Jose Mourinho ha“I did not answer, I did not argue. I paid and signed with the state that I am in compliance and the case is closed.”s accepted a 12-month prison sentence and a fine of close to €2.2 million after admitting to tax fraud in Madrid – but will not serve time in jail.
The former Red Devils coach was accused of evading paying in the region of €3.3m in taxes on image rights while he was head coach of Real Madrid.
The Portuguese will not spend any time in prison as the sentence is for less than two years.
In 2016, Mourinho’s representatives Gestifute released a statement insisting he was “fully compliant with tax obligations” after allegations of tax evasion first came to light via the whistleblowing platform ‘Football Leaks’’
However, he struck a deal with Spanish prosecutors last year, which was ratified at a court on Tuesday.
Mourinho was in charge of Madrid from 2010 until the end of the 2012-13 season. The offences were alleged to have been committed between 2011 and 2012.
It was reported last September that he had agreed to accept a one-year prison sentence and fine in order to bring the legal proceedings to an end.
Speaking to reporters outside court in Pozuelo de Alarcon in November 2017, he said:

A quite protective lady has come up with an interesting and hilarious method to make women steer clear from her boyfriend.
Holly Cockerill, 24, made a T-shirt for boyfriend, Karl Hennan with her face on it and some words for women who might have the intention of flirting with him.
She went on to share photos of him wearing the T-shirt on Twitter. On the T-shirt he had on, was a warning to other women, which reads:
If your reading this you’ve been looking at my man for too long. And this is how I’d be looking at you if I was here. Hi I’m Holly, his GIRLFRIEND!
Holly’s caption for the photo reads,
Don’t think Karl likes his new top I got him for his birthday x wear it with pride hun x.
Holly’s tweet has gone viral with a lot of Twitter users finding it really funny. Karl, understood to be a sales executive, even replied to the tweet, writing,
babe I really don’t wanna wear this stupid f****** top tonight can I take the thing off?
And Holly jokingly replied,
No you best keep it on at all times, even around ya family you little b****.

Ebube was 14yrs, staying with her aunty when she got pregnant and was chased away. Her parents rejected her. The street became her shelter. Her family heard about a 65yrs old man (Now 66yrs) who was looking for a wife and Ebube was remembered.
Ebube was married out to the man with her pregnancy.
She was happy when she heard she’s leaving the marriage for school #PenNotPenis
Early marriage is a huge violation of human rights. #RespectHumanRights
The 21st century is the age when every person, regardless of age, gender and social status, can do anything and follow their dreams with full support from their family. Sadly, many young girls do not have a voice in the matter.
They are raised to believe that they are made for serving their husbands, without a chance to get proper education and profession, when in reality women can be powerful and inspirational, and achieve great things.
Child Marriage is not a northern thing as we are made to believe #EndChildMarriage
THE GOODNEWS IS, SHE’S NOT SPENDING THIS WEEKEND IN NNEWI. #RetrieveEbube. We are paying everything paid to free her from Modern day slavery #SexSlave

A Indian man has called out his parents for bringing him into this world ‘without his consent’.
Raphael Samuel, 27, said his parents created him, not for his sake, but for ‘their joy and their pleasure’. He compared having children to ‘kidnapping and slavery’.
Samuel, a self-proclaimed ‘anti-natalist’ in India, believes procreation is a ‘supreme act of evil’ and that life which has not given its consent to live should not be brought into the world.
Speaking to The Print, Raphael said:
I love my parents, and we have a great relationship, but they had me for their joy and their pleasure. My life has been amazing, but I don’t see why I should put another life through the rigmarole of school and finding a career, especially when they didn’t ask to exist.
Raphael, from Mumbai, runs the Facebook page Nihilanand where, he shares numerous images and he asks his followers to consider why they are alive.
One of his post reads:
Your parents had you instead of a toy or a dog. You owe them nothing. You are their entertainment.
In another picture he writes:
The only reason your children are facing problems is because you had them.
In another, he asks:
Isn’t forcing a child into this world and then forcing it to have a career kidnapping and slavery?
The anti-natalist movement has emerged in India as younger people attempt to resist societal pressure on them to have children.
Pratima Naik, 26, from Bengaluru, who is at the forefront of the anti-natalist movement and also committed to never having children, supports Samuel’s beliefs.
He said:
We don’t want to impose our beliefs on anyone, but more people need to consider why having a child in the world right now isn’t right.
On his page entitled Childfree India, Pratima Naik wrote last month:
Should we continue to bring more children in this world and accelerate the process of environmental and social degradation?
Do you think existence is pain, and not bringing a child into this world, is a guaranteed way to avoid unnecessary suffering to the child?
