Recently, Chinedu Ikedieze, aka Aki, and Osita Iheme, aka Pawpaw, reunited on set after a long while both comic actors were seen together in a movie.
Years ago, the two actors were inseparable in movies and people loved them together. Once you saw Aki, you would surely see Pawpaw
But as they grew older in the movie industry, they started doing things differently, which made the public to conclude that they had irreconcilable differences.
But while speaking with Sunday Scoop, Aki insisted there was no time he fought Pawpaw.
He said:
“I just finished shooting a film with my friend, Pawpaw. We have not been working together like in the past because we are both engaged in different projects.
“I am still shooting The Johnsons family series. When they gave us a month break, I quickly went to shoot two films with Pawpaw.
“I have kept many producers waiting, but some of them looked for other options. I am busy; Pawpaw is busy too. We don’t have any problem.
I don’t like people carrying rumours, which explains why I don’t grant interviews any longer. The chemistry between me and Pawpaw is still there on and off the screen as he is more like a brother to me.”
A teenager from Imo state, Nigeria is fast becoming popular because of his amazing height.
Fortune Ibe, stands at 6 feet 9.5 inches. He is believed to be the tallest 15-year-old in Nigeria.
He reportedly stated that he grows an average of 5 inches every year and added that he would love to play for the NBA( National Basketball Association).
At the moment, he is a Mass Communication student of Covenant University, having graduated from secondary school at a very young age.
He says his height makes people assume he’s way older than he actually is.
“Everywhere I go, people don’t believe my age at all, I always cause unnecessary attention.
“Am proud of my height, We are all extremely tall in my family. My mom is 6 foot 1 inches, my dad is 6 foot 5 inches,” he said.
His eldest brother who is 21 years old is reportedly 7 feet tall, the second son who is 19 years old stands at 6 feet 5 inches, and the last son who is 11 years old is already as tall as 5 feet 9 inches.
Noble Igwe is on the news again, and this time it is because of another controversial post on social media.
Noble Igwe, has said his controversial tweet last weekend wasn’t directed at singer and new mother, Lola Rae, and her baby daddy, Tekno.
Noble Igwe had written:
“He made you stay away from your music to have a baby but he stayed back to push his hustle. #life”
In a chat with Sunday Scoop, Noble clarified his tweet as he said:
“I don’t shade, I tweet my thoughts in full but these days, I think people claim things. My tweet wasn’t directed at them and if it were, I would have mentioned their names.
For example, if I write that, ‘New bloggers are all in this game for the negative stories,’ or ‘Wish some DJs will agree that the music album business is not for them,’ or ‘Some fake clothes out here but will complain about piracy,’ people would definitely read meanings to it and believe that it is directed at specific persons but it isn’t. People always let their minds dictate what they are thinking.
That’s what twitter does; it makes people align their thoughts to things happening around them.”
On his recent tweets which commended the EFCC for the arrest of some alleged Internet fraudsters, Igwe said;
“I don’t only speak out about ‘yahoo-yahoo’ boys, I also speak about fraudulent people in government.
“Fraud is not ‘yahoo-yahoo’ only; fraud is pastors taking money from congregations and using same to build personal projects.
“Fraud is also a government official taking money from the government and buying wheel barrows for people in his local government.
“Fraud is taking pictures of items you don’t own just to show off on social media, making people steal to compete with you. I think we are failing as a society.
“It is sad that people with voices are not speaking out and that may be because we have accepted that the government has let us down and people are basically using every means to cater to their families.”
Social media users, especially Catholics, have reacted in outrage after photos of a female Evangelist lifting the Monstrance containing the Blessed Sacrament surfaced online.
Traditionally, in the Catholic church, only the priests are allowed to carry the Monstrance and it is considered a sacred object because it contains the Blessed Sacrament believed to be the body and blood of Jesus Christ.
Which is why the photo of a non-catholic female evangelist lifting it during a prayer session has sparked outrage.
While a lot of people have called out the female evangelist and her members, others have pointed out that what she is carrying isn’t the Blessed Sacrament because it wasn’t done In the Catholic church and hasn’t gone through consecration.
