Delivery driver crashes into four Ferraris after ‘falling asleep at wheel’ landing him with £520,000 bill (Photos)

A young motorist has landed himself into big trouble after crashing into four parked Ferraris while working as a delivery driver in the New Taipei City in Northern Taiwan.

According to The Sun Uk, the 20-year-old identified only as Lin allegedly fell asleep at the wheel while delivering joss paper for his single mum’s business, causing over £500,000 worth of damage.

He claimed he was too tired to be behind the wheel when he crashed into three Ferrari 488s and a Ferrari F12 worth a combined £1.3milllion.

Lin who is from a poor background had promised to pay what he could, and vowing to “take responsibility” for his actions with the estimated repair bill fixed at £520,000.

It was also revealed by the publication that the New Taipei’s Department of Social Welfare have already gathered some 830 donations, totaling £135,000, to assist with covering the cost of the damage.

Helicopter crash: Pastor Adeboye holds Thanksgiving Service for Osinbajo

General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Enoch Adeboye, on Sunday morning led the congregation to thank God for saving the life of Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo in a helicopter crash in Kogi State yesterday.

He recalled that the word of prophecy came during the church’s Holy Ghost Service on Friday that no matter how hard the enemy would try there would be no mourning in our families this year.

“Would you please join me in thanking God that there is no mourning in our family this morning,” he said, inviting the congregation at the headquarters at the church at Ebute Metta, Lagos, and others who participated from various parishes of the church around the world to pray.

Pastor Adeboye holds Thanksgiving Service

On Friday night, he had said,

“The Lord has asked me to tell someone tonight that it doesn’t matter what the enemy might try there will be no mourning in your family this year.”

He had also called for prayers for the forthcoming general elections.

Calling for congregational prayers during his sermon, Adeboye said,

“Pray for mercy for Nigeria. Pray for mercy before the elections, pray for mercy during the elections and pray for massive mercy after the elections. Nigeria needs mercy.”

A lady, who has been dubbed as an “Oshodi slay queen” but has her real name as Anuoluwapo Iyanuoluwa Adeyemi, has reportedly been arrested for not returning a stolen iPhone despite receiving a N50k reward from the victim.

The victim, one Akinyemi Akin-Afuye while sharing a photo of Anuoluwapo Iyanuoluwa Adeyemi, revealed that she had initially demanded the sum of N100K, and was sent N50K, but still held on the phone despite pleas.

A teacher has been sentenced to death by hanging for raping a four-year-old student so badly that the toddler had to have her intestines realigned.

Mahendra Singh Gond is due to be hanged next month after he raped the child on June 30 last year in India’s Madhya Pradesh district.

He raped the girl so badly that he rearranged her insides, then he dumped her body in a jungle area, assuming she was dead.

A desperate search was launched, before the girl’s family found her with agonizing injuries and rushed her to hospital. Her injuries were so severe that she had to be airlifted to a Delhi hospital where she had an operation to realign her intestines, reports Times Now News.

Gond was arrested within hours of the horrific attack and he was convicted after the girl made a statement during her recovery.

Gond was sentenced to capital punishment on September 19 last year. He is due to be executed at 5am on March 2.

A rural middle school in South China awarded their top pupils with an unusual present for doing well in their exams.

The school which is located in the Xindong village in Fujian province presented a total of 30 top students with fresh fish last Monday for their excellent academic performance so that their families could enjoy a good meal during Chinese New Year, according to reports in China.

In a statement by the vice-principal of Nan’an Jiudu Middle School, he said teachers decided to offer fresh fish as an award this year as it was a symbol of luck and was ‘most practical’.

The vice-headmaster surname Lin, told Beijing News that,

‘We wanted to wish our students the best in the coming year and to reward them for doing well in their exams,’ Mr Lin said. ‘We also want parents more involved in their learning.’

Ritual killers of UNIOSUN 400 level student sentenced to death

The ritual killers who kidnapped and killed by butchering a UNIOSUN 400 level student, Oluwafemi Shonibare, have been sentenced to death.

An Osun state High Court has sentenced three persons to death for killing the student for money rituals.

Timileyin Sonibare, who was a 400 Level students the Osun State University, was killed on the 26th of June 2017, at Oke Baale area in Osogbo, while his head and arm were also cut off and roasted by the convicts.

In the two hours judgement delivered by Justice Kudirat Akano, the court said the prosecution has proved his case beyond reasonable duobt.

The convicts, AbdulRafiu Zakariyah, Yusuf Kareem and Ayuba Ibrahim had pleaded guilty to the offence of murder, conspiracy and misconduct with corpse levelled against them.