We are a group of people who have decided not to reproduce. We are Childfree Indians!
Fellow activist Alok Kumar, 34, has begun a YouTube channel where he aims to spread awareness on child-free living. He decided to remain child-free after deciding the world was not a conductive place for raising a family. He is now looking for a woman who, like him, doesn’t want kids.
Controversial Nigerian journalist Kemi Olunloyo has claimed the Sick Baby Benaiah story is a scam orchestrated by a syndicate to swindle Nigerians of their hard-earned money.
According to her, the video of the man with the sick child is an unauthenticated video that is not certain was shot recently and she also claimed that the man behind the viral video was an ex-convict she met in Prison in Port-Harcourt.
Read the thread as posted via her Twitter page:
What I found in the most elaborate N90M scam in Nigeria. One sick looking baby, a fake father and mother, an elaborate FB syndicate, questionable foundation, unauthenticated videos, a carefully designed media blackout and millions of Nigerians home and abroad donated cash.
THREAD My findings on #BabyBenaiah As a reputable investigative journalist of 25 yrs, I concluded the case as a well orchestrated scam with N90M raised. Our people are constantly mentally enslaved doling out their life’s savings to a questionable unverified claim of a sick baby.
Nigerians saw #BabyBeniah in an unauthenticated viral video with no date or specific location and it got their attention and compassion to donate for this allegedly sick boy. They accepted an unverified diagnosis and started donating into a Go Fund Me and a Diamond bank account
I called several colleagues at TV, Radio and print media houses on why there was a media blackout on the story. Many told me that it appeared to be an unverifiable story as the first line party in the story refused to respond to media. KBK’s online avoidance of media
KBK online according to a US govt Spokeswoman is among several NGO’s that don’t register under 501c3 to get tax exempt status because they may be serving Communities outside the US and many tend to prey on people needing funds raised. They do it as a contingency fee.
A Diamond Bank source told me the account has seen close to N100M deposited in it in the last 7 days including an amount disbursed from the @gofundme fundraiser. The amount KBK Online raised did not all enter Diamond bank. There was a disagreement with parties.

British TV Host Adesope Olajide has proclaimed in a recent interview with DJ Abass, that without Wizkid paved the way for other successful singers like Davido and Burna Boy.
According to Adesope, Wizkid was the first Nigerian artiste to develop a young audience fan base, an era he described as Justin Bieber’s era in Nigeria.
He went on to add that the Star Boy Records Boss inspired Davido and many others in the music scene today.
He categorically stated that without Wizkid’s success, there won’t be a Davido, Burna Boy and the rest because at that time, young kids of his age were not allowed to make music and become big stars in Africa.
A lady was nabbed on Sunday morning at Onirugba street in Ijebu-Ode, Ogun state while stealing panties and bra.
According to reports, the lady had to jump over the fence to gain access into the compound, after all the tenants had gone to church and the gate of the house locked from outside.
It was gathered that someone from the church opposite the house saw the lady jumping over the fence. Before people from the church could trail her, she had already forced open some doors and stole some panties and bra from a family’s wardrobe.
The female suspect was then taken to Igbeba police station in Ogun state. It was also revealed that the lady was just released from prison last year after serving 2 year sentence for stealing a motorcycle.
Controversial security expert, Mr Aye Dee has said Nigerians don’t have the right to access internet on election day and as so, it should be shut down.
In his defense, Aye Dee argued that the internet encourages the spread of fake news, which is very much likely to stir up crisis across the country during and after the election.
He wrote:
“Access to the internet in Nigeria is NOT a right, if @inecnigeria believes internet access during the election needs to be restricted in order to prevent the spread of #FakeNews, specifically fake election results, it would be the right thing to do for Nigeria’s sake.
The internet in should be shut down by 11:59PM on Friday, Feb. 15th, 2019 and restored by 11:59pm on Saturday, February 16th, 2019. If this is not done, there will be chaos as fake results are bound to be brandished by both @OfficialAPCNg and @OfficialPDPNig, causing chaos.
In this crucial election, Nigerian cannot afford to have the electorate manipualted by rumors and propaganda emanating from both major parties. Therefore, it makes sense to ensure the sanctity of the electoral proccess by restricting access to the internet.
Bangladesh with a population of 160 million + shut down its internet before its elections, heaven did not fall, the poll was orderly , free and fair. Nigeria deserves same.
I did not say internet should be restricted for just PDP supporters or just for APC supporters, I said it should be restricted for ALL Nigerians.
A Ghanaian woman who enrolled in Junior High School at the age of 41 is a stone-throw away from achieving her dream of becoming a health officer.
