Juventus forward, Cristiano Ronaldo, has responded to the rape accusations against him, published in a German magazine. Ronaldo’s lawyers are to take legal action against Der Spiegel over ‘blatantly illegal’ allegations by an American woman she was raped nine years ago by the star.
Kathryn Mayorga, aged 34, was unveiled on Friday as the woman who has accused Ronaldo of sexually assaulting her in a Las Vegas hotel room in 2009.
Ronaldo took part in an Instagram live earlier this week where he responded to fans’ questions on a variety of topics. It is unclear what was the exact question asked before Ronaldo seemingly dismissed the allegations.
Looking into the camera, he said:-
“No, no, no, no, no. What they said today? Fake, fake news. They want to promote themselves by using my name. It’s normal. They want to be famous to say my name, but it is part of the job. I am a happy man and all good.”
According to reports, the Juventus star was on holiday in Sin City in 2009 with his cousin and brother-in-law when he met the part-time model. During the alleged incident, she claimed Ronaldo fell to his knees and said he was ’99 per cent a good guy’ who was let down by the one per cent.
According to documents filed at Clark County District Court on Friday, the footballer, invited Ms Mayorga and a friend to his penthouse suite ‘to enjoy the view of the Las Vegas Strip’.
Ms Mayorga claims she refused to get into his hot tub because she did not want to ruin her dress, then Ronaldo offered her some shorts and a T-shirt and pointed her towards a bathroom where she could change.
The documents add: ‘The plaintiff [Ms Mayorga] refused and stated she wanted to leave the hotel suite. Upon leaving the bathroom, Ronaldo pulled the plaintiff into a bedroom and on to a bed and attempted to engage in sexual intercourse. Plaintiff refused… and covered herself in an attempt to prevent sexual penetration.’
According to the papers, the striker then turned Ms Mayorga on to her side, and that even though she was screaming ‘no, no, no!’, she was raped by the star.
The documents claim the footballer confirmed the pair had sex but said it was consensual.
Ms Mayorga alleges she reported the incident to Las Vegas police later that day and went to hospital where evidence of the alleged rape was documented and photographed.
The court documents state that as she was changing, Ronaldo entered the bathroom, exposed himself and asked her to perform a sex act.
he later hired a lawyer, and in 2010 negotiated a £287,000 out-of-court settlement. As part of that deal, she agreed never to go public with her allegations.
But the new claim seeks to overturn that settlement, which she says she only signed because she was ‘terrified of retaliation’ from Ronaldo and of ‘being publicly humiliated by being identified as a victim of sexual assault’.
She says she has been left traumatised by the incident and has now gone public, in part because of the #MeToo movement in which women have shared their tales of abuse.
Ronaldo claimed Ms Mayorga’s injuries were caused by another person.
It was later said that Ronaldo allegedly paid her £287,000 as an out-of-court settlement which contracted her to never speak about her claims.
According to court documents Germany’s Der Spiegel claims to have seen, Ronaldo insists the sex was consensual. His lawyers, Schertz Bergmann Rechtsanwälte, issued a statement denying Mayorga’s rape claim saying they would sue for “compensation for moral damages”.
President Muhammadu Buhari says he will continue to work tirelessly to promote, protect and preserve a united, peaceful, prosperous and secure Nigeria, where all, irrespective of background, can aspire to succeed.
The president gave the assurance in his nationwide broadcast to mark the nation’s 58th Independence Anniversary in Abuja on Monday.
President Buhari enjoined all citizens to continue to promote the values, virtues and common aspirations that unite Nigerians rather than engaging in divisive tendencies.
He said: “As we celebrate the 58th Anniversary of our independence, we know we are on the right path. Although we have our differences, they count for far less than the values, virtues and common aspirations that unite us as a nation.
“We have so much for which we should be grateful, and in which we should rightly take pride. “Our journey is not finished but we have come a long way.’’
President Buhari also pledged that his administration would continue to support initiatives aimed at addressing “the challenges of our times.’’
He said such challenges included global and regional crises and conflicts, terrorism, trans-border crime, climate change, human rights, gender equality, development, poverty and inequality within and between nations, etc.
“In this context, we are working hard to achieve both the AU 2063 Agenda for socio-economic transformation of our continent; and the UN 2030 Agenda for sustainable development, which together aim at addressing these challenges,’’ he added.