Big Brother Naija 2018 contestant, Tobi Bakre, has denied knowledge of the indecent picture of him and Alex which circulated on the Internet recently.
In a chat with Sunday Scoop, Tobi said, “I don’t know of any picture.
“There are usually a lot of things written about me online; so, I don’t usually have the time to keep up or comment on things I don’t know about.”
Explaining the status of his relationship with Alex, Bakre said,
“Nothing has changed about my relationship with Alex. We are still good friends; that’s what it is and that’s what it will always be.
“I know that media usually links our name together but right now, I am focused on work.
“I am still close to former housemates that I see regularly such as Miracle and Alex.
“I only see Teddy A and Bambam once in a while but it’s all good vibes with everybody.”
On the lessons he has learnt upon leaving the Big Brother house, Bakre said,
“Within two months that I got out of the house, I have learnt several things and I try to stay around people with positive energy.
“I have learnt to keep my personal life private. It’s not everything about you that the world has to know.
“Fame is fleeting and it can be gone at anytime. While you’re out there, try to add value and impact the lives of people; let people know what you stand for.
“Of course, I want to entertain people, but I also want to make impact on the world.
“I believe I should be able to inspire people out there and teach them some life lessons.”
A Nigerian woman has lost her job a week after criticising Vice President Yemi Osinbajo and President Muhammadu Buhari’s wife, Aisha, on Twitter.
In the July 5, 2017 tweet, Bolouere Opukiri described then-Acting President Osinbajo as ‘a novice’ for travelling out of the country at a time President Muhammadu Buhari was receiving medical treatment in London and tension was flaring between the executive and the legislature.
Senators had criticised Mr Osinbajo’s trip the day before, with Enyinnaya Abaribe of Abia saying it created “a vacuum” that Senate President Bukola Saraki should step in to fill.
In another post five days later, Ms Opukiri threw a shade at Mrs Buhari for railing against some ‘hyenas’ and ‘jackals’ within her husband’s inner circle, suggesting that Ms Buhari might not be as ‘classy’ as former first lady, Patience Jonathan.
The two tweets and other similar rants against Buhari administration figures were subsequently chronicled by some pro-government netizens and sent to the presidency.
The presidential amnesty office, where Ms Opukiri worked at the media unit, saw her abuse of ‘government official’ as a threat to national security and summarily dismissed her as recommended by the public service rules.
Ms Opukiri told PREMIUM TIMES her dismissal was a violation of her right to free expression as enumerated in the Constitution and vowed to challenge it in court.
Sacked for ‘prejudicial claim’, and ‘state security’
Laolu Akande, the spokesperson for Mr Osinbajo, received an e-mail from one of the administration’s supporters online with a quibble about Ms Opukiri’s continued stay in office despite her regular “insults” against the administration, especially Messrs Buhari and Osinbajo.
If “characters” like Ms Opukiri “continue to work in government”, it would portray the administration’s online supporters as “weak” and their loyalty “unrewarding,” the petitioner said in an e-mail seen by PREMIUM TIMES
Mr Akande forwarded the e-mail to Paul Boroh, then-head of presidential amnesty office, with an annotation: ‘Pls is this correct?’ according to details of the communication confirmed by PREMIUM TIMES showed.
Mr Boroh did not appear to have responded to Mr Akande’s e-mail, but he did order an immediate probe into Ms Opukiri’s online activities.
Ms Opukiri, 30, learnt of the complaints against her for the first time on July 12. She arrived at work on that Wednesday morning and was immediately summoned by Dedis Abel, then chief of staff at the presidential amnesty office, Ms Opukiri told PREMIUM TIMES.
She said Mr Abel, a retired colonel, told her she was the subject of a petition that came in from the presidency. He then detailed two soldiers to follow Ms Opukiri home to search her apartment for any material that could aid in their investigation of her online activities.
By noon, she appeared before a disciplinary panel and was confronted with printouts of her tweets, one of them was one in which she excoriated Mrs Buhari for her jackals and hyenas comment on July 5.
