Senator Lanre Tejuoso who defected with the 15 senators from APC on Tuesday July 24th, has returned to the ruling party, APC.

Vice President Yemi Osinbajo has revealed that Nigeria will partner with Google and other service providers to boost internet connectivity in the country.
Osinbajo made this known while speaking at the Google for Nigeria event holding at Landmark center Lagos State. He said;
“We will be partnering with Google and other technology providers to achieve the level of connectivity that will match the creativity of our people.”
The VP also revealed that the provision of human basics, such as healthcare and food may soon depend on technology.
During the event, Ken Tokusei, PM Director International Search, said:
“Health queries are common on the web, so we are making it easier with a new search experience that allows you to explore health conditions related to symptoms!”
Also, Google said that “Street View is coming to seven more cities in Lagos.”
Google Nigeria plans to reach more than 10 million Nigerians with free Internet access in five cities in Nigeria.
According to the company, the Wi-Fi will be available in 200 Google Stations across five cities in the country which includes Lagos, Kaduna, Port Harcourt, Ibadan and Abuja by 2019.
This was made known on Thursday at the second Google for Nigeria event in Lagos.
The Google Nigeria Country Director, Juliet Ehimuan-Chiazor, said the initiative would address affordability and access to data as well as broadband penetration.
Speaking at the unveiling of the Google Stations, She said the free Wi-Fi was rolled out in partnership with an Internet Service Provider with extensive fibre network, 21st Century, adding that the company was open to partnerships with other ISPs and telcos.
“One of the challenges we found was access to data. Broadband penetration is low and are not reliable and there are challenges with affordability just allow many Nigerians benefit from the digital economy. We are very excited to be able to launch in collaboration with partners,”
We are starting in Lagos with four sites and commitment is to expand to 200 sites across five cities in Nigeria by 2019. There are opportunities that are available once people get online and are able to consume information.

An unidentified student of Novena University, Delta State was nabbed inside a female hostel in UNIBEN, Ekenwan Campus this morning.
According to reports, there have been many recent cases of theft in the hostel. Just three days ago, a student reported that her laptop and phone were stolen, overnight, from her wardrobe.
However, this morning, laptops, phones and a hand bag got missing inside three different rooms and an alarm was raised. That was when a student said she spotted a girl with tinted hair, leaving the rooms.
The gate to the hostel was promptly locked and a search was initiated. The suspect was eventually found inside the common room and apprehended. She later confessed to the many thefts.
According to the hostel occupants, the suspect, who claims to be a student of Novena university, goes around telling people that she’s a fresh student of Uniben with no hostel space to stay and that they should please accommodate her for the night. .
Once taken in, she strikes by going to surrounding rooms, very early in the morning, to steal, especially when the occupants have gone out to have their bath. She is currently at the security office at Ugbowo, Uniben.

50 Cent’s son Marquise Jackson may have just added a pint of fuel to the burning feud between his father and retired boxer Floyd Mayweather.
He called Floyd Mayweather ‘uncle’ during a Face-Time video call.
Recall that 50Cent and Mayweather have been embroiled in the nastiest feud for days now, a social media battle that begun after the rapper shaded the retired boxer on Instagram.
Yesterday, 50 Cent decided to come for Mayweather’s son Koraun by posting the statement the child made when the former boxer’s hit his mum.
But Koraun perfectly put him in his place by posting a photo of him and his father skating together. “All good over here,” said the young boy who then subtly referenced 50 Cent’s nasty feud with his own son Marquise, saying, “Worry about your family first.”

Floyd Mayweather has been silent for days now after 50 accused him of triggering the murder-suicide involving his late friends.

Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, (LAUTECH) Ogbomoso has expelled the son of the immediate past Secretary to Osun State Government, Alhaji Mashood Adeoti, AbdulAfeez Adeoti.
In a report by Daily Post, three others were also expelled along with Adeoti’s son, while the institution placed eight other students on suspension following their alleged involvement in the post-students’ union election violence on June 13th.
This was contained in an official statement signed by the Registrar of the institution, Mr. Jacob Agboola, who declared that the university’s Senate at an emergency meeting held on Tuesday considered the report and recommendations of the panel set up to investigate the matter.
Agboola in the statement added that the Senate approved that those found wanting be suspended or expelled from the university.
The expelled students according to the statement include AbdulAfeez Adeoti, a student with department of Civil Engineering; Akinloye Oluwatimileyin of department of Pure and Applied Physics; Eze Raymond, department of Management and Accounting and Dauda Sodiq, department of Chemical Engineering.
The suspended students are:
Olalekan Ismail, a student of department of Computer Science and Engineering;
Amoo Akeem, department of Transport Management; Azeez Ayobami, department of Biochemistry;
Oluwole Opeyemi, department of Pure and Applied Chemistry; and Bankole Oluwaseyi, department of Pure and Applied Physics.
Others include:
Abioye Aderemi, department of Anatomy;
Atoyebi Adeniran, Pure and Applied Mathematics, and
Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike has said that the defection of over 50 Federal Lawmakers from the APC to the PDP will teach Political parties to respect their members.
Wike noted that democracy, rule of law and separation of powers had suffered extremely, insisting that the gale of defection since Tuesday was instructive to parties.
The Governor said that the mass defection in the National Assembly was also an indication that the will of the people and the liberty of any person to choose the political parties that he wanted to belong remained supreme.
Wike said this on Wednesday through the State Commissioner for Information and Communication, Emma Okah.
“The institutions of democracy, rule of law, separation of powers, etc, have suffered enormously for some time now.
“The development yesterday, wherein people feel that time has come for them to move is very instructive.
“The people’s will must prevail and those who lead must lead with the understanding and appreciation of the fact that the people’s will is supreme.
“So, to all intent and purposes, the liberty of the persons to choose which party they want to belong without fear or favour was put to play.
“For whatever it is worth, political parties will now be a lot more careful on how they treat their members,” he stated.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs said 75 out of 230 stranded Nigerian Football fans vanished in Russia after the 2018 FIFA World Cup .
The ministry’s spokesperson, Dr Tope Elias-Fatile, told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Wednesday in Abuja that the fans absconded in spite of government’s efforts to repatriate them.
Fatile said that 230 stranded Nigerian football fans were profiled to board chartered Ethiopian Airline to Abuja but at the last minute, only 155 boarded the flight.
“As at the last count, over 230 stranded Nigerians had been cleared to board an Ethiopian Airline flight to Abuja, however, only 155 boarded the flight that arrived Friday night July 22,” he said.
He said that the ministry officials had to contribute to feed some of the stranded Nigerians in Moscow as many of them were left with nothing.
He added that though they had the rights not to come back, it would be better for them to return because of the unfavourable weather in that country.
”Do you know that the officials at the mission had to sacrifice their earning by contributing money to feed the stranded fans?,” he said.
He said that if, however, they repented and decided to come back, the ministry was ever ready to assist them.

The spokesperson said that the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr Geoffrey Onyeama, had also made some contacts with relevant agencies to commence investigation into suspected human trafficking in the case.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the stranded football fans including a nursing mother in her mid-thirties arrived Nnamdi Azikwe International Airport Abuja at about 9.12 p.m. on July 20.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr Geoffrey Onyeama, who was at the airport to monitor their arrival, had said that the Federal Government was going to probe the case.

Narrating how and when she met the artiste who has been confined to a wheelchair as a result of an accident he had in 1997, Titilope said, “I met him in 1996, before he had the accident.
“I saw in him a hard-working man when we met. Very hard-working, there is nothing he can’t do to stay afloat in his profession.
“He is someone who doesn’t get distracted from his dream no matter what may come his way.”
So, what made her stay with him despite all odds?
“Why won’t I stay? I told you about some of the qualities I saw in my husband that made me fell in love and married him.
“I have made up my mind to spend the rest of my life with him before the accident. When he had the accident we there together at the University College Hospital, Ibadan (UCH).
“I saw in him the determination to survive, to live and to make it in life. Those are the things that also motivated me to stay with him in the time of trouble and up till now.
“Nobody is above trial and tribulations and when they come what one should do is to remain steadfast and be prayerful.
“Bible didn’t tell us that trouble would not come, it is bound to come but God has given us a strong assurance, He Is there to give us the grace to overcome.”
Asked if her husband is sexually active and she said, “Well, that is strictly my private life which can never be discussed on the pages of newspapers for no reason.
“I am happy in marriage and you can see the signs all over and around me. Thank God for everything.”

Chocolate City Boss and revered Nigerian rapper, MI Abaga, has once again announced a new release date for his much-awaited fourth studio album titled ‘Yung Denzl’.

“Kanye stole my idea smh. Anyway.. in august three hiphop albums I executive produced are dropping and then the hiphop Convo for the year is closed. if you wanted to drop this year just wait till 2019.. election year is good for music.”
Three Kanye West-produced projects were released in quick succession in the month of June. The title of the three albums are; Ye, Kids See Ghosts and Nasir.
M.I Abaga is now claiming he had this kind of plan for the month of August, claiming Kanye copied his idea.

This will be the third time the rapper will be announcing a scheduled release date for the album which he first talked about in 2016.
In early February while announcing that the album had been scheduled for May, MI said he wasn’t in a rush to drop the project. In the post dropped on his Instagram, it read, “Every project for me is a piece of my life…I will never rush music because I respect my fan base too much”.

Chief Antonio Oladeinde Fernandez was a Nigerian business magnate, diplomat and Permanent Representative of Central African Republic to the United Nations. He was considered one of the richest men in Africa.
Fernandez died on September 1, 2015 in Belgium after an undisclosed illness of several months and was buried at Ixelles Cemetery in Brussels on September 18, 2015.

Ibrahim sustained grievous burns in a terrible gas explosion at his apartment on August 30th, 2016.