At the international level, President Buhari said Nigeria would continue to remain a responsible and respected member of the international community.
He maintained that Nigeria would continue to play “active positive roles within ECOWAS, the African Union and the United Nations as well as all other regional and international organisations and institutions of which we are members.’’
On development of democratic values and culture in the country, the president `confessed’ that the task was not an easy one.
“Developing a thriving democracy is not an easy task. There can be no quick fixes or short cuts.
“These are the most important lessons that we have learnt in our 58 years as an independent nation.’’ (NAN)
APC National leader, Bola Tinubu, has released a statement officially endorsing Jide Sanwo-Olu and rejecting the incumbent governor, Akinwunmi Ambode.
In the statement released this evening, Tinubu said the blueprint of Lagos State which is his brainchild between 1999-2007, was followed through by his successor, Tunde Fashola but has now being deviated from by the incumbent governor, Akinwunmi Ambode.
The statement comes shortly after Ambode addressed a press conference in which he made some allegation against Sanwo-Olu.
Read Full text of Tinubu’s statement below:
Tomorrow, our party and the people of Lagos will have an encounter with destiny. We shall hold our governorship primary.
With the holding of direct primaries to elect governorship candidates in Lagos and other states, the APC takes a groundbreaking step toward greater internal democracy and progressive governance for the benefit of all people.
While our party is young, it has grown fast and has travelled far in a short time. This speaks well of the character of you, the party’s rank-and-file members.
What, in other nations, has taken political parties generations to achieve, we have done in a few brief years. No other party in Nigeria dare attempt what we have already dedicated ourselves to do.
I thank and commend all APC members and all Lagosians who have lent their support to this historic and humane mission upon which our party has embarked.
We are democrats in the truest sense of the word. As such, we forever search for what is good and right for the people. With this ideal as our guide, tomorrow’s primary cannot be shaded by selfish ambition or the perceived personal grievance between this or that person. Something much greater waits in the balance. What is at stake is nothing less than the future of the people of this state and how we can best maximise our collective destiny.
By resort to direct primaries, the party places the people’s future soundly in their hands. As democracy would have it, you shall be the authors of the party’s nomination and hopefully our next state government.
I trust in the wisdom of the people and will abide it. However, as a leader of the party and as a former governor of our beloved and excellent Lagos, I would be remiss if I did not make a few observations regarding the primary.
My goal is and shall always be a better Lagos. To this objective, I have dedicated the greater part of my public life. Roughly 20 years ago, a corps of dedicated and patriotic Lagosians, put aside personal interests and rivalries, to put their minds and best ideas together for the good of the state. Out of this collaborative effort, was born a master plan for economic development that would improve the daily lives of our people.
Bestowed on me was the honour of a lifetime when I was elected to be your governor in 1999. My administration faithfully implemented that plan. The government of my immediate successor, Tunde Fashola, also honoured this enlightened plan.
Where state government remained true to that blueprint, positive things happened. During my tenure and Governor Fashola’s, Lagos state recorded improvements in all aspects of our collective existence, from public health to public sanitation, from education to social services, from the administration of justice to the cleaning of storm and sewage drains. Businesses, large and small, invested, hired millions of workers and thrived.
All Lagosians were to fully participate and justly benefit from the social dividends and improvements wrought by this plan. From the common labourer, to business leaders, to professionals and our industrious civil service. We all were to be partners in a monumental but joint enterprise. None was to be alienated. None was to be left out. And none were to be pushed aside. This is especially true for those who contributed so much to our development, whether as a business leader who has invested heavily in Lagos, the homeowner who struggles to pay his fair share of taxes or as someone employed in the hard work of keeping our streets and byways clean so that others may go about their daily tasks unimpeded.
I make no pretence that the master plan is perfect. It can always be fine-tuned. However, whenever a government departed from this plan without compelling reason, the state and its people have borne the painful consequence of the improper departure.
To ignore this blueprint for progress in order to replace it with ad-hoc schemes of a materially inferior quality contravenes the spirit of progressive governance and of our party. Such narrowness of perspective does not bring us closer to our appointed destination; it takes us farther from that destiny.
For reasons unknown to me and most Lagosians, we have experienced such deviations from enlightened governance recently.
This trend is that which most concerns me as the primary nears. We must arrest this trend before irreparable harm is committed against the people and their future. For the record, let it be known that I shall vote in this primary because I see it as one of extreme import to our state and our party. Just as I shall vote, I equally urge all party members to do so.
