Without mincing words or beating around the bush, controversial BBNaija house, Cee-C has thrown a direct jab at fellow housemate, Alex.
During the live show moments ago, Ebuka confronted both Alex and Tobi over their new found BFF relationship in the house and asked Alex specifically, if she feels the relationship could go the next level and she precisely objected and said no it won’t.
She explained that she feels that Tobi behaves the way he does towards her probably because he’s trying to spite Cee-C – recall that Tobi and Cee-C were sort of a thing during the first few weeks of the house but things didn’t go too well for both of them.
Tobi was also asked by Ebuka if he feels their relationship could be taken to the next level and he admitted that if there were the chance, he actually would.
Cee-C was then asked about the whole thingy between Tobi and Alex and according to her, she’s less concerned but is quite amused that Alex has that kinda notion towards her – she said she’s okay with it before she went on to say that she’s not surprised as Alex is the type who throws herself at the guys in the house, so it’s probably just the way it is with Tobi.
She then went on to shade Alex, saying she always displays her endowment and putting it in the faces of the guys, indirectly dubbing a th*t – we don’t know what the outcome of this shade will be but we certainly see another feud brewing between the both of them.
Fingers are crossed… arms are folded, let’s wait and see….
A twitter user identified as Jeffery has taken to the micro-blogging site to slam a housemate of the ongoing reality TV show, Nina.
Jeffery cited Nina and her Igbo roots, claiming that Igbo girls are the best at being infidel.
Jeffery via his twitter handle @Villageparrot wrote; “Nina is an encapsulation of what Igbo girls are: unfaithful. No tribe beats Igbo girls at cheating. It’s a hobby. #BBNaija”
Recall that Nina had a boyfriend named collins, before she got into the big brother naija house, that did not stop her from engaging in a romantic relationship with her fellow housemate – Miracle.
Nina was also recently dragged online after she tried to set Miracle apart from her Boyfriend, She had said; “Collins is my Boyfriend, Miracle is my everything.”
Nina: miracle is my everything while Collins is my boyfriend……….hmmm after they would say MEN ARE SCUM
A Popular Delta-based Disc Jockey, identified as DJ Bullet, is dead.
According to reports, DJ Bullet whose real name is Ugwumgbor Emmanuel was electrocuted, last night, in Jesse town. He was said to be addressing an electrical fault without wearing hand gloves when power was suddenly restored and killed him.
Emmanuel before his death, was a 400-level undergraduate student of Unec and he dropped his second mixtape in January 2018.
Well after spending 77 days in the house, you cannot really blame a brother.
One of the contenders in the On-going Big Brother Naija show, Omololu Shomuyiwa, fondly called Lolu has reportedly suffered an uncontrollable boner in the house.
This was seen when one of the cameras in the house captured the moment as Lolu made to walk away from his bed owing to the uncomfortable situation as the well endowed housemate had his egg plant live on camera.
Some fans are showing him their support especially as Lolu who has been in the house for a period of three months is one of the housemates that has since abstained from sex.
Though Lolu had a one minute kiss with Anto after she returned to the house, upset that he had led her on informing her of his girlfriend outside the house, Lolu has maintained being a gentle man.
A Twitter user identified as Kandi has clearly set out her terms and condition to whom it may concern when it comes to Relationships and (Infidelity).
She tweeted ;
If my man cheats on me while I’m pregnant im killing him & the baby. Fuck that.
Kandi’s followers were suprised with that tweet and they questioned the intent.
One replied ;
What he did he did you wrong I take it personally because I grew up of someone that cheated on the most important person in my life so for me I see as he’s losing out on the best thing that would come in his life but all I’m saying is don’t take it out on the child.
Another asked her specifically ;
What the baby ever done to you.
In her reply, she however clarified the previous tweet as she wrote ;
LMAOOOOOOO it was a damn joke now I’m being attacked on twitter
If my man cheats on me while I’m pregnant im killing him & the baby. Fuck that.
Africa is a large continent, blessed with many tribes and cultures, from the zulu’s, to the xhosas, to the himbas, to the Igbos, Hausas and Yorubas, the diverse black continent can rightly boast of about three thousand African Tribes.
