Residents of Kara, Sabo, Sagamu area part of Ogun State has found a white man’s photo in a sacrifice dumped at a spot in the area.

The white man’s photo was found in a calabash containing eggs, palm oil and other items, and according to residents of the area this isn’t the first time such would be found in the area.

This is coming few months after yet to be identified internet fraudsters who allegedly scammed a white man, mocked him while on video call. In the video which went viral on social media, the yahoo boys were spotted laughing and making jest of the old man saying “You like p*rn, you like n*de, you will cry die”

A Twitter user, identified as Harri Obi, with the handle, @Harri_Obi has shared details and screenshots of his last chat with his friend, who is a soldier.

On my way home from work, I saw a post a mutual friend did talking about his demise and immediately went into panic mode, an experience I’ve been having whenever I see stories of dead Nigerian soldiers & since my friend from my Boys Scout days was sent to the war front. I digress.

Back to my friend. After seeing the posts about Ifeanyi, I immediately reached out to my friend serving in NE out of panic because I knew he was in the same unit with Ifeanyi.

And this is our conversation.

After that he video called cuz he said military intelligence tracks these things & the hierarchy are looking for soldiers to use as scape goats.

I begged him to abscond, he should remember the plans we made as kids, plus I won’t forgive myself if anything happens to him.

He laughed it off and in his words “it is what he signed up for”. He told me there are soldiers that have been in the war front since the war started, that we have no idea of the casualty figures the government intentionally hides, the harsh weather and environment, low pay, etc.

There’s a lot he told me that I can’t remember cuz I spent the entire time sobbing. Which country sends its best to be slaughtered by a better paid, better equipped, better trained with higher morale terrorist group? Why are those in power playing ludo with the people’s lives?

He said all they need now is prayers, cuz what we do as civilians is get angry for 24 hours when a soldier posts a disturbing video from the frontline. He said: “Harri, you’ll be eating rice & chicken tomorrow in peace, only cuz I’m down here getting shot at.” Fam, that broke me.

I really suck at this thread thing, but is there not something that we can do? These guys dying for a country that doesn’t give a shit about them are people’s friends, brothers, fathers, sons, etc. There’s surely much more that can be done than our short term online anger right?

These pics were taken 30 minutes before a bullet fell the handsome Ifeanyi. We cant keep sending our best to be slaughtered, unequipped, unmotivated, underpaid, while an obese idiot is seating in an air conditioned office, profiting from these deaths. It just doesn’t make sense.

A former house-help turned educationist has taken to his facebook page to appreciate his ex-boss who sponsored his education.

The Nigerian man, Zion Oshiobugie, gave thanks to his former boss who took him in as a houseboy 14 years ago and ensured he got the education his biological children got as well.

Zion also revealed that education unlocked his mind and broke the chain of poverty in his life.

His post reads ;

14 years ago, December 2004 to be precise I came to warri, Delta State to be the house boy (Domestic help) of @ndonyeka (Engr Nnamdi Onyeka & Dr Mrs Stephanie Onyeka).

D8 iffie estate, refinery road by Mega Hilton hotel was the house I stayed for 4 years. Engr Nnamdi never saw me as a second class citizen and as such he sent me to school instead of paying my parents for my service. I obtained OND from the petroleum training institute, Effurun while in his house as a domestic help. He payed my way through school. I stayed as his domestic help for 4 years 2004-2008.

Education unlocked my mind and broke the chains of poverty from my life hence my resolve to provide quality education for 20 million underprivileged children and orphans in my life time.

Long story short it’s 14 years down the line and I still remian grateful for all you did for me sir. Help say a word of appreciation to him.

A Nigerian man, Martin Beck Nworah, has taken to social media to narrate his encounter with a lady who slammed him for wearing bathroom slippers to Mall in Lagos.

Yesterday evening, I honoured my friend’s request to take me to the cinema. I got to ICM (Ikeja City Mall) before her so I had to wait.

About 20 minutes later, she arrived with a female friend of hers. She tried introducing us to each other. “Errmmm…babe, this is Martin Beck Nworah. Beck…this is…”

Her friend couldn’t wait for her to finish before she cut in; “Which village did you pick this guy from? Babe you’re bigger than this na. How can you be hanging out with a guy who comes to a Mall wearing bathroom slippers.”

I was shocked. My friend was shocked. We never expected that. I tried smiling but my cheeks were shaking. LOL. My friend gave her a sharp look and finished the introduction. I was already thinking about my life sef and the insult.

My friend went into Silverbird and the movie we wanted to see was sold out. The next option required an additional 1k to get 3 tickets. She didn’t have extra cash and her friend didn’t have.

Without asking if I had, she told her friend she had to go back to the house or wait outside. “Babe, you need go back or you can stay outside and wait for us.”

Her friend couldn’t understand why she would stand her down for a guy wearing bathroom slippers. “Babe, I told you to stay in the house but you insisted on coming out.

You will shaa wait outside or you go home.” She grumbled, muttered incoherent stuff and told my friend to see her off. I smiled ehhh.

When my friend returned, she snapped this picture. “But Beck, why would you wear a bathroom slippers and come out to ICM of all places? Son of Nebu, what is your wahala?” I laughed real hard. “I’m not regular…”She held my lips. “Nonsense boy.”

Her friend later called me in the night with my friend’s phone to apologise. She said my friend later explained to her who I was and everything. She was sorry for reacting the way she did.

I told her it wasn’t her fault, I was even surprised at myself. This Lagos life sef! Till we get to the Promised Land, I shall be waiting for when you will pass me a glass of water and thank God for the gift of grace for the race.
