Pastor Adeboye prayed for me a night before the crash – Osinbajo

Yemi Osinbajo, the Vice President of Nigeria a few day ago, escaped death after the helicopter he was in crash-landed in Kogi state.

According to Osinbajo while reacting to the crash, his father in the Lord, Pastor Adeboye, General Overseer had prayed for him the night before the ill-fated crash. Osinbajo revealed that he had gone to see the man of God at the Redemption Camp on Friday night and shared how Adeboye emphatically prayed for him for protection.

Osinbajo disclosed this at RCCG City of Grace, Lokoja, Kogi state during a thanksgiving service after his helicopter crash landed in Kabba on Saturday.

“Only God can take the glory for saving my life and that of the nine crew members on board.” “No amount of thanksgiving and praises to God would be enough for saving my life and nine crew on board. “God is the one who can do all things, and only him can take the glory; we return the glory to him. “We are here to say thank you, thank you JESUS. We bless his name forever and ever,” he said.

Young Man Gets Caught Inside Female Hostel In Kogi State University (Video)

It has been reported that a young man has been apprehended after being spotted in a female hostel at the Kogi State University in Anyigba area.

The shocking incident reportedly happened early this morning, February 4, 2019.

It was gathered that the suspect was allegedly trying to steal from the students inside the hostel before an alarm was raised and he was nabbed.

In a video, the female students can be heard shout ‘Ole’ (thief) as the suspect was brought out of their hostel by the school security and taken into their van.

Breaking: Body found in wreckage of plane carrying missing footballer, Emiliano Sala

One occupant of the plane carrying footballer Emiliano Sala and pilot David Ibbotson has been seen in the underwater wreckage.

A search on Sunday found the Piper Malibu plane on the seabed off Guernsey, almost two weeks after it went missing. The Air Accident Investigation Branch (AAIB) confirmed the sighting on Monday morning adding that it was now considering the next steps.

The “substantial amount of wreckage” of the plane, which went missing on January 21st, was found on Sunday morning after a privately-funded search was started. The flight was carrying Argentine striker Sala and pilot David Ibbotson from Nantes, north west France, to Cardiff after Sala completed his £15m move to Cardiff City.

In a statement the AAIB said: “the remotely operated vehicle (ROV) carried out a further search of the area overnight, but did not identify any additional pieces of wreckage. Tragically, in video footage from the ROV, one occupant is visible amidst the wreckage. The AAIB is now considering the next steps, in consultation with the families of the pilot and passenger, and the police.”

Oceanographer and marine scientist David Mearns confirmed the wreckage had been found on Sunday after “a couple of hours” of searching the seabed.

It is a sad time for the family members of a Microbiology graduate of the Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba-Akoko (AAUA) identified as Kemi Adeniran following her sad death.


It was gathered that the 2018 Batch ‘C’ Stream 2 corps member serving in Ibadan, Oyo State, died on Friday, in a motorcycle accident while heading home after the INEC training for 2019 general elections.

Many of her friends and family members have taken to social media to mourn her loss.

A seven-year-old boy has died after he was allegedly buried alive by his own parents for not knowing the Bible. Little Ethan Hauschultz was reportedly buried in ‘his own little coffin of snow’ while in the care of court-appointed guardians Timothy and Tina Hauschultz.

The couple are accused of dishing out sickening punishments to Ethan, including holding a 44-pound log for two hours every day for a week. The punishments were typically given when the boy failed to memorise versus from the Bible, according to police reports.

Timothy and Tina Hauschultz’s 15-year-old son is also alleged to have tortured the youngster, according to Newsweek, on one occasion, it is claimed he kicked and punched him at least 100 times, rolled a heavy log over his body and stood on his head while he was face-down in a puddle.

Medical reports show Ethan died in April last year from hypothermia and blunt force trauma to the head, abdomen and chest, and a fractured rib.It is not known exactly how the Hauschultzs are related to Ethan, but they are listed as his legal guardians, reports The Mail.

