Former Algeria manager, Rabah Saâdane has revealed a very mysterious reason for Egypt’s 4-0 smashing of Algeria in the 2010 Africa Cup of Nations semi-final.

The Pharaohs absolutely dominated their Algerian counterparts in Angola after they went on to win their 7th Africa Cup of Nations title and their third on the trot.

Hosny Abd-Rabo, Mohamed Abdel-Shafy, Mohamed Zidan and Mohamed Nagy ‘Gedo’ scored the goals for Egypt, in a victory that came just two months after Egypt were controversially beaten by Algeria 1-0 in Sudan in the crunch-tie 2010 FIFA World Cup Qualifier.

Eight years later, then manager Rabah Saâdane has claimed that Algeria ‘gifted’ the match to Egypt after he was told to do so by those in power in Algeria.

“The match was 100% gifted to Egypt,” Rabah Saâdane said while on a show on Algerian TV when asked about the humiliating loss against Hassan Shehata’s men.

“I will explain it to you, they sent me the message to lose to Egypt and I declined to do so. They told me that our Egyptian friends need to win the Africa Cup of Nations and we are going to the World Cup, let them have it so that they don’t get more problems back home,” revealed Saâdane.

“Just two months after Omdurman. I refused to sell my country. They lost 4-0 because I refused to sell my country. I was in charge and I refused. When we went on the pitch I understood what was going to happen from the performance, it doesn’t matter if we lost 4-0, 5-0 or 6-0.

“I have no regrets, it is in the past,” concluded the 72-year-old.

Algeria went on to have a very poor World Cup in South Africa, losing two matches and drawing one as they finished bottom of their group and crashed out of the World Cup.

Man breaks into home, makes eggs, bathes and washed his clothes

An Alabama woman says a man broke into her house and made himself breakfast, took a bath, and washed his clothes.

According to the home owner, Mary Royster says she got home Tuesday and found a strange man who wouldn’t leave, he told her he was waiting for his clothes to dry.

Thirty-one-year-old Tyler Love is now back at the Limestone County jail on a charge of burglary. He had been released just last week after serving time for another burglary.

Royster says “every drawer” in her house had been searched through, and Love made himself scrambled eggs, took a bath, shaved and brushed his teeth.

Royster says finding the man in her home was scary, but he wasn’t violent and she can laugh about it now.

Donald Trump set to end United States birthright citizenship

US President, Donald Trump has announced he plans to terminate the right to citizenship for babies born on US soil to non-citizens, according to Independent UK.

Trump who is taking an increasingly hard-line stance on immigration, said the “process” to end birthright citizenship by executive order is underway, and denied such a fundamental change would need the input of congress.

“It was always told to me you need a constitutional amendment,” Trump told Axios on HBC. “Guess what, you don’t.”

“You can definitely do it with an act of congress, but now they’re saying I can do it just with an executive order,” the president continued.

“Now how ridiculous, we’re the only country in the world where a person comes in, has a baby, and the baby is essentially a citizen of the United States for 85 years with all of those benefits. It’s ridiculous, it’s ridiculous and it has to end.”

Asked if he had consulted White House lawyers about such a contentious move, Trump said he had and that it was “in the process, and it will happen”.

Any move by Trump to end birthright citizenship would almost certainly spark legal challenges that would force the courts to decide on its constitutionality.

Under the Immigration and Nationality Act, US citizenship is granted to any person born on US soil, and ultimately stems from the Fourteenth Amendment of the American constitution.

The 1868 amendment states: “All persons born or naturalized in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the State wherein they reside.”

Mikel, Onazi, dropped as Gernot Rohr names squad to face South Africa (See full list)

Super Eagles coach, Gernot Rohr has listed stand-in captain, Ahmed Musa and 22 other players for next month’s crucial 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying match between the Super Eagles and South Africa’s Bafana Bafana in Johannesburg.

Rohr also recalled former U17 World Cup-winning forward, Victor Osimhen after a long time out. He also handed another U17 World Cup winning forward Samuel Chukwueze earning his first call.

The same group will prosecute the friendly encounter against the Cranes of Uganda at the Stephen Keshi Stadium, Asaba three days later.

Also recalled for the game are Mikel Agu, who played some part in the 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifiers, and home-based defender Adeleye Aniyikaye.

Rohr left out Ogenyi Onazi and Wilfred Ndidi, who is ineligible for the match after bagging yellow cards in the away matches against Seychelles and Libya.

Francis Uzoho and Ikechukwu Ezenwa are among three goalkeepers; Olaoluwa Aina, William Ekong, Leon Balogun and Kenneth Omeruo are included among eight defenders; Oghenekaro Etebo and John Ogu are listed among three midfielders and; Odion Ighalo, Samuel Kalu and Alex Iwobi are among nine forwards.

The quintet of Henry Onyekuru, Chidozie Awaziem, Nyima Nwagua, Sunday Adetunji, and Junior Lokosa were placed on standby.

Nigeria, top of the Group E of the series with nine points battle eight–pointer and second-placed South Africa at the FNB Stadium, Johannesburg on Saturday, 17th November in one of the Matchday 5 fixtures.

