The son of the brother of Africa’s richest man, Sani Dangote, Mohammed, got married to his Malaysian bride, Sara, in a wedding that took place at the Mayang Sari Grand Ballroom, JW Marrriott Hotel in Malaysia yesterday, December 19th.
The couple said their vows in the presence of their family and friends.
Sani Dangote is the brother of Africa’s richest man, Aliko Dangote. Guests at the wedding included oil magnate Femi Otedola, businessman Atedo Peterside and many others.

The president of Uganda, Yoweri Museveni has advised the current Miss World Africa , Muzukuli Quiin Abenakyo to do away with her fake weaves and embrace natural African hair.

A Federal High Court sitting in Uyo, the Akwa Ibom capital, has sentenced three women, with the names, Emem Udo Etim Okon, Uduak Ekpeyong, and Imaobong Nyong to two years imprisonment for the attempted sale of a human being, an act contrary to sections 21 and 29 of the TIPPEA 2015.
The women were arraigned after being apprehended by the National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons (NAPTIP).

Controversial On Air Personality, Daddy Freeze, has asked those celebrating Christmas to stop fooling the world into believing it’s Christ’s birthday.
He said they were actually celebrating a pagan god, Nimrod’s birthday.
Freeze was reacting to a video where an American pastor, Brother Benx disagreed with Christmas and Easter celebration, stating that there was no biblical documentation to back up such dates.

A group of women and men stormed Yaba Market on Saturday to protest harassment in the marketplace. Women who visited the market after the Yaba Market March have now reported a positive change in the behavior of the traders towards female customers.

Gourav Mukhi who plays as a striker for Jamshedpur FC has now been suspended for six months after it emerged he is actually 28 and not 16 as he listed on league documents.

Police IG, Ibrahim Idris has deployed the Intelligence Response Team and the Special Tactical Squad to Nasarawa State to fish out the killers of former Chief of Defence Staff, Air Chief Marshal Alex Badeh.
Spokesman for Nasarawa State Police Command, Kennedy Idirisu, said in Lafia on Wednesday that the team, alongside senior military personnel, were led to the scene of the incident by the Commissioner of Police, Yahaya Bello, in line with the IGP directive.
Idirisu said that the late Badeh was shot dead at about 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday by gunmen at Tudu-Uku village along Gitata-Keffi road in Karu Local Government Area of the state. He explained that the former Chief of Defence Staff was returning from his farm in the company of his friend and driver when unknown gunmen ambushed and opened fire on their moving vehicle.
“The former Chief of Defense Staff suffered gunshot injury, which resulted in his death, with the driver sustaining injuries while the friend was abducted.
The Nasarawa State Commissioner of Police is therefore calling on the public with useful information to avail the police with the view to rescuing the abducted person and arresting the perpetrators of the dastardly act,” Idirisu said.
He assured that any information from the public that would aid the investigation would be treated with utmost confidentiality.
A Nigerian man drowned in a South African beach, as confirmed by the Nigerian Union in South Africa (NUSA).
The Union who announced the death of Mr Udebuani Chidokweanaukwu from Nando in Anambra, disclosed that the Nigerian man drowned in a beach in Swellendam near Cape Town, Western Cape, South Africa.
The statement issued to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) by Mr Habib Miller, Publicity Secretary of the Union, reads in part;
“With sorrow and heavy heart, we have received the news of the death of Udebuani Chidokweanaukwu from Nando, Anambra State.
“According to the information from an eye witness, Chidikweanaukwu got drowned on the beach at Swellendam on Dec. 17.
“He is survived by his wife and children. NUSA sympathises with his family and friends at this difficult time of grief and pray God comfort them,” he said.
Former US President Barack Obama dresses as Santa to bring an abundance of holiday cheer to sick kids at the Children’s National hospital in Washington, DC on Wednesday.
The former president suited up in Santa Claus attire and merrily sang Christmas carols with hundreds of doctors, nurses, hospital workers, parents and children during the much-anticipated visit.
Obama was greeted by happy hospital staff and others as he arrived in a red hat and belted out lyrics to We Wish You A Merry Christmas.
The starstruck crowd cheered and shouted in excitement as they exchanged holiday greetings with him.
Obama shared a humbling message to the crowd:
‘I just want to say thank you to all of you guys, we had a chance to talk to some of the wonderful kids and their families.