A tribe in Uganda has come under the radar, due to its way of preparing its women for marriage differs completely from other African tribes.
In many African cultures, aunties provide counselling to their young nieces as they age from adolescence to adulthood. When it comes to marriage, these aunties prepare their nieces for the challenges that lie ahead.
The question now is ‘How much influence should aunties have on their nieces?
Well, for the Banyankole people in Southwestern Uganda, the aunt does more than the above, especially during the marriage.
When a couple wants to get married, the primary responsibility of the bride’s aunt is to carry out a sexual check on both her niece and her nephew-in-law. Essentially, the aunt does this by having sex with the groom to check his potency and virility.
She also has to “test” if the bride is still a virgin before they are allowed to consummate their marriage.
In other traditions, the aunt is said to go as far as listening in or watching as the bride and groom have sex in order to prove the couple’s potency.
Inasmuch as this practice may sound weird, it shows how the people of Banyankole hold virginity in high esteem.
As soon as a Banyankole girl is eight, she goes through a lot of restrictions to prepare her for marriage.
When other children her age in other cultures are out having fun and playing, a girl in this part of Uganda is mostly kept indoors, where she is fed beef and millet porridge and forced to drink milk in large quantities so that she becomes fat.
Being fat is synonymous with beauty among the Banyankoles.
When she starts developing breasts, she is also asked by her parents to abstain from sexual activities.
It is the duty of a Banyankole father to find a wife for his son as he pays the bridewealth as well. This consists of some cows, goats and pots of beer, depending on how rich a person is.
Once the bride price is paid, the marriage preparations begin. On the wedding day, there is a lot of feasting at the bride’s home, where the father is expected to slaughter a bull.
At the bridegroom’s home, there is another feast where the marriage is consummated. This is after the bride’s aunt has “tested” her niece’s purity and slept with the groom to also check his potency.
Aisha Buhari has explained that her 2016 interview which was considered to be critical of her husband’s administration was based on her sense of justice.
She made the clarification in a message she sent to the 2017 Vanguard Awards where she was honoured as Vanguard Personality of the Year 2017.
She said ; “I wish to thank the management of Vanguard Media Limited for this unexpected award, in recognition of my humanitarian efforts towards improving the health and welfare of Nigerians particularly women, children and less privileged.
One of the reasons adduced for honouring me was the interview I granted which some people saw as criticism to a government that I am part of. I need to state that my position was a result of my sense of justice and not confrontation or disrespect.
I was brought up to stand by the truth and this is how I have always been. As we are all aware, Nigerians elected this administration based on the trust and confidence they have on my husband; I, therefore, feel that we are here to serve Nigeria to the best of our ability. .
Let me use this opportunity to state that I support my husband in this call to service and will continue to do so. On this note, I hereby dedicate this award to the people of Nigeria, especially women. Thank you sincerely for this award.” .
Mrs. Aisha Buhari had in the 2016 interview with BBC, warned her husband that she might not back him at the 2019 election unless he shakes up his government. She claimed that the President did not know most of the top officials he appointed.
Pastor Adeboye tells pastors to tell their church members they won’t make heaven unless they pay their tithe.
One word for him: fraud!
We need to put an end to pastors blackmailing the hopeless and poor into giving what they don’t have.
Pastor Adeboye even disappoints me the most primarily because I expected more; secondarily because he’s my pastor.
This is not how Jesus Christ instructed us to live in the Bible. He taught us so much more.
What would it take Pastor Adeboye on one night to ask congregation to donate a total of N500m to build hospitals, skills development centers, sports centers, schools for IDP camps?
What would it cost Pastor Adeboye to have a special outreach to help residents of IDP Camps?
What much better way to preach the love of Christ is there than to do something for the less privileged?
The other day Pastor Adeboye announced 2 million people should be fed every Sunday. There’s a difference between feeding 2 million people and feeding 2 million HUNGRY people.
But barest minimum Twitter said that was enough.
Only thing Pastor Adeboye knows how to do is stand on that pulpit to ask people to donate billions of Naira to build more church branches.
Please, how is this any different from a business model?