Ms Opukiri denied all allegations of misconduct in her response to the six-person disciplinary committee, including two women, according to her employee records seen by PREMIUM TIMES. She was not queried, but only made to respond to specific allegations when she faced the committee, all of which bordered on her use of social media.
Ms Opukiri was asked to go home and await further communications after her grilling. The committee went on to recommend Ms Opukiri’s dismissal when it submitted its report the same day, and she was dismissed the next day, July 13.
Her dismissal letter, seen by PREMIUM TIMEES, said she made ‘false claims’ against a ‘government official’ in her July 5 tweet. The claims were ‘prejudicial to state security” and also “inimical to the image of the Office of the Special Adviser to the President on Niger-Delta Affairs.”
The office based its actions on public service rule (PSR) 030407, which defines ‘false claims against government officials’ as a serious misconduct for which an employee should be dismissed as ultimate penalty.
Ms Opukiri was posted to the amnesty office as an in-house consultant on the re-integration of rehabilitated Niger-Delta militants as part of the amnesty programme launched by late President Umar Yar’Adua.
Tidal Streams, an outsourcing firm, which was Ms Opukiri’s primary employer, was given prior notice of her dismissal, the sack letter said. As an in-house consultant for a government agency, Ms Opukiri could be subjected to public service rules, according to senior civil servants who spoke with PREMIUM TIMES about the nature of her employment, including a permanent secretary and a director.
Ms Opukiri’s employment letter implored her to be ‘responsible’ in her conduct while on the job, but did not include a specific guideline about what she could engage in on social media.
Ms Opukiri said she was told that Mr Akande and other presidency officials mounted pressure for her dismissal. PREMIUM TIMES was unable to independently verify this claim.
She said the complaints were sent to Mr Akande following an online brawl she had with Segun Dada, another pro-government commentator on Twitter.
“He insulted me as a fat woman and I responded that he should be the last person to call anyone fat because his wife is also fat by nature,” Ms Opukiri said.
Mr Dada confirmed exchanging tense tweets with Ms Opukiri, which they both mutually deleted later, but strongly denied the allegations, telling PREMIUM TIMES he had never owned an iPad which was used to send the complaints to Mr Akande as indicated by the e-mail server.
“I have not and will never be personally responsible for anyone losing their job,” Mr Dada told PREMIUM TIMES in a message.
Mr Boroh could not be reached for comments. He was fired as head of amnesty office by Mr Buhari in March. His successor, Charles Dokubo, did not return PREMIUM TIMES requests for comments throughout the week. A spokesperson for the amnesty office made promises to return enquiries about matter but failed repeatedly.
Months after her dismissal, Ms Opukiri was re-engaged early last month by Double Helix Nigeria Limited, a new outsourcing firm contracted by the amnesty office, but she was asked to stop work within the first week. Tidal Streams had been dropped by the office shortly after Ms Opukiri left.
She said Mr Dokubo was asked to dismiss her again when he visited the State House early May.
“They told him they were aware that I had been reinstated and he immediately took steps to get me fired once again to avoid offending the presidency,” Ms Opukiri said. PREMIUM TIMES saw the May 2 employment offer from Double Helix, but could not independently verify claims that Mr Dokubo ordered her termination under pressure from the State House.
Emilia Achor, head of human resources at Double Helix, said the firm rescinded Ms Opukiri’s offer letter because it had “the rights” to do so. She offered no further explanation.
A telephone number for Tidal Streams did not connect.
Mr Akande also did not return PREMIUM TIMES’ requests for comments.
Emerging pattern?
Analysts said the dismissal followed a trend of intolerance that has seen critics of the government being targeted.
Cheta Nwanze, a political and security analyst with SBM Intelligence, said in 2016 SBM was on the verge of sealing a contract when at the last minute the other party pulled out without explanation.
Mr Nwanze said a few months later he met a member of the other group who told him he had been reported because of his activities online. Mr Nwanze campaigned vigorously for Mr Buhari’s election in 2015. He said fell out with Mr Buhari after some early controversies by the administration. He regularly clashes with pro-government handles on Twitter.
