The Minister of Women Affairs, Aisha Alhassan, believes that APC will rule Nigeria forever.
Alhassan said this in Abuja on Monday while addressing journalists shortly after the inauguration of state chairmen of the party.
She maintained that despite the wide-ranging rancour in the party, nothing would stop it from retaining power in 2019 and beyond. “Crisis is normal in a big party like APC,” she said.
“Once we can do our national convention, then we face the opposition PDP and I assure you that APC will win more states like Taraba in 2019.
I will make sure that in my zone, I follow up and by God’s grace Gombe and Taraba will be taken over in 2019. And don’t even talk about Nigeria because it’s already APC and it will continue to be APC forever.”
Alhassan who contested for governor in the state in 2015, said she will recontest in 2019.
”I will re-contest the election again in 2019 if God keeps me alive and well. It is God that gives power to whoever he desires, I won the election 2015, but God did not give me power. I will keep trusting in him and the grassroots people of Taraba and God willing, I will win the election.” she said

Fifty Nigerians suspected to be engaged in cyber fraud and armed robberies at Kasoa and its environs have been apprehended by personnel of the Police Intelligence Directorate.
Forty-six laptops, mobile phones and several electronic gadgets were retrieved from the suspects.
It was gathered that the raid was conducted based on intelligence received from residents, who complained about the rise in criminal activities in the area.
The suspects, comprising 49 men and a female, reportedly rented several apartments in the area to plan their nefarious activities.
Briefing the media, the Director-General in-charge of the Police Intelligence Directorate, Commissioner of Police (COP) Christian Tetteh Yohuno, said police personnel from the unit carried out the operation in the said areas at Gomoa Budumburam around 9.00am.
He said about 20 suspects were rounded up in the first apartment, which is a two-bedroom facility. “During the arrest, most of the suspects were busy on their laptops while the others were sleeping.”
COP Yohuno said the exhibits would be forwarded to the Cyber Crime Unit of the Police CID for further investigations.
“We are currently screening them for varying criminal offences, including cyber related crimes and robberies after which they would be handed over to the Ghana Immigration Service for residence status investigations,” the Director-General of the Unit revealed.
COP Yohuno also hinted that 21 out of the 46 suspected Nigerians rounded up in a similar exercise two weeks ago at Amanfrom, are to be repatriated by the Ghana Immigration Service for illegal immigration.
A woman admitted to detectives on Saturday that she shot and killed her husband because he was beating the family cat.
Mary Harrison, 47, was charged with murdering her husband, Dexter Harrison, 49, in Fall Manor Drive in Dallas, Texas. She told detectives in Dallas that she shot her husband during a heated argument on Saturday, June 2, 2018.
The shooting occurred just before 7:00 a.m. in the 13200 block of Fall Manor Drive in Dallas, according to police. Dexter Harrison was transported to Presbyterian Hospital in Dallas, where he was pronounced dead.
Neighbors told CBS that the couple moved into the neighborhood with their two teenage sons several months ago. They said the family’s pet cat went missing, but after the wife posted several signs, it was eventually returned.
“They were some good people. They don’t bother anybody,” neighbor Carl Phillips said. “A man got shot over a cat? It’s kind of crazy.”
Ex-big brother naija housemates, Tobi and BamBam were once paired together at the initial stage of the reality game show and they had a fantastic chemistry before things went sour.
The second runner up of the reality show has opened up on what went wrong with his friendship with fellow ex- housemate, BamBam, during the show.
Recall during their stay in the house, Tobi was briefly paired with BamBam. The pairing was in line with the theme for the week: bonding.
The chemistry between Tobi and BamBam induced several social media reactions, with some wishing for a romantic relationship between them.
However, things changed between them when Tobi repeatedly told other housemates and the host Ebuka Obi-Uchendu that he got the vibe that BamBam and her relationship with fellow housemate Teddy A, was fake.
Speaking in an interview with Pulse Magazine, Tobi said:

