Two Nigerian Housemaids Allegedly Killed By Their Bosses In Saudi Arabia

Two Nigerian girls have been allegedly killed by their employers after being trafficked to work as housemaids in Saudi Arabia.

The murder of the two young women occurred within a space of two weeks in the respective homes where they worked as servants by their Saudi bosses.

According to Satellite Times, the first Nigerian girl to be murdered was by name Omotayo who until her death in June 2018 worked as a migrant domestic worker in Riyadh.

She reportedly sent this photo to her friends in a group chat called “Strong Nigerian Ladies” – a solidarity group created by Nigerian migrant domestic workers in Saudi Arabia.

Omotayo, in her June post which happened to be her last, narrated to the solidarity group her latest incident of battery in the hands of the Saudi family she worked for. Her boss and the entire family had descended on her for being disrespectful to them.

The maid’s only offence was that she insisted her three-month salary arrears be paid to her.

. She had put her foot down saying she would no longer accept excuses for the non-payment of her salaries just as she said she was tired of eating leftover food.

Her action was seen as an affront.Another Nigerian by name Shola, was also killed by her boss.

Her story was told by Adeola Oladipo, another housemaid in the Strong Nigeria Ladies Group.

“Shola has been constantly assaulted and starved by her sponsor in Saudi Arabia. Whenever she demands for food they would always beat her up and she lost so much weight…“One day her male boss came as usual to beat her while she was doing chores in the kitchen.

The beating became so severe she had to defend herself with a knife. In the process the knife cut her boss and her sponsor hit her on the neck and she collapsed.

When the boss saw that Shola was dying, he rushed her to the hospital where he said she suddenly fell ill. A few days later, the Nigerian gave up the ghost in the hospital.”

She took to her Instastory to disclose she is tired of fighting and feel like giving up.

She also said she is tired of proving herself and tired of smiling.

According to her, it is a sin to be a woman in Africa.

Tiwa Savage recently held her much talked about concert at the Indigo 02 arena in London.

According to sources, Tiwa is the first female artiste to sell out the prestigious 2800- seater venue.

Judging from photos released after the show, mummy JamJam gave fans a treat with several stellar performances.

The singer who has enjoyed a fairly eventful 2018, and is set to release her third studio album later in the year said she wanted to give her UK fans much more than a show, and this she fulfilled.

The concert which witnessed a sold out attendance of almost 3,000 capacity, featured a number of top acts taking to the stage in support of the Mavins diva.

The night witnessed performances from opening acts like members of her Mavin family, from the label head Don Jazzy to Reekado Banks, D’ija, Korede Bello, and Dr Sid.

Others who took to the stage to thrill the audience include the likes of Wstrn, Congolese superstar, Awilo Longomba, Mystro, and the Alternate Sound Band.

Described as a fundraiser-evangelist or fund-raiser minister, Adejumo is in the habit of telling her congregants or her host worshipers that it is the Holy Spirit that ministered it to her heart and not the host pastor, that the congregants should come out and donate certain amount of monies which range from a million Naira to $1000 (One Thousand Dollars) which in most cases is her standard price tag, asking them to drop such monies for a miracle of fortune, wealth or good luck to come their way.

Her manners are often rude and if not insolent as she barks or calls at the vulnerable congregants to ‘come out fast, fast, fast’ and in some instances, she will add ‘I don’t beg people to give o’. She either attach such unusual money taking exercise from the congregants to ‘raising of altars for your children’ or ‘money for next level’ and other nice to hear breakthroughs.

And in many cases, she admonishes her ‘new converts’ to drop their account numbers with the host ministry or command them to take the ministry’s account number and pay; or better still asks for POS machines for instant money transfer. Her style is always pragmatic and without giving a chance to her ‘victims’ for thinking before acting.

She has become a victim of criticism from various section of the Christian community home and abroad including few respected men of God like Reverend Yomi Kasali. In this new video, Prophet MKO Tibetan, a gifted prophet and one of the few voices that is against church imperialism in Nigeria said Funke Adejumo is not being led by the Holy Spirit but by ‘aiding and abetting’. The Prophet who just returned from a trip to Canada, France, London and Dublin was quite angry with Reverend Adejumo’s act that he decided to consult the Holy Bible and reeled out some Bible verses to knock out her obnoxious money grabbing antics from vulnerable Christians.

Comedian Gordons, Tekno and Flavour survive airplane mishap (Video)

Nigerian comedian, Gordons is grateful to God for saving not only life but also the lives of others who were in the same plane with him on a flight from Lagos to Accra.

According to the comedian, himself alongside singers Tekno and Flavour and their band members, survived an airplane mishap today August 25th just 8 minutes after they took-off.