Of course you’ll be right to say “taking care of IDP Camps is government’s responsibility”
…but, the Bible didn’t teach that we should leave kindness and humanity to government, so…
I read my Bible properly, through and through. I attend RCCG and I am telling you that Pastor Adeboye declaring non-payment of tithe as the ticket to hell is FRAUD!
I know many of you will come and say “How do you know Pastor Adeboye is not doing this already?”
My answer is NO! In furtherance, don’t be a fool to defend a pastor that doesn’t even know your name.
It’s time everybody came to full appreciation that churches in Nigeria are business establishments set up to extort the poor and hopeless.
“If you give your tithe, the windows of heaven will open to you…”
IT IS A SCAM!
How many rich men of this world give tithes? Dangote dey pay tithes?
Okay, I know you’ll say devil gave them that money. Shut up!
If Jesus Christ was in Nigeria, would he ignore the IDP Camps and not bring good tidings to them? Aren’t they our brothers, sisters and neighbors?
Why can’t Pastor Adeboye say “okay this month, we are raising N500m for our kinsmen in IDP Camps”?
Pastors acquiring private jets, building mansions, amassing stupendous wealth, but they’re teaching the poor masses “Heaven is your goal and home, this world is a journey”
Isn’t that fraudulent?
Look at what Sam Adeyemi, for example, has done with DayStar. See how he tries to reach as many people as he can. He teaches. He nurtures. That’s what pastors are meant to do. Not arm-twisting people into giving what they barely can get by with.
But yes, pastors have managed to cage a lot of people by “touch not my anointed” and they’ve lied to you that “touch” includes talking.
Well, all the ‘big’ pastors in this country are frauds and that’s that!
Touch not my anointed my black ass.
Pastors that take money from the same politicians that have impoverished their congregation, is that a pastor one should respect?
Pastors that take money from politicians, then are the first to call judges (a member of their church) when such politicians face charges in their court.
Nah, not today Satan.
Typical Nigerian church: – Preach prosperity – Ask for donations – Do thanksgiving – Ask for donation – Preach about tithe – Ask for donation. Money, money, money, money.
Guru Maharaji will make heaven ahead of some of your “anointed” pastors. It’ll shock you.
All the tithe RCCG has been receiving, what have they done with it?
They successfully built a school that members of their church can’t afford. School built with their hard-earned money.
A Nigerian motivational speaker identified as Olajumoke Rhoda has spoken up against the menace domestic violence, growing rampant country.
According to her, ladies should not marry an man who hits them during dating.
Speaking with Potpourri, Olajumoke said;
“Domestic violence against women would reduce drastically if young women would stop getting married to any man who hits them while in a relationship.”
“Ladies, please be watchful before marrying any man, because no marriage is worth your lives. I know love makes us take foolish decisions. But for me, when I see the signs I don’t wait to be proven right. My sister lost her life with her 5-month pregnancy because she kept quiet”, she said.
“I advise women going through abuse, physical or sexual assaults in marriage or relationship to come out. Speak up and seek help before it gets too late. Every woman deserves to be respected and loved by her spouse.”
“If you’re independent, its easier to walk away and start afresh, don’t make yourself an invalid in your relationship or marriage”, .

Video director, Olalekan Buhari, professionally known as Unlimited LA, raised a lot of eyebrows sometime ago when he declared that Big Brother Naija 2018 contestant, Khloe, is his girlfriend and that he is planning to get married to her soon.
Unlimited LA made the pronouncement on social media days after the competition kicked off in January.
However, in a chat with Sunday Scoop, the video director said something entirely different.
“Khloe is not my girlfriend, I was just joking when I made that post. She is just my friend. The whole thing was a publicity stunt. It isn’t her nude pictures or the bad reports about her that have made me to say she is no longer my fiancée. We have never dated. I don’t have any girlfriend; so, my post did not offend anybody close to me. “As for my taste in women, I like someone who is smart and hard-working. She also has to have a pretty face. That is what would attract me in the first place.” he said.
The funny thing is that I don’t watch Big Brother. I don’t have any interest in it and I am always very busy. It was even on Instagram that I got to know that Khloe was a contestant,” he added.
