The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board, JAMB has issued a warning to candidates to disregard advertisements in the social media, announcing sales of registration documents with some illegal centres and subject combinations.
The board’s Head, Media and Information, Dr Fabian Benjamin, gave the warning in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Tuesday in Lagos.
He said:
“It has come to the notice of the board that some fraudsters have listed out centres for the examination and in the process, inserted some illegal ones.
“Let me state here that all the processes concerning the board can only be done by approved Computer Based Centres (CBT).”
According to Benjamin, over 700 centres have so far been accredited for the conduct of the 2019 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) scheduled to commence on March 16.
He said JAMB would soon publish the list of all approved centres in all its state offices nationwide to guide prospective candidates in choosing centres nearest to them.
He announced that the sales of registration documents for the examination would commence on Jan. 10.
“Already the list of over 700 accredited centres for this examination has been uploaded on our website.
“But we have not published any advert concerning all the processes, we are hoping to do so soon.
“Precisely before the commencement of the sales of the forms just as we will paste the list of all the accredited CBT centres at all our state offices nationwide.
“This is to guide the candidates towards the examination processes in order not to fall prey to these fraudsters who are bent on finding ways of causing pains to innocent Nigerians,” Benjamin said.
He added that candidates can also go to the “playstore app” on their mobile phones and download “jambibass” to get authentic information especially as regards subject and course combinations among others.
A young Nigerian pilot, Captain Arinze may not be a billionaire yet, but he definitely has a very sound business sense.
The pilot according to a post he made on twitter, revealed that he lost his sunglasses some weeks back (which definitely would be an original and expensive brand).
He then decided to get one off the traffic for a meagre N1,000 (of course, it is just a replica of the original one).
Now his co-pilot is offering $50 for the replica, which of course he feels it would be an original just because a pilot is wearing it.
He wrote:
I lost my sun shade last week. 2 days ago, I bought this one in traffic for 1k naira. Today, I attempted to sell it to my copilot for $50. If I’m wearing it, then it must be original, he thought. There is alot of life/business lessons to learn from this.

According to the comedian who was under fire few months ago over his rape skit, the only time a lady is free to misbehave and go free is if she’s cohabiting with a man that has not paid her dowry. So many men steal, borrow and beg for money just to marry a woman and women don’t still want to admit that we buy them with money. U can’t be claiming to be equal to a man that spent so much to buy u, sorry marry u.. Ladies must accept to be submissive to a men that bought them. The only time a lady is free to misbehave and go free is if she’s cohabiting with a man that has not paid her dowry.
HEAR THIS: I will be the first to give out my daughter without giving the guy dowry list so that he will know that they are equal and he would respect her because he didn’t inconvenience anybody in order to raise money to marry her.

