An accident survivor is full of thanks towards actress Toyin Abraham after she came to his aid and that of other passengers who were involved in an accident in Lekki.
Chris Michael Dzineku and other passengers in a bus were stranded and in need of help after the bus they were in crashed at Eleganza, Lekki, Lagos. The occupants of the bus sustained injuries and were in pain.
The Actress, who was passing by at that time, stopped her car and took them all to the hospital.

Two students of the Rufus Giwa Polytechnic, Owo have been hospitalized after having an accident while being chased by SARS operatives on Wednesday.
According to reports, Seun Ogunmola and Deborah Iyanuoluwa, both Accounting students, were assumed to be fraudsters, hence the chase.
Ogunmola, however, lost control of the car and crashed it. After the accident, the officers abandoned them and fled.
However, they were later rescued by some bystanders and rushed to the Federal Medical Centre, Owo. It was learnt that the car was borrowed by Ogunmola from his lodge’s president who is also a student of the Polytechnic.

A Nigerian man who is yet to be identified was gunned down last night in Yeoville, Johannesburg, South Africa.
This is coming, just 4 days after another Nigerian was killed in the country. The cause of the latest assassination and those behind it are unknown at the moment.
South African President, Cyril Ramaphosa, met with President Buhari on Wednesday where the purported targeted killings of Nigerians in South Africa was high on the agenda.
Speaking to the media after the event at the State House in Abuja, Ramaphosa rejected the narrative that Nigerians are being targeted in South Africa, saying that it’s purely a matter of criminality.

