The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) says its Presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, is set to revamp the nation’s economy through the creation of qualitative employment for the youths.
The party says its candidate will also implement the political and economic restructuring of our nation in a manner that will engender unity, inclusiveness in governance and upliftment in the general standard of living for all people.
‘Atiku will open a system-wide fight against corruption as soon as he is elected into office by strengthening the institutions empowered by our laws to do their jobs, while he concentrates on the onerous duty of governance and rescuing our people from hunger, starvation, bloodlettings and wanton killings’ the party said.
The rebranded PDP assures that all those looting the national treasury, including those now enjoying President Buhari’s official cover, will definitely face the wrath of the law and go to jail, because the Atiku Abubakar administration will not only fight poverty but will also uncompromisingly fight corruption.
The party noted that a combination of Atiku Abubakar and his running mate, Peter Obi, known internationally for their forthrightness, hardwork, ingenuity and managerial competencies, guarantees a prudent and result-oriented administration that will liberate our nation from the economic shackles that President Buhari’s wasteful, notoriously incompetent, and deceptive administration has plunged us into.
Atiku Abubakar comes with the Nigerian resilient entrepreneurial spirit to once again open up our economy, attract investments, create jobs and unite our citizenry for a more productive nation. Already, our candidate, as a successful entrepreneur, has perfected an economic template that will reduce the cost of governance, plug wastages, tackle corruption, free our national resources currently being squandered by the Buhari administration and channel them for the welfare of the people.
What Nigerians earnestly desire now is a resourceful President, not an incompetent leader who lacks the capacity to run a complex economy; who stays aloof and completely insensitive to the plights of citizens, while providing official cover for his officials to fritter away trillions of naira from our beleaguered national treasury.
Our youths are earnestly seeking for an in-charge President, not one who rules by proxy. Nigerians seek a President who will not watch helplessly while marauders and insurgents kill our brothers and sisters in their numbers; whose only achievement is plunging our nation into economic recession, collecting foreign loans and accumulating debts with nothing to show.
PDP holds that President Buhari has failed on all fronts. He has failed on the economy, on security and on the fight against corruption. This 2019 election is therefore, a direct referendum on these failures and the determination of Nigerians to choose a new leader who will rescue our nation from the throes of hunger and starvation.
The 2019 election will never be about character assassination or mouthing some worn-out sloganeerings about corruption but will be about a demonstrable capacity to deliver on the mandate. The Buhari Presidency by now knows that Nigerians are not buying their smear campaign against Atiku Abubakar as Nigerians have seen that all the Buhari Presidency had done in its almost four year term is paying lip service to fighting corruption while its members swim in an ocean of corruption.
Instead of this unnecessary fixation on our candidate, the PDP challenges President Buhari to step out and give account of his failed stewardship; how he ran down a once robust economy in a space of three years; why he is running a corrupt administration; why his administration failed to protect our slain compatriots and how trillions of naira are stolen under the cover of his Presidency.
Finally, the PDP forewarns all looters in the Buhari Presidency, including those involved in the alleged stealing of over N14 trillion from several sleazy oil deals; the alleged undisclosed oil revenue leading to the deadlock at the Federal Accounts Allocation Committee (FAAC); alleged stealing of funds meant for Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) among other sleazes covered by the Buhari Presidency, to get ready to vomit their loots and face the law in no distant time
About two weeks ago, Nollywood actress, Mercy Aigbe was in the news after it was alleged that her newly acquired mansion wasn’t acquired by her but by a ‘sugar daddy’ of hers, who is said to be a governor.

It is thanks to a special, durable coating that should last throughout intercourse, says the team, backed by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation.
They hope it will make condoms more appealing to use and thereby prevent sexually transmitted infections (STIs) as well as unwanted pregnancies.
Without enough lubrication, sex can be painful and condoms may split or slip.
When used correctly, condoms are a highly effective contraceptive, but not everyone likes them.
They are often already lubricated to make them easier to use, but sometimes this might not be enough for comfort.
People can add lubricant, but this can be messy and may need several applications, interrupting sex.

Researchers say the self-lubricating condom, which becomes really slippery once it comes into contact with body fluid, should get round this.
It could withstand intercourse involving at least 1,000 thrusts without losing its slipperiness, the Royal Society Open Science journal reports.
According to the researchers, intercourse typically lasts half that time, but some sessions are longer.
The police have arrested a woman, with the name, Hawa Yinusa said to be the leader of a vicious gang specialized in kidnapping and robbery in Nasarawa-Abuja-Plateau axis.
Hawa was apprehended along with two other suspects, Nura Dahiru and Buhari Hamisu – one other gang member was killed in the exchange of fire with the Inspector General of Police Strike Force.
Police revealed they recovered from them three AK47 Rifles, 38 bullets and a Honda Hennessy car belonging to one of their latest victims, a businesswoman identified as Aisha Haruna.
Hawa, from Masaka in Nasarawa state was arrested when she went to Aisha Haruna’s bank, owner of the Honda car, to withdraw Aisha’s money.
The police said Aisha was killed by the gang and her body abandoned in the bush at Uke town in Nasarawa. The bales of clothes in the car were stolen as well.
“Hawa Yinusa further went to court and swore to an affidavit claiming that the victim was her sister before she died and was in the process of withdrawing from the Bank about One Million Naira (N1,000,000.00) belonging to the victim before she was arrested,” said the police spokesman Jimoh Moshood.
“The suspect, Hawa Yinusa and her gang have carried out several kidnappings between Abuja, Nasarawa and Plateau States. They have also been involved and confessed to other forms of kidnappings of innocent people, collecting their ATM Cards and withdrawing their money before releasing them. Some of their victims have come forward to the Police investigator and identified them.
“They will be charged to court on completion of Investigation”, the police said.
A South African Lady identified as Lindi Basi, who works as stripper/dancer, has been slammed by online users for shaming one of the alleged victims of Nigerian pastor Timothy Omotoso.