Also, when Dipo Awojide, a disillusioned supporter of Mr Buhari, started raising his voice against the administration in 2016, he was reported to his employers at Nottingham Trent University in the UK.
Mr Awojide declined comments to PREMIUM TIMES about the matter, but he disclosed it on Twitter at the time.
PREMIUM TIMES also learnt of at least two other persons whose online activities were reported to their employers. They, however, declined to comment for this story and requested that their names should not be mentioned to avoid any backlash.
Free speech or recklessness?
Federal civil service rules have long been used to punish public officials for being critical of the government or senior officials, a practice that has continued to elicit mixed reactions from commentators.
Ms Opukiri’s dismissal came three years after the Nigerian government sacked an official of National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) for penning a critique of former finance minister, Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala.
In the March 5, 2013 article, Yushau Shuaib, then NEMA spokesperson, highlighted a slew of complaints bordering on nepotism against Ms Okonjo-Iweala. He was subsequently queried, compelled to appear before a disciplinary panel and summarily dismissed.
Mr Shuaib challenged his dismissal in court. In November 2017, the National Industrial Court declared Mr Shuaib’s dismissal illegal and ordered his immediate reinstatement with full payment from the day of his sack in 2013.
More than six months later, Mr Shuaib has not been reinstated because the information minister, Lai Mohammed, who criticised the dismissal while an opposition spokesperson in 2013, appealed the ruling.
Nelson Ekujumi, a civil rights activist and public affairs analyst, said Ms Opukiri was reckless with her comments online and her dismissal would serve as a warning to other would-be critics of the government to be more circumspect about their public conduct.
“Your right to free speech is not absolute,” Mr Ekujumi said. “You cannot express your free speech to libel and slander people.”
“Your right to free speech does not allow you to make hate speech or make false allegations against people, be it a public official or a private citizen,” he added.
Mr Ekujumi said the amnesty office committed no wrongdoing since it followed the public service rules in dismissing Ms Opukiri.
But rights activist, Inibehe Effiong, condemned the government’s action as “extremely disproportionate.”
Mr Effiong, a Lagos-based lawyer, said the amnesty office should have forwarded complaints to Ms Opukiri’s primary employer rather than taking the action directly.
Still, even the public service rules applied against Ms Opukiri could be challenged in court because of obvious inconsistencies with the Constitution, Mr Effiong said.
Chapter one of the PSR said the the rules applied “only to the extent that they are not inconsistent with the provisions of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria in so far as their conditions of service and any other law applicable to these officers are concerned.”
“The public service rules cannot override Section 39 of the Constitution which accorded all individuals a right to freedom of expression,” Mr Effiong said.
Chris Ngwodo, a political analyst, said Ms Opukiri was “serving at the pleasure of the president” and should not have used her social media account to issue uncomplimentary remarks against his administration.
According to Mr Ngwodo, while Mrs Buhari is not a public official but a public figure, Ms Opukiri’s reference to the Vice President in her posts, meant that her dismissal letter was accurate in describing her as having attacked a government official.
Even so, the analyst said Ms Opukiri could seek legal counsel for clarification of any potential ground for challenging her dismissal.

There was a mild drama recently on the gram as a Nollywood actress lambasted a follower who pissed her off.
Nollywood Actress,Damilola Adegbite took to her IG to share a photo without makeup and captioned it ‘Looking like I’m only 18 ☺’ .
Apparently ,one of her followers on Instagram thought differently responding:
‘Keep deceiving yourself, you look 70’.

You might want to take a look in the mirror too my darling. You don’t exactly look like a bunch of roses yourself ?
Damilola’s fans then took to the trolls page (who is plus-size) to body-shame her for saying another woman looked like a 70-year-old.

This means that we each have AMAZING CAPABILITIES, enough to scare even our creator ?This scripture gives us an indication of God’s perspective of us. We were each made the way we are, FOR A SPECIFIC PURPOSE.