K. Michelle has revealed the trauma she is going through all because of a butt reduction surgery she had.
Michelle, via an Instagram post, spoke of how she has been in and out of the hospital because the silicone had spread all over her body.
The singer wrote;
”Jan 12 I started a journey to correct a mistake I did over 6 years ago. The first surgery went well so we thought until my body started to shut down while I was on tour. For 26 cities I was on steroids to walk and keep down infection causing me to get off stage and be rushed to ER over 4 times and then the next day back on stage.
I later found out the silicone had spread and I would be rushed back into surgery. Last Wednesday I entered surgery barely functioning with my legs and an infection. The surgery to remove all of this from me lasted a long 6 hours. The following days were spent with paramedics until i they realized my blood count was severely low and I was rushed into ER where I was admitted. 2 blood transfusions later I’ve been released and started therapy today heal and walk.
I have the most skilled and amazing reconstructive surgeon in Beverly Hills and I’m blessed to be here. It hurts my heart to know there are girls out here who can’t afford to have the best and are just sitting around in pain and infection. I thought I was strong but this changed my life. I saw my life flash right in front of me. So many so called friends and family where no where to be found in this dark hour. People I’ve given my last 2. NO WHERE.?Only a few where there like @moniece_slaughter @erndukes@akbar__v, @richardlomaxbeauty, Ken, Myisha, @iam_whatshername_,management, my nurse Denita and my MOM by my bed every night. People had to work and were to busy be there for me. Please don’t try to call me now.
I have no hate in my heart but I have no room for you. To those people who have lied on me and still continue to hurt me, I forgive you. I gotta be here for a reason now and fighting with you isn’t it. Slowing my life down now taking my time with my new music there are songs and truths 2 b told. I will sing them. But in my own time and way. My son needs me. Oh and those twins I want can FINALLY come This year because I’ll be able to actually pick them up. The small things matter most now”.
Cee-C definitely turned heads earlier today after she was spotted rocking figure-hugging pink dress.
A braless Cee-C showed off her banging curves in the sexy short dress which her fans call iconic.
It’s no doubt that despite her many behavioural flaws, she’s close to flawless when it comes to her body as she’s said to be one of the hottest females in the house.
She dauntlessly walked around and related with other housemates while in her really kinky pink dress…
See photos below:
Cee-C somewhat gushed over Tobi earlier during a task where the housemates were told to tell one another what they liked about the other person.
Cee-C on her part said;
“First, I will start from the obvious. I like the fact that you are talented. You have so many talents that I find it amazing that you come out well in all the tasks.
“You are ambitious and cool. You gave me the reason to love myself. Of course, a lot of issues I had in the House were because of you; but in the midst of it all, I found strength in who I am.
“I like the fact that you don’t give up who you are for anything. There is a part of you that wants to get better and I like that about you.”
A traditional ruler from Mbaise in Imo State, Eze Nwabueze Soronnadi Ezewiro, has dissociated himself from the struggle for Biafra, an agitation he described as fraud.
The Igbo Monarch who spoke in Calabar yesterday, further stated that the truth is the only institutional body that represents Igbo people all over the world is Ohaneze Ndigbo, not Biafra.
“I am His Imperial Majesty Eze Nwabueze Soronnadi Ezewiro from Mbaise in Imo State as well as the Lord Mayor of the Igbo Nation and in Diaspora, Eze Agaba-Idu 1 of Igbo kingdom.
Biafra is a fraud. Whichever way they take it but the truth has to be said anyway, the only institutional body that represents Igbo people all over the world is Ohaneze Ndigbo, not Biafra.
Let me ask you one thing, when Odumegwu Ojukwu died, he was a General, he was given a state burial during the time of Jonathan, you saw in Nnewi that day that we, the Ohaneze Ndigbo were making our own preparation but the Presidency was doing the burial.
His body was carried by Nigerian soldiers, so where are the Biafran soldiers to carry the body? “When they’re talking about Biafra, is Biafra only Imo, Abia, Anambra Enugu and Ebonyi states? No.
It should be South-South, South-East all incorporated because these are the old eastern region excluding Edo. Have you seen anybody from those South-South states supporting Biafra?
