Nollywood actress, Tonto Dikeh in her interview with Plus TV, revealed that some Nollywood movie producers pirate their own movies for quick money.
Revealing that some Nollywood movie producers pirate their own movies for quick money, Tonto Dikeh said in the interview;
“It is so deep that the truth is, it is these same producers, directors, marketers that are now the ones pirating their own movies. There was a time i overheard a conversation between producers saying instead of ‘me losing out, let me go and pirate my movies myself so i can cash out myself if i don’t make enough from the original copies’.
See, the pirates on the streets, we sell the access to them from the inside, so if we are fighting corruption, we need to fight it from the inside first. If we can stop this from inside, the ones outside too will stop. The ones doing it to themselves need to stop, you can’t be fighting what you are instigating”
Speaking further, she said “Nollywood is in a good place but it can be in a better place if it has sponsors, more commitment, more cash, more commitment, more support.”
On her sudden disappearance from the movie industry, she said “I haven’t retired, the truth is I have played every role there is. There isn’t much challenge anymore.
I have about just two or three movies that make go wow, I want to be in this. There is no action, no adrenaline rush when watching Nollywood movies, it is just the same pictures, stories, scenes, environment, we don’t have location“
She further said “Different things actually come into place on why I haven’t been on the screen today, I haven’t found the perfect script that I want to act in.
“I want to watch a movie i star in and hear my voice and not know it is my voice..we need to train ourselves and be more and i think I am one of the few people that have attained that more….”
When asked why she isn’t producing her own movies to prove that she is indeed not in the league of the modern Nollywood producers, Tonto Dikeh said “Producing is not something i love, it is not for everybody, i am more good in acting but producing is not my thing but Geneveive Nnaji has made me understand that now with Lion heart.”

At a point I have to ask Angela Nkwo-Akpolu to leave to save her from further heat. We walked past the metal detector that what was not in use due to absence of electricity. The departure hall was in darkness and people had to sit outside and some actually sat on the edge of the tarmac.
When the Air Peace flight scheduled to take off from Owerri at 5pm arrived Owerri at about 5.45pm, people who were already outside on the tarmac refused to go back to the Departure Hall in order for their tickets to be checked before boarding.

I don’t like it when people say You have to build a man from ground to the top. Building a man is not really the problem but forgetting ur self while building him is the problem, you must always understand that u also have some growth to do too
Oh yes u can Support him, You can Encourage him, But don’t you ever forget that u are the first priority. You have a lot of work to do on ur self. Focusing on him than your self is so wrong. Now Focus on the woman u planned to become, If you continue to focus on him alone. You will be broken and might regret it later Cos u we’re busy building some1 else
For Everyone story that was A success, I can show you a thousand more Where there was a damage ,hurt, And disappointment . Some men will ask their wives not to work, That he will provide everything. When things start getting bad, He will not understand it’s a phase That will pass. He will turn around and say the woman is a witch that made him broke forgetting he practically asked her not to work, no supporting hand, Blaming her for being broke, Women don’t ever agree to that
Women are help mate we know, But that Doesn’t mean she should kill ur self, Help him grow but don’t forget u are the first priority. U should be able to do some things on ur own too without u calling yoursweetheart all the time for help. You can build an empire together. If u both are growing I don’t know who needs to hear this . Cheers ? to the weekend
NLC president, Ayuba Wabba, has stated that Nigerian workers would not accept anything less than the N30,000 minimum wage from state governors.
Wabba said this at the NLC delegate conference in Ado Ekiti, the Ekiti State capital, on Thursday April 25th.
Speaking at the conference, Wabba whose speech was read by an ex-officio of the congress, Maureen Onyia-Ekwuazi, said the new minimum wage has become binding, having been signed into law by President Buhari. He stressed that the Congress would not take anything short of N30,000 as minimum wage from state governors since it has become a right.
“Once the minimum wage bill had been signed by President Buhari, it has become a law and we won’t allow any governor to circumvent the law. What we asked for was a living wage and we can’t allow anybody to shortchange our members,” he said.
This is coming after the President Buhari signed the bill for the new minimum wage into law last week. Some Governors have expressed worries of not being able to pay the new minimum wage.

