Bishop David Oyedepo has stated that marriage vows which people recite when they are tying the knot are a curse.
According to the cleric, making vows by saying “for better for worse” is tantamount to calling on curses on one’s head. Oyedepo also revealed that such marriage vows are unscriptural.

An Akwa Ibom couple are trending on social media after wedding photos of them in a tipper was shared online.
In the viral photos, the tipper can be seen decorated with the couple’s colour of the day. The couple was able to get into the tipper with the aid of a ladder. They took photos in the heavy-duty truck and so did their bridal party.
The photos were shared to the Facebook group, Akwa Ibom Political Forum and got lots of reactions.
The post did not say if the couple drove to their wedding venue in the tipper or if they only used it for picture purposes.
A pilot deliberately smashed a stolen plane into a club hosting a baby shower in a bid to kill his wife following a blazing row on Saturday, witnesses say.
Charl Viljoen was filmed flying the aircraft dangerously low as he menaced guests at the party in Botswana, according to horrified onlookers.
He then ploughed the plane directly into the building, killing himself in a huge fireball and destroying the clubhouse.
No one else is believed to have been hurt as panicked party-goers managed to evacuate just moments earlier.
Witnesses had noticed the plane circling perilously close to the building at Matsieng aerodrome near Gaborone, the capital of Botswana, just after sunset and rushed to get out.
Terrifying footage posted on social media shows the aircraft flying just feet above the ground moments before impact.
It’s believed that hours before the crash, Mr Viljoen, 38, had arrived uninvited to the party.
The South African then hit his wife Natasha during a blazing row, witnesses told local media.
A party-goer told The Citizen: “He had a fight with his wife there and he actually hit his wife, and everybody told him to f*** off because you don’t treat a woman like that.”
Viljoen is thought to have travelled 30 miles south to Sir Seretse Khama airport where he stole a twin-engined Beechcraft Super King Air B200 plane.
The dad-of-one then smashed the eight-seater aircraft into the clubhouse, which erupted in flames and destroyed 13 cars and an air traffic control tower.
‘UNINVITED GUEST’
Matsieng Flying Club confirmed that Viljoen arrived at a private function as an “uninvited guest”.
A statement added: “It is rumoured that the pilot was involved in a domestic dispute earlier in the afternoon.
“At approximately 18.15 the aircraft approached Matsieng aerodrome from the direction of Sir Seretse Khama airport and made a number of low-level flypasts from different directions past the club facilities next to the air traffic control tower.
“Matsieng Flying Club members sensed that the pilot might have had an ulterior motive at the time and ordered an immediate evacuation of the club premises by the approximately 60 people present.”
It’s alleged that Viljoen called a friend from the cockpit of the stolen plane to check that his wife was still at the party.
Just last week Viljoen, who worked for Kalahari Air Services, posted a picture of himself in his pilot’s uniform standing at the steps of a plane.
Dramatic footage of the aftermath of the crash shows flaming debris and plumes of thick black smoke – as well as a deflated children’s’ bouncy castle.
Viljoen was taken to nearby Deborah Retief Memorial Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
The country’s civil aviation authority has said it will investigate.

The police from Zone 2 Command has arrested a 48-year-old herbalist, Ibukun Moses, while attempting to sell human parts.
The body parts allegedly belong to a lady identified as Toyin who was brought to the herbalist for treatment but died of an undisclosed illness.
Immediately after her death, investigation revealed that the herbalist contacted her family to come and take her for burial. The family then agreed to bury her in a cemetery which the herbalist took them to.
However, after the burial was concluded, the herbalist returned to the cemetery to exhume her corpse, cut off her head, the two hands and some other vital organs.
Upon his arrest the suspect confessed to have done the act because he needed to sell the body parts to make money he needed.

Justice A.O. Otaluka of the FCT High Court, sitting in Apo on Wednesday, March 27, 2019, sentenced one Clement Joseph, a.k.a Dr Omale to 97 years prison term with no option of fine. He was first arraigned by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) on March 7, 2017 on a seven-count charge, bordering on conspiracy and obtaining money by false pretence to the tune of N5, 600, 000 (Five Million Six Million Naira) only.
He was sentenced to seven years imprisonment on the conspiracy charge and 15 years each on the rest of the six charges, totalling 97 years. The prison terms run concurrently, and he will, however, serve only 13 years, having been in custody for two years.
The convict is also make N5.6million (Five Million, Six Hundred Thousand) restitution to his victim, one Bola Akintola, following a plea by the prosecuting counsel Elizabeth Alabi.
The convict had defrauded Akintola of the said sum on the false pretence of having mystical power to deliver her from untimely death. The offence runs contrary to Section 8(a) and 1(3) of the Advance Fee Fraud and Other Related Offences Act 2006, and punishiable under Section 1(3) of the same Act.

Yesterday, there was chaos at the Abuja Church as traders who conduct business around the church’s surroundings arrived early in the morning to find their wares have been burnt.
The ministry, however, faulted the viral video and report online, which claimed that it was responsible for the ejection and burning of the traders’ valuables.

Super Eagles forward, Ahmed Musa has reportedly given a street cleaner in Asaba a sum of N250,000.
According to reports, the woman had come around the Super Eagles Camp in Delta State in search of a menial job of N3,000.
It was gathered that after one of their training sessions, Ahmed Musa spotted a 3-year-old boy with his mother and picked him up before taking him into the team bus.
He later beckoned on the boy’s mother and reportedly had an interaction with her before collecting her details.