Alex Ekubo has in an open letter to Nigerians, urged Nigerian youths to generally, “mind their business”.
He spoke about a lot of things, from being happy for other people and for folks to stop attributing everyone’s success to fraud.
He also said if a person wants to be gay, let them be gay in peace. He also debunked rumors he is gay saying he has never and will never be.
Read:
Dear Nigerian Youth, learn to be happy for one another, hating another man’s candle won’t light yours, if someone buys a car, be happy for the person, if someone builds a house be happy & pray that God blesses you to do the same, don’t start criticizing & calling names, “fraudster” “gigolo” “husband snatcher “ a thief who hasn’t had the opportunity, considers himself an honest man” trust me you would do worse should the opportunity present itself, So shut up!
Learn to live & let live, if a person wants to be gay, let them gay in peace, personally i’m NOT, have NEVER been, & will NEVER be, lets allow pple to be free & comfortable with their sexual preference, stop the name calling & shaming.
If a woman has certain insecurities about her body & wants to fix it, its her prerogative, her risk, her money & ultimately her body, face front & worry about what you’ll eat for dinner. If a person wants to pay their tithe, let them pay, is it your money? Personally i’m an unrepentant tithe payer, you wanna know why? Because i want to contribute to the outreach the church is doing, now if my pastor wants to buy a Rolls Royce or a private jet with it, thats fine with me, God thats sees in the secret & reward in the open, will never let my labor of love go unnoticed.
If someone is having relationship/marriage issues, pray for them, advice them if you can & hope for the best, don’t fuel the fire, & encourage the breakup, honestly guys this is not cute any more we are starting to look like a bunch of sadistic, vile, bitter, angry set of pple to the rest of the world, we are constantly antagonizing each other & wishing failure on our selves.
Oh! While i have your attention, can we stop with the pressure, stop putting undue pressure on pple to do things, be it marriage, career moves, child birth, etc.
Pls what i’m trying to say is, lets be more tolerant of each other, lets respect our individual choices & decisions, lets pull each other up, lets forgive more, lets spread love & kill hate, we have always done the opposite & see where we are, lets try this in 2019 & see where it takes us.
2019 is our year of TESTIMONY, Happy New Year. #AlexxEkuboPepTalk ❤️
Richard Mofe-Damijo who shared a new year post on his Instagram page, stated that he is no longer surprised when those who earn next to nothing allegedly buy cars.
According to the veteran actor, he never believed the principle of faking it till you make it because it is a faulty principle that often puts people in trouble. Richard Mofe-Damijo who challenged his followers to “FAITH IT TILL YOU MAKE IT”, added that it is a principle that has worked for him.
Read his post below;
I’m no longer surprised when people who earn next to nothing allegedly buy multi million dollar cars and homes, after all the catch phrase is “FAKE IT TILL YOU MAKE IT” but the question is, is faking it a guarantee to making it? Absolutely not. I have never believed the principle of faking it till you make it because it is a faulty principle that often puts people in trouble so I want to share a principle that has worked for me, which is the principle of FAITH and utter total trust in God’s word. The principle that is sure to not only produce results but produce results that are long lasting not the fleeting fame and fortune that comes with FAKING IT. So welcome to 2019 and instead of faking it again this year, I dare you to “FAITH IT TILL YOU MAKE IT” Happy new year again people. One Love!
With just a few minutes to ring in the new year, 30 lives were reportedly lost in a road accident on Monday night near Bola Ige International market along new Ife-Ibadan expressway, Gbagi, Ibadan, Oyo state capital.
According to reports, the victims were crushed to death by an oncoming trailer from Iwo road axis which rammed into the commercial buses by the entrance of the market. The Gbagi accident which occurred around 11:45pm, led to heavy gridlock which saw vehicles enroute Ife from Ibadan stranded for several hours.
Although, no eyewitness could say if the trailer suffered a brake failure or if the affected buses were parked on the road, sources confirmed that only two people initially survived the accident and many people were taken to a nearby hospital while other passengers were said to have died immediately.
A Toyota Camry and Nissan Micra cars were also said to have been crushed by the trailer. Sources, however, hinted that many of the victims included people going to churches for the cross-over service at Iyana-Agbala and Egbeda Area of the capital city. Victims included a pregnant woman, simply identified as Mrs. Funmilayo who was said to be on her way to visit her In-laws; a driver of a bus identified as ‘Orobo Baba Weather’; and many others that could not be identified as of the time of filing this report.
Confirming the development, the state Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Adekunle Ajisebutu, puts the casualty figure at eleven, while another report obtained from the office of the Sector Commander of the FRSC, Mrs Cecilia Alao, indicated that 12 people died as a result of the incident and their corpses were deposited at the morgue of Oyo State Specialist Hospital, Adeoyo. 2 African migrants hiding in mattresses have been caught at Spanish border when immigration officers ordered that the items be cut open.
Spanish border police may have been used to seeing various kinds of means in which desperate African migrants hide themselves in an attempt to enter the country, but this was considered entirely different.
The trending video, recorded on Sunday (yesterday), shows Guardia Civil officers removing two black and white mattresses from the roof of a white vehicle.
The cops, based in the Spanish territory of Melilla, then opened them with a knife, to discover the two African men inside.
According to Spanish media, the driver managed to run from the vehicle back into Morocco.
A Twitter user, identified as Harri Obi, with the handle, @Harri_Obi has shared details and screenshots of his last chat with his friend, who is a soldier.