The couple’s teenage son has been charged with first-degree reckless homicide, while Timothy, 48, has been charged with felony murder and felony contributing to the delinquency of a child.Tina, 35, is charged with failing to prevent bodily harm and intentionally contributing to the delinquency of a child.

The 15-year-old boy told police that he was in charge of supervising Ethan and his twin, who were allegedly both being punished by carrying logs after failing to recite 13 Bible verses of Timothy’s choosing.

All three defendants are due to make their first court appearance today.

One 23-year-old Blessing Aluna, pictured, has been arrested by men of the Niger state police command for selling her one-week old baby for N200,000.

According to reports, Blessing who resides in Rimi Lokoja Local Government Area of Kogi State, was apprehended for allegedly conniving with Oludare Jeprince, who was said to be her boyfriend and accomplice, to kidnap and facilitate the sale of the baby.

When interrogated, Blessing blamed poverty for her action.

“Imagine me selling my child for money; that will tell you the level of hardship in the country. I sold my own child for N200,000 in order to open a provision store in Suleja at least to take care of myself and my siblings.”

Blessing said she regrets her action.

“I have done the worst thing to humanity and especially to my own child. I don’t think I deserve to be alive, let the law take its course.” she said

Confirming their arrest, the command’s spokesperson, Muhammad Abubakar, said the suspects would be arraigned in court as soon as investigations are concluded.

Plane crashes into house in California; 5 people killed, 3 injured (Photos)

On Sunday, 3rd of February, 2019, five people lost their lives and three others were left injured after a small plane crashed into a home outside of Los Angeles.

The crash killed the male pilot of the plane and four people (two males and two females) who were in the single-family home, the Orange County Sheriff’s Office said on Twitter.

The Orange County Coroner is working to positively identify those who died and notify next of kin, the sheriff’s office said. The crash occurred in Yorba Linda, according to the Orange County Fire Authority.

Three people, including a firefighter, were injured. Two individuals were transported to a nearby hospital with injuries. Those individuals were hospitalized with burn injuries, and the firefighter was treated for minor injuries.

The Cessna 414A had just departed from nearby Fullerton Municipal Airport before the crash, according to Allen Kenitzer, a spokesman with Federal Aviation Administration. The FAA and the National Transportation Safety Board are investigating, he said. Yorba Linda is located about 33 miles southeast of Los Angeles

Activist, Prince Harrison Gwamnishu, is at the moment working on rescuing a 15-year-old girl who was married off to a 66-year-old man in Nnewi, Anambra state.

Harrison in a post shared on his Facebook page, revealed that the girl became pregnant when she 14 and was thrown out of her house by her family.

Later, the family heard of a 66 year old man who wanted a third wife and was willing to marry the 14-year-old pregnant girl and the girl’s family married her off to the man.

Plane carrying missing Emiliano Sala has been found

The wreckage of the plane aircraft that went missing with footballer, Emiliano Sala on board has been found within hours of a search starting in the sea off the Channel Islands.

A search boat hired privately by Sala’s Argentinian family – thanks partly to a crowdfunding appeal – located the wreckage on Sunday morning.

The crew passed the details of the location on to government investigators, who used a remotely operated underwater vehicle (ROV) to examine the spot.

There was no immediate official confirmation of what was found but the shipwreck specialist leading the private investigation, David Mearns, said the plane had been discovered.

No information about whether any bodies were in the plane was given. Two seat covers from the aircraft washed up last week on the coast of France.

UK Air Accidents Investigation Branch (AAIB) will probably make a statement on Monday.

The Piper Malibu N264DB carrying 28-year-old Sala and the pilot, David Ibbotson, 59, disappeared over the Channel on 21 January after leaving Nantes in France at about 7.15pm for Cardiff.

He made this known during a podcast in which he stated that the script for the fourth installment of the movie is still in its initial stages.