Jay Inslee, the 23rd Governor of Washington state, has appointed a Nigerian, Edirin Okoloko, to Snohomish County Superior Court as a judge.
“Edirin has a clear dedication to the legal profession and a successful history of bringing justice to some of our state’s most vulnerable crime victims. He will be an excellent addition to the bench in Snohomish County” Inslee said.
Okoloko will replace Judge George Bowden who is retiring. Okoloko, who bagged his Bachelor of Law from the University of Benin in Nigeria and received a law degree from the Seattle University School of Law, has worked for the past 13 years in the Snohomish County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office, where he is a Deputy Prosecuting Attorney working on homicide, sexual assault, child abuse, and elder abuse cases.
He has also worked in the office’s violent crime, property crime, and District Court units, and he represents the office on the Snohomish County Multiple Agency Response Team which investigates incidents of suspected excessive force by police officers.
He has successfully prosecuted four murder trials and has been recognised by his office for completing a high volume of jury trials. Before working as a prosecutor, Okoloko served as a judicial law clerk for former Snohomish County Superior Court Judge Michael Downes.

A Kenyan pastor living in the United States has become the centre of online debate after Kenyans in the diaspora accused him of scamming them by holding three pre-weddings in succession.
The pastor identified as Stanley Mwea is said to have had two pre-weddings in different states with his previous fiancé, Susan Kangethe, whom he broke-up with just before their wedding.

The Nigerian Prisons Service (NPS) has said that 35 inmates of the Jos prison will participate in the 2018 Nov/Dec Senior School Certificate Examination (SSCE) of the National Examination Council (NECO).
DSP Luka Ayedoo, the Public Relations Officer (PRO) of the Plateau Command of NPS made this known in a statement in Jos on Sunday. Ayedoo said that the inmates who comprised of 32 males and three females were adequately prepared to take social science and commercial subjects in the examination.
According to him, the examination fees of the inmates were paid by the Industrial Training Fund (ITF), as part of activities marking its 47th anniversary.
“35 inmates of Jos Prison have been duly registered for the 2018 NECO external examination. The inmates 32 of who are male and 3 females have been prepared to take subjects in social sciences and commercials.
This examination is one of the numerous reform programs available to prepare inmates towards smooth reintegration into the society, upon discharge,’’ Ayedoo said.
The PRO explained that the Service had deployed resources to attract productive partnership towards providing quality education and vocational skills for inmates across the command.

American singer, Alicia Keys surprised her husband, Swizz Beatz with a brand new Aston Martin for his 40th birthday.
In the video shared online, Alicia hushes everyone before a blindfolded Swizz steps out of a car. Alicia then leads him into World of Wheels, where the Bronx native had been eyeing a 2019 Aston Martin Vantage.

Nigerian singing sensation, Omawumi, took a swipe at the head of states, President Buhari and Atiku Abubakar who are the presidential candidates of the two major parties in Nigeria.
Omawumi who was admonishing her fans at the Felabration concert, where she performed, told them to do the right thing even though the two major parties have an incompetent old man and someone who is somehow corrupt as their Presidential candidates.

Popular show promoter Kogbagidi last week lashed out at YAGI Boss, Lil Kesh saying the singer didn’t have what it takes to become a leading artiste again.
While reacting to Kogbagidi’s statement, Kesh tweeted that the Internet is like a market square and those who can’t take care of their baby mamas would always want to take out their anger on others.
However, in a chat with Sunday Scoop, Kogbagidi said the singer must have taken excess alcohol when he posted the tweet.
He said:
“I am happily married and blessed with kids. I only have a woman in my life and she is not a Nigerian. If you check my Instagram page, you will see photos of my family. If he (Lil Kesh) says I have a baby mama, he must have taken something strong. My wife and children live in the United Kingdom and I visit them frequently.”
He also said Kesh had nothing on him, insisting that he only made an honest assessment of his music and growth.
The show promoter stated:
“The entertainment industry is all about talent and creativity. Over the years, a lot of new acts have been discovered and more are still coming in. After Lil Kesh left YBNL, Olamide has signed new artistes. What I said shouldn’t be an issue as I was only evaluating the industry. I don’t have anything against him and I am not trying to pull him down. I am a fan of Lil Kesh, but he is not doing well at the moment.
“He needs to be creative. He should take what I said and work on his music. If he puts out something nice, I will speak well of him. I have called him for shows many times and paid him fully. If he has taken what I said personally, it means he is not a good artiste.”
According to Kogbagidi, Kesh is below him regardless of how much he has made in life.
He said:
“I am a show promoter; I have never begged him for money and I have never owed him money for any show. I have dealt with people bigger than him in the industry. If I go to him tomorrow with a show worth N10m, he cannot reject it.”
