The Lagos State Governor, Akinwunmi Ambode yesterday hosted the 11-year old artist, Kareem Warris Olamilekan who drew a portrait of French President, Emmanuel Macron in 2 hours when he visited the Afrika Shrine in Lagos.The young artist was accompanied by his parents, teachers and instructor.
The Governor promised to help him become a great artist in life. He also pledged to support Warris instructor who owns Ayowole Academy of Arts.
Emmanuel macron, President of France, on Tuesday, July 3rd visited the Afrika Shrine, where he met Kareem Olamilekan, an 11-year-old boy who made a drawing of him under two hours.
The boy, who dreams of becoming like Caprese Michelangelo — an Italian sculptor, painter, architect and poet of the High Renaissance who lived from March 1475 to February 1564 — impressed the French President with his art.
The president apparently, liked Olamilekan’s drawing as he shared the video of the presentation on his Instagram page, President Macron wrote:
I am very touched. Congratulations to this young boy!
An Instagram Model, Katarina Zarutskie was badly bitten by a Shark while she was swimming and taking photos.
Zarutskie was fortunate to still have her arm after a nurse shark latched onto it and dragged her under water while swimming with a school of seemingly harmless sharks in the Bahamas last month.
The 19-year-old Zarutskie, an avid surfer from Laguna Beach, California, and a nursing student, told Fox News she was on vacation with her boyfriend and his family when locals told her about the opportunity to swim with nurse sharks in Staniel Cay.
She added the locals were “very encouraging” in telling her to try the activity.
“We had seen all these nurse sharks swimming around the marina and I had already known, because I have surfed my whole life; that nurse sharks are relatively harmless
“I thought it was safe and I saw kids snorkeling, and against my boyfriend’s family’s wishes I thought it would be fine,” Zarutskie said.
The nursing student recalled everything being fine when she first entered the water until she leaned back and held her arms out.
Her boyfriend’s father was snapping pictures and captured the moment the shark sank its teeth into her arm and pulled her under.
“It was very scary. I was pulled under and I’m very fortunate it was a minor situation. It could have been way worse; they could have all started to attack given that they have a pack mentality,” Zarutskie said.
She added: “Everyone said they could hear the bite. They said it sounded like a big vacuum seal sort of thing and it all happened very fast. I was not screaming and crying. I was staying very calm.”
Zarutskie said her past training for surfing and scuba diving quickly kicked in and helped her in the situation.
She said she was “very blessed” she was able to quickly rip her arm out of the shark’s mouth and cover the wound to prevent blood from getting to the other sharks lurking around.
“If the shark would have got my hand in a different way, I probably would not have been able to get my hand out,” she said.
Staniel Cay marina owner David Hocher told NBC NEWS there was a warning sign posted in the area stating visitors must “swim with the sharks at your own risk.” He added it appeared the Instagram model went in the water during feeding time.
Zarutskie said she did not see a sign where she entered and would have never gone in the water if they were feeding the sharks.
She also said she is not placing blame on anyone for the incident but believes the bite was “all a big accident” and the shark may have mistaken her for a piece of food.
She added: “We will never know.”
Nurse sharks are slow-moving bottom-dwellers that are mostly harmless to humans, according to National Geographic. The sharks, however, will bite people as a defense if they are stepped on or bothered.
They are known to have strong jaws to crush hard food such as shellfish and coral.
The 19-year-old said it is been a journey healing the bite wound. Zarutskie encountered multiple complications and doctors believe there may still be “pieces of the tooth” lodged in her arm.
“It was a humbling experience and I have learned a lot,” she said.
Despite the scary experience, Zarutskie said she still loves the wildlife and sharks and hopes to bring awareness to the animals. As for returning to Staniel Cay, the California native said she would go back in a heartbeat.

In his tweets @jassjegs, the SARS officers who arrested his cousin alleged that he was a yahoo boy, only to change the story by accusing the deceased of a being a cultist. However after the mother of the deceased couldn’t pay the 60K bail for the release of her child, the soldier alleged that his cousin was tortured to death.