We must vote in a manner that returns Lagos to its better path, the one that promises a just chance for all to enjoy the fruits of our prosperity. We must always pursue our goal of a Lagos energised by creative dynamism, tolerance of others, and guided by a leadership capable of extending a collegial hand to all stakeholders, far and wide.
I am encouraged by the emergence of a candidate in this primary who has served the state in senior positions in my administration, the Fashola administration and even in the current one. While possessing a wealth of experience and exposure, he is a young man endowed with superlative vision and commitment. Most importantly, he understands the importance of the blueprint for development. He esteems it as a reliable and well-conceived vehicle for the future development of the state. He also knows the value of reaching out and working with others in order to maximize development and provide people the best leadership possible.
With people like him at the helm, the state will write the proper history for itself.
When the final word is given let it be said that we want all Lagosians to look to the future with the hope and optimism that our best days remain before us and not behind us.
We walk into this primary strong and confidently believing in the right course we are to take. We shall emerge from this primary even stronger and more confident that we have taken that course by returning Lagos and our party to their finest path.

When asked about his relationship with Davido, he said:
“I’ve known him for a long time.
I think I met him in DC several years ago. We just always stayed in contact with each other. “Obviously, Davido is in a different city every two days, maybe another country every two days. We always stay in touch. Any time we’re close, we always link up.”

Beauty and Fashion entrepreneur, Toyin Lawani, in a recent interview with Thisday newspapers, said marriage for her is not a priority.
According to the single mum of two, she has been married before and she walked out of the marriage because she wanted more for herself.
Read excerpts from the interview below.
Yes. I repeat it marriage is not a priority. Most people feel like those who are single mums like me are cursed or we’re not to be respected. I speak to several families and even have people that I impact their lives. Do you know how many salaries that I pay every month? Some men cannot do that. I pay almost 100 people salary every month. Then you will now tell me that because you are married you’re better than me. You that are in your husband’s house and being fed and at the same time being slapped every day. If you are contributing to that family do you think they will be slapping you every day? We all learn from experience. I have been married before but because I wanted something more for myself I was able to leave the marriage and chase my dreams.
But there was a rumour that the father of your son, Lord Trigg, proposed and marriage was in the offing before it fizzled out.
I have only been married once in my life. I decided to leave the second relationship because it wasn’t working for me. I have shown him (Lord Trigg) severally that we can co-parent without being enemies.
People thought the relationship failed due to the huge age difference between you two. Is that correct?
It is not because of the age difference. Age has never been a problem between us. Can’t you see how sexy I look? Do you think any man would see me and wouldn’t want to die? Oh my God! We were both in love. It wasn’t even a societal pressure.
But a personal decision because it wasn’t what I wanted for myself. I have learnt my lesson that when I have anything coming up I am not going to put it in the press.
If Mr. Right shows up, will you consider marriage again?
Why not? So far that Mr. Right is going to help me achieve my dreams, supports me in my late night work etc. You know what? It is even hard for some people to support your dream because they feel you are supposed to be a mum, stay at home breast-feeding (babies). I played my role well as a wife. I cooked for him and took care of my home. I make sure that I do everything but he has to support my passion, if that is what will give me joy. But most men want their wives to stay at home and just be a mum. I have exposed my children to my business and I take them along. My daughter knows everything that I do. I can be so intimidating. I have been with someone who is far richer than me and I have been with someone that I am far richer than.
You set the internet on fire recently with a semi-nude photo you in a bathtub posted online. Why did you go to that extent to advertise a beauty product?
If I didn’t do that how do I convince my customers that the product is working? That wasn’t a nude photograph. Did you not see my hands across my chest with my products in-between? Just small thing and everybody was shouting. You know I schooled abroad where I learnt about beauty. I am very exposed and don’t see it as a big deal. Meanwhile, when Beyoncé does it they will be hailing her – or even Rihanna. People should just go and sit down because they are hypocrites.
You mean you don’t have any regrets?
What regrets? I am making money. You better look out for my next photographs. When people see my skin sparkling come and see the way they rush to get my products. I use strictly Tiannah Beauty Glow products. I don’t joke with my herbal magic polish. My black soap, my scrub –everything is Tiannah’s Glow.
