Ghanaian actress, Yvonne Nelson has schooled fellow Ghanaian actress Efia Odo on the existence of God. She gave the education on Twitter after Efia expressed her doubts about the Christian faith.
Efia Odo had not long ago, questioned the concept of God placing the tree which had the fruit of the knowledge of good and evil within the reach of man, which she says makes no sense to her.
In her own words,
“If God didn’t want us to eat the apple from that tree, then why did He put the tree there in the first place?
Pastor -to test my faith.
So would u put fire by an innocent child and tell them not to touch it, stand afar and say you’re testing their faith?”, Efia Odo wrote.
In reaction to Efia’s stance, Yvonne Nelson explained that God’s existence is real as she’s felt Him before. She wrote,
“His ways arent our ways. We will never understand HIM, He made us and gave us a simple command, but we failed Him. We are only human. He understands..He loves us daily still. In all our sins and dirt! Chaa, Hes real ooo. Its all real. Ive felt Him so i know!”

A former student of Makerere University Business School, Arthur Basalirwa, posted a screenshot from a WhatsApp chat, dedicated to a one ‘D” – the screenshot reads,
“Hi D. You will always ask yourself if you had sent me a more meaningful text. These are your last words to me. Goodbye D.”
Judging from the screenshots of the WhatsApp chat he shared, Basalirwa seemed to have undergone a rough breakup with his girlfriend – his friends say that he was planning his marriage, after visiting his fiance’s parents at a traditional Kukyala ceremony.
Hours before that, Basalirwa posted to his Whatsapp a status note saying;
“I am sorry but it’s too late, I’m sorry, too much weighing on me I don’t wanna live to see another day.”
However, these cries for help went unnoticed, with only a simple ‘bambi’ as a comment from one of his friends, until hours later when others learnt about his sudden death.
It is however not yet clear how Basalirwa ended his life, but friends have taken to Facebook to pay tribute to him.
Fathil Ali Amutuhaire wrote,
“R.I.P Arthur. It has taken me a while to believe he is gone. I wish I had read this sign. I ain’t relenting. This ain’t yielding. The grief, the shock… I’m not even sure if my words are making sense… I saw myself in the slithering darkness, the lull of sleep, the memes, how can you kill pain that is only felt? How can you fight something you can’t see?”
Basalirwa’s friends have taken to Facebook to share photos from his burial while mourning his death.
Former presidential aide, Reno Omokri has lamented at how poor people are the ones feeding their pastors today, unlike in the time of Jesus who fed the poor.
Taking to social media, Reno Omokri also touched on people enjoying Church entertainment at the expense of being enlightened.
“Sadly, many people are entertained in churches but they think they are being enlightened. It breaks my heart to say it, but it seems the lives being transformed are the preachers’. Jesus fed the poor, but many of today’s poor feed their preachers. How can pastors live in opulent luxury while congregants live in excruciating poverty? Shepherds exist to care for sheep, not to be cared for by sheep. Jesus gave one instruction to Peter, His successor: “feed My sheep”. He didn’t say ‘be fed by My sheep’! Feed them physically and spiritually.”

Ghanaian actress, Efia Odo has stated that she believes in God but she doesn’t believe in the Bible. According to her, the book is man-made and full of fairy tales.
The actress made this known on Twitter where she questioned some of the stories written in the Bible
“In the Bible Adam, Eve, Cain,Abel were the only ones in the world. After Cain killed Abel he ran to the east of Eden. Genesis 4:17 it says Cain made love to his wife. He was in the east of Eden in Nod. So where did the WIFE come from if they were the only ones in the world?”, she asked.
A man waded into the discussion with some clarity to her question:
“The bible never explicitly says that these four where the only ones on earth. They had other siblings. the fact that Cain was afraid that someone would kill him for killing Abel signified that the world at the time was a close knit family. So Cain left his own people to wander”.
Efia Odo asked again: “Where is the wife coming from? The Wife of Cain? That’s my question.”
The man replied: “His sister. They married their sisters back in the day. The way the bible puts it before Cain killed Abel he might have already been married to his sister. Like I said earlier, everyone on the earth was related the reason why Cain was afraid that one of his brothers would avenge”.
The actress continued by insinuating that Africans need to return to the religion of their ancestors.
“I’m just trying to get out of this alluded system. Before religion was brought to North Africans and transcended to us west Africans, we had our own way of life and connecting to God. Before colonization we were spiritual people. We’ve lost our sense of spirituality.”
Descending heavily on the Bible, Efia stated that it is a fairy tale book which she doesn’t believe in.
*Smh y’all find excuses to believe these fairytales. Go ahead.
Well then tell the Christians that. They believe it’s actual things that happened and not just a faith building storybook.
I’m not an athiest dummy! I believe in God, PERIODT!
Believing in God is not the same as believing in the Bible. I believe in God
I believe in God not words written by man. Don’t care if your think they were inspired or not. Your belief and mine doesn’t have to be on the same. You believe in your God and imma believe in mine.”

Tonto Dikeh seem not to be done with the many shades she keeps throwing at her ex-husband, Churchill Oladunni.
Yesterday, she took to her page to write different cryptic posts which included the statement; “A worthless man is always a worthless man”.
This comes after he granted an interview ,debunking her claims that he squatted with her when they started dating.
He said: “You mean squatting? This is ridiculous. Before I met the Nollywood actress, Tonto Dikeh, I was already one of the most successful young millionaires in Africa.
I met her at a nightclub, during my brother’s birthday party in 2014 and it was about the same time I acquired the latest Benz cars. Three months after we met, she got pregnant.
I have never really stayed in Nigeria for too long, because I do business in Ghana, although I have an office at Ikoyi. She visited me in Ghana several times and when she broke the news of her pregnancy three months into the relationship, I decided to visit her in Nigeria. I had to visit her often, because she was carrying my child.
I have never squatted or lived with her and the only time we stayed together was after the birth of my son, which came with the approval of her parents, after I had completely satisfied the traditional requirements for her dowry.
I flew her to the United States to deliver my child in one of the best hospitals in America.
She stayed at my family house in London few months after delivery, before she returned to Nigeria. On her arrival, I had already prepared a well-furnished exquisite apartment for us – this was the first and only times we lived together until the divorce. We only lived together for six months.
Still on the issue of squatting, it will interest you to know that Tonto will never marry or date a man who lacks prospects or is unsuccessful. She likes to live the life. We broke up in 2016 at a house I newly acquired for my mother in Lekki, Lagos State.
Our marriage was plagued with several frivolous claims of falsity, ranging from domestic violence to false allegations and all what not. I never laid my hands on her. I have never done that in my life before. She made up those things to discredit my philanthropic works. I am from a proper disciplined Yoruba home.