A woman went to an Igando customary court in Lagos seeking dissolution of her 4-year-old marriage and accusing her husband of conspiring with an Islamic cleric to sleep with her for 3 days in order for his business to become successful.
Mrs Musilimotu Olashuyi, 48, and her husband, Gbenga Olashuyi, 55, who have a child together, had earlier approached the court, seeking to end her marriage, claiming that an Alfa made love to her with her husband’s approval.
Narrating the incident, Musilimotu told the court:
Actually, my husband got to know the Alfa through me because I always go to his mosque to pray.
When he told me that my husband business is not moving fine, I brought him home to meet my husband. Before I know what was happening, my husband conspired with him to use me for money ritual. It was with my husband’s consent that the Alfa had sexual intercourse with me for three days.
After the incident, I started getting sick and getting emaciating and I told people around me what happened which led to the arrest of the cleric and my husband ran away. My husband resurfaced at the station after the cleric brought a remedy to cure me.
Musilimotu added that her husband threw her belongings out of their matrimonial home in her absence during which over N800,000 she kept in her boxes were stolen.
She also accused him of refusing to pay back the loan she collected on his behalf in which she stood as a guarantor. She begged the court to dissolve the marriage as she was no longer in love with her husband.
But her husband, Gbenga Olashuyi denied the allegations. He told the court that his wife and her lover, the cleric, persuaded him to buy a coffin for money ritual and that gave the cleric access to his home and wife.
He said:
“My wife brought the Alfa home, he told me that God revealed to him that my business was collapsing, that he will make some rites.
“I agreed because truly my business was not moving well. Since that day my wife has been coming home with the cleric with different objects and concoction for me to drink and bath with which I used.
“Later the cleric asked me to bring N800, 000 to buy some items for another rite.
“He also told me to buy a casket for him to make ritual money for me that I will put it in a separate room where nobody will enter except me.
“My wife begged me to comply with the Alfa’s request which I decline.”
Olashuyi went on to accuse his wife of infidelity.
He added that the cleric usually comes to their home to make love to his wife on their matrimonial bed.
“I got to know that the cleric was sleeping with my wife in our room when Musilimotu brought the police to arrest him for using charm on her to rape her.”
The cleric told the police that he never hypnotised my wife to rape, claiming it was with her consent he made love to her on those three occasions.
As a result of her infidelity, Olashuyi said he packed his wife’s belongings out of his house after giving her three months notice, yet she refused to pack out.
He asked the court to dissolve his marriage, stating that he was no longer interested and does not love his wife anymore.
Following the intervention of the court, presided over by Mr Akin Akinniyi, and the couple’s families, they were reconciled.
The wife then wrote a withdrawal letter to the court and told them that they would work to resolve their differences.
Akinniyi, while striking out the case, admonished the couple to maintain peace and to continue to live in love and harmony.
Since the court was able to reconcile the couple through thorough counseling, “I urged both of you to go home and live in peace and love,” Akinniyi said.

A five-month-old baby has been kidnapped by a group of Chimpanzees in Kyamajaka village Muhorro town council in Kagadi district.
Oliver Kemigisa, the mother to Rachael Karungi told New Vision that the incident happened a few minutes after 5:00pm on Sunday when she was preparing super at their home.
Kemigisa said she left the baby with another baby in the verandah as she moved about her chores in the compound a few metres away.
She says she heard the babies crying and when she turned, she saw over 20 chimpanzees surrounding the babies. One had already picked Karungi and the others also aiming at the 3-year-old boy as he cried.
She said that she wrestled with the chimpanzees for the boy as she made an alarm. She managed to save the boy, but the primates ran away with Karungi.
“When I saw that they (Chimpanzees) wanted to take my second child, I became firm and fought them. That is how I saved the boy,” said Kemigisa.
She said that Karungi was taken into the nearby bush, but residents turned up immediately and began chasing them. The animals had hidden the baby in the grass after removing the skirt she was wearing.
When the baby was discovered, she was unconscious and was immediately rushed to Muhorro Health center III where she is currently admitted.
She said that on a daily basis these chimpanzees traverse the area in search for food and they usually chase people.
A girl who was believed to have died two years ago and was buried shocked her community yesterday as she returned to her parents’ home in the quiet Masala town in Ndola, Zambia.
The girl, whose name was given only as Winnie, reportedly died of an illness and her body was deposited in the morgue. She was later buried at Mitingo cemetery and her family came to live with the pain of the loss.
However, the community was left shocked yesterday when the same girl returned home. The girl told her family that it was a banana tree that was buried, not her.
Hundreds of residents gathered at the Central Police where the parents and the girl were kept as they waited for a DNA test to be authorized and conducted on the girl. The girl’s death certificate and birth certificate were also tendered to the police to assist in the investigation.