Operatives of the Special Anti Robbery Squad (SARS) yesterday attempted to implicate an ad agency owner, David, with claims that he was a ‘yahoo boy’.
David narrated his ordeal at the hands of the officials who made him miss an important meeting and allegedly attempted to extort him.
He said he was taken to Alagbon police station, near the passport office in Ikoyi, where he was made to spend the whole day without access to friends and family.
David said he couldn’t get the names of the five officials who had no uniform on and “looked like regular guys in a Benz”.
He narrated his experience after he was finally released:
I’ve been at the police station all day. I got in a taxify heading to a meeting with a client. These dudes in t shirts and jeans stop my driver. I look up from my phone and they are asking him to come out of the car.
I scan the area. No police uniforms , no squad car, no police bike, no police issued guns, one dude is wearing a GTB promo tshirt, the rest are wearing slippers and torn jeans. My mind goes to kidnappers, area boys, ritualists.
The one in a floral shirt is asking my driver to come down and the other is trying to get in the car. So I scream No!!!!! Tell the driver to wind up. Tell him to move. They block our car with a black Benz ML.
At this point I turn to them and I’m like this shit is not going to happen today. My taxify driver in fear has already opened his door. Smh. They’ve dragged the old man out. So I come out. And I start yelling at them to leave him alone.
One dude in a tshirt shows me a police ID. By this time I’m already mad. They are dragging my driver, one is getting in, the other is trying to search the car. So I threaten to call police officers I know. Screaming I’ll get you guys arrested.
These guys handcuff me and put me in their Benz. Having been kidnapped by guys claiming to be policemen in the past. I’m very weary. I literally believe I’m being kidnapped. I’m like damn, not again man. At this point they are just threatening to show me and deal with me.
Lucky for me they turn into the police station. I have never been so happy to see a Nigerian police station in my life. I’m thinking ok at least they are police officers. The rest will sort itself out.
So the lead officer starts to narrate a crazy story to his boss. How they saw me , suspected me, followed the taxify all the way from 1004 into Lekki. I’m weak at this point. This dude is claiming I’m a criminal, how i resisted arrest, I assaulted all of them.
They go through every single aspect of my phone, go through my laptop. They see my Bank of America account , my emails to clients in the US and India. They have their evidence. I’m fraudster. Statement paper appears. The guy is dictating what I should write.
I say man you must be stupid to think I’ll write what you dictate to me. At this point the taxify driver is now in the station, my own personal driver is here. They are threatening to lock both drivers up. That I’m a yahoo boy!
It just made me realize how many innocent people without my clout are in jail on false charges. These officers wanted me to write what they dictated in my statement. I was like wow!!!!!!
I hear one of them tell the other in pidgin, na legit guy na legit guy. Because he saw all my client emails on my system. The lead dude was still looking for a way to hold me down. I write the statement and tell them I own an ad agency and an investment company.
They write up a report and the senior office says they should follow me to my house. Search my whole house to find out if I own an ad agency. I look at him like he is the dumbest idiot I have ever seen.
So I ask, not my office, not the Internet, not my laptop bag, you’ve been through all my emails but you need to search my house to prove my ad agency is there. He is looking at me like dumbo at this point. I’m like do whatever you want.
They refuse to let me call my law firm. Seize my phones , my laptop, wrist watches, my hand is swollen from extra tight handcuffs. Then they take me outside and ask me to parcel cash for them. Smh. The lead guy is threatening to detain me and hang me upside down. Lol.
So I lose it and I tell him you are a fucking idiot. A corrupt slug and you are the scum of the earth. I won’t give you one fucking dime you lazy corrupt kidnapping bastard. Do your worst. At this point they are definitely not going to let me call anyone.
One starts to pacify me, that chief it’s not like that “. Starts to appeal to the naija boy. No be so chairman. By this time I’ve been in the station 4 hrs. My shoes are off, phones and laptop seized. They bring me a detention paper to scare me into dropping cash.
As soon as I see detention papers or whatever the bloody hell that was, I fucking lose it. I’m abusing and cursing everybody’s father. You are all bastards and you’ll die like bastards. When these guys realize they can’t shake me down. They tell me “we told CP you’re a fraudster.
So CP has to order your release. At this point I’ve received 50 missed calls from clients and staff. I need to get out, 5hrs has passed. They take me to CP’s office and claim some stupid shit and then say o but he’s legit and so the guy says release him. At this point O Lord.
So I’m packing up to leave and they bring a bail bond for me to pay or something stupid. Men I went off on this bastard. Called him unprintable names. At this point the whole station is pleading with me and hugging me to calm down. I just left. All day lost. Meetings not done.
How many innocent guys sit in Nigerian prisons because they didn’t bow to corrupt police officers? This bastards were dictating a statement to me. I was like” you must be bloody crazy. My heart bleeds for kids who just went about their daily lives and met the police.
Today they sit in Kirikiri awaiting trial for some crime that never existed. I ended up making some friends though. I heard heroic tales of catching criminals. So I commend some but if you’re a police officer and you’re corrupt may you meet one worse than you. Idiot.”
Nigerian citizens’ endless cries for much-needed reform of the Police Force continue to go unheeded by the government.
The Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Imohimi Edgal has asked the Gender Unit of the Ilaje Police Division in Bariga to unravel the allegations of sexual harassment against an officer at the station.
According to a report by The Nation, a widow, Mrs Adebukola Mowette, is alleging that an officer, simply identified as Egi asked her for s*x to grant her bail.
“He fondled my breasts and threatened to ensure I rot in prison if I refused to sleep with him. He said in jail, they will shave the hairs on my private parts and those on my head,”the woman said yesterday.
It was gathered that Mowette, who was detained on June 25, after a fight with a man, said she was yet to get over the humiliation and harassment she went through.
She said she was shocked by the actions of another policeman and a policewoman, who told her to accept Egi’s proposal for the case against her would be dropped.
The woman recalled that it all started in May when she reported the loss of her phone at the station.
She claimed that she placed her phone on a roadside betting kiosk popularly known as Baba Ijebu, where some youngsters sat in order to tie her wrapper properly, adding that when she was done, she did not find the phone again.
“They said they did not see my phone and so, I had to go to the police to report. They were invited but at the end of the day, the Investigating Police Officer (IPO) said I accused them wrongly and asked us to go.
“From that day, whenever I passed, they would be threatening me and making snide remarks. I never replied them. I even reported the matter to our Community Development Association (CDA). But on June 25, my son came from Ikorodu and they stopped him on the road and threatened him as well. They said they would kill us if we did not leave the street for them.
“There was no way I would allow them threaten my son and so, I went out and confronted that particular area boy. He pushed me. I also pushed him back.
“We started fighting; people separated us and I left. The next thing, police came and arrested me that I have injured him and that he could not walk again. They took me to the station and locked me up inside the cell.
“I even asked Egi why I was the only one arrested, since it was two fighting but he said the complainant was in the hospital. That I have not seen anything yet.”
Mowette said she rebuffed Egi’s love advances, claiming that the policeman told her she was in for a hard time.
She said he rained curses on her and also poured water on her through the cell’s ventilation holes.
“I told him I will not sleep with him even if he was the last man on earth. This got him angry and he started pouring water through those holes and said he would pour urine too. After some hours, he brought me out that I should come and write my statement. I told him I will not write anything because I do not know what he wanted me to write.
“He then pressed my breasts and said is this what you are doing Shakara with? Do you know how many young and beautiful women I have slept with here? I will even be doing you a favour by sleeping with you.
“Since you have refused, you will go to prison. There, they will shave the hair in your private parts, your hair and lock you up for many years.
“My sister, the worst part was that a policewoman and another policeman were telling me to agree to sleep with Egi that it is a normal thing. I was so angry and disappointed at the same time. The woman called me Iyawo Egi and said that if I should agree, they will just close the case and I will go home.
“But I stood my ground. How can I agree to sleep with him? For what? Egi said he’s the only one that can help me that I should befriend him. I refused that never will I do such, he threatened to take me to court.
“He forced me to say my statement. I did not write it. I was just talking and he was writing. He did not let me see what he wrote. He asked the guy if he’s ready to go to court but he said no that he wanted settlement and that I should pay N40,000 he used to treat himself.
“Egi now said I should pay the money or I will be sent to Kirikiri Prison. Out of fear, I accepted to pay the money and they said I had to provide it that day. I told them I did not have it that day. I even went to beg the Divisional Police Officer (DCO) but he shouted at me and said I should go and settle with Egi my IPO.
“After rallying round for some days to raise money and I could not, I went back to the police station and told Egi that I could not raise money. He said if I had agreed to cooperate with him, the matter would have been closed. That day was Friday and so, he gave me till Monday to provide the money.
“So, I went to my uncle for help and he gave me N5,000, which I took to the station but Egi said it was not complete. I told him I could not raise more and he started harassing me and touching my breast. I knocked off his hands and he said I must bring the money the next day. He also threatened to kill me if I tell anyone what happened.
“I had to run to the palace for help because I did not know what to do again. I am happy I met you here. Please, I need help. The Commissioner of Police and government need to know what is happening. They need to investigate Ilaje Police Division.”
Edgal directed the Gender Unit to conduct a discreet investigation into the case, adding that the matter would not be swept under the carpet, restating his intolerance for misconduct or any action capable of smearing the police.
He said: “Please, always bring matters like these to my attention. I assure you it will be investigated, the truth established and actions taken.”
It was gathered that the parties have made statements and asked to return on Tuesday.
Keeping Up With the Kardashians matriarch, Kris Jenner in a candid interview with Fox News Channel’s OBJECTified opened up on how her infidelity broke her marriage to the late Robert Kardashian Sr.
In the interview set to air Sunday, Jenner, 62, said one of her biggest regrets in life was having an affair during her marriage to Robert Kardashian.
“I married Robert when I was 22 years old and I got pregnant on my honeymoon — I had the happiest life you could’ve dreamt about,” she recalls to host Harvey Levin. “But when you’re in something, sometimes people think the grass is always greener and that was like what I think I went through at some point.”

