Adams Oshiomhole shares

Oshiomhole who spoke at the Founders Day and Launching of Endowment fund of the University of Bénin Teaching Hospital (UBTH) revealed he would have sued the doctors if it were in another terrain because his wife was a victim of quack medical doctors.

Oshiomhole said,

“You visit a hospital, one doctor is gynaecologist, psychologist, pediatric, and the doctor treats everything. My wife was unfortunate to have been diagnosed as having something different while the cancer in her breast was growing.

Speaking at the event, the Principal Consultant, Sharry Moore Strategic Konsult, Ipoade Omilaju, noted that aside its mandate to ensure personal hygiene, sensitize Nigerians on potable water, it had launched the campaign to support Musa for his humility and commitment.

“Our position is whether he gave away the house for construction of boreholes for his community or not; the fact remains that he has won for himself a good name through his commitment and uprightness as a gateman for 25 years leading to access of improved water source for the people of Giljimmi in Birniwa LG of Jigawa State,” Omilaju said.

While the international organisation demanded N1,000 each from at least 100,000 Nigerians, his Indian employer, Varkey Verghese, at the campaign, instantly donated N500,000 on behalf of 500 Nigerians.

According to Omilaju, “this campaign is to show the world that we are good people who appreciate commitment, sincerity and selflessness. We therefore call on 100,000 Nigerians to give just N1,000 and collectively we give Musa and family a befitting shelter.”

Dencia Defends Carpenter Caught with ‘Charms buried’ In His Shop

Dencia Defends Carpenter

A viral video showing a man burying fetish items in his shop in order to attract more customers has sparked a debate on social media with a cross-section of users defending the act.

The Video also caught the attention of Cameroonian Singer and Entrepreneur, who also defended his actions hinting that people were ignorant and being hypocritical in matters of African traditional worship.

Dencia

A popular twitter user who shared his thoughts on the issue wrote ;

This is a carpenter who, according to the news, was caught with “charms” buried in his own shop.

I have a few questions. You’re not obliged to answer, but these are questions I had in my head when I saw this video.

1) has he committed any crime by doing this?

2) if his intentions were to attract customers to his shop or business, what is the difference between what he has done and someone who mounts a rosary or an image of a God on his wall to attract and hope and pray for his or her business to grow and attract customers?

3) what’s the difference between what the carpenter did and those who use anointed handkerchiefs to cure ailments, raise the dead, heal the sick and hope to prosper?

4) if this carpenter believes that this “charm” will make his enemies fall and die, what is the difference between his belief and those who hold on to their religious books or symbols and they pray for their enemies to fall and die?

6) if you sue this carpenter to any court of competent jurisdiction, for allegedly possessing charms, will you successfully get a conviction?

In her reaction to the Gist, Dencia wrote ;

Y’all walk into Asian restaurants, nail shops, Hispanic ones with all type of juju looking things in front. They even feed these things but I don’t see y’all complaining about it. Let people believe in what they believe.

Any one that supports Yahoo (Internet fraud) business needs to take his or her brain for check up and cleansing! How on earth will a sane person support daylight criminality. These fraudsters have demonized Nigeria and Nigerians! Our young entrepreneurs have lost business deals due to the activities of these Yahoo boys, our younger ones can’t even get Visas to visit countries offering them business opportunities. ‘Nigerians are afraid of having proper sex’ – Therapist, Adunni says

Therapist Adunni says

Nigerian Sex therapist, Adunni has posted an insightful topic on her social media giving reasons why Nigerians are afraid of having proper sex.

Her post reads ;

Nigerians are afraid of having proper sex, in my Scope of work as a Sex therapist, I see these things daily and I’m scared for the future… why is it hard for Nigerian men to please their women? Why can’t you eat your wife out and stuff, why do women think for them to be wife materials you shouldn’t fuck your husband real good, why would you think to give your husband a mind blowing blowjob followed by a badtass doggie will not make u a wife material.

The men are also guilty of this hence they wife the lady who isn’t sexually satisfying and keep numerous girl friends then the moment you both are Comfortably married, the man moves on to start having numerous girls friends then years down the line the woman realizes how sexually frustrated she is and might start having flings too.

In this case i gotta agree with marrying your friend though because if you guys can be plain with one another and honest about sexual wants and needs then your relationship will blossom.

Angry man storms mosque and destroys its loudspeakers for keeping him up every night

Angry man storms mosque

A man in Indonesia has been arrested on suspicion of terrorizing a mosque and destroying its public address system, an action that was allegedly motivated by his frustration at the mosque for disturbing his sleep during the holy month of Ramadan.

During Ramadan, the mosque holds tadarus (Quran recital) sessions, which it broadcasts using its loudspeakers, late every night and often into the morning.

On Sunday at around 3am, the man who lives close to the mosque, stormed the mosque during a tadarus session while holding a machete, scaring the congregation out of the mosque, before destroying the mosque’s loudspeakers.

When he was apprehended, NS told the authorities he snapped after days of being kept up by the mosque’s late night activities.

“We are still questioning the suspect,” Meulaboh Police Chief Budi Eka Putra said when asked by reporters about updates on the case yesterday.

“He fought a real war” – Therapist reveals late Akachi asked him for help

Therapist reveals late Akachi

A Nigerian Psychologist, Ofe di Oku, has revealed the struggles the late Akachi faced and how he sought help before he unfortunately took his own life.

Mr. Oku took to facebook to share ;

“People don’t just wake up in the morning and commit suicide. One hardly find such in story rails. Suicide is a deliberate planned act. It’s a sort of last resort especially to people suffering depressions and other forms of psychopathologies.