The family of a man who died after controversial South African based prophet, Pastor Alph Lukau allegedly healed him of HIV, has come forward to blast the cleric for the man’s death.
Nomthandazo Ndaba said her brother, Zakhele, stopped taking his HIV medication after Pastor Alph Lukau laid his hands on him.
According to Ndaba, her late brother was a ‘staunch follower’ of Lukau’s Alleluia Ministries Church which he joined in 2016. She added that even when Zakhele was sick, he would attend every service, not skipping one.
She went on to say that two months before his death, the family got a visit from home-based care workers who wanted to know why Zakhele was no longer showing up at the clinic to collect his medicine.
Despite being counselled and advised to take his medication, Zakhele refused to listen to the care-workers insisting that he had been cured. He died in December at the age of 34.
A video from the church supports the narrative as it shows Zakhele lying on a hospital bed with Pastor Lukau praying for him.
After the prayers, he starts walking around and a message appears which reads: “He’s healed of TB, diabetes and HIV.”
However, Alleluia Ministries International church’s spokesperson, Busi Gaca, denied that Zakhele had been healed saying,
At no stage does Pastor Lukau tell the man he’s healed. It’s rather his own testimony that he has received a miracle from God.

The national leadership of the All Progressives Congress (APC) on Wednesday reacted to the fate of the embattled Imo State Governor, Rochas Okorocha who was denied Certificate of Return by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
Rochas Okorocha who has since been placed on indefinite suspension by the Comrade Adams Oshiomhole-led National Working Committee won the senatorial election to represent Imo West senatorial district in the National Assembly but has been involved in the battle of wits to secure his Certificate of Return.
Findings revealed that the Commission’s action may not be unconnected with the startling revelation of its Returning Officer for the Imo West senatorial election, Professor Innocent Ibeawuchi, who alleged that he was forced to declare Governor Rochas Okorocha the winner of the poll by the supporters of the All Progressives Congress candidate.
Speaking with newsmen yesterday at an interactive session, the party spokesman declared that having been suspended, Governor Okorocha ceased to be a member of the ruling party.
He said:
“On the refusal of INEC to issue Certificate of Return to Governor of Imo state, Rochas Okorocha, who was announced the winner of the Imo West senatorial ticket, this party cannot take any action. Don’t forget that he is on suspension and as far as this party is concerned, that situation remains because there is no way we can say that somebody is on suspension and still go ahead to intervene in his case.
“In any case, he has not even come up to inform the party of his problem because he has realised that he is on suspension. Therefore, until it is vacated, the party will now step in to intervene as a party member who has a problem to resolve.”

Akure – A High Court sitting in Akure, the Ondo state capital Wednesday sentenced Saidu-Shakiru Adeyemi, the boyfriend of the daughter of the former state deputy governor Miss Khadijat Oluboyo to death by hanging.
Delivering judgement the trial Judge, Justice Samuel Bola said the prosecutor had proved the case of murder against the accused person beyond reasonable doubt.
Justice Bola said circumstantial evidence connected the accused to the gruesome murder of the deceased. ” The death of the deceased emanated from the injuries he sustained from the hands of the accused persons. ” It was the defendant that killed the deceased person and not any two mrn as he claimed. It was an attempt to cover up that he claimed that two men he invited to his room strangulated the deceased.

Passengers on a British Airways flight from London’s City Airport to Dusseldorf in Germany were left stunned when their plane landed and captain welcomed them all to Edinburgh, the capital of Scotland.
According to CNN, the travel error occurred as a result of an incorrectly filed flight plan, leading both the pilot and cabin crew to believe the flight was bound for Edinburgh.
The incorrect flight plan was said to have been filed at WDL Aviation’s offices in Germany. But after landing in Edinburgh, the captain subsequently apologized to the passengers, telling them the plane would refuel before heading to Germany.
In a statement, a spokesperson for British Airways said the airline was working with WDL Aviation “to establish why the incorrect flight plan was filed.”
“We have apologized to customers for this interruption to their journey and will be contacting them all individually,” the spokesperson said.
WDL Aviation said in a statement: “We are working closely with the authorities to investigate how the obviously unfortunate mix-up of flight schedules could occur. At no time has the safety of passengers been compromised. We flew the passengers on the flight with number BA3271 to Dusseldorf after the involuntary stopover in Edinburgh.”

21-year-old Cluam, who is still transitioning into a woman, claims that her lavish expenses are covered by three older, wealthy men – two overseas and one also living in Melbourne.
Her ‘daddies’ are so good to her, the 21-year-old told the Daily Mail that she now owns a three-bedroom house and two apartments in Melbourne.
She regularly shares dramatised versions of her life of luxury, airing her sugar baby experiences with her near-200,000 followers on YouTube – and she says her viewers love it.
“My popularity grew after I went public with the antics of my life as a sugar baby,” she said. “People seem to be both fascinated and entertained by what I have to share in regards to the life of luxury I lead and the mysterious men who support me.
“I keep [details about] my relationships away from my online presence, so the reality of who I’m dating, their job title and our arrangement details are kept secret, obviously for privacy reasons both ways.”
The 21-year-old, who is transitioning and is known as the pronouns she/her by everyone in her professional and personal life, believes that the reality of her life as a sugar baby is “mundane”.