The Lagos State Governor, Akinwunmi Ambode yesterday hosted the 11-year old artist, Kareem Warris Olamilekan who drew a portrait of French President, Emmanuel Macron in 2 hours when he visited the Afrika Shrine in Lagos.The young artist was accompanied by his parents, teachers and instructor.
The Governor promised to help him become a great artist in life. He also pledged to support Warris instructor who owns Ayowole Academy of Arts.
Emmanuel macron, President of France, on Tuesday, July 3rd visited the Afrika Shrine, where he met Kareem Olamilekan, an 11-year-old boy who made a drawing of him under two hours.
The boy, who dreams of becoming like Caprese Michelangelo — an Italian sculptor, painter, architect and poet of the High Renaissance who lived from March 1475 to February 1564 — impressed the French President with his art.
The president apparently, liked Olamilekan’s drawing as he shared the video of the presentation on his Instagram page, President Macron wrote:

An Instagram Model, Katarina Zarutskie was badly bitten by a Shark while she was swimming and taking photos.
Zarutskie was fortunate to still have her arm after a nurse shark latched onto it and dragged her under water while swimming with a school of seemingly harmless sharks in the Bahamas last month.
The 19-year-old Zarutskie, an avid surfer from Laguna Beach, California, and a nursing student, told Fox News she was on vacation with her boyfriend and his family when locals told her about the opportunity to swim with nurse sharks in Staniel Cay.
She added the locals were “very encouraging” in telling her to try the activity.
“We had seen all these nurse sharks swimming around the marina and I had already known, because I have surfed my whole life; that nurse sharks are relatively harmless
“I thought it was safe and I saw kids snorkeling, and against my boyfriend’s family’s wishes I thought it would be fine,” Zarutskie said.
The nursing student recalled everything being fine when she first entered the water until she leaned back and held her arms out.
Her boyfriend’s father was snapping pictures and captured the moment the shark sank its teeth into her arm and pulled her under.
“It was very scary. I was pulled under and I’m very fortunate it was a minor situation. It could have been way worse; they could have all started to attack given that they have a pack mentality,” Zarutskie said.
She added: “Everyone said they could hear the bite. They said it sounded like a big vacuum seal sort of thing and it all happened very fast. I was not screaming and crying. I was staying very calm.”
Zarutskie said her past training for surfing and scuba diving quickly kicked in and helped her in the situation.
She said she was “very blessed” she was able to quickly rip her arm out of the shark’s mouth and cover the wound to prevent blood from getting to the other sharks lurking around.
“If the shark would have got my hand in a different way, I probably would not have been able to get my hand out,” she said.
Staniel Cay marina owner David Hocher told NBC NEWS there was a warning sign posted in the area stating visitors must “swim with the sharks at your own risk.” He added it appeared the Instagram model went in the water during feeding time.
Zarutskie said she did not see a sign where she entered and would have never gone in the water if they were feeding the sharks.

Despite the scary experience, Zarutskie said she still loves the wildlife and sharks and hopes to bring awareness to the animals. As for returning to Staniel Cay, the California native said she would go back in a heartbeat.

In his tweets @jassjegs, the SARS officers who arrested his cousin alleged that he was a yahoo boy, only to change the story by accusing the deceased of a being a cultist. However after the mother of the deceased couldn’t pay the 60K bail for the release of her child, the soldier alleged that his cousin was tortured to death.

A Doctor had a shocking experience at work and the young lady went on social media to share her story.

She said the beautiful 3-year old girl walked into her office with her mum and another woman. It would be recalled that there was drama in Ado Ekiti on Wednesday as Governor Ayo Fayose said he was brutalised by policemen who allegedly stormed the main entrance to the Ekiti State Government House to stop a rally by the Peoples Democratic Party.
Residents said there were gunshots at the main entrance to the Government House while tear gas canisters were reportedly shot to disperse the crowd at the rally.
Fayose cried and sat on the ground at a press conference claiming his life was under threat and the Inspector General of Police, Ibrahim Idris could be held responsible if anything happens to him.
