Big Brother Naija ‘level up’ winner, Ijeoma Josephina Otabor, better known as Phyna, has disclosed how her relationships with brands have suffered as a result of social media controversies.
The Big Brother Naija “Level Up” winner said that because of her constant disputes with both critics and colleagues, she has lost a total of 17 ambassadorial deals.
Phyna revealed this information in an interview with her colleague, Doyinsola David, on a recent edition of her podcast, Doyin’s Corner.
She said that because of the bad public impression of her—that is, people believing she is abusive—one specific company rejected collaborating with her.
The company’s stance followed reports that Phyna had given her ex-boyfriend Groovy a slap for allegedly going behind her back to get a deal that was intended for the two of them.
Phyna stated that the majority of unfavourable reports from bloggers contributed to the dent that her image has suffered.
She said:
“Two weeks ago, my manager and I did a calculation of how many deals I lost last year till now. We counted 17 deals.
I am aware of a big brand that told me their reason for not working with me is because I am an abuser. They said they can’t work with an abuser, and this was coming during that period that bloggers said I slapped someone.”

A Nigerian man has been left distraught and heartbroken after his girlfriend terminated their twin pregnancy without his approval.
In a chat with YabaleftOnline, the young man disclosed that his live-in girlfriend was three months pregnant with twins when she took the decision to abort the pregnancy without his knowledge.
According to him, plans were underway for their wedding and they had already informed his mother that they were expecting twin children.
However, he was taken aback when his girlfriend sent a video of her laughing and playing with the fetus after terminating the pregnancy.
In the video, the young lady is seen using her hands to play with the underdeveloped baby and pointing out it’s private area, indicative of a boy, before proceeding to bury it.
The man said in part,
“It’s a rather lengthy story about my serious girlfriend who lived with me and terminated our twin pregnancy. This is what she did with the unborn children [referring to the video of the fetus].
Around three months into her pregnancy, she requested to visit her house and assured me she’d be back. We hadn’t had any quarrels, and I can provide screenshots of our chats before she took this action.
Instead of returning home, she went to her friend’s place, which irritated me further because we had discussed plans, and she promised to return home. Later, she informed me she was in pain. When I asked what was wrong, she revealed she had terminated the pregnancy, the same one she had informed my mother about earlier. I became upset and confronted her. She claimed it was all a test, and I had failed.
The next day, she sent me a video, and two days later, another video of the second terminated child. All of this unfolded while we were in the midst of planning our marriage.”

Controversial activist Adetoun has shared her alleged encounter with the late singer Ilerioluwa Aloba, better known as Mohbad.
Adetoun, who claims to be a prophetess, asserted that the late singer’s spirit sought out a pregnant woman to be reincarnated through her unborn child, but the pregnant woman refused.

A yet-to-be identified man has become a sex offender in the UK after he was caught sex-chatting with a minor, with the intent of sleeping with her.

Nigerian rapper, Erhiga Agarivbie, better known as Erigga, has chastised his father for feeling entitled to his fortune even though he had little involvement in his upbringing.
He said that his father abandoned him when he was eight years old and that he had to raise himself, only for the man to now scold the musician for not taking care of him.
The hip-hop singer claims that his father has been contacting him and making demands ever since he got famous.
In an interview on the Spill With Phyna podcast, Erigga said that his stepbrothers were pleading with him to pardon their father since he had done the same to them.
He said;
“When you see parents start feeling entitled, it doesn’t make sense because you had many years ahead of me, why didn’t make it before me? People don’t really address this entitlement mentality in Africa.
I was facing the street alone. I was involved in too many things that I can’t even say on camera. And I just keep wondering like what if I was shot or arrested? Because most of the people I was with then are either dead or in jail.
I had to start raising myself at the age of 8. I started living with my friends and learning bad habits. But then again, I fell in love with music at a very tender age so I knew where I wanted to be regardless of where I was.
Then many years later, I now become Erigga then somebody comes and say, ‘Yo! You’re not taking care of me. You’re not doing this and that.’ And I’m like, ‘Bro, na relations we be because you no father the father wey you suppose father normally. I don father myself alone. And I can’t give you the credit.
All my stepbrothers started begging me to forgive our dad, saying he wasn’t also responsible to them. But at the end of the day, they are only having the conversation with me because I am who I am.”