Felicitas Naa’s inspiring story affirms the saying that belief and determination are constants in success. Born in Tamale, Felicitas had her basic and middle school education in the Northern Region.
At 18, she fell in love after a man pledged to help her continue her education when they get married. Excited by the proposal, Felicitas jumped on it and subsequently got married at the age of 18.
However, things did not go according to plan. Her husband could not help her continue with her education. On the other hand, he himself furthered his education.
As time went on, the husband began to complain about Felicitas’ low education level. “He would always complain about my low level of education,” she told the Graphic Online.
With life becoming more and more difficult, she took to bread selling and sewing to make some money. Her marriage finally collapsed, leaving her in a state of absolute depression with no stable source of income and three children.
But rather than give up, Felicitas decided to give it a second shot by returning to school to educate herself.
“I had to pick myself up and start all over again. I was 40 years then. It was time for me to decide whether it was too late or whether I would start afresh. I choose the latter,” she narrates.
In 2006, she decided to go back to school. Intriguingly, she was 41-year-old when she decided to further her junior secondary school education.
But there was a hitch. After 22 years, the educational system had changed. All senior high schools Felicitas tried to gain admission into would not admit her.
She, therefore, had to undertake the Basic Education Certificate Examinations (BECE) as a prerequisite to enter senior high school.
“I was determined to go back to school and so this was not a difficult decision for me to make.” She finally enrolled in the Pedu MA Basic School after numerous failed tries.
“I had to barber my hair, sew my uniforms and get ready for school,” she reminisced.
“By this time my first daughter had completed senior high school,” she added.
She completed junior high school in 2009 and then gained admission to the Oguaa Senior Technical School to offer a course in General Arts.
Felicitas is currently a trainee at the Tamale School of Hygiene, where she will graduate this year (2019) as a health officer.
“It’s a good decision I took. I am glad I took that decision to go back to school. It changed my life completely.
“I have friends I couldn’t have had. I can understand my children better and I even look younger now,” she says of her inspirational journey.
Big Brother Naija 2018 Housemate, Alexandra Asogwa took a trip down memory lane as she told the story of how she struggled to be “Alex unusual and not Alex the celebrity” after leaving Bbnaija’s house.
Alex, who was one of the finalists of the show last year, had a bit of nostalgia as she recalls how life was for her moments after she left the Big Brother house.
In a new IG post, the lovely wrote,
”Sometimes, all you see is the picture but you know nothing about before the picture. The mood, the struggle, the work. On May 1st 2018, I had media rounds because I just came out of the Bbn house. I was already sad immediately I woke up because I knew next thing was “ ok,this person or that person is Styling you today.” I really just wanted to be the one to pick the cloths. I let them do all their magic on my body and they left. I sneaked into the bathroom, changed and sneaked out for my media rounds. After all the day’s stress, I was so happy I did what I wanted, I put my hand on my chest and had this picture taken with that face saying “ehen, I did it, so what? I pledged to do me always because I knew and was ready to face everyone that was waiting upstairs to scold me for changing my initial outfit. Fast forward to 10 months after. Today I woke up and decided to restyle this top that saved my life the first time I decided to go against the world, wear what I want and actually step out in it. Gaining my freedom was a struggle. I still don’t have it totally from the world but I thank God for sending people that are always ready to let me be Alex unusual and not Alex the celebrity. Behind all you see on the gram is a lot of scattered bits put together. Don’t ever be deceived. It’s not a bed of roses but the unusual girl won’t change till a day after forever . I love you all for loving me for me. I’ll always be the better version of the girl you met from day one. I pledge once again. Somebody please pass me tissue ?. I’m emosh !!
The online startup can’t retrieve about C$190 million ($145 million) in Bitcoin, Litecoin, Ether and other digital tokens held for its customers, according to court documents filed Jan. 31 in Halifax, Nova Scotia.
Nor can Vancouver-based Quadriga CX pay the C$70 million in cash they’re owed.
Access to Quadriga CX’s digital “wallets” — an application that stores the keys to send and receive cryptocurrencies — appears to have been lost with the passing of Quadriga CX Chief Executive Officer Gerald Cotten, who died Dec. 9 in India from complications of Crohn’s disease. He was 30.
Cotten was always conscious about security — the laptop, email addresses and messaging system he used to run the 5-year-old business were encrypted, according to an affidavit from his widow, Jennifer Robertson.
The problem is, Robertson said she can’t find his passwords or any business records for the company. Experts brought in to try to hack into Cotten’s other computers and mobile phone met with only “limited success” and attempts to circumvent an encrypted USB key have been foiled, his widow, who lives a suburb of Halifax, said in the court filing.
