Following close to a month of peace, female hip-hop stars, Nicki Minaj and Cardi B‘s unending beef has sprung up again after the former threw a pronounced shade at the latter recently.
Nicki Minaj dropped a video for her track “Good Form” featuring Lil Wayne off her “Queen” album and she chose to hire sisters/video vixens/strip club bartenders, Baddie Gi and Jade to star in it.
The duo are currently preparing to sue Cardi, TMZ reports, after she allegedly ordered an attack on them in late August.
Cardi accused Jade of sleeping with her husband, Migos’ Offset. Jade accused Cardi of hiring five people to jump her at Queens’ Angels Strip Club. They allegedly punched her, pulled her hair and hit her with an ashtray.
Both women claim that hours after the attack, Cardi B entered the club and threw a bottle at the pair of them, and they suffered injuries in the assault. She has denied the allegations.
Nigerian singer, Terry G who recently released a new single, has disclosed that his baby mama doesn’t like his song even though she loves him.
According to Terry G, his baby mama with whom he has a six-year-old son was his biggest critic as regards his career.
He told Saturday Beats;
“My baby mama is not worried about the fact that we have not got married yet so people should not worry on our behalf. At the end of the day, what is marriage? I do not have a clue and I cannot jump into it. “We are still both young and by God’s grace, we have been through the struggles together. Most of my business is being handled by her. When we get to a certain age, we would do it (get married). I believe in the institution of marriage.
“She is the only child of her mother and the pressure seems to be more from her side (family) but she is in charge. She is a rich girl and in charge. She does not feel threatened by the fact that we are not yet legally married because she knows the kind of person that I am. She knows Gabriel, but does not know Terry G. She does not even like Terry G. She is not a fan of Terry G and she criticises my songs a lot. She is so classy.”
Omotola has revealed that her son doesn’t see her as a serious musician.
Recall the actress ventured into music in 2005 and released her debut album titled – Gba which had singles like Naija Lowa and The Things You Do To Me.
Speaking with Saturday Beats, Omotola says she has not given up on her music career as it is one of her first loves.
The veteran actress said;
“Did I tell anyone that I have retired from music? I hope to do a song with my son but he is very stubborn. He has his own way of doing things. I hope that in future, we can collaborate; I have a certain kind of music that I do, I like rock and soft rock. He is still young and he is experimenting.
“He is doing a lot of stuff. Obviously, he is enjoying himself because he is a ‘rave at the moment’ and maybe he is thinking that I have not ‘blown’ as a musician. I hope to prove myself in the music industry even more than my song, Gba, did. In future when I have built my own place, I would love to perform on stage instead of being commercial-oriented. I enjoy playing on stage more; I enjoy recording and performing. I hope to get there and do that so that people like my son can take me more seriously. My son knows that I am very good when it comes to music but he says, ‘It is not me you would use to blow.’”
The Federal Government has directed the vice-chancellors of public universities and inter-varsity centres to ensure that there’s no salary for striking ASUU lecturers.
In the memo by the National Universities Commission to universities’ VCs which was signed by the Director, Research, Information and Technology, Dr S. B Ramon-Yusuf, Vice Chancellors were directed to enforce the no-work-no-pay rule on the lecturers who are on strike, as payment of salaries from any other sources would be viewed as violation of extant rules and government’s directive.
The memo partly read;
“In view of the current Industrial action by the Academic Staff Union of Universities, the Federal Government has directed that there shall be no payment of any form of salaries and allowances to the staff on strike in federal and inter-varsity centres.
“Consequently, I am to direct vice-chancellors to apply the “No-work-no-pay” rule. However, universities and inter-varsity centres are to pay salaries and allowances to non-teaching staff. All Vice-Chancellors and Directors of Centers should note that the salaries to staff on strike from whatever source of funds shall be viewed as violation of extant rules and directive of the Federal Government of Nigeria.”
Chairman of the University of Ibadan chapter of ASUU, Dr. Deji Omole who reacted to the FG directive of no salary for striking ASUU lecturers, stated that it was shameful that the Nigerian government owe lecturers seven years of unpaid salaries and allowances and still want them to continue to work while the Presidency and the National Assembly members feed fat on the wealth of the nation.
The ASUU chairman who stated that the military government tried unsuccessfully to intimidate the collective will of Nigerian masses, added that a government that prides itself as having integrity should honour agreements reached with the union instead of resulting to harassment and intimidation of union members on a patriotic struggle to save public education in the country.
Olu Maintain has declared that his hit song, “Yahooze” was in no way connected to the ‘rampant internet fraud’.
The veteran singer said he was not the one that began the trend, stressed that his 11-year-old song (yahooze) didn’t promote the crime.
Olu Maintain added that his song was about an artiste that got a million dollar deal, and the video he shot for the song passed the message across clearly.
“When you create a body of art, people can misinterpret it the way they see fit. I mean, Yahooze is 11 years old and if you watch the video of the song, it was centered around an upcoming artiste that got a million dollar record deal. That was the message I presented with the song. Does the music video in any way represent Internet fraud? The answer is no.
“I cannot be responsible for how people interpret a work of art. It is like a painting, a man would value a painting for millions of dollars but to the other man, it does not make sense. Art should be subjected to everyone’s interpretation. My interpretation of that form of art was made very obvious,” he said.
The veteran singer who further told Saturday Beats why it’s been difficult releasing another hit song that could rival, Yahooze, said;
“It is a different generation and a different era with a different demography. As an artiste; as you grow, your core demography changes.
“Yahooze came out in an era when there was no social media. Today, people’s patience to digest any material is very short; 11 years ago, it was not like that. If you had a hit song, it could last for about two years but these days you are competing with so many bodies of work and it would take something special for you to have the same kind of buzz that a song like Yahooze had.”
Former President, George Herbert Walker Bush, the World War II veteran who was elected the 41st President of the United States and fathered the nation’s 43rd, died late Friday at the age of 94, his family announced in a statement.

