Nigerian singer, Mr Eazi has in an interview with Punch Nigeria, revealed that he never demanded any fee for collabos from any African artiste.

This is quite surprising since many artist get paid for features but according to the “Surrender” crooner, no African artiste could accuse him of demanding money to engage in a collabo.

He said;

“No musician in Africa can claim that he paid me for doing a song with him. It is my policy not to charge fees for collaborating with fellow artistes on the continent, but I charge a lot of money to participate in shows outside Africa.

“I have been quietly funding music videos by some artistes in Africa. I have funded about six videos in the last two years. One of the artistes that have benefitted from my sponsorship was nominated for this year’s BET Awards in the United States. He is a rapper known as Kwesi Author.”

Two years ago, Sandra Parks, 13, wrote an award-winning essay about the constant shootings in her hometown of Milwaukee and elsewhere, and the emotional toll they have on young people like her.

Two years after she won an award for her essay, bullets shattered Sandra’s bedroom window as she watched television on Monday night. The stray bullet fired from outside her home killed her instantly.

“She took it like a soldier. She just walked in the room and said, ‘Mama, I’m shot’. The bullet wasn’t even for her.” her sister, Tatiana Ingram said.

Late Parks, who was in eighth grade at Keefe Avenue School, wrote the essay in 2016, when she was in sixth grade. The essay won third place in the contest.

She wrote ;

“Little children are victims of senseless gun violence. I sit back and I have to escape from what I see and hear every day. When I do; I come to the same conclusion; we are in a state of chaos.

Our first truth is that we must start caring about each other. We need to be empathetic and try to walk in each other’s shoes. We shall overcome, when we love ourselves and the people around us. Then, we become our brothers keeper”

The Emir of Kano, Sanusi Lamido Sanusi II, has told leaders not to complain of migration since there’re no jobs for citizens.

According to a report by Vanguardngr, the Former Governor of CBN said this at the launch of a book, titled “From Frying Pan to Fire: How African migrants risk everything in their futile search for a better life in Europe.’

He said;

“Instead of complaining about people running around the Sahara and trying to go to Europe, how many solar panel can we put in Sahara and generate energy and help small scale industries, who is talking about that?

This country, Nigeria has a population of about 200 million, half of whom are under 20, if we don’t create economies for them, they are going somewhere.

The richest man in Africa is from Nigeria and Nigeria is the poverty capital of the world, that is contradiction, that is typical of the world we have created.”

Danny Young has taken to social media to call out Mavin queen, Tiwa Savage for allegedly stealing his lyrics for her new song, “One.”

According to the young singer, Tiwa Savage lifted some of his lyrics in his song ‘Oju Twon’ to make up her song ‘One’.

“I never knew I would be a victim of intellectual property theft until now. The worst pain is that my song was stolen by Tiwa Savage who happens to be one of my favourite female artists,” the singer wrote.

And from the video he shared, fans noticed the similarities in their verses.

However, while many people insist that it wasn’t intellectual theft as the verse was taken from a Yoruba proverb, others added that the Mavin queen included more lines beyond the said proverb.

Police apprehends Man who robs ATM users in Anambra (Photo)

A 30-year-old man identified as Obinna Okafor, who is an expert in robbing users of Automatic Teller Machines, has been arrested by men of the Anambra state police command.

Parading the suspect before newsmen yesterday November 22nd, the spokesperson of the state, Haruna Mohammed, said Okafor was arrested at the Nnewi branch of Access Bank by policemen on patrol.

“The suspect specialises in duping unsuspecting victims around Automated Teller Machine centres by swapping their ATM cards with other stolen cards in his possession. Operatives attached to the Nnewi Area Command, while on surveillance patrol around Access Bank, Nnewi, arrested one Obinna Okafor, 30 years, of Enugu-Ezike in Enugu State. He was arrested while withdrawing money using an ATM card stolen from a medical student in Nnewi.”

Eight different ATM cards and the sum of N120,000 withdrawn from his last victim’s account was found on him at the point of his arrest.

A Young Man has been taken into custody after he allegedly kidnapped his boss’ children in Lagos and stabbed them to death when his demand for a 3 million Naira ransom was not met.

The suspect, who has been the family’s driver for years, went to pick his boss’ three kids from school as usual last week but, rather than take them home, he drove them to a bush from where he called their mother, demanding a ransom of 3 million Naira.