Do not let anyone belittle you or make you feel less than who you KNOW you are! Cut off the naysayers and welcome only MORE LOVE and MORE light into your world.
There’s something in the air. It’s a season of RENEWAL. Can you feel it too? ☺?

I feel I’m at my best, feel really good. Getting on the scoresheet is always nice as striker. Costa Rica on Thursday will be another tough one, another test. But I’m looking forward to it, and the next month.”

The police in Lagos have arrested a 38-year-old businessman, Williams Peter, for allegedly refusing to pay a debt of N600,000 he incurred in a gambling game.
One Solomon Adetoro, who operated the game centre, was also apprehended by the police for conniving with Peter to allegedly defraud the management of the gambling firm.
It was learnt that Peter approached Adetoro at the gambling outlet on Olowu Street, Ikeja, Lagos, on May 24, 2018, to play the game.
He was said to have placed several bets without winning and promised to pay the following day.
The native of Rivers State reportedly returned to the outlet the next day, took another round of bets and lost until the money accumulated to N600,000.
Saturday PUNCH gathered that the operator did not report the debt to the management until it was discovered by an official, who came to take a record of bets around 9:00pm.
Adetoro and Peter were subsequently arrested by the police from the Ikeja division where the case was reported.
The operator, who told the police that Peter was his customer, stated that he became worried and protested as the debt piled up, but the man assuaged his fear.

Peter confessed to playing the bets on credit in his statement to the police, adding that he had been into gambling for 16 years.

Just imagine if those 3 million Nigerian Super Eagles jerseys were made by a firm in Aba rather than @Nike. Aba tailors have the capacity to produce them. We just lost an opportunity to infuse at least $100 million into the Nigerian economy and provide jobs for our youths.
@HrhValerie: “Please you are part of the senate House, where were you when they made the decision to give the contract to @Nike”
Replying to @HrhValerie, @NENJnre wrote: “Give contract? ???.. Nike pays you, not the other way around. Calm down and understand processes before you tweet. Nike is our national team jersey sponsor. They paid the NFF 1million dollars after Adidas recused to renew when our deal with them expires. Sport companies pay teams worldwide to make merchandise for them and in turn have full or partial cut of sales to recoup the money.”
@RockofAgis: “But can Aba ever fathom the idea for the design of such jersey?”
@asiwajudin: “Never if you want to know more about about designs jusy check NYSC jungle boots”
@Deemby_Lee: “Aba will purchase 1 original and manufacture 2 million fake Jersey.”
@mrmanodili: “Sir I disagree with this one. Let’s leave this particular Jersey issue or it not being made in Aba. What average Nigerian needs from the govt are good roads network, constant electricity, working hospital and a subsidize education.
We can fix every other things by ourselves”
@Princesssamtos: “Whose fault sir? Most of you use foreign designer suits and shoes instead instead of encouraging local designers.”
@genuinechimere: “Nike pays NFF for using their brand. It’s more like a sponsor thing. A lot of countries that have local manufacturers use Nike, Adidas, Puma etc.”
Sho mo age mi, a phrase which was originated by a Nollywood actor Kazeem Abimbola, popularly called Jigan Babaoja has gone on to become a trending phrase among most Nigerians.
The Yoruba phrase which simply means ; Do you know my age, has been used by a vast majority of Nigerians on Social media for jokes, memes and even short skits.
Kazeem Abimbola has however come out to say that despite the fact that he asks about his age from everyone that cares to listen, he will never reveal his real age to anyone.
He opened up to Ademola Olonilua in an interview on how he came by the slang Sho mo age mi ni.
What brought up the slang ‘Sho mo age mi ni’?
I have actually done several skits but it’s just that God had mandated that I would become popular with this ‘Sho mo age mi’ slang. I was on a movie location with some of my friends when we started talking about our actresses that were celebrating their 40th birthday; we said that some of them were either not up to 40 years or they were above the age.
That was how we started arguing and I cited myself as an example, asking them if they knew if I was up to 40 years old. That’s how I started asking them if they knew my age in Yoruba. From there, something urged me to do a skit about it and that’s how it went viral.