Meanwhile, Tiwa has revealed that she only looks beautiful by the help of make-ups and push-up bras.
The music star said that in spite of the glitz and glamour she displays on social media, she sometimes feels depressed by low self-esteem.
Tiwa stated that sometimes she is intimidated by the glamour on social media.
“I get a lot of messages from young girls who are depressed with low self-esteem because they don’t feel pretty like the social media girls they see every day and my heart breaks because I feel like that too sometimes.
“We are all in this together, I’m not perfect, and not the prettiest, sexiest, richest but I’ll remain kind and seek after God’s heart because none of the others matters to Him.
“Ultimately God’s approval is all we need”, she said.
She added that contrary to public belief, she hardly sees herself as a pretty woman.
“Some people are born beautiful, flawless skin, long curly hair, fair skin but some of us grew up looking at the world’s definition of beauty and found ourselves not fitting into that standard but with the help of makeup, filters and push up bras we feel a little closer.
“What happens when you take all that off and you stare at yourself in the mirror, do you still think you are beautiful?
“You should because you are and when we meet our creator face to face it’s those with the kindest hearts that will stand as most beautiful.
“So while we work on the outside make sure we work on our hearts.”

“Long before the world knew it, long before they met on the set of The wedding Party, the pair had been dating albeit secretly. And the attraction was instant.
“There is no gainsaying it, their union is like one made in heaven and the romance has continued to grow from strength to strength and it is because of the way they have accepted each others flaws and they have always there for each other.

The Federal Government has described as “idiotic” claims that President Muhammadu Buhari was cloned.
Minister of Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, said this an interview with journalists in Abuja on Thursday
Rumours have been circulating that the President was cloned and that the man who is presiding over the affairs of the country is one Jibrin from either Sudan or Chad.
The rumour followed Buhari’s recovery after undergoing treatment for an undisclosed illness about two years ago.
The minister said, “It is idiotic to say the President is cloned. I don’t see any serious government responding to that.
“So, the same Jibrin that was cloned from Sudan or Chad is in Chad now? Isn’t that stupid?
“They even said he is from Chad. Yet, the same President is in Chad as we speak. The same Jibrin is remembering what the President did while in Petroleum Trust Fund and he is also remembering what he did when he was Head of State between 1983 and 1985.
“All the ministers do not know who is before them when they attend the Federal Executive Council meeting? The President remembers the memos he had seen or heard about in 1985 and we say he is cloned.
“So, Jibrin from Chad or Sudan will now remember all of these? It is too silly for the government to respond to this. It must be ignored.”

Sometimes I come back from work and meetings or sometimes it could just be some mental and physical work I’m doing in my house and I could just need some hug,” she said.