Victory in the top-of-the-table encounter will automatically send the Eagles to the finals in Cameroon, with the second ticket in Group E to be down to a fierce call between the Bafana and the Knights.

Meanwhile, the Super Eagles will fly from Johannesburg to Asaba on 18th November for the friendly with the Cranes on 20th November.

All the invited players are expected to report direct in Asaba on Monday, 12th November.

UNILAG microbiology student commits suicide

According to a new report, a student of Microbiology, Niyi from the University of Lagos allegedly committed suicide because he had failed some of his courses.

The student has been identified simply as Niyi by one of his friends who was devastated by the news, while paying tribute to him, acknowledged that ‘school’ doesn’t necessarily determine your life and so, it’s not worth your life.

The friend wrote,

Mehn…today cannot get better…RIP Niyi…you were my boy in FIFA…its sad to know another mic student committed suicide….y’all are failing to understand that it’s not by all this school…school doesn’t determine your life…God will judge those behind these because y’all have kids too…Rest in peace brother….Till we meet again I love you but God loves you most…Microbiology is not worth your life …speak up…mehn I’m sad af

A twitter user, Temitope with the handle, @Israerll wrote: “This is the second time a student from the department of microbiology in UNILAG is committing suicide in a space of 3 years. Something isn’t right”

Another user, @theFURST1 wrote on twitter; Try as much as possible to talk to your friends always, everybody seems to act okay but they really are not. Depression is real, they just need spill their mind to. This microbiolgy Unilag student just commuted suicide. R.I.P NIYI

This comes some weeks after we reported of a final year B. Agric student of Michael Okpara University of Agriculture, Abia state who was found dead in his room, after he committed suicide by hanging.

The student, Louis Chigozirim Ihejirika killed himself at his hostel, Snow lodge, Umariaga. It was also gathered that he locked the door and closed the windows before committing the act.

His close friend, Nwachukwu Stella who announed his demise wrote;

With a heavy heart we the 400L students of B.agric (SIWES STUDENTS) announces the death of one of us by name Louis chigozirim Ihejirika who died mysteriously by hanging himself, at first we taught it was a joke but on getting to the scene ground I saw my man already dead,the whole doors and windows was locked but with the help of the 3 guys who went with me the almaco was forced open and behold Louis on a ceiling fan hook with white polo and his black jean trouser already dead.

I know we can’t question God but I strongly believe he should have an answer and reason behind this death,as we embark on a prayer we believe God will reveal everything hidden in the eyes of man that propelled this handsome,brilliant and sound young man to take his own life by Hanging. Louis you have been my close friend and departmental mate but at this point I am heartbroken because there is nothing in this life that can make you take your own life without seeking my advice. But I pray God to give your family the fortitude to bear this irreparable loss.

Rapper, Cardi B, is certainly at Nicki Minaj‘s throat after the latter took to Queen Radio to say her friend and reality star, Rah Ali was the one who beat Cardi B and gave her the knot on her head.

Cardi B’s sister, Hennessy had earlier blasted Nicki and Rah, claiming it was Nicki’s security, not Rah who hit her during the infamous Fashion Week attack on Nicki.

Nicki took to Queen Radio to confirm it saying ”Rah really really beat her so bad”.

She also claimed they let them run with the story of security beating her up to avoid any possible lawsuit by Cardi B.

She’s heard saying,

“Rah really, really beat Cardi’s ass bad.

“Rah beat you so bad, I was mad at Rah. You went home and told people security hit you, and we let that ride for legal reasons,” Minaj added of her pal, who costarred on season 6 of VH1’s Love & Hip Hop: New York with Cardi.

This Year’s Edition of Lagos Fashion week might has come and gone, but the memory will forever linger in our mind. The event which is the biggest Fashion show in Nigeria brought together top guns in the fashion industry worldwide to view current collections of African designers. The 2018 event started on the 24th of October and came to an exciting end on Saturday 28th October, and we’re still in a nostalgic mood.

I write this cuz a lot of young girls like me in boarding schools away from their parents need older girls like Belinda to tell their story so young girls like me can learn & action is taken fast.A lot of girls don’t get lucky, some end up with cancerous lump which can turn into CANCER. U are never too young & never too old, let’s be our sister’s keeper, I was just a curious young girl, a lot of girls aren’t that curious.

P.S I ended up with a keloid scar for many years & I noticed last night it was completely gone, u can’t even tell I had this surgery which is super crazy, I was treating it will stretch mark cream from whitenicious & lightening it & it’s completely gone which is rare. Thank God

Real Madrid sacks Coach, Julen Lopetegui.

Real Madrid has sacked coach Julen Lopetegui after just two months in charge with the side ninth in La Liga following a humiliating defeat to Barcelona.

The 5-1 El Clasico defeat at Camp Nou Sunday proved the final straw for Lopetegui, who was dismissed from his position as Spain coach on the eve of the World Cup after agreeing to take charge of Real for the start of the 2018/2019 season.