Did you ever believe it would become this much of an internet sensation?
I did not know it would garner such attention online. It never occurred to me. Of all my skits, it had the highest amount of views and that was when I knew that it was going to be a viral video. I also have to thank Tunde Ednut because each time I make a skit, he always reposts it and that gives it more mileage online.
How did Jigan Babaoja meet Davido?
I was wowed when it happened. I was home one day posting some of my skits on the same trending topic when I received a direct message from him. I was so happy and while I was still basking in the euphoria, I received a call from my manager, Danku, who told me to hold on for Davido.
In his distinct voice, I heard him say, “Hello, Sho mo age mi, sho mo age mi ni,” then he laughed and invited me to meet him at Lekki. I went to meet him at Lekki and he told me he appreciated my work. He was travelling to America on that day but he still made out time to receive me.
Veteran music producer, Olumide Ogunade, popularly known ID Cabasa, in an interview with Olaitan Ganiu spoke on the origination of his record label Coded Tunes and how he discovered hip hop star Olamide.
Read the excerpts below:
Professionally, when did you start your career?
“I started as a teenager way back in the late 80s. I was in the secondary school while also doing music by the side.
“But, professionally, it was around 2003 after I left the university. I worked in a corporate company for a while before I left to fully focus on music production.”
Is that when you started Coded Tunes Record?
“I started Coded Tunes production in my house in 2003. But before Coded Tunes, we had a clique called, The Smiling Head Soldier which was headed by 2phat.
“It comprises me, 2phat, Lord of Ajasa and MC Spako. And then, we used to have a lot of squads coming to make beat in my studio.
“There was this massive squad called, Yabtown Squad which is where Reminisce originated from.
“It is a clique of both rappers and singers and some of them were my juniors in secondary school.
“From there, we decided to gather momentum and create something larger than just being Smiling Head Soldier or Yabtown Squad.
“And obviously the name of the studio that unites us is Coded Tunes. So, that was how we started Coded Tunes.”
How did you discover Olamide?
“Olamide came with a friend to record in my studio; a friend was featuring him.
“I fell in love with the young boy of 13 or 14 as he delivered his rap line. I could hear a depth that you won’t get from most of his age mates.
“I was so impressed that I told him that he’s free to come to my studio at any time.
“He will come to the studio, then I will make beat while is writing his lyrics.
“From there, the interest to have him as part of Coded Tunes developed and the rest is history.
“By the time Coded Tunes transited to a proper recording label, Olamide was the first person signed alongside Seriki and Kayefi.”
You’ve been a blessing to many big stars of today. Do you receive accolades for this?
“I will say I’m one of the few lucky ones that got the accolade that I deserve.
“In fact, I get more accolades than I think I deserve because all of those I’ve worked with till date are still much loyal to our friendship and some of them still mention my name in their interviews.
“Last year, 9ice titled his album after me. Olamide still doesn’t believe we are in a way apart.
He doesn’t see me as ID Cabasa who just produces beats for him but rather sees me as his father and always consults me at any of his projects. We still play and do things together.
“The same goes for Reminisce, Seriki and every other guy, even the ones that are not part of Coded Tunes family which I’ve worked with.
“They still appreciate me; the likes of Banky W, Ruggedman, Durella and co.”
President Muhammadu Buhari has admitted that it has been difficult to defend his APC Led Administration these past three years.
President Buhari said this when he met with members of the Buhari Media Organisation at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.
President Buhari thanked them for speaking on his behalf and also acknowledged that his administration is one that is difficult to defend.
He said:
” I don’t think I can thank you enough for your steadfastness under very difficult circumstances.
“It is not easy to defend this administration and more importantly, to defend me.
“But your consistency is giving me a lot of confidence and I know you are paying the price physically, mentally and materially because the opposition now is are sitting on incredible resources, which I’m afraid we cannot get at it all.
“For that reason, they are sponsoring mischief from different angles, which in spite of the incumbency of the government, we cannot absolutely stop that.