Though no word has been spoken on a release date for Rush Hour 4, we all can expect to see Chris Tucker (James Carter) and Jackie Chan (Inspector Lee) team up for another amazing action comedy.

“We’re working on a few things on the script right now, so we’re trying to get into production, But we’re working on it and trying to get it going…Jackie Chan wants to do it, I want to do it, [the] studio wants to do it, so we’re trying to get it together,” Chris Tucker said.

Last year the internet was flooded with wedding pictures of Ghanaian actor Justice Hymns popularly known as Mmebusem and his “wife” Abena Boatemaa.

The pictures which went really viral were met with several commentaries as many believed they were unreal and perhaps scenes from an upcoming movie.

A number of people shared the pictures with sarcastic captions such as “true love”, and all that trying to insinuate that, it was just not “right” for a clearly sane and handsome gentleman like Mmebusem to marry and “insane” or perhaps cursed lady.

Their marriage brought a lot of commentaries and criticisms and one I could easily is the one from his colleague actor known as Big Akwes.

Kumawood actor Big Akwes on Royal TV terribly described the “wife” of the actor and alleged the lady as a cursed one. He also described her as a cheap product only worth of marriage because of the benefits the actor will enjoy.

Big Akwes made a mockery of both the newly “married couple” and went ahead to describe the lady as one with a terrible face, mouth. IN his words, he says “what a wife?”.

Fast forward today, many thought Mmebusem will leave the wife after getting ( the money ) what he went into the marriage for. But no, he is still happily married and enjoys every bit of it.

Anambra State Government issues Press statement on the case of alleged child marriage involving 15-year-old girl and demented Ozubulu man

The Anambra State Ministry of Women and Children Affairs on Sunday, has said that it has received a complaint about an alleged underage marriage involving a girl from Ihiala identified as Chinwe, and a man from Ozubulu, Mr Izuchukwu Igwilo.

The statement which was signed by Lady Ndidi Mezue, the Commissioner, Anambra State Ministry of Women and Children Affairs, stated the ministry is following up on the case as it continues to collaborate with several persons and organisations including security agencies towards quick resolution.

“The ministry is in contact with the girl’s family, Anambra Police and other interested parties in the matter including human rights activists,” the statement reads.

“The ministry’s utmost concern at this period is the safety and well-being of the young girl in question, as well as the well-being of her young child. As a result, the ministry has up till this time not made any press statement, granted any media interviews nor released any pictures concerning this matter, this is to protect the dignity and privacy of the innocent persons involved. We call on all those working on this case with us to toe the same line.

We can report at this time that considerable progress has been made on the matter and wish to state that the young girl in question is not yet in the custody of the ministry as reported on several social media platforms.

We wish to assure the public that in line with our mandate, and as can be seen in previous social welfare interventions undertaken by the Ministry, we will pursue this particular case towards achieving a satisfactory and positive outcome.”

The Association of White Witches in Nigeria, AWWN, has finally endorsed PDP presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, as the next President of the country.

Spokesman of the association, Dr. Iboi Okhue, told Sunday Independent in an exclusive telephone chat that, “the victory of Atiku was sealed in two meetings held on the Obudu Mountain in Cross River State and the Zuma Rock in Abuja.”

Two Nigerian lecturers die, one injured in ghastly motor accident on their way home after attending a friend’s wedding in Jigawa

Two friends, Zaharadeen Hussaini Kaita and Saib Abbantea, were killed in a fatal accident on their way home after attending a friend’s wedding in Malam Madori local government area of Jigawa State. The third friend, Yusuf Dot Java was seriously injured and hospitalised.

The accident occurred along Ringim-Kano road. Zaharadeen Kaita was until his tragic death, a lecturer with Isa Kaita Polytechnic Katsina- while Java was a lecturer at Nuhu Bakalli Polytechnic Zaria.

The groom, Babangida Isyaku, took to Facebook to pay tribute to the men and pray for the speedy recovery of the third.