A Doctor had a shocking experience at work and the young lady went on social media to share her story.
The Doctor took to twitter to narrate her experience with an abused child, her mother and their neighbor.
She said the beautiful 3-year old girl walked into her office with her mum and another woman. She asked what the problem was and found out the yong girl was raped by a neighbor’s son, in which she later found out that the so called neighbor was the other woman that followed the woman and her daughter and her son was the perpetrator.
A Nigerian Doctor identified as Etin-Osa Imagbenikaro has laughed off the arm sling and neck collar worn by Governor Fayose after he accused operatives of the Nigeria Police Force of beating him up.
She has insinuated that Fayose’s claims of being attacked by the security operatives might be false.

It would be recalled that there was drama in Ado Ekiti on Wednesday as Governor Ayo Fayose said he was brutalised by policemen who allegedly stormed the main entrance to the Ekiti State Government House to stop a rally by the Peoples Democratic Party.
Residents said there were gunshots at the main entrance to the Government House while tear gas canisters were reportedly shot to disperse the crowd at the rally.
Fayose cried and sat on the ground at a press conference claiming his life was under threat and the Inspector General of Police, Ibrahim Idris could be held responsible if anything happens to him.

A doctor and his driver miraculously survived after his car was crushed when a tanker fell from the Ojuelegba bridge and landed on cars, killing commuters, on June 19, 2018.
Professor Olufemi Adetola Fasanmade was one of those affected in the crash. His car was badly crushed. But he and his driver managed to come out alive from the car.
Fred Chukwulobe, a friend of Professor Fasanmade, shared a photo of the badly damaged car and gave a testimony on behalf of the professor.
He wrote:
“MIRACLE STILL HAPPENS.
THANK GOD FOR MY DOCTOR AND FRIEND, PROF. Olufemi Adetola Fasanmade who miraculously survived this terrible accident. An articulated vehicle fell on top of his car, crushing it and not him.
He and his driver came out of this mangled car with minor injuries. Praise God.
Prof. Fasanmade, an endocrinologist and an amiable human being, treats my mother and my family. I recall each time I go visiting him, we discuss the challenges confronting our beleaguered nation. He’s so passionate about this country and will always tell me how he looked forward to the day our country will come out of the woods.

Shridhar Chillal, an octogenarian from India, has finally perform an ordinary chore that he has not done in the last 66 years – cut his fingernails – the longest in the world.
The historic nail-cutting ceremony took place at Ripley’s Believe It or Not! Museum in Times Square.
The 82-year-old had been growing the nails on his left hand since he was 14, having been inspired to do so after a teacher told him off when he accidentally broke a very long nail the teacher had grown.
The teacher told Chillal that he wouldn’t understand the kind of care it took not to break a long nail unless he did it himself. Chilal certainly took that to heart.
According to Wikipedia, Shridhar Chillal held the world record for the longest fingernails ever reached on a single hand, with a combined length of 909.6 centimeters.
Three men died, on Thursday, after being struck by lightning following a downpour in Ijebu-Ode, Ogun.
The incident occurred opposite the Otunba Dipo Dina International Stadium road in Ijebu-Ode at about 3 pm.
It was gathered that the victims, and a fourth person, had disembarked from their motorcycles and ran toward a makeshift shelter for the rains to subside when tragedy struck.
The three victims were said to have been hit while the fourth person took to his heels unharmed.

A pregnant lady disguising as a burn victim, yesterday, escaped jungle justice after being nabbed at the New Auto Spare parts Dealers Market Nkpor, Onitsha, Anambra State.
The suspect had already succeeded in deceiving many people, claiming her face was burnt during a gas cylinder explosion.
However, an observant man identified as Kelvin, suspected it was a makeup and quickly told her to leave the market, but before she could leave, other people got wind and pounced on her.
Sensing that she might be killed due to her condition, Kelvin immediately called in security officers and handed the suspect over to them. She was later smuggled out of the market.
