A housewife, Mrs. Damilola Ayeni, who stabbed her husband, Olumide to death in Lagos has finally opened up on what made her to kill her husband during a domestic brawl.
P.M.EXPRESS reports that she used a kitchen knife to stab her husband on the left side of his chest, he bled profusely and died at the Lagos Island General Hospital.
The embattled Damilola said that she did not set out to kill him but lost control due to anger and she eventually murdered him.
The incident happened at Gbamgboye Street, Lagos Island. She was arrested, taken to SCIID Panti, Yaba, Lagos and charged for murder.
Mrs. Damilola said that she had not come to terms with what really happened on that day and wished it never happened. She recalled that their two years marriage with two children was characterized with crises on suspicions of infidelity and mistrust which resulted to constant quarrelling and fighting that eventually led to her husband’ s death.
She has been charged before the Ebute Metta Magistrates court and arraigned for murder.
The prosecutor, Inspector Mana Dauda, informed the court that it was a case of domestic violence that led to the death of the victim.
The Presiding Magistrate, Mrs. A.O Ajibade, did not take her plea and denied her bail. The court directed the prosecutor to duplicate the file and send to DPP for advice.
P.M.EXPRESS gathered that Damilola may be tried at the High Court if the DPP finds her culpable and recommends her for murder trial.
If she is found guilty, she may spend the rest of her life in prison.
The late Olumide hailed from Ondo State and was a staff of Lagos Island Hospital where he died. He was 36 years while the embattled wife was 23years when the incident happened.
It was harvest of convictions for the EFCC Benin Zonal Office of September 24, 2018 as seven persons who were arraigned on separate count charges for different offences were convicted and sentenced to various jail term by the Federal High Court sitting in Benin City, Edo State.
One of the convicts, Ekoh Noel was arraigned on a one count charge of obtaining by false pretense – he was said to have impersonated and represented himself as Mike Ezuruonye, a popular Nollywood Star, on Facebook to defraud his victims.
Upon his arraignment, the convict pleaded guilty to the charge. In view of his plea, the prosecution counsel, Larry Aso Peters, prayed the court to convict and sentence the defendant accordingly.
However, defence counsel, N.I. Oriazowanlan pleaded with the court to temper justice with mercy as the convict was a first time offender and also to consider the plea bargain between the defence and the prosecution. Justice P. I. Ajoku convicted and sentenced the defendant to one year imprisonment.
Similarly, the court sentenced the duo of Favour Ojefia and Alex Igbinidu to six months imprisonment. While Ojefia, who pleaded guilty to a one count charge, fraudulently obtained goods worth N500,000 (Five Hundred Thousand Naira) only, from one Imasuen Christian Osahon of Just Cute Ventures, Igbinidu also defrauded same Just Cute Ventures.
Also convicted by the court was Odiete Jude Erowhow, who also bagged six months imprisonment for fraudulently obtaining by trick the sum of N426,000.(Four Hundred and Twenty Six Thousand Naira) only from one Sunday Ogba.

Nollywood actress, Tonto Dikeh has reacted to a post by Kokun Foundation’s CEO, Olakokun Adepoju’s declaration that he is depressed and suicidal.
She wrote in the comment section of his post,
“Baby snitch, you will be ok ,IJN..We praying for you”
The actress who was or still is, close friends with Kokun fell out with him after he leaked their private chats to a boutique owner and socialite, Tundewear it all.
Kokun had posted Tunde’s photo on his page, hailing him for being a major sponsor of his charity but Tonto Dikeh sent Kokun a private message declaring how much she hates Tunde and could kill him if she had the chance to.
She called the boutique owner, a gay and said she personally stops her politician friends from shopping from him. She also revealed they have never met but he has said bad things about her.
When Kokun said Tunde had donated over N5million to his charity, Tonto said she doesn’t care but will unfollow Kokun if the photo is still there.
Kokun then sent the chats to Tunde without knowing Tunde will publicly post it on Instagram, calling out Tonto Dikeh.
After being blasted by many for being such a snitch, Kokun apologized, saying it was one of the biggest mistakes of his life.