Taribo West, a Nigerian football legend who disclosed how he has used his experiences to guide young African footballers in an interview with Punch, has stated that he signed slave contracts at Auxerre, Inter Milan.
Taribo West, who joined French Ligue 1 side Auxerre from domestic league side Julius Berger in a highly celebrated move in 1993, disclosed that he had a hellish time at Auxerre having signed a contract without knowing the details.
Taribo said ;
“I played in Auxerre for (almost) free. I was playing under a contract for five years without knowing the contents and conditions binding the contract,” Taribo stated during Footballers Connect, an event aimed at bridging the gap between young footballers, professionals and ex-internationals.

Kansas Attorney General, Derek Schmidt, said Tuesday, that a settlement was reached Monday with 42-year-old Richard Anthony Jones of Kansas City, Missouri.
Eyewitness testimony sent Jones to prison for an attack and robbery in the parking lot of a Walmart in Roeland Park, Kansas.
No physical evidence linked Jones to the crime, and he always maintained his innocence. He was freed after supporters found evidence that another man who looked just like him lived near the Walmart.

Swedish DJ Avicii, who was one of the world’s biggest dance music stars and disk jockeys left his entire £20million fortune to his parents.
The World-famous DJ, whose real name was Tim Bergling, was found dead in Muscat, Oman in April this year.
Following his death, his family revealed in an open letter that the 28-year-old ‘could not go on any longer and wanted peace’.
Now, legal documents filed in his native Sweden have revealed he left his entire £20million fortune to his parents.
The legal forms made public by the Swedish Tax Agency, revealed that the artist’s parents Klas Bergling and Anki Lidén are set to inherit their son’s wealth of 231million kronor (£20million, $25.5million).
Under Swedish law, the money will automatically be gifted to his parents since he was unmarried with no children and had not written a last will and testament at the time of his death, Swedish newspaper Expressen.se reported.
He was also said to have had debts of 96.5million kronor (£8.42m) in the US and 841,330 kronor (£73,430) in Canada, which were paid before his parents inherited his estate.

The Police in Abuja have arrested a 59-year-old man posing as a retired Assistant Inspector-General of Police at a bank in Kubwa, a satellite town in the Federal Capital Territory, Punch Metro reports.
Olawale Olatunji was allegedly found in possession of 11 ATM cards and 10 cheque books of different banks which he claimed belonged to him.
Parading the suspect in Abuja on Wednesday, the FCT Commissioner of Police, Bala Ciroma, stated that Olatunji had posed as an AIG to defraud unsuspecting members of the public by promising to assist them in getting contracts at the Police Airwing department.
He said, “On December 10, 2018, Police operatives from the Command arrested Olatunji who has been parading himself as a retired AIG.
“The suspect had under the same pretext defrauded unsuspecting members of the public by offering to help them secure contracts at the Police Air Wing.
“In the course of the investigation, fake Police Air Wing receipts, fake contract documents, 11 ATM cards, 10 checkbooks and letter headed papers of different companies were recovered from him as exhibits.”
Olatunji admitted ownership of the exhibits including the fake Police Air Wing receipts, but he denied defrauding people.
“A pastor introduced me to someone as a retired AIG, but I didn’t defraud anyone. The ATM cards and checkbooks were for my bank accounts which were opened for my business with different companies,” he claimed.
The suspect asked the police to charge him to court, noting that he was not a criminal.

The Federal Government has declared Tuesday 25th, Wednesday 26th December 2018 and Tuesday Jan. 1st 2019, as public holidays to mark Christmas, Boxing Day and New Year celebrations respectively.
This was contained in a statement released by the Minister of Interior, Lt. General (Retd.) Abdulrahman Dambazau on Wednesday December 19th.

The wife of Boko Haram Leader Mamman Nur, has reportedly been arrested by the Borno Commandant of the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC).
Abdullahi Ibrahim, the Borno Commandant of the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), who confirmed the arrest of two female Boko Haram bombers, disclosed that one of the women is the wife of Mamman Nur, a factional leader of the terrorist group.
The teenager, who was identified as Fatima Muhammed Kabir, who was arrested recently along with another woman, Amina Salihu at Borno Express Motor Park, were on their way to carry out an Improvised Explosive Device attack in Maiduguri.
Ibrahim who spoke at the commissioning of the newly donated equipment by the U.S Department of state on Wednesday in Maiduguri, said many Boko Haram members have surrendered their arms and renounced their campaign of terror, through the command’s civil approach to issues.
The NSCDC commandant who disclosed that Wife of Boko Haram Leader Mamman Nur, has been handed over to the military for rehabilitation, said;
“More than 40 Boko Haram members have surrendered through the command. We have handed them over to the military for rehabilitation under the Operation Safe Corridor.
“We are able to convince them to surrender their arms and accept meaningful de-radicalisation and reintegration opportunity offered them by the government.
“During their stay in the command, they said they are now praying five times in a day as against when they are fighting in the forest,” he said.