Former presidential candidate of the Allied Congress Party of Nigeria, ACPN, Oby Ezekwesili has officially resigned from the party.

Her resignation comes barely a week after she withdrew from the presidential race.

At a world press conference today, Ezekwesili who was a former minister of education, said she has returned ACPN membership card and all other items in her possession to the party.

Recall that shortly after her withdrawal from the race, the ACPN announced their support for President Buhari and accused her of using them to seek political relevance.

At the press conference, Ezekwesili said she was not surprised that the ACPN endorsed Buhari.

Their actions last week did not surprise me one bit. My relationship with the ACPN became problematic once they faced the reality of my modest financial means that I had transparently disclosed to them from the beginning. Their mistake was that they harboured two wrong assumptions about me.

First, they assumed that I was one of those who served in government and had a stash of looted public funds hidden somewhere to expend on the elections. When they realized that was not the case, they made a second wrong assumption by believing that I would be willing to go and obtain foreign cash to prosecute my campaign.’’ he said

Emiliano Sala’s father has reacted after the wreckage of the missing plane his son was travelling in was found nearly two weeks after it disappeared over the English Channel.

Horacio Sala described his anguish and disbelief after a search boat located the wreckage on the seabed of the English Channel on Sunday morning.

Mr Sala told Argentinian broadcaster Cronica TV:

I cannot believe it. This is a dream. A bad dream. I am desperate.

I communicated with them every day, but since I do not have WhatsApp it’s hard to call them or call me.

They told me that the days passed and there was no news of Emiliano or the plane.

Wreckage of the Piper Malibu carrying the missing Premier League footballer was found lying 220ft down on the bed of the English Channel.

It was found by a sea search vessel paid for by Sala’s family yesterday and a small submarine [ROV] with an HD camera confirmed it was the Piper Malibu that disappeared over the Channel Islands two weeks ago.

The photo of the wreckage was released by the Air Accident Investigation Branch today. They also revealed that a body – either Sala’s or pilot David Ibbotson’s – was found on board.

A middle-aged woman identified as Mrs Rebecca Oladosu, has died after her daughter in-law, Taye Lamidi, connived with one other, Basirat Lamidi, to pour hot water mixed with pepper on her.

According to the police, Basirat and Taye attacked the deceased on October 30th 2018, at her home in Okeyelu village, Ilie, in the Olorunda local government area of Osun State. The duo were arrested immediately the incident happened and have since been in and out of a magistrate court in Osun state.

At the resumed hearing of the case on Friday February 1st 2019, the police prosecutor, Inspector Muslim Jafani, told the court that Mrs Odusanya who had been in the hospital since the incident, had died.

Jafani then asked the court to strike out the previous charges levelled against the accused persons and substitute it with two new counts of felony and murder.

The new charges read in part,

“That you Basirat Lamidi and Taye Lamidi, and one other now at large, on October 30, 2018, around 1.30pm at Okeyelu village, Ilie, in the Osogbo Magisterial District, did conspire among yourselves to commit felony to wit; murder, thereby committing an offence contrary to and punishable under Section 516 of the Criminal Code, Vol. 34, Laws of Osun State of Nigeria, 2003.

“That you Basirat Lamidi and Taye Lamidi and one other now at large, on the same date, time and place in the aforementioned magisterial district, did cause the death of one Mrs Rebecca Oladosu by pouring hot water mixed with pepper on her body, thereby committing an offence contrary to and punishable under Section 316 of the Criminal Code Vol. 34, Laws of Osun State of Nigeria, 2003.”

The Magistrate, R. A. Olayemi, adjourned the case to March 21st 2019 and ordered that the accused be remanded in the custody of the Ilesa Prison pending an advice from the state’s Director of Public Prosecutions.

Nigerian entertainer cum politician, Banky W who is a candidate of the Modern Democratic Party (MDP), contesting for the Eti-Osa House of Representatives seat, has vowed to publish his earnings as a legislator if elected.

Banky W, made the announcement while he was speaking during a debate against four other candidates in Lagos on Monday, February 4, 2019 where he said accountability is one of the biggest problems in governance and hopes to lead from the front to change the situation.

The demonstration studio of the Mass Communication Department of Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka, Anambra State has been consumed by fire.

The cause of the fire, however, has not been disclosed by the university authorities. The fire outbreak took place in the early hours of Sunday. Bentina Matthias, the staff adviser for the Faculty of Social Sciences, the faculty housing the studio, said the fire burnt everything in the studio. There are speculations that it was caused by power surge.

Stella Okunna, the Dean of the faculty, noted that the Vice Chancellor visited the location of the incident and an investigation will be carried out to know the exact cause of the fire.

