been sued for fraudulently obtaining the sum of N4, 000,000.00 only from an American based Nigerian born upcoming artist Andre- Tejiri Ochuko Ibhihwiori In the label of Always on Cash Records. Court papers revealed that Davido and his management collected the money as fee to feature in a musical collabo with artist Tjay sometime in January, 2019 but have since then failed to either make himself available for the music collabo or refund the money.
It is not clear how Davido and his handlers will deal with this matter, whether to go into full litigation or seek out of Court settlement with the Claimant who is already asking for 15% interest on the principal sum of N4,000,000.00 from the date of payment to any date that the sum is finally liquidated. This may turn out another Innoson and GTB episode should the talented singer and his team miss-handle the minor.
It is also suggested in certain quarters that this matter of fraud is capable of tainting the image of the singer and affect his credibility in the industry if not properly handled. Feelers from amongst industry players also suggests that Davido may be on his own in this matter as a number of his colleagues and associates who learnt of the Court case today and spoke to our correspondence on condition of anonymity expressed shock and sadness that Davido could engage in such petty fraud against an upcoming artist. Efforts to get to Davido and his management were unsuccessful as calls put through to their mobile phones rang out endlessly without been answered.
The case was however adjourned to the ”23rd of august 2019” for report of service and commencement of trial.
In the late hours of Saturday in Big Brother Naija House, a wild drama ensued after the customary Party concluded as Tacha had a fight with Mike and Omashola after the party.
Apparently, Tacha’s anger was because the guys got drunk before the girls at the party, which Mike shrugged off at first. The fight however took a different turn after Tacha pushed Mike, called him names and also dragged in Omashola.

Prior to the near-poisoning, they had engaged in a fight that was settled by the school’s porter. Another fight however ensued today, after the victim of the sniper-poisoning fell sick and couldn’t tidy up her corner at the Mozambique Hall hostel.
A heated argument between them, led to pouring of sniper in the mouth of the sick student who has been rushed to the OAU Teaching Hospital.

The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) has revealed the identity of the man who climbed on the wings of an Azman Aircraft, waiting for clearance from Air Traffic Controllers at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport (MMIA) in Lagos.
The man said to be a Nigerian, was identified as Mr Usman Adamu and he reportedly lives in Iyana Ipaja area of Lagos State.
Breifing journalists on Saturday in Kano, the Managing Director, Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN), Captain Rabiu Yadudu said the stowaway is currently in custody of the Airport Police Command over the incident considered a serious security breach, and also led to the indefinite suspension of four Aviation Security unit heads.
“The suspect identified as Usman Adamu, a Nigerien in origin and who claimed to reside in Iyana Ipaja, on the 19th of July was reported to have appeared at the domestic end of the taxiway and attempted to gain access to the aircraft while it was taxying to the holding point.
“He was apprehended, detained and is currently with the Airport police command as our investigation progresses.
“The authority considers this incident a serious security breach and an air sight incursion, this is unfortunate and embarrassing.”

A Nigerian Lady who survived what could have been a fatal robbery attack has taken to her social media account to narrate how she survived.
According to the lady, the robber only came for her bag and left her with bullets stuck in her thighs and stomach. At first the hospital she was rushed to thought she had only bullets in her thighs, but as her blood pressure kept dropping, she went through an emergency surgery that removed the remaining bullet.

Big Brother Naija 2019 housemate, Mike has revealed he misses his beloved wife, Perri Shakes-Drayton.
Mike made this known during Saturday’s diary session with Biggie.

Ex-YBNL singer, Lyta, has openly apologized to his former boss, Olamide and pleaded with him to forgive him.
According to him, he is regretting his action and was left with no choice but beg for his forgiveness in public.

Ghanaian Actress, Vicky Zugah has finally apologized and reconciled with the woman that cursed her 10 years ago, for snatching her husband after several warnings.
