Seventy-six Boko Haram terrorists, among others, trying to overrun Nigeria’s military formation in Metele, near Kangarwa in Borno, have been killed.
In what was a double blow to the terrorists, Chadian troops also killed another 48 terrorists on the same day.
According to the Nigerian Army Twitter posts, the gallant troops of the 157 Battalion overwhelmed the terrorists, with superior firepower, as they attempted to attack Nigerian positions on 8 October.
“The sustained superior firepower of the troops led to the neutralisation of 76 BHT. Unfortunately, the Nigerian Army lost seven soldiers while 16 were wounded in action.
The Chief of army staff, Lt. General Buratai has commiserated with the families of the deceased and directed that the wounded be given adequate medical attention”.
In Chad, eight soldiers and 48 Boko Haram militants were killed in clashes on Wednesday, officials said. The early morning attack took place in Kaiga Kindji in the Lake Chad region, army spokesman Azem Agouna said, adding that 11 other soldiers were wounded.
The Boko Haram terrorists also regularly launch offensives in Niger and Cameroon. Since 2009, tens of thousands of people in the region have died at the hands of the Sunni fundamentalists and an estimated 2.5 million people fled their homes. The group’s goal is to enforce a strict interpretation of Islamic law, or sharia.
Yup! That headline beats me just as it beats you too! Hard to believe right?! Female celebrities who are virgins… Hmph! It sparks every iota of skepticism and you cannot but wonder who these celebrities are!
Well, we wouldn’t say we know them personally and can tell if they really are.., but thanks to past interviews and previous reports, we’ve been able to come up with a list of female celebrities who have at some point in their career claimed not to have ever been with a man before. (This is according to them, not us!)
See them below:
ADOKIYE
Nigerian pop singer, Adokiye in an interview spoke about not being in a relationship and when she was asked about getting intimate with the opposite sex, she said: “Haba, what is a young girl getting laid for, I’m still a virgin”
She had at the time also caused a social media storm by offering her virginity to Islamic militants Boko Haram in exchange for the return of hundreds of kidknapped schoolgirls.
However, the musician and actress from the country’s Imo State, who is also a UN Ambassador of Peace, took the protest to the next extreme.
“It is just unfair. They are too young. I wish I could offer myself in exchange,” she told Nigerian publication Vanguard.
“They are between 12 and 15 year old girls for Christ sake. I am older and more experienced. Even if 10 to 12 men have to take me every night, I don’t care. Just release these girls and let them go back to their parents.”
CHIDINMA
The decency and moderateness of this beautiful short and sweet singer can make us believe that she really is – I personally would refer to her as the “Virgin Queen” Elizabeth I, that is if of course she is a virgin!
Like the Virgin Queen, this beauty sure knows how to keep every man drooling over her, yet committing to none… stirring up mysteries of love affairs around her!
During an interview, some years back, she declared she has never been intimate with a man before.
She had reacted to her alleged compromising video scandal in 2013 by maintaining that it wasn’t her that people saw in the video that went viral and that as a matter of fact, she’s still a virgin.
She said:
“I didn’t make any compromising video o, I have no idea where that tape is from and I am still a v*rgin o!” she said
SEYI HUNTER
Many had thought that Afro-pop singer, Adokiye, could possibly be the last of the virgins in the Nigerian entertainment industry after she declared it in a chat with Vanguard’s Potpourri.
But there were obviously others, at least one other, as Seyi Hunter also came out to declare she is a virgin as well.
When asked in a Vanguard interview about s-ex and money, which was more important to her in a relationship, the actress said:
I know nothing about s-ex, I’m a virgin. Money is more important to me in a relationship.
TOOLZ
Yes, yes! You’re clamouring that she married now! We know she is too! Durrhh… But the gorgeous media personality deserves an honorary mention as according to her, she kept herself until after her marriage.
The OAP once revealed she’s never been intimate with a man before while answering questions via her Twitter page. She also confessed that one of her hips is artificial.
ANNABELLA ZWNYNDILA
Fast rising actress and product of AMBO reality TV show – Adamawa State-born actress, Annabella Zwyndila told whom it may concern that her virginity is still intact despite massive s*xual harassment in the movie industry.
The Adamawa State-born actress even boasts that nothing would make her lose her virginity to another man except her husband.
She revealed this in an interview she granted which was published by the Sun, where she acknowledges the challenges are enormous, but there is no going back on her decision to remain a virgin.
She said:
“A role that is supposed to be yours is taken from you because of one or two requests that you can’t meet. So, s*xual harrassment is not only in the movie industry. It is everywhere… That side of me is dead until I get married. Aside avoiding pre-marital s*x, I am also a born again Christian and I fear God a lot. I can remember while we were growing up we had that lesson about s*xually transmitted diseases and the fear of all those things really kept me away from s*x. So, if I must have a relationship we must enter into agreement of no s*x.”
Popular Nigerian On Air Personality, Tolu “Toolz” Oniru has said that being married is not the ultimate goal of life, stating that happiness and peace is the goal.
The OAP warned single people about letting people’s opinions make them rush into marriage.
She shared a picture with the text;
Being married is not the ultimate goal of life. Being happy and at peace is
She then captioned the image text,
Imagine letting people rush you into marriage…only to end up miserable with the wrong person….and then the people that pressured/rushed you leave you to deal with your mess?? Don’t let anyone rush you….