Francis Okeke, the officer in charge of Faculty of Social Sciences security unit, said the fire started at about 3:30am on Sunday, but he couldn’t tell exactly what caused the fire.

He added that the Investigation Department of the security unit were on it and would send a report to the Vice Chancellor.

“We cannot say exactly, because the place has not been in use for a long time. Uche Ebeze, Head of the Mass Communication Department, said there were many equipment in there but everything was consumed.”

He also stated that the unit would make recommendations to the Vice Chancellor to avert a recurrence, adding that a fire service department should be instituted to tackle such cases, regular servicing of fire extinguishers, as well as the use of iron instead of wood for roofs within the university.

Yemi Osinbajo, the Vice President of Nigeria a few day ago, escaped death after the helicopter he was in crash-landed in Kogi state.

According to Osinbajo while reacting to the crash, his father in the Lord, Pastor Adeboye, General Overseer had prayed for him the night before the ill-fated crash. Osinbajo revealed that he had gone to see the man of God at the Redemption Camp on Friday night and shared how Adeboye emphatically prayed for him for protection.

Osinbajo disclosed this at RCCG City of Grace, Lokoja, Kogi state during a thanksgiving service after his helicopter crash landed in Kabba on Saturday.

Young Man Gets Caught Inside Female Hostel In Kogi State University (Video)

It has been reported that a young man has been apprehended after being spotted in a female hostel at the Kogi State University in Anyigba area.

The shocking incident reportedly happened early this morning, February 4, 2019.

It was gathered that the suspect was allegedly trying to steal from the students inside the hostel before an alarm was raised and he was nabbed.

In a video, the female students can be heard shout ‘Ole’ (thief) as the suspect was brought out of their hostel by the school security and taken into their van.

Breaking: Body found in wreckage of plane carrying missing footballer, Emiliano Sala

One occupant of the plane carrying footballer Emiliano Sala and pilot David Ibbotson has been seen in the underwater wreckage.

A search on Sunday found the Piper Malibu plane on the seabed off Guernsey, almost two weeks after it went missing. The Air Accident Investigation Branch (AAIB) confirmed the sighting on Monday morning adding that it was now considering the next steps.

The “substantial amount of wreckage” of the plane, which went missing on January 21st, was found on Sunday morning after a privately-funded search was started. The flight was carrying Argentine striker Sala and pilot David Ibbotson from Nantes, north west France, to Cardiff after Sala completed his £15m move to Cardiff City.

In a statement the AAIB said: “the remotely operated vehicle (ROV) carried out a further search of the area overnight, but did not identify any additional pieces of wreckage. Tragically, in video footage from the ROV, one occupant is visible amidst the wreckage. The AAIB is now considering the next steps, in consultation with the families of the pilot and passenger, and the police.”

Oceanographer and marine scientist David Mearns confirmed the wreckage had been found on Sunday after “a couple of hours” of searching the seabed.

It is a sad time for the family members of a Microbiology graduate of the Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba-Akoko (AAUA) identified as Kemi Adeniran following her sad death.


It was gathered that the 2018 Batch ‘C’ Stream 2 corps member serving in Ibadan, Oyo State, died on Friday, in a motorcycle accident while heading home after the INEC training for 2019 general elections.

Many of her friends and family members have taken to social media to mourn her loss.

A seven-year-old boy has died after he was allegedly buried alive by his own parents for not knowing the Bible. Little Ethan Hauschultz was reportedly buried in ‘his own little coffin of snow’ while in the care of court-appointed guardians Timothy and Tina Hauschultz.

The couple are accused of dishing out sickening punishments to Ethan, including holding a 44-pound log for two hours every day for a week. The punishments were typically given when the boy failed to memorise versus from the Bible, according to police reports.

Timothy and Tina Hauschultz’s 15-year-old son is also alleged to have tortured the youngster, according to Newsweek, on one occasion, it is claimed he kicked and punched him at least 100 times, rolled a heavy log over his body and stood on his head while he was face-down in a puddle.

Medical reports show Ethan died in April last year from hypothermia and blunt force trauma to the head, abdomen and chest, and a fractured rib.It is not known exactly how the Hauschultzs are related to Ethan, but they are listed as his legal guardians, reports The Mail.

The couple’s teenage son has been charged with first-degree reckless homicide, while Timothy, 48, has been charged with felony murder and felony contributing to the delinquency of a child.Tina, 35, is charged with failing to prevent bodily harm and intentionally contributing to the delinquency of a child.

The 15-year-old boy told police that he was in charge of supervising Ethan and his twin, who were allegedly both being punished by carrying logs after failing to recite 13 Bible verses of Timothy’s choosing.

All three defendants are due to make their first court appearance today.