Hi guys, this is Ifeanyi Oseh, popular known as Fly G by his comrades. He was killed on Saturday as his unit fought Boko Haram.
Hi guys, this is Ifeanyi Oseh, popular known as Fly G by his comrades. He was killed on Saturday as his unit fought Boko Haram.
I’ve been scared and in tears and let me tell you why. Thread! ?
On my way home from work, I saw a post a mutual friend did talking about his demise and immediately went into panic mode, an experience I’ve been having whenever I see stories of dead Nigerian soldiers & since my friend from my Boys Scout days was sent to the war front. I digress.
These were Ifeanyi’s chats on his way to the war front. Read the last one. ???
Back to my friend. After seeing the posts about Ifeanyi, I immediately reached out to my friend serving in NE out of panic because I knew he was in the same unit with Ifeanyi.
And this is our conversation.
After that he video called cuz he said military intelligence tracks these things & the hierarchy are looking for soldiers to use as scape goats.
I begged him to abscond, he should remember the plans we made as kids, plus I won’t forgive myself if anything happens to him.
He laughed it off and in his words “it is what he signed up for”. He told me there are soldiers that have been in the war front since the war started, that we have no idea of the casualty figures the government intentionally hides, the harsh weather and environment, low pay, etc.
There’s a lot he told me that I can’t remember cuz I spent the entire time sobbing. Which country sends its best to be slaughtered by a better paid, better equipped, better trained with higher morale terrorist group? Why are those in power playing ludo with the people’s lives?
He said all they need now is prayers, cuz what we do as civilians is get angry for 24 hours when a soldier posts a disturbing video from the frontline. He said: “Harri, you’ll be eating rice & chicken tomorrow in peace, only cuz I’m down here getting shot at.” Fam, that broke me.
I really suck at this thread thing, but is there not something that we can do? These guys dying for a country that doesn’t give a shit about them are people’s friends, brothers, fathers, sons, etc. There’s surely much more that can be done than our short term online anger right?
These pics were taken 30 minutes before a bullet fell the handsome Ifeanyi. We cant keep sending our best to be slaughtered, unequipped, unmotivated, underpaid, while an obese idiot is seating in an air conditioned office, profiting from these deaths. It just doesn’t make sense.
About two years ago, the General Overseer of the Mountain of Miracles and Liberation Ministries, Dr. Chris Okafor was rumored to have purchased a private jet.
According to one Mr. Brown, a freelance blogger who broke the news at the time, the information was leaked by a member of the church.
The church did not officially issue a statement but a trusted source who is very close to the Liberation City General overseer waved it off as a “rudderless rumor”. But on December 27, 2018 what the source referred to as “rudderless rumor” suddenly crystallized into a verifiable reality.
Posting recent pictures and even video evidences, a source who would not like to be named insisted the man of God has actually just acquired a new jet.
The controversial man of God who is known worldwide for his daring and accurate prophecies is no stranger to rumors and allegations. However, he has not responded to the latest allusions.
If found to be true, Dr. Okafor will Join the growing list of Nigeria’s mega pastors whose ministries have been graced with luxurious jets.
The man of God who once boasted that he had never touched his church money for personal use will eventually have to explain if the his latest acquisition was purchased with church money or received as a gift from partners and or well wishers.
Dr. Okafor is one of the most travelled preacher out of Nigeria, reaching nearing 200 international locations yearly for his worldwide prophetic crusades known as Chris Okafor World Outreach.
A man on twitter who thinks Wizkid is better than Fela, has voiced out his opinion on the popular social media website.
According to @mazedamouth he would prefer to listen to the contemporary tune of Wizkid’s songs than Fela’s whom he believed wasn’t good enough and simply over hyped in his time.
And he also wrote that most modern music fans that revere Fela are only riding on the nostalgia his songs created while they were growing up listening to the songs.
He wrote:
I’d rather listen to Wizkid than Fela. Maybe I’m an unsophisticated brute, but at least I’m not going to be driven to near-suicide by the grating, tone deaf singing of a fake deep hack who coasts on the power of the background instrumentals.
What has Fela done that matches Wizkid’s tun tun tun tun in Fever?
Many of you who extol Fela’s prowess are manipulated by the unseen yet strong strings of nostalgia. Your father probably played Fela’s music on a lazy Saturday and listening to him now reminds you of idyllic times when life was simple. I get it.
Some are enraptured by the man’s charm & charisma. His fierce and unyielding resistance to power. But this is no substitute for talent. We are very prone to confusing history with excellence. The past with greatness. But we must wake from this lulled deceitful existence.
It seems as though the love between Flavour and his babymama, Anna Banner, is still waxing stronger, as the pair both traveled to Cameroon together for a show, yesterday, December 31st, days after it was reported that he welcomed another child with his first baby mama.
Flavour, Peter Okoye and Chidinma had a performance in Cameroon yesterday and from the pictures Anna Banner shared on her Instastories, she was Flavour’s guest at the event. This development comes few weeks after Flavour’s first baby mama, Sandra Okagbue, welcomed their son.
Anna Banner had a daughter, Sophia, for Flavour in 2015 when the singer was still dating his first babymama, Sandra.