The mother told him she didn’t have such amount and pleaded for the return of her kids. But the angry driver stabbed them all, killing the two boys and leaving the girl in critical condition.

The girl who is the elder of the three siblings is in the Intensive Care Unit of an undisclosed hospital.

Jewellery shop employees fight off robbers with swords

Four robbers were stunned after three Jewellery shop employees fought them off with swords, well we are so sure that wasn’t the sort of resistance they expected.

The shocking incident took place shortly after noon at Ashok Jewellers in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada according to Peel Regional Police.

It is normal for thieves to meet heavy security and other obstacles, but sword wielding employees is extremely weird.

CCTV footage from inside the store shows what appears to be four robbers smashing the shop window with what looks like a hammer.

But just as one of the robbers jumps through the window he is met by an employee, who charges towards him wielding a sword above his head.

A second employee then arrives with a sword to provide back-up, but he stacks it on his arse, knocking over a chair. In the moment, it probably wasn’t an appropriate time for laughter, but you can only hope the staff have shared a good chuckle upon watching the footage.

One of the robbers then points what appears to be a handgun in the direction of the employees, who duck behind the counter. But as the robber has a second stab at entering the window, the employees wield their swords once again, with a third employee also coming to the fore with a sword.

The men fled in a dark SUV and police haven’t identified any suspects as of yet.

This post would be too long if I start going into details on what I’ve been through trying to conceive. It’s bad enough I more or less had no choice but to conceive through IVF but when you start having multiple miscarriages and having to deal with the fact that my husband and I are AS, it takes my journey to another level.

I found out we were both AS after we got married (I’m still trying to decide if it would have made a difference if I found out before). The amount of tears I cried during my journey can fill an ocean. Majority of the tears came when I lost a set of twins (boy and girl) late in a pregnancy. That was when I truly knew what depression was. Now my lord God finally completes my family with a set of twins. TWINSSSSS ???. Gosh my God is too awesome!!! He can truly move mountains. Absolutely nothing is too big for him. I cry every time I realise how merciful the lord is. I pray every single married woman experiences the kind of joy I’m feeling. Thank you Father ??????????

Ayo Fayose reacts as EFCC reportedly seal off properties belonging to him

Ayodele Fayose placed under surveillance

Embattled Former Governor of Ekiti state, Ayo Fayose, has denied ownership of six properties EFCC operatives sealed off claiming that they belong to him.

There were reports yesterday that some properties linked to the governor in Abuja and Ekiti state, were sealed off with the sign ”EFCC, Keep off” placed on them. The sealing of the properties may be connected to a court order which authorised the seizure of the properties suspected to have been built with corrupt proceeds.

Reacting to the news, Fayose in a statement released by his media aide, Lere Olayinka, denied ownership of the sealed properties. He said the agency went about sealing off properties belonging to innocent citizens.

“I have just been informed that operatives of the EFCC are going about sealing houses of innocent people in the state, under the guise that the houses are linked to me. This is another wild goose chase and the usual media campaign against my person.

It is only in our country that an anti corruption agency will first go about sealing houses before determining the ownership, which can be done so easily by visiting relevant agencies. I am therefore, informing the public ahead of their usual blackmail and media trial. Please note that none of the property in question is owned by me and the records are there for anyone that is interested to see.

The EFCC is advised to stop going about looking for ways to malign my person just because of their hatred as a result of my uncompromising stands on national issues. Even if the commission is being pressured from ‘above’ to persecute me at all cost, it should at least, do its job diligently to save itself from persistent embarrassment”

Banky W Is A Special Kind Of Person And He Is In Politics For Nigerians, Not For Himself- Cobhams Asuquo

Nigerian music producer, Cobhams Asuquo has narrated how Banky W refused to get paid for an advert he produced many years ago.

According to Cobhams who produced the advert’s song which Banky laid his vocals to, that single experience he had with the singer makes him believe he is qualified for the public office he is running for.

In his words ;

The first time I met Banky was in 2008. I was writing an Etisalat commercial and I needed a certain style of voice on the song. I thought of the fresh new artist who sang the song “Ebutemetta” – BankyW. He was quite fresh on the naija music scene at that time, so I didn’t know anything about him. After a few calls, I was able to track him down only to learn he wasn’t in the country, but because I was determined to get his voice on the track, I stalled the project.

