Nigerian comedian, Gordons is grateful to God for saving not only life but also the lives of others who were in the same plane with him on a flight from Lagos to Accra.
According to the comedian, himself alongside singers Tekno and Flavour and their band members, survived an airplane mishap today August 25th just 8 minutes after they took-off.
In a video shared on his Instagram page, Gordons narrated how the flight they boarded developed fault midair. He wrote,
“Please help me praise God and thank him today. God delivered me, Flavour, Tekno and their band boys together with some other people who flew with us from Lagos to Accra today. God delivered us from air accident. Eight minutes into our flight to Accra, the pilot announced our plane developed fault” he said
A schoolboy has been reported to have repeatedly stabbed a female classmate of his allegedly because she had ‘friendzoned’ him.
The unnamed girl, 14, was stabbed nine to eleven times in a school assembly on August 16, on the first day of term at Luther High School.
The victim told police on Wednesday that a boy at the school attacked her because she told him she wasn’t interested in a relationship.
Luther police chief David Randall told NewsOk:
“There was one point where he approached her in reference to try to have some type of relationship, to which she said she wasn’t interested in it.
“She said she liked him as a friend not anything more and that they remained friends.”
Despite being turned down, the attacker continued to slip notes into her locker asking her to go out with him.
Police chief Randall added that the victim had no idea the 14-year-old boy held any ill will towards her and that the vicious attack came as a complete surprise.
Rumours that the attack was motivated by bullying were also denied by the teen victim who said that she had never talked badly about the boy.
The girl was airlifted to hospital with life-threatening injuries following the gruesome attack, but has since been discharged from hospital. She has not yet returned to lessons.

A young lady who just graduated from Kogi State University, was among victims involved in the tragic accident which happened some days along Zariagi-Lokoja road.
According to reports, the fresh graduate was preparing for her mandatory National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), in two weeks time before the unfortunate incident.
Three people were burnt to death and five others injured in the fatal accident on the highway in Kogi.
Nine people and three vehicles–Toyota Carina, Scania Truck and Mack Tanker– were involved in the accident.
The deceased were burnt alongside the vehicles, while the injured were taken to the Federal Medical Centre in Lokoja.
The Okene-Lokoja-Abuja highway is classified among the deadliest road corridors in Nigeria.

Yesterday, a new bride cause a stir on Twitter after she revealed that she and her husband decided that she will not kneel on her traditional marriage day.
Now, she has revealed more and it gets even more dramatic – Eniola said the decision to kneel was reached by herself and her husband. Interestingly, her husband’s family also didn’t have a problem with it.

A 35-year-old man, Mr. Yinka Alabi, has pleaded before an Idi-Ogungun Customary Court, Agodi, Ibadan, Oyo State, not to dissolve his marriage despite his wife admitting to being raped by another man.
Responding to a divorce suit filed by his wife, Funmilola, Alabi told the court that the woman claimed to have been raped in her office, but that he still loved her.
Yinka said, “My wife’s adulterous ways are terrible. She was in the habit of receiving her boyfriends’ calls in my presence, but my ill-health condition makes me to accept all her shortcomings.
”My lord, I urinate through the use of catheter and my wife knows what am passing through. I paid her upfront before allowing me to have sex with her, but I am not bothered because I love her and do not agree with the dissolution of our 10-year-old marriage.”
According to NAN, His wife Funmilola, 31, had earlier urged the court to grant her divorce request, alleging constant brutality on her by the husband.
According to her, Yinka is always suspicious that I engage in extra-marital affairs.
”He has no regard for my parents, so I can no longer endure his nagging and brutality,” she stated.
President of the court, Chief Mukaila Balogun,in his ruling urged the couple to resolve the issue for the sake of the only child of the marriage and advised the respondent to find means of reconciling with his wife since he did not want the marriage to end.
He adjourned the case until August 31 for report of settlement or continuation of hearing.

A murder suspect, Omoniyi Ademola, has revealed that he killed a traditional ruler in Ekiti State, Oba Gbadebo Ogunsakin to take over his throne.
Ademola stabbed Oba Ogunsakin, the Onise of Odo Oro in Ikole Local Government Area to death with a knife on Monday.
Eighty-year-old Oba Ogunsakin, who was enthroned in 1986, was stabbed to death in his palace on Monday after chairing a meeting of his council of chiefs in the palace.
The suspect thrust the knife into the monarch’s chest with the victim giving up the ghost before reaching the hospital.
He fled to Ado-Ekiti after committing the regicide but was arrested at Ajowa Market in Dallimore area of the city around 4.30 pm same day.
Speaking while being paraded alongside suspects arrested for various crimes at the police headquarters in Ado Ekiti on Friday, Ademola, who is in his 40s, said he committed the regicide to claim his “right.”
Ademola, who spoke correct English and never showed any sign of insanity, was said to belong to another royal family in the community.
He claimed that his family had nominated him to take over from the late king whom he said was serving as a hindrance.
The suspect said: “The crown didn’t belong to Oba Ogunsakin because the town last year declared vacancy because of the death of our Oba.
“They said our Oba was dead and my family nominated me to take over only for him to resurface again and said he remained the Oba.
“Last year December, my family nominated me and since then I have been trying to take over. That day when I got to the palace, it was the late Oba that first attacked me and I attacked him back which led to his death.”
The Commissioner of Police, Mr. Bello Ahmed, had earlier addressed a press conference on the recent breakthroughs recorded by the command in arresting the suspects.
The police chief dismissed claims in some quarters that the suspect is mentally unstable.
Ahmed said: “I am not a medical expert to know who is mentally unstable or not.
“But the fact remains that, how could a lunatic committed murder and ran over 100 kilometers from the scene of the incident?
“So, common sense dictates that he must have known what he was doing to have run from that town to Ado Ekiti.”
Answering question on the killing of former Commissioner on the board of the Federal Character Commission, Mr. Bunmi Ojo on August 10, the CP said the command was making progress with some arrests made.
He added: “We are on the trail of the killers, we have reached advanced stage. Some suspects had been arrested and they are helping the police.
“Efforts are being intensified and we shall feed the public with the right information when we are ready to charge them to court.”
Also paraded were 25 other suspects, who were arrested for cultism and other murder cases, including a man, Toyin Ajakaye, who allegedly hanged a commercial motorcyclist in his farm in Agbado Ekiti on Wednesday.
Ahmed added that the 16 suspects arrested for allegedly belonging to ‘Aye’ and ‘Eye’ confraternities have confessed their memberships of the secret cults, saying they will be charged to court soon.
He revealed that weapons like: one cut-to-size gun, one cartridge, criminal charms, Toyota Camry Car with Registration number FKJ 912 DEK, one kitchen knife and one cutlass were recovered from the suspected cultists.
Ahmed revealed that four armed robbery gang: Idowu Oluwole, Ganiyu Rasak, Ojo Ayomide and Asimile Efra were arrested for stealing a Bajaj motorcycle from one victim in Ado Ekiti.
The police boss the command will continue to intensify efforts to ensure that criminals have no hidden place in the state.