A quite lovely looking mother decided to get lip fillers on her already perfect lip but the outcome of the procedure was so horrible that her friend puked upon seeing it.
29-year-old Christina Burton was left with horrific “sausage lips” and had to be rushed to hospital after her lips continued to swell and made her unable to breathe properly.
The mum-of-two used numbing cream before the £75 procedure was administered at her home in Wythenshawe, Greater Manchester. The beautician reportedly reassured her that swelling was normal but hours after having the 1ml of filler, she had to be rushed to hospital to receive adrenaline, oxygen and steroids.
She said she feared she could have died during the botched procedure which she said left her looking like a “duck gone wrong”.
She said,
They looked like sausages on my face, I looked like a duck gone wrong.
My lips kept getting bigger and bigger and more painful. I thought my lips were going to explode, the pain was unreal.
I couldn’t swallow anything. I tried taking antihistamines and painkillers to help with the swelling and I had an ice lolly to keep them cool but they just got out of control.
As soon as they put the cream on I just knew something wasn’t right, my lips were tingling and felt like they were swelling up straight away.
When you have numbing cream on it does feel like it’s swollen because it’s numb.
That time I just felt something wasn’t right – my lips were swelling straight away and I was in pain, which I never usually am.
After she left I looked in the mirror and saw they were swollen, my throat was numb and I started struggling to swallow.
The swelling was that bad it went up into my nose and it closed my throat and nose. I was struggling to breathe.
When it got to that point I had to phone an ambulance.
An ambulance crew raced to her home and they gave her adrenaline and put her on oxygen and rushed her to Wythenshawe Hospital, where staff gave her steroids and drugs and kept her in overnight for monitoring.
She added,
“The hospital nurses couldn’t believe how badly swollen my lips and the skin between my nose and lips were.
“The pain felt like they were going to explode, it felt like when something has its own pulse.
“I couldn’t open my mouth because my lips were that heavy, it was scary.”
The stay-at-home mum says her friends were in shock when she sent them photos of her new lips and one friend even threw up in shock.
Christina had the botched lip filler procedure done in September and her lips are now back to normal. But she has urged people to do their research before they undergo cosmetic procedures.

A source close to West told PEOPLE: “He is extremely passionate about his faith and wants to share it more regularly with people. He spends a lot of time studying and praying, and wants to share his journey.”
The source went on to explain, “Say what you want about Kanye, but he really does want to help people who need support. He understands brokenness and the need for healing, probably more than most people. He believes in the healing powers of music, but also believes that God can step in and heal people’s brokenness and their issues.”
The insider said West has “talked about starting his own church, and what exactly that would be,” adding, “It wouldn’t be the traditional, 3-hymns-and-a-sermon thing. We originally wanted to have our wedding during the month of Ramadan on a Monday on the Island with just our parents and 3 friends each, because we believe that being private cuts away as much negativity as possible and I also believe that evil eye is real (call me old school dun care)
Lol but that was a battle we couldn’t win, what would happen to all the aunties that used to send me money when I was broke? The neighbor that had to baby sit me and change my diaper when my mum was not home, My favorite cousins that used to help me eat my Eba when I was young so that I would not get into trouble for not finishing my food? The friends that we read for exams together and I passed because of them ? The friends that helped me submit assignment when I couldn’t go to class for one reason or the other? The aunties that always give me their baff ups so I could slay at events? The aunties that used to take me to birthday parties when I was young? The aunty that bought me my first body spray and diary?
How were they supposed to miss my big day? It took a long time for me to accept that they were supposed to share this joyous day with usbut by the time I did, it was already too late for me to properly plan a wedding, so we started doing wuru wuru.
Initially I wanted every vendor to be a family member or a friend or at least someone I knew but I had to mix old and new all together .

And she was too pleasant, I had a surprise in the middle of the make up and used tears to almost scatter the whole thing but she was just there smiling, like as if she was already expecting it

Confessing to the crime, Onyedika who is a 400-level undergraduate of the UNN said he participated in robbery not kidnapping and was reportedly dragged into the crime by Sunday, said to be a 500-level student of the same institution.
He said, “Sunday told me that he wanted to start a business while in school and begged me to accompany him to his brother’s house in Minna to rob him, stating that his brother will not give him the money otherwise, and I accompanied him.
“I don’t know what pushed me to this act. I never knew that my friend had a different thing in mind. To be sincere, I followed him to rob his brother not to kidnap his son. I have disappointed my late father; I don’t have reasons to get involved in this mess I found myself. How can I face my poor widow mother after disappointing her? I have ruined my life.”
The state police command’s Public Relations Officer, Muhammad Abubakar who confirmed the incident, said that the suspect would be charged to court after investigation.