Then you have tattoos in strategic places.
Yes. They are my children’s names and I carry them everywhere I go.

Then the non-fan went to write about how Cee-c should expect an acid bath when next she is spotted.
“Since you won’t tell your fellow bitter fans to stop trolling Alex and Tobi. I will teach a lesson you will never forget in your miserable life. You are a bitter short witch. On Thursday, the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, declared APC’s Gboyega Oyetola the winner of the Osun State Governorship election in the state.
Oyetola polled a total of 255,505 votes after the collation of the results of the supplementary election in seven polling units across four local governments, while PDP’s Ademola Adeleke polled a total of 255,023 votes to come second.
But at the initial election which held last Saturday, Davido’s uncle scored the highest number of votes, beating Oyetola with 353 votes but INEC declared the election inconclusive and ordered a rerun because the number of cancelled votes in the seven polling units was far higher than the margin by which Adeleke beat Oyetola.
Following this supplementary votes on Thursday, Oyetola overtook and beat Adeleke with a total margin of 482 votes.
Reacting to the outcome of the supplementary election, Davido wrote: ‘God knows best ! Best believe he will come thru soon,’ while replying to a Twitter user.

Kemen has revealed that he still talks about his disqualification from the 2017 edition of the Big Brother Naija reality tv show, with TBos.
Recall Kemen was disqualified from the house in 2017 for groping TBoss, and touching her inappropriately, while she was asleep.
Kemen met with Sunday Scoop, and he’s admitted that it was not easy for him to move on from the incident, but he tried all his possible best to, and things are not working in his favour.
He said:
“It is only right for me to attribute the turnaround to God. We have two kinds of people in the world – those who have things come easily to them and those who fight for everything they have. I am the type who had to fight for all I have in life.
I have never won a lottery; so, I had already told myself that if I didn’t win the prize money on BBN, I wanted to have an outing that would make my life a bit better.
But when I was disqualified in an unpleasant circumstance, I felt it could be the toughest moment of my life. But later, I said to myself that I had faced tough moments; I could decide to make it the toughest or see it as one of those moments and move on.
According to him, the drive to move forward was bigger than the setback.
He said:
“Being a personal trainer, 90 per cent of what you do is to motivate your clients; so, you cannot motivate them when you cannot handle tough situations. During those times, I focused on the things that I felt were important, which were promoting my gym brand and listening to people who wanted me around them.
I worked with people who didn’t relate to me based on a controversy. The circle was small, but it expanded later. As time went on, people now focused on Kemen the fitness trainer, instead of BBN’s Kemen.”
He explains that whenever he is with Tboss, they talk about the ugly event that made him leave the reality show.
He said:
“You need to know that we were good friends in the house, but we were both caught up in a controversy that we couldn’t control. It was a tense situation for everyone. For the bad blood that transpired, it was a defensive mechanism from both of us. But situations shouldn’t define us because we already know who we are and it will be stupid to let a momentary incident destroy our friendship.”
Damilola Adegbite may have just confirmed that her marriage with Actor Chris Attoh have crashed.
The actress has confirmed to Sunday Scoop that she may write a book on her crash marriage son.
When asked by Sunday Scoop if she was willing to give marriage another try, the Tinsel actress said, “Of course, why not? I never say never. This time, I will be looking out for a man; he has to be a man (in the real sense of the word). I don’t try to foresee things as I prefer to live in the moment. I learnt a lot from my past experience (in marriage) and I may have to write a book about it. There are quite a lot of things and I wouldn’t want to single out one. If I single it out, it may seem like the most important one when it’s not so; they are all very important.”
Damilola also believed marriage between two entertainers could work successfully. “I don’t see why marriages between entertainers cannot work,” she said.
Speaking on her experience working on the movie, Merry Men, with AY, she said, “It was an amazing one for me. I had a good time doing it. This was the first time I worked with AY and I really enjoyed it. However, my dream role is to be a Bond girl. I like the physical part of running and jumping; that’d be a bit more exciting than the drama we are used to in this side. I wouldn’t say I’m a tomboy but I like to work out and get active. Before agreeing to be in any movie, I check my character in it and the story in general; I have to connect to it before I can be part of it. I also consider the other actors that would be on the project.”