Croatia and Real Madrid Midfielder, Luka Modric has been awarded as the Best FIFA Men’s Player Award, just weeks after he was named UEFA Player of the Year.
The voting for the award was done by coaches, team captains and media men from FIFA nations – the award which took place on Monday at Royal Festival Hall in London, saw Modric beat Juventus’ gems Cristiano Ronaldo and Liverpool’s talisman, Mohamed Salah to pick the coveted prize.
Just like in the UEFA award, it was the first time, there is a new name on The Best FIFA Men’s Player trophy. Cristiano Ronaldo won the previous two awards.
Modric has shown the world that he deserved a place at the podium due to his outstanding display at the 2018 FIFA World Cup Russia with Croatia and with Real Madrid at the UEFA Champion League.

A Nigerian man decided to make good of a situation, after a massive flood overtook his home. The young man shared pictures which appear to show him bathing and also swimming in the massive flood.
Meanwhile, the National Emergency Management Agency on Monday said that about 441,251 people have been affected by flood in about 50 Local Government Areas.
The agency said this in a situation report on the flooding which it said had left 141,369 people internally displaced.
It said about 192 people have sustained injuries as a result of the flood with a total of 108 lives lost to the disaster.

The unfortunate news, about the demise of Ras Kimono’s wife, Efemena Okedi broke yesterday, at about 2pm… and according to multiple reports, Efe died in the early hours of yesterday, Sunday, at her home in Magodo, Lagos state.
Speaking on how she died,
“Efe went for an event on Saturday September 22nd and returned home complaining of chest pain. The pain lingered till the next morning. She slumped and died in the house before she could be rushed to the hospital” the family member said told LIB.
Efe had just returned three weeks ago from the funeral of her husband, Ras Kimono, who died in June.

The heir of the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor E.A Adeboye, Leke Adeboye, has taken to social media to share his own side on the political situation in Osun state.
Following INEC’s declaration of the governorship election in the state as inconclusive, Leke Adeboye has termed any resident of Osun who voted the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) as “fool”.
He wrote,
“If you are in Osun and you voted for APC to be honest and this is being neutral o, YOU are a FOOL. The government of APC didn’t pay salaries for over 2 or 3 years. Apart from the train, what did you gain from the last 3 years. And please don’t tell me they built roads, that’s a standard”.

Popular Nigerian comedian cum actor, Ayo Makun, AY has stated that he didn’t mean any harm whatsoever for music mogul, Dbanj and his wife, Lineo after he made comments on their vacation.
Nigerian broadcaster, N6, recently criticised the comedian for allegedly making an insensitive comment after D’banj uploaded a video of himself having fun with his wife in Dubai on Instagram.
Reacting to the video, AY wrote;
“Things like this only tell me that we are coming for a naming ceremony soon. Celebrations will never depart from your home. You’ve passed God’s test. Happiness is free.”
Though the post looked harmless, N6 and his co-host, Joyce Onyemuwa, felt otherwise – according to the media personalities, it was wrong for AY to insinuate that the death of D’banj’s child was God’s test.
In a chat with Sunday Scoop, AY said he didn’t think anything was wrong about his post on D’banj’s page when he read other people’s views.
He said;
“It was not necessary (referring to the OAP’s comment about him). Immediately, I saw the comment, I read other people’s views. Once I noticed that other people’s views and how they saw the whole thing contradicted the person who was trying to get attention by slamming me, I didn’t care. He got the backlash at the end of the day.”

A young Nigerian man who has been identified simply as Jonathan, reportedly donated his only car for campaign outings of former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, ahead of the 2019 election.
Atiku Abubakar who shared the news on his Twitter page, wrote;
Jonathan just invested my campaign with his most priced asset – his only car. Like many young Nigerians, Jonathan’s belief in me will not be in vain, and is why I’m committed to providing the needed leadership to get Nigeria working again. Thank you Jonathan.
This comes after Atiku gave his condition to support any aspirant that would emerge as the sole candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP in the forthcoming presidential primary ahead of 2019.

Few moments ago, the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, declared that the Saturday September 22nd governorship election in Osun state was inconclusive.
The electoral body then stated that the number of cancelled votes is higher than the margin between the top two candidates.
Now, INEC has issued a full statement on the election outcome as it declares Thursday, September 27th as the date for a supplementary election in the state.
