Security operatives have arrested a man and his accomplices for kidnapping two Igbo girls and forcefully converting them to Islam.

The Niger State Police Command has paraded Shamsudeen Bashiru of Dawaki Angwan Jekada, Suleja, for abducting two Igbo girls, Okwudiri Nwoke and Miracle Nweke, both 16 years, on April 28, 2018, from Gwada in Shiroro Local Government Area of the state, Daily Independent has reported.

It was gathered that Shamsudeen and accomplices had after kidnapping Miracle and Okwudiri moved them to Suleja where they were forcefully converted to Islam preparatory to their being given out in marriage by the leader of an Islamic group, Association for the Enhancement of Muslim Welfare, Habib Madaki, at Victory Road, Suleja.

Okwudiri and Miracle whose names had been changed to ‘Khadijat’ regained freedom from the Islamic group at about 9 p.m. Sunday night were handed over to the Igbo community leader in Niger State, Eze Pampas Ngozi Wahiwe, on Tuesday evening, July 31, 2018.

Parading some criminal suspects before newsmen at the command headquarters, Dutsen-Kura, Minna, the Public Relations Officer (PPRO), DSP Muhammad Dan-Inna Abubarkar said the police detectives attached to Anti-kidnapping Squad arrested Shamsudeen in Suleja for abduction.

The PPRO said, “Police detectives attached to Anti-kidnapping Squad arrested one Shamsudeen Bashiru of Dawaki Angwan Jekada Suleja for abducting Okwudiri 16 years and Khadijat 16 years of Gwada in Shiroro Local Government Area, the case under investigation.”

The report stated that during the ‘doctored’ parade, journalists were denied access to Miracle and Okwudiri when they were brought out from the command’s cell, while the hijab (Moslem women’s wear) they were adorned with were removed and withheld by the police.

Journalists also observed that none of the leaders of the Association for the Enhancement of Muslim Welfare, Suleja in whose custody Miracle and Okwudiri had been kept without the knowledge and consent of their parents for almost four months were paraded.

It was also reported that the Secretary of the group, Bashir who initially refused to release Miracle and Okwudiri to their guardian, Mr. Ndubuisi Sunday when he visited their enclave in Suleja was sighted at the command headquarters, Minna, while other criminal suspects were being paraded.

Rachel Fubara, the Nigerian lady who a while ago, solicited for help on social media to treat a cancerous growth on her thigh has died in India.

According to Fejiro Oliver, who was at the vanguard of soliciting help for Racheal, she died in India while undergoing treatment.

She makes this clear in a tweet she sent in recently where she calls them “Unexposed, belligerent, unteachable desperately unrepentant dimwits” – wow! such strong words to describe the category of people that hold over 50% of the Nigerian population.

Loladesue is quite sorry for the women who are stuck dating, sleeping and dealing with this so-called dimwits. She wrote,

A young woman who got bitten by a reptile has wowed the public in China after she caught the reptile with her bare hands before taking it with her to the hospital.

She held the slithering animal around her wrist and calmly went to the ER so the medics could identify it, according to a hospital in eastern China’s Zhejiang Province.

Huang Shengqiang, the ER doctor who treated the woman, stated that the snake was a non-venomous red-banded snake. Dr Huang said there was no swelling around the patient’s wound, so he gave her simple treatment.

Viral pictures taken by the medics show the patient filling out a registration form while grabbing the snake with her thumb and fingers.

‘(She) is a femme fatale,’ gushed ER nurse Ma Nina at Jinhua’s Pujiang Hospital as she recalled the incident which occurred during the wee hours on Sunday.

The hospital said in a statement that the patient is around 20 years old. She told the doctor that she was searching for her dropped phone in the shrubs while being bitten by the snake, which then crawled onto her palm. The woman then caught the snake.

A 20-year-old woman was reportedly murdered by her alleged boyfriend in Oval Maidan, Mumbai, India on Monday night – the police said the accused stabbed Nasreen Umar Shaikh, (pictured) with a knife around 14 times as he suspected her of having an affair.

After murdering her at 9 pm, the suspect Salman Shaikh, went home and after some time spoke to the father of the woman asking him if she had reached home, the police said.

Later, he accompanied the woman’s father to Mumbra, Colaba and Azad Maidan police stations to lodge a missing person complaint.

The police have arrested Shaikh, 28, a resident of Byculla, who works as a delivery boy with Swiggy, a food ordering and delivery platform.

“Salman came in touch with Nasreen Umar Shaikh, a resident of Mumbra, when she was working with Chai Pe Charcha Café in Fort,” said an officer from Azad Maidan police station.