The actress also maintained that acting was the only job she had ever thought of doing. “Right from when I was a little girl, I’ve always wanted to be in the spotlight. And I’m also lucky because my parents supported me from the outset. I think I had my breakthrough in the TV series, Tinsel,” she stated.
Speaking on the cause of the scar just around her eyes, Adegbite said, “It was a car accident when I was younger. It was a ghastly one and at the point of impact, everything just went blank for me and my face was ruined.”
On if she would consider cosmetic surgery, Damilola said, “Why not? Every woman is entitled to being confident (in her body). Thankfully, I don’t need to. Maybe 10 years down the line, when my cheek or nose probably begins to sag, I would think about doing something.”
Businessman Elton Chitanda (29) who runs Delicious Delight Restaurant in Masvingo and his wife Fadzai Chivende (25) have been fined $75 by Magistrate Peter Madiba for having sex in a female ward.
Alternatively, they would be jailed for 15 days each.
Madiba accused the two of torturing other patients by having sex in their full view and making noise before he convicted them of public indecency.
The incident which has shocked many people happened at Masvingo General Hospital in July this year.
Chitanda however, said he did not have sexual intercourse with his wife but they only hugged and kissed before he tucked himself in with her on the bed to sleep.
The State however insisted that the couple had sexual intercourse. Edmund Mapope representing the State said Chitanda came into the ward at around 3am and went straight to his wife’s bed. The couple started caressing and kissing and Chitanda removed his jacket and shoes before jumping into bed to join his wife.
The two then had sexual intercourse in full view of Patricia Vuma, Varaidzo Chinomwe and other admitted patients.
Initially the two totally denied doing anything sexual but they quickly shifted their positions when the State threatened to bring in witnesses. They then said they had a sex act but did not have intercourse.
Having a sex act in a legal terms means there was arousal but no intercourse.
Chivende who appeared confused and sought clues from her husband during the trial was warned against looking at first accused each time a question was thrown at her.
“Don’t look at your husband, look at me. Did you have intercourse with the first accused or not?” asked Madiba.
Asked why he behaved that way in the ward, Chitanda said he had not seen his wife for two days and he therefore decided to follow her to hospital.
Chivende did not speak in court most of the time but would take the position or change her defence in line with her husband.
It is the State case that on July 21, 2018 the two indecently exposed themselves and engaged in a sexual act causing offence to other persons who were in the female ward.
“How big is your appetite to an extent that you had to follow your wife to hospital? Why don’t you let people die in peace instead of disturbing them with funny noise that you were making?” asked Madiba.
The two accused were asked to pay a fine of $75 each by 12 October or serve 15 days in prison.
Yesterday, during a football match between The Shooting Stars and Akwa Starlet (Lower Division), an ugly incident happened, after one of the coach was punched by a furious player.
According to reports, the Shooting Stars coach, ‘Agoye Edith Olumide’ was allegedly hit on the head by an Akwa Starlets goalkeeper “Franklin Akwari”, after a disappointing 0-0 result in Uyo.

Days back, Tonto Dikeh and Tiwa Savage met with veteran music maestro, Sir Shina Peters, and Tiwa Savage was pictured kneeling for the singer at the event.
The photos quickly went viral on the media, and it immediately generated mixed reactions.
While speaking with SUNDAY SCOOP, Shina peters said Tiwa Savage did the right thing by kneeling, and he appreciated her gesture towards him.
He said:
“This is what I always preach. Tiwa Savage showed that she is very humble and respectful and that is how it is supposed to be. When I meet people who are older than me, I also bow before them. I wasn’t surprised she did what she did.
Whenever we meet at concerts or shows, that is how she greets me. In life, whatever you do, you will reap it later. Her children and people who came after her will celebrate and respect her too.”
According to the veteran musician, he also met Tonto Dikeh, Teni and BBNaija’s Cee-C, saying they all knelt down to greet him.
He added:
“I am enjoying now because of what I have done in the past and I will continue to pray for all them for showing me respect. When some of these younger ones make money, they lack respect.
“I don’t demand anyone to kneel down for me, but if you feel I deserve it, I am okay with it. I do that to people too and it is part of our culture. If you look at the photo well, you will see that I quickly lifted her up. I was also not comfortable with keeping her on the ground for too long.”
Teenage actress, Regina Daniels has decided to go for a new look.. The light skinned delectable actress, took to social media to share the new photos of herself rocking the red weave!