Despite languishing in jail as he awaits trial for racketeering and firearms charges, the embattled 22-year-old rapper, found time to send his love Jade a diamond-studded watch for her birthday.
Jade celebrated her 22nd birthday on Tuesday in New York City, and though unable to attend, the Internet personality sent her a 41mm Rolex, said to be customised with 18k white and rose gold and 24 carats of VS diamonds.
The lavish gift was hand-delivered to Jade by celebrity jeweller and ardent Tekashi supporter JimmyBoi.

Police in Niger State have reportedly apprehended a 35-year-old man, Shuaibu Ibrahim, for being in possession of a human eyeball – Ibrahim, who hails from Safiu village in Toto Local Government of Nasarawa State, told the police the eyeball was to be sold for N250,000.
According to police report, the suspect was arrested in the early hours of yesterday by police detectives attached to the Gawu-Babangida Division in Gurara Local Government Area of Niger State, while on routine patrol.
It was learnt that the eyeball was removed from a victim during a communal clash between Igbira and Bassa people in Nasarawa State.
It was also learnt that one of Ibrahim’s accomplices, identified simply as Ojo, now at large, gave the eyeball to the suspect to sell in Niger State for N250,000 before he met his waterloo.
Investigation showed that the suspect had been trafficking human parts to other states in the North to make quick money.
Responding to questions, the suspect said that he was the intermediary be-tween Ojo and the buyers of human parts, a business he had been doing for over five years.
He said,
“My duty is to deliver human parts given to me by Ojo to his clients across the northern states.
We make quick money in this business but I cannot tell what the buyers are using it for. “A lot of people are interested in buying human parts. But honestly speaking, I don’t know what they use it for; my duty is to deliver as at when due to our clients and collect the money involved.”
Asked whether the buyers use the human parts for ritual purposes, Ibrahim said
“they must be using it for something; frankly speaking I don’t know. My duty was to carry out the order of my boss (Ojo) to his clients. “I don’t even ask clients what they are using the human eyeballs to do, but I guess it must be for something serious.”
While confirming the incident, the state Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Muhammad Abubakar, said Ibrahim’s arrest followed information from a member of the public, who drew the attention of the detectives to the suspect.
Abubakar said the suspect confessed that the eyeball, which was meant to be sold at N250,000, was gotten from Nasarawa State during a communal clash in the area. The PPRO added that the matter would soon be charged to court after investigation.
Sonia Morales LaReina whose marriage to Nollywood actor, IK Ogbonna is said to have hit the rocks, has taken to her Instagram page to write that women need to be spoiled by a man.
The lovely Colombian beauty while sharing an interesting image of a ‘feminist jet’ speeding at the sight of ‘equal rights,’ but turning back at the sight of ‘equal responsibilities,’ shared her view on feminism by writing,
Jokers. Lol but y’all dont wanna talk about you NEEDING a woman to step up and take a part of “MALE RESPONSIBILITIES” and participate in hustle EQUALY (if not even more) as men do {cuz nowadays one person making bread can’t feed/sustain the whole family most of the time -meaning men partly failed in fulfilling their fundamental duty-*sorry*notSorry* fact only } or cuz you don’t want a babe who “just sits her ass at home and does nothing”(besides cooking,cleaning,raising kids,taking care of the whole home including you and maybe your parents too)*yuck unattractive* .
You want her to hold you down when times get hard but she must do it with her head down & she can’t just have a mind on her own when it comes to making decisions as she must “submit to u and show respect” so someone won’t feel a less of a man. But then, still expect her to carry on with ALL THE DOMESTIC & NON DOMESTIC DUTIES the very same way your great grandmother from the village did.
Oh wow! Otherwise we judge- is she really a “wife material” ? Bye! I’m not a bitter lady and I love and respect men (I’m raising one duhh) but don’t ever neglect the fact that A LOT is expected from a woman in this 21st century (it’s not even realistic) and very little credit is given in return, (just childbirth & pregnancy alone-is it beans?lol) and then ,when we stand for ourselves- “feminists this ,feminists that”.
We are indeed super humans. And im so sad when I see a fellow woman who is not aware how important is for us to support each other. And let me tell you straight up- I dont care how much money u make and how independent you are sis, or how strong you are to stand for yourself-you still deserve to be SPOILED and treated like a lady,a Queen that you are by any man who wants to tap into you blessings ,time and space.. Argue with ya whaaaat? ?you already know? All Love ?