In a video shared on his Instagram page, Gordons narrated how the flight they boarded developed fault midair. He wrote,

“Please help me praise God and thank him today. God delivered me, Flavour, Tekno and their band boys together with some other people who flew with us from Lagos to Accra today. God delivered us from air accident. Eight minutes into our flight to Accra, the pilot announced our plane developed fault” he said

Boy stabs female classmate for saying she ‘only likes him as a friend’.

A schoolboy has been reported to have repeatedly stabbed a female classmate of his allegedly because she had ‘friendzoned’ him.

The unnamed girl, 14, was stabbed nine to eleven times in a school assembly on August 16, on the first day of term at Luther High School.

The victim told police on Wednesday that a boy at the school attacked her because she told him she wasn’t interested in a relationship.

Luther police chief David Randall told NewsOk:

“There was one point where he approached her in reference to try to have some type of relationship, to which she said she wasn’t interested in it.

“She said she liked him as a friend not anything more and that they remained friends.”

Despite being turned down, the attacker continued to slip notes into her locker asking her to go out with him.

Police chief Randall added that the victim had no idea the 14-year-old boy held any ill will towards her and that the vicious attack came as a complete surprise.

Rumours that the attack was motivated by bullying were also denied by the teen victim who said that she had never talked badly about the boy.

The girl was airlifted to hospital with life-threatening injuries following the gruesome attack, but has since been discharged from hospital. She has not yet returned to lessons.

Fresh graduate burnt to death 2 weeks before her NYSC

A young lady who just graduated from Kogi State University, was among victims involved in the tragic accident which happened some days along Zariagi-Lokoja road.

According to reports, the fresh graduate was preparing for her mandatory National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), in two weeks time before the unfortunate incident.

Three people were burnt to death and five others injured in the fatal accident on the highway in Kogi.

Nine people and three vehicles–Toyota Carina, Scania Truck and Mack Tanker– were involved in the accident.

The deceased were burnt alongside the vehicles, while the injured were taken to the Federal Medical Centre in Lokoja.

The Okene-Lokoja-Abuja highway is classified among the deadliest road corridors in Nigeria.

ACTUAL NAME: FAVOUR IWUEZE (really? Were you expecting something different? you should know by now that most gospel artistes use their real name as music name).

AGE: She is currently 27 Years Old born on the 25th of August, 1991 (Right timing guys, today is her birthday).

STATE OF ORIGIN: She is an indigene of Imo State, Owerri, Nigeria, although she stays in Lagos currently.

EDUCATION: Both her primary and secondary school education were in Imo state, before her parents relocated to Lagos, then she gained admission into the prestigious Nnamdi Azikwe University where she studied Computer Science and finished with a second class upper (2:1). Pretty smart huh.

MARITAL STATUS: I told you from the beginning that she was about to get married, though we have not really gotten information about her fiancé, but just stick around, it would soon be out.

HER MUSIC CAREER

For one to be able to make it big time in the music industry, one has to develop a strong passion for it, Favour always had a strong passion for music since she was a little girl. According to her, her dad usually sings to her and also to all her younger siblings.

When they were still kids, they formed a musical group for their family which was called destined kids, which became a hit due to the very popular song JOY JOY JOY.

Right now, she is currently signed into a gospel music label called the “God mercy connection”. Under the record label, she has released some songs, some of which are; Muna Chin, Glory to my Jesus, Amazing Love.

Popular Kenyan socialite, Vera Sidika looks really different and almost unrecognizable without makeup and fake lashes in newly released photos.

The lovely took to her Instagram page to share a video and photo of herself without makeup, weaves and fake lashes. Her fans were surprised at how pretty and young her face looks.

Sharing the post she captioned it,

I’m not a finished product …God is still working on me ? …no make up, no fake lashes,no wigs/weave, no fake nails and I Love it!!!!!!!!

I didn’t unfollow Alex on social media, I was blocked – Tobi Bakre

Big Brother Naija 2018 finalist, Tobi Bakre, has in a new interview insisted that he didn’t unfollow his ‘best friend’ Alex; but that he was blocked.

According to him,

“I didn’t unfollow anybody; I was blocked and then she followed me back. I have never unfollowed anybody on my social media accounts before, I was blocked and then she followed me back,” he insisted.

The reality tv star and photographer who also addressed rumours of buying Instagram followers, also disclosed his plans of becoming an actor.

According to Tobi, he was already into acting but chose not to talk much about the project.

In his own words,

“I am already into acting, but I cannot talk about my projects yet,”

“No, I don’t buy Instagram likes and followers and I will never do that. I don’t want to comment much on that. I had about 25,000 before the Big Brother show and after BBA, I currently have about 867,000,” he said to Saturday Beats
