In new reports, no fewer that ten people have been reported injured after a one-storey building collapsed in the Oshodi area of Lagos State on Sunday.
The building collapsed today June 23, at No 35, Adesanya Street, Mafoluku area of Oshodi – the Director-General of the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA), Oke Osanyintolu, confirmed the news and blamed the collapse on poor maintenance, adding that integrity tests will be carried out on adjacent buildings to ascertain their suitability and durability.
According to him, no death was recorded and occupants have been evacuated as the building is expected to be pulled down to ensure the safety of people living in the area.
Emzy Ned Nwoko, the stepson of newly wed Nollywood actress, Regina Daniels has accused the actress of using voodoo on his father, Ned Nwoko.
The actress who has been buzzing on social media for weeks now, shared a picture on her Instagram and captioned it,

A Popular Ebonyi-based Pastor, Rev. Simeon Ononogbu, has blamed “deceitful” spirit for the failed prediction that the Super Falcons will reach the semi-finals of the FIFA Women World Cup in France.
Ononogbu, a self-acclaimed forecaster, predicated in an interview that the Falcons would reach the semi-finals of the tournament, while the hosts, France would place fifth (best placed quarter-finalists).
The former Secretary of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Ebonyi branch, sought the understanding of Nigerians on the failed prophecy, noting that he will be more careful in future prophecies.
“It is a pity that the prediction on the Falcons failed which means that it was not a revelation from God.
“We have so many spirits that can deceive people and if we are not careful, we will make mistakes such as this,” he said.
He said that several spirits abound which behaved like God’s spirit to talk and deceive men of God.
“The bible says that some spirits at times, transform into angels of light to talk to us.
“We have “fallen’’ spirits that deceive the children of God because we are humans and weaker than the other spirits,” he said.
Ononogbu, however, revealed that the prophecy on the Falcons could also have failed because he failed to interpret the revelation properly.
“At times when we don’t interpret properly, we will have problems out of it and this can also be seen as a wrong interpretation,” he said.
He, however, insisted that in spite of the failed prophecy, the revelation of France placing fifth in the tournament still stands because it is from God.
“This particular interpretation was clearer than that of the Falcons and we should wait till the end of the competition for its fulfillment,” he said.
Ononogbu, urged Nigerians not to judge him with the failed prophecy as he had correctly made eight-significant prophecies which were fulfilled.
“I earlier predicted the visit of Rev, Uma Ukpai to Ebonyi and those who refused to heed the directive on the venue saw the number of people that died,” he said.
The Unified world heavyweight champion Andy Ruiz Jr has claimed Anthony Joshua is “not good at boxing” and vowed to land another victory when they fight again.
Ruiz, 29, stunned Joshua to win the IBF, WBA and WBO titles on June 1st and is under contract to take a rematch. The rematch has been scheduled for later this year.

A newly married woman has been accused of injecting her husband with rat poison in Kaduna State.
A Facebook user, Masur Salihu, who shared the story online, said the woman was allegedly advised by her friends to kill her husband so they can connect her with a wealthy man in Abuja. He wrote
“Another newly wed injected her husband with rat poison on the advise of bad friends who wanted her to join them in abuja where they promised to fix her with a wealthy man. The husband is receiving treatment @ teaching hospital in Jos. Allah ya kyauta”.
Nigerian Super Falcons players staged a sit-in protest last night, refusing to leave their hotel in France until all of their outstanding bonuses are paid, following the team’s elimination from the Women’s World Cup.
The players told ESPN they are owed bonuses from two games, against Gambia and Senegal, from as far back as two years ago, amounting to 2 million Nigerian naira (about $5,600 U.S.), but they have been paid only half of that. They also say they are owed five days of daily allowance while at the World Cup.
“They paid us 1 million [naira] and said that is all. We want them to pay the balance. Part of that money is from two years ago, the other is from three years ago. And they are also owing us five days’ daily allowance here in France.
Before the World Cup, we asked them for a meeting so that we could discuss our World Cup bonuses, like they did with the men’s team last year. They ignored the letter and nobody said anything about it until now” one player told ESPN.
The players are also demanding their share of the World Cup participation fee from FIFA, even though the tournament’s organisers are not scheduled to pay those until September.
Nigeria Football Federation president Amaju Pinnick told ESPN that all the outstanding allowances have been paid. “We have paid them everything they are being owed,” he said.
“The only thing outstanding is the participation fee from FIFA, which is not expected to come until after the tournament. But they insist that they want to get paid, as they have spoken to players from Cameroon and France, who told them they have already been paid.”
It is not the first time Nigeria’s women team has staged a protest over bonuses. After winning the 2016 African title in Cameroon, the squad returned home and staged a public demonstration on the streets of the capital, Abuja, to demand payment of their outstanding allowances.
In 2004, the team also sat in for three days at their hotel in South Africa after winning the African title until the allowances were settled.

Hanan, the lady who brutally stabbed her husband, Saeed Hussein at their home, 7 months after their wedding in Kano State has said she did so in self-defense.
According to her neighbors, Hanan who was found with a swollen face and bruises all over her body, had been tolerating her husband who allegedly tortured her at the slightest opportunity.
Another neighbor stated that Hanan said her husband tried beating her up on the day of the incident despite knowing that she was pregnant.
She said it was while she was protecting herself as her husband tried attacking her with a knife, that it mistakenly pierced into his body.
Hussain was rushed to the hospital after the incident.

A Nigerian man is currently in critical condition at the Aminut Teaching Hospital in Kano State, after his wife allegedly stabbed him with a knife.
The man identified as Saeed Hussain was rushed to the hospital last night Friday June 21st after his wife of seven months, Hanan, allegedly stabbed him with a knife during a heated argument.
Hussain who is graduate of Law from the Bayero University in Kano syaye, got married to Hanan in December last year.
They had a misunderstanding in their home in Kano last night which degenerated into a fight. Hanan during the fight stabbed him in the face. She has since been arrested.
“I was just informed of the unfortunate incidence that happened to our friend and brother Saeed Hussain . He was stabbed with a knife by his wife Hanan last night. Pease include him in your prayers. He is presently receiving medical treatment at Aminu Kano Teaching Hospital.”

One Prophet Jacob Ade Farinmade, the head of Celestial Church of Christ, Gospec Mission, Mosan, Ipaja, Lagos, has been arrested for allegedly killing a female undergraduate he impregnated.
The 72-year-old suspect allegedly secretly buried Bunmi after she died during childbirth and he didn’t inform her parents. The deceased was said to have been taken by her father to live with her mother, following her rustication in 200 level at Babcock University in 2014.
Bunmi’s mother, Derayo Omisipi, thereafter took her to Farinmade for spiritual deliverance and protection.
According to The Nation, the cleric, who already had more than 10 wives, took advantage of Bunmi’s stay in his church for the purported deliverance, to lure her to bed and impregnated her.
It was learnt that the cleric did not allow the deceased to attend any antenatal clinic throughout the duration of her pregnancy. The cleric onlybroke the news of the girl’s death to her mother after he had buried her in a shallow grave near his church premises.
The father of the deceased became curious after her mother could not offer satisfactory explanation about her whereabouts. He later reported the matter to the police and the cleric was arrested.