When we finally got into the studio to voice the commercial, we worked through the night and I was struck by how professional, hard working and good natured he was. He left quite an impression on me, but the biggest surprise was yet to come.

A few weeks later, I called him to confirm that the client had paid for the job and I had a cheque for him, but instead he flat out refused the cheque and didn’t want to be paid! He said he was just happy to have done the job. I was shocked. Why would an artist, especially a new one refuse good money for a major campaign for a big brand? I was absolutely blown away! But I was glad about how the story eventually turned out. The client loved the 0809ja song and wanted to meet the artist who sang on it to see him and know if he would be interested in also appearing in the TV commercial. One thing led to another and that’s how BankyW, a brand new artist on the naija scene, became an Etisalat ambassador and went on to perform all over the country that year for the brand. I would later learn that one of the ogas at the advertising agency believed so strongly that Banky would deliver on the commercial that he staked his salary on it. .

Fast forward to the present, Banky and I have developed one of the most treasured friendships I have in my life. With him I am able to have tough conversations. Nothing is off limits. He’s not ashamed or afraid to express brotherly love in a way that others may consider to be “uncool”. We became neighbours at a point and it wasn’t uncommon for Banky to pop in just to make sure that I and my family were doing OK, or to invite me to his house to listen to music. We have worked on several projects together and each time, Banky would always in addition to his own tasks, place it upon himself to make sure I was doing fine. It’s become such that when I have to work with a bunch of people in an unfamiliar space professionally or geographically speaking, just knowing Banky is there fills me with reassurance that I will be OK. I recall a friend’s wedding we traveled for. I didn’t travel with an aide. Banky was the Bestman and in the middle of his best man duties, he would always come check on me to make sure I was OK. Now, at this point you’ll probably think, “well, it’s because he’s your friend”, but the truth is that he is this same way with everyone, not just myself. It is just second nature to him to look out for others. He is one of the most naturally consistent people I know and there are many others who would testify to this.

It’s a special kind of person (especially in a time where corruption, selfishness and greed have practically become cultural “values”), that can start with practically nothing as he did, and over the years grow it into the successful brand and string of businesses we see today without tarnishing his image; while also maintaining the same stellar work ethic and positive attitude that anyone who has worked with him can attest to. I know because it all happened right in front of me. He has become an ambassador to many brands since we first met, and one thing anyone who has worked with him will tell you is that he is always professional, good spirited, conscientious and always ready to roll up his sleeves and get to work. At work or play, he will always arrive a few minutes early or exactly on time, and give his heart completely to whatever he had to do. In an industry that’s very …”interesting” to say the least, he is remarkably selfless and truly believes in love, service, friendship, togetherness and the power of community over the power of one. He is and has always been all these things and more, not because of any agenda. It is just the way he is.

In a time where originality is hard to find and is often called to question, Banky is one person I know to be authentic. I think that all of this makes him an ideal candidate for the position he’s trying to occupy. It’s not only about how I have seen him behave with me, but about how I have seen him behave with others. I see no reason to trust any one other than one who has shown themselves to be who they truly are; and who they are across the board has proven to always inspire. This is one of the few times in our National history, that a truly good person has taken that brave, political step forward to try to do some collective good. He is a testament to what you can do with a little hope. So I’m hoping that this time, we will not let ourselves down. Yes, ourselves. Not him. Because we finally have someone who is not in this race for himself, but for you and me. We finally have a real chance here, one we have long waited for. We can give this position to someone who not only truly deserves it, but who WE also deserve to have look out for US and OUR interests for once as Nigerians. Controversial OAP, Daddy Freeze has taken to his Instagram page to make no direct accusations but made an insinuation about Covenant University and the founder of the institution, Bishop David Oyedepo.

Freeze who is making these insinuations, is leaving conclusions open for his followers to interpret as they wish.

The OAP, who regularly criticizes the teachings of a number of pastors, shared a photo collage showing a number of powerful people posing with their hands steepled in the shape of a triangle.

The likes of Bishop Oyedepo, Donald Trump, Michelle Obama, Angela Merkel, Michelle Obama, Steve Harvey, were all in the photo collage with the same hand gesture.

Well, a lot of his followers interpreted the above picture collage to mean that he’s accusing them of throwing up the Illuminati sign.