An official club statement thanked Lopetegui for his efforts but said the decision “aims to change the dynamics of the first team, when all the objectives of this season are still achievable.”

The board understands that there is a big difference between the quality of Real Madrid‘s squad, which has eight players nominated for the next Ballon D’Or, something without precedent in the history of the club, and the results obtained to date.”

Santiago Solari, the Real Madrid B coach, will take over on an interim basis. The club gave no indication of who they would appoint permanently.

Under Lopetegui, Los Blancos has won just four out of 10 league games and suffered a Champions League defeat to CSKA Moscow.

Zinedine Zidane left his role as Real boss in May this year having led his former club to nine trophies in a two-and-a-half year spell, including three consecutive European titles.

His lawyer, Mike Ozekhome, a senior advocate of Nigeria said “yes he has been released. He has perfected his bail conditions and was released this evening. I was with him and he was in a very high spirit, vowing to fight till this clueless administration is voted out of power”.

Fayose’s spokesperson, Lere Olayinka, wrote, “Fayose just regained his freedom. He left the Federal High Court, Ikoyi a few minutes ago. We will meet EFCC at the court from November 19. Thank you Nigerians.”

Fayose was arraigned at a High Court in Lagos after he presented himself at the office of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission in Abuja. He was later granted a N50 million bail, but failed to meet the conditions on Friday.

“Government should deduct tithes from workers’ salaries and forward to Church” – Cleric

Most Reverend Cyprian Kizito Lwanga, a Catholic Archbishop of Kampala, Uganda, has proposed that the central government deducts 10% from the monthly salaries of workers, and forward the deductions directly to the church.

He stated this at St. Mary’s Cathedral, Rubaga during mass, according to Citizen TV. He said non-payment of tithes affects project development in the church.

His words:

“Whenever we ask for tithe, everyone gives only what they have at that time. But the Bible says a tenth of whatever you earn belongs to the church.

Give me your support as I front this proposal because it is good for us.

Aren’t you tired of putting money in the baskets all the time?”

Lwanga said he wanted Uganda to toe the line of Germany, where citizens who are registered as Catholics, Protestants or Jews have a church tax (Kirchensteuer) of 8 to 9% deducted from their annual income.

The church tax is collected by the government and channeled to the respective faiths.

“I was told Germans make agreements with their government to deduct monthly tithe from their salaries and forward it to the church and this money they use to build and renovate their churches,” he added.

Driver arrested for raping neighbour’s 2-year-old daughter in Lagos

A 38-year-old commercial bus driver, Sola Ewulo, has been arrested for alleged defilement of his neighbour’s two-year-old daughter on Taiwo Street, Agbado-Ijaiye, Lagos.

According to a report by The Nation, the suspect was arrested on October 24 after the victim’s mother reported that sperm was seen dripping from her body.

Police Commissioner Imohimi Edgal said the victim’s mother had allegedly left her in the custody of the suspect to run an arrand, an allegation Ewulo refuted.

Edgal said:

“When she returned after a couple of minutes, she could not find her daughter nor the man she left her with. Much later, she saw her daughter on the corridor of the house scratching her private parts and she complained about the pains she was experiencing.

On closer examination by her mother, she noticed some whitish substance dripping out of her private parts.” Alarmed by the discovery, Edgal said the victim’s mother asked her who did that to her and she mentioned Ewulo.

However, Ewolu denied the allegation, insisting that he went out for a job he was called to do. He said:

“I was not even around. It is not true that the mother left her with me. She usually left her with neighbours not anyone in particular.

That day, I was not even around. I was told that sperm was seen on the child’s body and she said I was the one that did it. I do not know anything about it. I have three daughters and so, how will I do that to a little girl?

However he has confirmed that this was not for sporting reasons, but due to a break down in relations with the club’s president – Florentino Perez.

Perez is renowned as a shrewd, ruthless operator and according to an interview with ‘France Football’, his treatment of Ronaldo as a commodity rather than a person angered the former Manchester United man.

“I felt it inside the club, especially from the president, that they no longer considered me the same way that they did in the start,” he commented.

“In the first four or five years there, I had the feeling of being ‘Cristiano Ronaldo’. Less afterwards. The president looked at me through eyes that didn’t want to say the same thing, as if I was no longer indispensable to them, if you know what I mean.

“That’s what made me think about leaving. Sometimes I’d look at the news, where they were saying I was asking to leave. There was a bit of that, but the truth is that I always had the impression that the president would not hold me back.

”If it had all been about money, I’d have moved to China, where I would have earned five times as much than here [at Juventus] or at Real. I did not come to Juve for the money. I earned the same in Madrid, if not more. The difference is that, at Juve, they really wanted me. They told me that and made it clear. They showed me that.”

He continued to criticise the Real chief, saying: “He only ever looked at me as a business relationship. I know it. What he told me never came from the heart.”

It had been suggested that Ronaldo left due to Zinedine Zidane’s departure as manager but he denied this, saying: “My decision to leave was not based on his departure. That being the case, it’s one of those little things that made me feel a bit better in terms of what I thought of the situation at the club.”