“It is you people, that are quietly and openly fighting it and I cannot thank you enough for that”
He also told the group members that the opposition looted so much money that his administration might not be able to recover.
The Buhari Media Organisation was the media outfit of the APC campaign team in 2015 which was named Buhari Media Support Organisation.
Where is African China?’ That question has been on the lips of music lovers who the Nigerian Singer endeared in the early 2000s when he was one of the few musicians that used their songs to criticize societal ills.
At a time, it was reported that the government was unhappy with his songs and declared a manhunt for him. Fast forward to the present day and so little has been heard from the ‘crusader.’ In fact, the rumour going around town is that the singer had gone broke and dumped music to become a hairdresser.
In a chat with PUNCH, African China whose real name is Chinagorom Onuoha debunked the rumours claiming that he was in the studio making new songs. He told Saturday Beats that he had already released a song titled, ‘Letter to Mr. President,’ and the song is already making waves.
He said:
“There is no atom of truth in the story making rounds that I went broke or I have quit music to become a hairdresser. I am a realist and there is no point lying. While I was growing up, I used to be a barber; I shaved hair in Orile, Ajegunle, Amukoko, Okokomaiko and other places. When I became successful, I felt that I needed to have a fallback plan and I also needed to give back to the people who are in the business in order to empower them, so I got a unisex salon, set it up and gave it out to someone to manage. I am not broke; I have so many investments and businesses.”
He added that while some of his colleagues have indeed gone broke because they spent their money lavishly when they were in the limelight, he is able to walk tall because he had mapped out a fallback plan.
“There are some of my colleagues that cannot walk with their heads high like I do today simply because they spent their money lavishly. They spent their money in clubs, on women, alcohol and drugs. I did not do that and now, I have something to fall back on. Most of these colleagues go around saying that they need sponsors, they use the excuse that most of the younger artistes are being sponsored by ‘yahoo boys’. The reason they are saying that is that they cannot support themselves but I can because I have something to fall back on. I made good use of my time and I am so happy about that. I can always walk around with my head high anywhere I go,” African China said
The singer hinted that he did not shut down the rumours because there was no point, saying that he was a victim of blackmail.
African Chyna said ;
“I read all the lies about me but I intentionally kept mum because there was no need taking issues with anyone. Everyone is entitled to their opinion, they have said what is on their mind and that is their business. Most people just want to get at you for no good reason. There are some people that asked me for money but I did not give them. Maybe they are the ones who thought they could use false stories to tarnish my image. It is when you give them the right to ‘run you down’ that they would, but if you don’t give them the chance, they would move on.
“When I started music, the ‘Twitter’ we had was to knock on people’s door to inform them about our projects or interviews on the television. Even when there was erratic power supply and no one saw our interviews on the television, we succeeded. So nobody can pull me down. Today, people pick their phones, say silly things and they become superstars. Back then, it had to do with your creativity. If I could make it then, I would always make it,”
Yesterday, the internet was set on fire as Nigerian Male Barbie, Bobrisky and TV host, Hero Daniels took a swipe at each other over Toyin Lawani’s car gift to BBNaija finalist, Nina.
Hero had insinuated that the car gift was a shade to Bobrisky. The male barbie wasted no time to call out Hero who has also replied.
See their exchanges below:
Hero then went on to call out Bobrisky ;
Ordinarily, I wouldn’t dedicate a post to a Talentless individual like Bobrisky but I’m fed up with this DUDE. Your silly antics on social media which I find very amusing is great material for me as a comedian but that doesn’t mean I like your personality. So , you can stop trying to get my attention really .
First it was the calls, I blocked you. Now you’re trolling me on social media? Lol ?. The hard truth is that Toyin Lawani is everything you’d never be…
She’s Beautiful , Rich , Successful and a WOMAN. You can NEVER be a woman no matter how many fake traditional wedding you stage or pancakes you apply on your “struggling-to-breathe” face . Piece of Advice?

Bobrisky then fired back at Hero, in two seperate posts.