Months after appointing its first minister for loneliness, Britain named a minister for suicide prevention as part of a new push to tackle mental health issues.
Prime Minister Theresa May, on Wednesday, announced the appointment of the health minister Jackie Doyle-Price to the new role.
She will lead government efforts to cut the number of suicides and overcome the stigma that prevents people with mental health problems from seeking help.
While suicide rates have dropped in recent years, about 4,500 people take their own lives each year in England. It remains the leading cause of death for men under age 45, according to government research.
“We can end the stigma that has forced too many to suffer in silence,” Mrs. May said on Wednesday at a Downing Street reception to commemorate World Mental Health Day.
“We can prevent the tragedy of suicide taking too many lives. And we can give the mental well-being of our children the priority it so profoundly deserves.”

A Nigerian actress, Maryam Charles has given quite the advice to her fellow ladies who love getting credit alerts regularly.
According to her, ladies are in total control of their man’s ‘prick’ and so they could use that to their advantage to get money out of them.
The actress took to her IG page, @maryamcharles to dish out advice to ladies, telling them that once their man gets to the stage where he thinks only with his ‘prick’, that’s when they strike.
She wrote,
Ladies need to start facing the reality that we all like (in fact love) to receive credit alerts from our banks or some cash for anything. Who doesn’t like the feelings that comes with credit alert?
If you know your man is the not so giving type of man, the only advantage you have over him is your feminine power, make sure ‘konji’ has descended heavily on him to the point that he cannot think with his brain, but to follow the instructions of his prick… however, who controls this prick? YOU!
Make sure you control the prick to bring out some cool cash from his pocket… tease him seductively, act like you’re almost on cloud 9, in fact, moan out of ecstasy to drive him crazier… when the process is on, do not allow him get under your pant yet so he can dance to your tune.
Table your needs while he’s anticipating the real play of sekx, pretend to be suddenly sad remembering you need the stuffs listed and watch how he’ll horridly tell you where he keeps his money in the house to go get any amount you need or he’ll pick up his phone to transfer all the money in his account to yours.
Make sure you don’t fall for any “baby I’ll make the transfer when we’re done, let’s get this over with first” story, else, you’re on your own ooo. Who no like money?

Pastor Chris Oyahilome’s daughter, Carissa and her husband, Philip Frimpong have been in the news because of their star studded wedding which held over the weekend.
Here’s all the tea from their love story: “Carissa, was born in Switzerland to Pastor Chris and Anita Oyakhilome while Philip grew up in Amsterdam, and as fate would have it, they somehow found their way to the UK where they met.
1. How they Met
Philip met Sharon in 2013, at the UK Higher Life Conference. Although he was really hyped about Pastor Chris being there, he couldn’t help but notice Sharon’s amazing song ministration, so yeah! He asked her about the song.
She was walking fast, so he greeted her to get her attention and somehow they got talking and it just blossomed into an organic friendship that has been amazing since.
2. Love at first sight
With a huge smile, He said: “Deep down, I knew I’d be in Sharon’s life forever and she’d be in mine” and that’s how it was.
With tears in her eyes, She said: “He’s been my best friend for many years and I’m actually just so grateful”
3. The proposal
And on the 27th of November last year, he popped the question and she definitely said yes! and the lovebirds took to Instagram to gush about it.
4. Never dated
She also revealed that they never dated, but went straight to marriage plans after they were both love struck.
A thief who had a charm in his mouth, got electrocuted while attempting to steal copper from a PHCN installation in the Karu area in Abuja last night, October 9th.
His body has been brought down from the electric pole and has been deposited in the morgue.
In the graphic photos, the lifeless body of the shirtless thief is seen hanging on the electric pole.
A viral video shows a Ghanaian pastor speaking candidly about sex – according to the clergyman, most Ghanaian married women have never experienced orgasm in their entire life.
While giving a sermon at a wedding reception, the pastor advised married couples to have sex anywhere, toilet, bathroom, kitchen and other fantastic places.
The fact that the pastor was quite open about sex, which is rather rare among men of God, has made the video of his preaching go viral on social media.
Last Sunday, 7th of October, 2018, physically challenged Nigerian lifestyle blogger, Lizzy Omoraghon, and her lovely husband dedicated their daughter in church.
The couple who got married in September 2016, had their baby in August this year.
A Nigerian lady has made it her mission to dish out a PSA to Nigerian men, telling them that if they ‘whip’ their girlfriends without giving them money, then they have a special place in the bottomless pit.
In a video now making the rounds online, a young lady, obviously Nigerian, speaks in pidgin English as she tells her fellow ladies to find an escape route from any boyfriend who has sex with them without giving them money.
She says she doesn’t buy the idea of love as there’s ‘no love’ anywhere – according to the lady, if you don’t give her money, she can’t love you.