Daniel Ademinokan has finally allowed his ex-wife Doris Simeon reunite with her son.

Doris and Daniel, who met on set of the Daniel-directed Omo Jaiye Jaiye in 2006, welcomed a baby boy together in April 2008 before having a bitter split in 2010.

The Minister of Health, Isaac Adewole, has asked the Nigeria Police Force to henceforth apprehend defaulters of the ban on tobacco products including Shisha.
The Health Minister gave the directive at a press conference in Abuja to mark the 2018 World No-Tobacco Day today June 4th.
“Let me stress that the ban on tobacco products with characterising flavours is still in place and the ban includes shisha because it has flavour. I, therefore, urge the Consumer Protection Council and the law enforcement agencies to intensify arrest of defaulters.” he said
According to the British Heart Foundation, Shisha smoking is a way of smoking tobacco, sometimes mixed with fruit or molasses sugar, through a bowl and hose or tube.
A quite distraught Nigerian lady, has taken to social media to share how she contracted a sexually transmitted disease after she partook in a private orgy with friends.
According to Damilola, herself and her friends decided to have a private orgy but to make sure it was STIs free, they all supposedly took STIs tests.

Tanzanian conjoined twins Maria and Consolata Mwakikuti have died at the age 21 after suffering respiratory complications at a local hospital.
The twins, who were joined from the navel downwards and shared organs like the liver and lungs, had two hearts and separate heads and arms.
They were admitted to hospital in December due to issues relating to heart disease but sadly gave up the ghost on Saturday.
The twins were popular in Tanzania and the news has caused sadness nationwide.
Many people took to social media on Sunday to send messages of condolence to the family and friends.
Tanzanian President John Magufuli tweeted that he was “saddened” by their deaths, adding that Consolata and Maria had “dreamed of serving the nation”.
President John tweeted (translated from swahili) ;
I am saddened by the death of twins,Maria and consolata..When i lastly visited them at hospital they prayed for the nation.they had dreams to work for, it my condolences to their family,sisters of Maria Consolata and all concerned..Rest in peace my children.

“We will teach using a projector and computers,” they said.

A man who disguised as a lady to deceive male clients and also obtain money from them was caught in Uganda.
According to the reports, he was caught while flirting with a male client with the intention of scamming him.
It was gathered that the suspect who has been arrested and is in police custody – was exposed after trying to flirt with a male client with the intention of scamming him before an alarm was raised.
A fake lawyer identified as Mr. Uche Julian Nwajiakwu, was recently arrested while trying to get bail for his client.
Mr. Nwajiakwu, who has been impersonating as a lawyer since 2015 stated that he fell in love with law practice when a friend of his commissioned him to act as a lawyer in order to serve his tenant a quit notice.
He was handsomely rewarded after the deed and since then, he started practicing the profession.
It was gathered that he was arguing on a bail application for his client when intelligent lawyers in the court suspected him. The lawyers said his quackery was too obvious to be ignored.
Upon further police investigation, it turned out that the suspect did not study law in any of the Nigerian universities nor anywhere else in the world.
He has since been charged to Ojo Magistrate Court for the criminal offense of impersonation.