They were in a relationship for the last three months, said the police, adding that Salman is married and has a son. He helped Nasreen when her father, Umar Mohammed Shaikh – a scrap dealer – was ill, the police said.

For the past some time, he was suspecting Nasreen of having an affair, so on Monday night, he called her to Oval Maidan, said the police.

The two sat there for some time, and later on when they had an argument, Salman stabbed her several times on her stomach and back, and fled the scene.

“After killing her, he went home in Byculla but he could not sleep. He then called Umar and asked him if Nasreen had returned home.

When Umar said no, Salman went to Mumbra and accompanied Umar to Mumbra police station where they wanted to lodge a missing person complaint, but they were directed to the Colaba police station,” said an official from Azad Maidan police station.

When they went to Colaba police station, they were asked to go to Azad Maidan police station as the area where Nasreen worked falls in their jurisdiction. Umar and Salman were walking towards Azad Maidan when they saw a crowd near Oval Maidan, police said.

“We came to know about the body around 6 am on Tuesday, and around 7 am Umar and Salman were walking near Oval Maidan. Umar immediately identified his daughter and claimed the body in GT Hospital where a post-mortem was conducted,”said a police official.

“Later Umar told us that he suspected Salman’s hand in the murder. We examined Salman and found blood on his legs. On questioning, Salman admitted his crime. He told us that he stabbed Nasreen with a knife as he suspected her of having an affair. He said he spent a lot of money on her,”said an official from Azad Maidan police station.

DCP Abhishek Trimukhe of Zone I confirmed that Salman has been arrested. He will be soon produced in court, Trimukhe said.

A 13-year-old Kenyan school-girl, who was photographed hanging dangerously on a motorbike carrying has received help from a Nairobi-based Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO).

Faith Jepchirchir went viral on the internet after her photo was shared on social media.

According to the Standard, the young girl had reportedly walked for seven kilometers to help her grandmother gather firewood which she sells for their up-keep. A boda boda rider offered to help ferry the firewood with the girl balancing atop the bike.

A social media user quickly snapped the photos which later made rounds on social media as jokes and memes.

The NGO, Soles for African Child, traced the girl to her grandmother’s home in Elgeyo Marakwet and gave her several pair of shoes. She has also received dozen of offers from well-wishers who are willing to support and finance her education.

Faith, who aspires to be a medical doctor told the NGO thats she plans to buy her first pair of shoes with her first salary. Her teachers describe her as hardworking and disciplined.

Ike Ekweremadu suffers high blood pressure

Deputy Senate President, Ike Ekweremadu, was hurriedly released by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission on Wednesday after suffering high blood pressure during interrogation.

Punch reports that the Ekweremadu who was interrogated for over eight hours on Tuesday, returned for another round of questioning on Wednesday morning but after some hours, he had high blood pressure and was allowed to go home.

“During the interrogation on Wednesday, the Deputy Senate President started to complain of discomfort and he told us that he had high blood pressure. We noticed the symptoms and we immediately released him.” a source at the anti-graft commission said.

Ekweremadu was invited by the commission undeclaring some of his properties. It was alleged that while the lawmaker listed some of the properties in his asset declaration form filled at the Code of Conduct Bureau, over half of the properties were undeclared.

The properties include 11, Evans Enwerem Street, Apo Legislative Quarters, Apo, Abuja; Plot 2633 Kyami, Abuja; Housing Estate, Plot 1106 CRD, Cadastral Zone 07-07, Lugbe, Abuja; Plot 2782, Asokoro Extension, Abuja; houses at Citi Park Estate, Gwagwalada, Abuja; and Plot 1474, Cadastral Zone BD6, Mabushi, Abuja.

Other properties allegedly undeclared by the senator include Congress Court, Abuja; Flat 1, Block D25, Athletics Street, (24th Street) Games Village, Abuja; and Plot 66, 64 Crescent, Gwarimpa Estate, Abuja.

In North Carolina, it’s a serious offense to commit adultery and it attracts punishment if a jilted spouse sue for “alienation of affection.”

According to New York’s Pix11, a judge awarded a North Carolina man $8.8 million from a man who had an affair with his wife on Thursday.

The man, Keith King, 48, who runs BMX Stunt Shows sued his wife’s lover and was just awarded $8.8 million from the judge after citing an obscure law, Pix11 reported.

“To me, that was the most important thing, the most sacred thing my family,” he said. “Every time he knew I was out of town, he would come into town.”