But some others pointed out to the Radio presenter, that the gesture could also be a pose to show confidence.

The 42-year-old OAP also shared another photo showing the aerial view of Bishop Oyedepo’s school, Covenant University.

The spot on which the institution stands was circled with a red marker to show the school designed in the form of the Star of David, a symbol of Judaism.

He then shared a screenshot of a Wikipedia definition of Satanism, which happens to have the Star of David inside a circle as the symbol for Satanism.

He wrote;

” Wordless post.”

In another post, he shared the same star and said the Bible never referred to it as the Star of David, instead it is referred to in the bible as the star belonging to satan.

The police in Anambra State has arrested Mr Obinna Okafor, a 30-year-old man who specialises in robbing bank customers at Automated Teller Machine, ATM, points, while making withdrawals.

The state command’s police public relations officer, SP Haruna Mohammed said Okafor was arrested in Nnewi at an Access Bank branch by men of the force while on patrol.

He said the suspect specializes in duping unsuspecting victims around automated teller machine centres by swapping their ATM cards with another stolen ATM in his possession.

He said, “On the 20/11/2018, operatives attached to Nnewi Area Command while on surveillance patrol around Access Bank Nnewi arrested one Obinna Okafor ‘m’ aged 30 years of Enugu-Ezike in Enugu State.

“He was arrested while withdrawing money using ATM Card stolen from a medical student in Nnewi.”

Meanwhile, exhibits found in his possession include: eight different ATM cards reasonably suspected to have been stolen from his victims and sum of one hundred and twenty thousand naira (#120,000) already withdrawn from his victim’s account at the point of his arrest.

The case is said to be under investigation after which the suspect would be charged to court for prosecution.

The command assured the public of its commitments towards ensuring safety and security in the state.

A passenger who was caught up in a bus accident managed to take somewhat weird before and after selfies – his selfies has caused a frenzy online with people having mixed feelings over it.

Taking one selfie prior to climbing aboard, the unnamed man then took a second photo of himself in a very similar position – this time, however, his face was covered in dust and an upturned bus can be seen in the background with a number of passengers standing around.

Since the photos were shared on Twitter, there’s been mixed feelings towards it… Some finding humour in it…

“I shouldn’t be laughing. Why am I laughing? This was a trap.”

… to others taking it more seriously,

“Why am I not seeing the funny side to this? The man just survived an accident and I can’t help but wonder if everyone is alright.”

Beauty Entrepreneur and cosmetologist, Dencia took to her Twitter page to slam those criticizing her skin-whitening cream and the fact that Blac Chyna is coming to Lagos to promote them.

This comes after Burna boy slammed Blac Chyna on Wednesday and warned Nigerian women not to buy her products which he called “poison”. ICYMI

Ghanaina artiste, FuseODG also criticized the idea of bringing Chyna to Nigeria to launch a ‘bleaching’ cream. Popular Youtuber, Jackie Aina also joined the train as she called out Dencia stating that her products should be kept out of Nigeria.

Dencia has since fired back at them and even threatened to sue Aina for stating ‘lies’ about her products.

The 26-year-old singer was filmed threatening to sue a UK store after they wrongly accused his crew of stealing perfume during his tour.

In the video, Davido’s crew can be seen indulging in an argument with the store officials before the singer stepped out from his car and threatened to sue them for racism as he reminded them of his financial status.

Five longtime female friends who were bridesmaids at each other’s weddings have each won their state Senate races in this year’s midterm elections in the United States.

The women who are all Democratic candidates — Tammy Story, Faith Winter, Jessie Danielson, Brittany Pettersen and Kerry Donovan — all swept their state Senate in Colorado, People reported Wednesday.

The women, who call themselves “The Fab Five” helped flip the state Senate to a Democratic majority for the first time in five years, the publication noted.

Danielson, who currently serves as member of the Colorado House of Representatives, told the magazine:

We were all in it together.

Each of the women said they helped the others face negative criticism and slander during their campaigns.

Winter said:

Through the campaign, the five of us were very supportive of each other. We had several text chains where we would check in with one another and see how we were doing.

If a particularly bad ad or piece of mail came out, we would reassure each other on the text chain, ‘Have you seen the mail? It’s so awful, how are you doing?’

The friends are among the more than 2,000 women who are gearing up to take office in state legislatures nationwide next year.