The Governor of Ondo state,Rotimi Akeredolu, has passed away after a prolonged battle with leukemia.
The politician, who was born in Owo, Ondo state, gave up the ghost in Lagos state on Wednesday, December 27, at the age of 67.
It was gathered that he was being managed by State House doctors in Lagos because they could not take him overseas for medical treatment.
A reliable source said,
“Akeredolu is dead; he died in Lagos.”
“They were looking for dialysis machines to be sent to his secret location in Lagos last week.”
According to reports, Akeredolu faced an undisclosed health challenge after undergoing medical treatment abroad in June. Upon his return to Nigeria in September, he chose to stay in Ibadan, the capital of Oyo State, from where he continued to govern his state.
This sparked mixed reactions from his people. On Wednesday, December 13, he took another medical leave and formally delegated power to his deputy, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, who subsequently assumed the role of governor in an acting capacity.
In light of her husband’s health condition, Akeredolu’s wife, Betty, announced the suspension of planned activities for her 70th birthday party via Twitter posts. This decision followed concerns raised about holding festivities amid her husband’s illness.
She tweeted,
“Hello Family and Friends. This is to inform you that all activities lined up to mark my 70th birthday are hereby suspended till further notice due to unforeseen circumstances beyond my control. Sorry for any inconvenience caused by this development.
“Nevertheless, be assured that I will be celebrated in style upon my return. Thank you for your understanding. I remain Arabinrin a.k.a Ada Owere I.”
A lady while sharing her opinion about ‘generational curses’ has narrated how it wiped her family members.
Sharing on the microblogging platform X, she attached the dates and circumstances of how she lost a loved one.
She wrote,
“I’m not one of those people that believe in curses and external forces especially in a negative light…but I somewhat believe my grandfather (mom’s dad) opened up a can of worms that has had a negative influence to some specific children of his not all of them….cont My mom’s dad was a hardworking Medical Doctor. He was known in the neighborhood and had 11 beautiful children with his wife (my grandmother). They were just known to be a good, loving family and people barely experienced any negative side to the family. One day out of the blue he came back home, went straight to the bedroom and got a phanga (not sure what we’d call it in English) but he butchered almost everyone in the house, some ran for their lives and hid, some children weren’t so lucky. 7 kids, including my mom and… my grandmother made it out alive but not before my grandfather hung himself. Fast forward to my mom’s married life. Our dad worked really hard to make sure that my siblings and I had everything we wished for. Growing up, my siblings and I didn’t really struggle I was the youngest, my other sibling went to good private schools and excelled. The issue was my dad had a gun, was strict and had a temper, and all so often he’d threaten to kill the whole family. I was super young at the time but I remember a little a few occasions where… He would throw these rage fueled tantrums but he never did anything. I find them to be problem as well. The first death in the family happened when I was 11 years old, Nov 2012. It was my dad, he was gunned down. Person who did it never found. The next one was 4 months later, I was 12 years. March 2013, it was my oldest sister who was indirectly killed by a man who raped her in the 1990’s with the sole purpose on infecting her with HIV, he succeeded cos she later got sick and died. The next death was my older sister. I was 21 at the time in Feb 2012. She in an abusive relationship. When she eventually had the courage to leave the boyfriend butchered her to death with a phanga ( similar weapon our grandfather used) This death was painful for my mom. The nature of it and just how every1 tried to get my sister out of the relationship alive and failed. My mom’s health deteriorated and within 2 years, I could barely recognize her, she had a stroke, and passed away. I was 23, August 2014 The last to pass away from my family was my brother, I was 27 in Sept 2018. He got mixed up with the wrong crowd. He was a well educated gent an Engineer to be exact but for some odd reason things fell apart for him and he got shot while attempting a robbery. I’m 33 years old now. The only member of my family left in the past 5 years. I’ve had to buried every single member of my family. Do I think there is something behind it? A part of me would like to think, God’s plan but a part of me thinks its can’t be a coincidence that both my Female siblings were targeted or killed by men. It’s affected the way I interact with men and how much I open up to them. I’ve never been in a stable relationship with a man in my 33 years of life, I date here and there but not long enough to actually be serious… Anyway, this post was just to serve as confirmation that I do believe curses can be created. And they might not affected the entire generation but specific parts of it. The dates are Nov 2002, March 2003, Feb 2012, August 2014, September 2018.”