Most people that commit suicide have already planned out how to achieve this aim, where and when it should be carried out. Some give no chance for help till is carried out.
Here in UNN, by miracle I meet them in hidden places and at a specific time. Vet mountain, social science quadrangles, those buildings on your way to green house, some exculded parts of stadiums. Mostly by 12pm, 2am, 3pm, 10-11am, and at the wee hours of the morning.

In my second year I met a handful of them. This is because I always go home from 12am-5am, sometimes I go to morning mass at St. Peter’s very early by 4am, some other times I go to midnight prayers at lawn tennis court or visit the vet mountains for other needs mostly during the mid hours of the day. I met some in tears and others in a sober mood.

I’ve a fellow survivor that told me, I planned dying on my graduation day at a specific hour in a specific location. I’ve to employ the aid of Dr. Amah Benedicta and now she’s doing well.

Why did I write this. Human beings are delicate beings. No matter how much strong you claim to be, one thing must break you and your way of coping might not be your neighbors way of coping.

We have diverse ways of coping with stress and emotions. We all don’t have strong and healthy coping and emotion regulating mechanisms. Help those with faulty coping strategies. Be of help to them, don’t criticize them, don’t tell them where they should and should not be.
Goodnight”

Ibadan ‘Yahoo boys’ unleash dog on EFCC operatives.

Detectives from the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Ibadan zonal office got a dose of ‘corruption fighting back’ on Wednesday, when suspected internet criminals unleashed an attack dog on them in order to resist arrest.

Upon receipt of intelligence reports and launch of preliminary investigations into their illegal activities, officers of the commission in the early hours of Thursday stormed the suspects’ hideout at Agara area of Ibadan.

Instead of allowing them in, after proper introduction, one of the suspects instructed the guard to release the attack dog on the operatives. The trick, however, failed to work as it instead, made the detectives display their dexterity and professionalism.

They were able to dislodge the dangerous dog, carry out extensive search on the apartment and effect arrest of the suspects. Again, out of desperation to conceal useful information that could help the Commission in their investigation, one of the suspects smashed his android phone with the intention to destroy the gadget and deny access to the data therein.

The attempt equally failed as the operatives took possession of the broken phone, which is currently with the forensic unit, where analysis is being carried out to obtain data from it.

The second-in-command to the zonal head, Bright Igeleke, who led the operation, described the experience as part of the ‘hazards of the job’.

Suspects arrested in the operation are: Paul Afolabi, Balogun Ibrahim Adebayo, Izu Ibobo Chukwunalu, Abe Tolulope, Onifade Gidion Idowu, Komolafe Tosin and Igwe Kinsley Otuu. Similarly, operatives from the zone had earlier arrested four other suspects over their alleged involvement in cyber-related offences.

The suspects are: Adebisi Adewale Michael and Olowolayemo Olakunle Quddus, Opaaje Oluwatobi Isiah and Itowe Kelvin Olutayo. They are now under interrogation, and are giving useful information to the operatives in the quest to unravel the extent of their illegal activities.

Information obtained from them so far reveals that they used the internet to defraud unsuspecting victims while posing online as white ladies and foreign military officers. At the point of their arrest, a Lexus car, iPhones, other brands of phones and International Passports were recovered from them. All the arrested suspects will be charged to court as soon as investigations are concluded.

“Stop corrupting our men with bribes” – FRSC warns Nigerian motorists

The Federal Road Safety Corps, FRSC has warned motorists to stop corrupting their officials with bribe – the newly deployed Zonal Commander, Assistant Corps Marshall, Imoh Etuk gave the warning in an interview with newsmen when he paid a familiarization visit to the Bauchi Sector Command of the FRSC.

FRSC warns Nigerian motorists

He said the warning became necessary because bribes corrupt the men of the Corps and portray the FRSC in a bad light.

In his own words,

“I charged them to be more visible on the highway, to eschew all forms of corruption and to ensure that issues of overloading are nipped in the bud. Just yesterday (Tuesday), the Vice President (Yemi Osinbajo) said nobody should give bribe to any officer, to Police and so on.

“I’m also saying that don’t bribe our men. Do the needful. You don’t need to be bribing our people, do the needful and you’ll not run foul of the law. It is when you are deficient that you’ll want to use money.

“Don’t use money to do anything because the anti-corruption squad of the Corps will go out to ensure that these things are properly monitored. I am warning them to obey the traffic rules rather than using money especially during this Ramadan.”

Speaking on the Bauchi-Jos and Bauchi-Gombe roads that have become death traps with accidents occurring almost on a daily basis, he said he has charged the officers and men of the State sector Command that “the crashes on these roads and everywhere in the zone must be reduced to the barest minimum.

On the May 29th handing over, he said the three Sector Commands in the Zone have put up a strategic traffic control plan, adding that the Special Marshalls will do route-lining to ensure that the issue of congestion in the city is nipped in the bud.

Her words ;

“My boyfriend whom I met when I went to visit an uncle who was sponsoring my education. We had agreed to get married as soon as possible.

Then some people I regarded as friends started peddling wicked lies against me and without confirming if what they were saying was true or false, he called it quits just like that. They told him I had an incurable disease.

So, I decided to help myself because my parents cannot do anything for me. We are poor. My father used to be a driver but he is now unemployed while my mother is a full time housewife. Sometimes, she sells vegetables,”

“They were paying me GH¢150 a month and you work late hours. But if you go out to hustle in the night, you can get that kind of money within a day or two. About 600 men slept with me from last year to this year.”

But Nana is now singing a different tune. She said that she later discovered that prostitution is not as lucrative as she had thought.

She said that she is tired of warming men’s bed every night, adding that she wants to settle down.