Cynthia Mvhuma (36) lost her husband and came up with a plan to get him back.
She used juju to entice him but things took the wrong turn when the master plan turned her into a sex addict.
She chose the risky route because she lost Douglas Nyoni (46) six years ago and they had been married for five years.
Speaking to B-Metro, Mvhuma said the juju gave her a ravenous sex urge instead of bringing back the love of her life.
“I always feel the urge for sex every time. A few years back when my husband left me I went to see a traditional healer who gave me juju to help win him back.
I poured it all over my body as instructed and waited for the miracle to happen. After two days I started feeling weird and my private parts were wet,” she said.
She went back to the sangoma and he said she had nothing to worry about.
“He said everything would be fine, it was just part of the process. In the first week I slept with three different men from my area. I thought it was normal for me because I was going through a hard time,’’ she added.
What’s sad is that the sangoma is now dead and there’s no one to reverse the juju. Now she sleeps with everything that walks her path.
“I can’t help myself for feeling this way. I just want to have sex all the time,’’ said Mvhuma.
She kept track of the men she has slept with until her tally hit 47 and that was the last time she counted.
‘‘I have slept with many men and I stopped counting when I had slept with 47 men.
Now I just sleep with them and not feel any emotional connection like before.
Sometimes I sleep with two men at the same time,’’ Mvhuma added.
She’s even scared of testing for HIV.
“I am afraid to get tested because I don’t want more stress,” she said.
The man she risked all for has since left the country.
Toke Makinwa has revealed that her private part is worth more that 50 million naira.
This started after she answered a question that reads: “Take this 50 million naira and leave my child alone. Reply as a boyfriend/girlfriend”
Then her response reads thus: “Just 50 million naira????? Oga iz like you are on a mad something Mshewwwwww. I will get pregnant and have a child so I can be in your lives forever ??????☺️ 50 million dollars then we can talk ?”
Then a follower replied, “Your caption”… and then Toke continued: “Yes ooo. Only 50 million naira??? My p*ssy is worth more”

In the video, currently trending on the Media, Adams suffered a ‘slip of tongue’ as he mistakenly mentioned “rigging: while speaking on how the opposition party, PDP, have taken their defeat in the election.
He said,
“I think that for democracy to flourish, only people who can accept the pain of rigging (sorry defeat) should participate in an election”.

I try very often not to say or think it too much, but being a Nigerian is so hard. It’s literally difficult. Lately, sometimes all I need to see is one pothole and I’m just exhausted. And my frustration is mostly that everyone wants the power, no one wants the responsibility
A very beautiful Delsu Pharmacy student identified as Miss Umukoro Joy, is engaged.
She got the surprised engagement from her boyfriend at her induction ceremony in the University… The engagement wasn’t just an ordinary one, as her boyfie proposed to her with a Lexus car.
The Delsu Pharmacy student who has been dating her fiance for years, said yes to her man.
A guy whose girlfriend’s dad passed away in 2015, decided to propose to her at her father’s graveside with a tear jerking letter asking for permission from the dead man to marry his daughter.
Justin and Meg met at the university and their relationship developed organically. “We spent more and more time together. From the start, Justin always told me that he knew I was the one,” Meg told HowHeAsked.
But when her dad was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer in 2014, times were hard for the couple.
“It was so rare that doctors have not found a cure yet. After my dad was diagnosed, Justin was always there for me whether it was a shoulder to cry on or someone to vent to. “At the time, I wasn’t the easiest person to get along with. I was confused, angry and in denial.
“After my dad passed away a year later, things were tough. My dad was my best friend and to him, I was truly his “little girl.” “Justin knew how much my dad meant to me and how difficult it is to experience the big moments in life without him.”
The romantic decided that he would involve Gino, Meg’s dad, in arguably the biggest moment of her life. Knowing that Gino’s favourite animal was a flamingo, Justin bought a lovely solar-powered decoration for his grave so the couple could take it together one weekend.
They chose the date, September 7, and Meg says she felt her dad was with her after a ‘sign’ when arriving at the cemetery. Justin told Meg to open the letter and, as she read, she realized it was written from her boyfriend to her dad asking for his blessing to marry her.
The last line said: “I hope you are smiling down on us during this moment… the moment I ask your daughter to be my wife.” Meg slowly turned and realised Justin was down on one knee. The bride-to-be says it was the happiest moment of her life.