2019 message
It’s that time of the year where we all show off what the lord has done for us in the previous 364 days.
It’s that time of the year where we share our testimonies to inspire the masses and stir up the multitudes.
A new year is upon us so let me get to the point. The reason for this write up is to reach out to a certain group of people. Those who may react in an adverse manner to hearing these yearly testimonies.
Those who may get induced into depression upon hearing these ever powerful testimonies.
Now what most do not understand is that people are good story tellers and screen writers. In telling these testimonies, most people do not include the rigorous ups and downs and losses one experiences before the testimony.
They do not include the vigorous phases they passed in which they themselves nearly gave up for good.
I need you all to know that many live their life for the gram. It may come as a surprise to you but I assure you that you may be better of than most of these people uploading flashy enticing posts on social media. Anyone can take a photo shoot and smile. Anyone can distort an image online.
Pastor Enoch Adejare (EA) Adeboye has released his prophecies for the new year, 2019.
This was made known during the church’s crossover service which took place at the RCCG headquarter located at Kilometre 46 Lagos Ibadan Expressway, Redemption Camp, Ogun state, southwest Nigeria on Monday.
Unlike before when the highly revered man of God would give tacit one liners, he instead gave biblical references as the prophecies for the Year 2019.

29 And also upon the servants and upon the handmaids in those days will I pour out my spirit.
30 And I will shew wonders in the heavens and in the earth, blood, and fire, and pillars of smoke.
31 The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the great and terrible day of the Lord come.
32 And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be delivered: for in mount Zion and in Jerusalem shall be deliverance, as the Lord hath said, and in the remnant whom the Lord shall call

2 I will say of the Lord, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust.
3 Surely he shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence.
4 He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth shall be thy shield and buckler.
5 Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night; nor for the arrow that flieth by day;

Cynthia Nwadiora has shared a stunning, yet beautiful photo with her sister, while not forgetting to pay her a loving tribute, for standing by her.
Here’s what she wrote;
“Hello loves, forgive me for being scarce lately; I decided to take a little break off social media to just reflect, relax and spend time with family. 2018 was life changing for me, it came with many highs and lows, wins and losses but it was all worth it.”
“It was all worth it because it came with a force, piloted by the most amazing woman I know @lusciousbella.”
“All my life, My sister together with the rest of my family has always watched over me but this past year she recruited thousands more for my sake, she fought tooth and nail and protected me at all costs even when i didnt deserve it.”
On Monday, Governor Ambode swore in Adekunle Gold’s father, Adeyemi Kosoko as the new Permanent Secretary for Education.
He also swore in Hakeem Muri-Okunola as the new Head of Service in the state and also appointed six new Permanent Secretaries, including Adekunle Gold’s father.
In reaction to the special moment, Adekunle Gold said he cried as he sat in the auditorium while his father achieved his life-long dream.
In his words, ‘growing up, I watched my dad worked so hard for too little. Teachers weren’t big earners. But my dad, with the help of my mum, provided everything all 4 of us needed – maybe not wanted, but definitely needed’.
I remember when my dad went to Uniben for his first degree. My sisters and I were very young, and communication with him was pretty much impossible, because it was before the era of cellphones. We only saw him when he had school breaks.
He finished as the best in his class with a distinction in Fine Arts, Painting & Graphics Major. He was part of the team that co-wrote the module for teachers at one time. Everyday, after his primary assignment as a Fine Arts teacher in Keke High School, he would go to Teachers’ College to teach other teachers.
He was willing to do whatever it would take to make extra money to fend for us and build a house for us to live in. I almost forgot – he is a published writer. Brilliant Man!
My dad didn’t literally sit me down to teach me great values and diligence. Luckily, he didn’t have to, because I saw it in him everyday.
He has given so much of himself, and truly values the opportunity to be serving the government and every school he’s worked at as either teacher, VP or principal. He’s won about 30 awards for his selfless service to the state. My Dad. A Man!
A man that refuses to cut corners, believes in hard work and is known for his integrity. He always said to me; “Your name is precious, you must protect it!
Hard as it might be to believe, I can honestly say I’ve never seen him disobey traffic rules or give bribe. When other principals allowed people use their schools for special centres, my dad said no.
He said – “I have been in service for far too long to let quick money ruin my reputation.” His dream has always been to become a Permanent Secretary of Lagos state. It was his dream, it was also mine for him.
In this moment, this 56 year old brilliant man’s dream is now his reality. Today, I sat in the audience, and I listened as they read out loud, his achievements. I watched as he was sworn in as a Tutor General/Permanent Secretary for Education.