King claimed his marriage to his wife Danielle, 33, was in great shape until his her boyfriend came along and ruined everything.

According to father of one, he found out his wife was cheating on him with Francisco Huizar in 2015 after viewing phone records.

“I called him from her phone and I said, ‘She’s a married woman, leave her alone. Don’t you ever contact her again,'” King told Inside Edition.

He says the affair continued for months in secret. Then last year, she moved out of their home. Soon after, he went to her new apartment and was shocked to find the lover there.

“She’s my wife man — she’s my wife!, I felt like I just witnessed her die,” he said of confronting her lover.

Speaking on the $8.8 million dollar award, King said :”There isn’t a dollar amount that you can put on it for what I think my family’s worth,” he said.

How Police in Abuja allegedly helped killer of Corp member escape after an accident

The Police in Abuja has been accused of allegedly helping the killer of serving corp members escape after causing a fatal accident that killed a young man, identified as Tony.

Tony was a member of the Capital Movement in the City and his colleagues alleged that the first respondent after the accident, instead of rushing the victim to the hospital, resorted to looting his car and then making attempt for the BMW car of the culprit to be towed away.

On the 29th of July at 4am the morning after TCM Festival, Tony Zitta a corper serving in Abuja and a Founding member of the Capital movement was driving home and was hit at the junction of Diamond bank, Wuse II alongAdemola Adetokumbo.

An unidentified BMW 325 CI rammed into Tony’s Toyota Camry leaving him unconscious. Witnesses at the scene claim that the first police response unit instead of helping him, looted Tony (who was with the ticket money from the event) and looted his vehicle.

The police also helped the driver of the BMW to escape, clearing his vehicle and removing his license plate. Then leaving Tony there to die. Here is a picture of the Unidentified BMW. Please RT so we can identify the owner.

Some ladies at the scene however came and intervened as the first policemen tried to steal his items successfully saving his computer and camera.

As the ladies created a commotion other people came and made sure the second group of responders carried the BMW and Tony’s camry to the police station as some friends of the BMW owner had sent a tow truck to try and move the BMW away from the crime scene.

Meanwhile an unidentified female Samaritan rushed Tony to Garki hospital where they said they could not handle his situation, as they believed he had a brain injury and supposedly took a CT scan then referred him to Wuse General Hospital where they were told there was no space

He was referred to Gwagwalada teaching hospital an hour away. They claimed they drained his head of blood & he was stabilizing. The family & friends brought several doctors & neurosurgeons to see him but the hospital didnt allow claimin he was ok. Then on Monday morning he passed.

There are so many conversations that should be had concerning the death of Tony Zitta and we all need to make sure his death wasn’t in vain. Because at the end of the day it was not only the accident that killed him but the System.

It is most unfortunate that there was no member of the Team aware of the accident that night. It’s been a hard time for us all. Tony was the heart and soul of the movement & the thought of going on without him is unbearable. Tony will forever live on with each and everyone of us.

On this day 21 years ago, Fela Anikulapo Kuti a Nigerian multi-instrumentalist, musician, composer, pioneer of the Afrobeat music genre, human rights activist, and political maverick died at the age of 58 from complications related to AIDS.

If the Nigerian legend were still alive, he would have clocked 80 on October 15, 2018 unfortunately that day will be the climax of the annual Felabration Music Festival held in his honour.

Veteran Christian film producer, Mike Bamiloye has advised men to take more caution in looking beyond physical beauty when in search for a potential bride.

He made this statement in chat with The Punch, and also talked about what people need to do in order to have a blissful marriage.

“Men who want to get married, who desire to have the right lady, must not depend upon beauty because there are a lot of packaged beauties these days among ladies. You can’t trust the hair they have on, nor how beautiful they appear because it may have been packaged with makeup. Men should rather be patient and seek a woman that fears God.”

The film-maker further stated that a beautiful and career-inclined woman should not be a top priority when selecting a future partner.

Reacting to allegations from non-fans who claimed that a recent post by him on Instagram suggested that cooking should be left to women, Bamiloye said:

“I do help my wife in the kitchen. It is the will of God that every woman must be able to care for her husband but that does not mean men should not help their wives in the kitchen.”

He described his wife, Gloria Bamiloye, who is also an actress as an excellent cook capable of cooking the different delicacies he craved for.

He strongly noted that a lot of women out there were not prepared for marriage but were praying for husbands.

“Most women these days are focusing more on material things, which is also one of the things contributing to marriage break-ups. Some women are 28 but are not ripe for marriage because, even at that age, they are still dependent on people for many personal things.