We will put this thing on the table, get the Presidency, put our heads together and discuss this thing. But you can’t get it by force as if you are inciting to segregate from Nigeria federation.
The Biafran thing as much as I am concerned is dead gone. It was in the mortuary, it has gone to the cemetery. Its dead, there’s nothing and there would not be anything like Biafra” he said.
Big Brother Naija Housemate, Khloe who got disqualified form the show, and later returned has explained to fellow housemates that she believes CeeC is indeed a virgin.
Khloe went further to explain that ‘Cee-c has not felt the kind of emotion we feel’. Khloe also revealed that she has a younger sister who is a virgin at 23.
Watch the video conversation between the housemates;
Meanwhile, The National Film and Video Censors Board has said Nigeria has what it takes to host Big Brother Naija in the country.
Executive Director of the Censors Board, Adedayo Thomas, made this known in an interview with Punch.
Thomas complained that the show makes “a lot of money” from Nigerians yet complained of lack of infrastructure in the country.
He said: “If it is Big Brother Africa, they can host that anywhere; but the one for Nigeria should be hosted in Nigeria.
“Nigeria has what it takes to host the show; after all, there are many multinational/telecommunication companies hitherto operating hitch-free in the country.
“If the organisers are talking about lack of available infrastructure as an excuse, then how is MTN operating successfully 24/7 in this same country?
“If MTN, a similar South African company, has been surviving in this country, then I don’t think anybody has an excuse for not hosting BBNaija in Nigeria.
“They are making a lot of money from Nigerians here, so, we want them to host it here.”
He further spoke on the airing of adult content on the show.
He added: “A couple of the scenes are adult content and that is where parental guidance comes in.
“Parents can always block the watching of some scenes within a particular period or in totality.
“It is not government’s responsibility to assume the parental roles of moral upbringing of children in their homes.”
Ifu Ennada had a scuffle with Rapper CDQ while in the house.
Recall she revealed while having a conversation with other housemates that Rapper CDQ Used and dumped her, after he used her to attain fame.
CDQ of course responded to her claims, and called her unprintable names, one of which he claimed she was just “a one night stand”.
Later, after she got evicted from the house, Ifu revealed that she was raped by a certain “Nigerian entertainer”.
Many folks on social media believed she was referring to CDQ, due to the previous controversy between them.
But the Nollywood actress has come out to vindicate the rapper and also mentioned that the real culprit will be exposed soon.
When Sunday Scoop asked her to identify the rapist, Ifu Ennada refused but stated that it was not CDQ.
“I was the one who was raped and I didn’t talk about it until recently. When I am ready to reveal the rapist’s identity, I will do so. For now, it is no one’s business. I don’t know what gave people the impression that it was CDQ. I didn’t mention CDQ’s name. I don’t understand people,” she added.
On claims that she shared her rape story to gain sympathy or popularity, she said:
“Do I look like one who needs the sympathy of people? Only foolish people would think I put out my story for publicity. Right from the first day I came back to Nigeria, I said I wanted to release a short film, Broken Virgin. Then, Big Brother was yet to announce that two people would return to the reality show. I had already started doing graphics; posters for my short film. People who have been following me know the truth; people who don’t know me can say rubbish. Why should anyone use her rape story as a joke or play?”
She however opened up that she would have loved to go back to the Big Brother Naija house when the door was opened for evicted housemates to come back
“It has not been very smooth since leaving BBNaija, but it has been good. I miss the house; sometimes I miss the diary session with Big Brother and I miss the Saturday night parties.
I wished I was one of the two persons who returned to the house. I even campaigned for people to vote for me and my people tried for me, but I didn’t make it. I had the third highest vote. Though I am aware that people felt the voting process was tampered with, I don’t believe that. I feel they showed us how the people truly voted.” She said
Meanwhile, Uriel, a former housemate of the last year edition of the show, spoke about CeeC’s behaviour in the house.
Uriel who was the dramatic queen of the diary room in 2017, ‘See Gobe edition’ said she sees Cee-C as a troubled soul.
According to her,Cee-C needs to be guided and counseled.
On her Instagram page, She wrote:
“Whats your opinion Here’s mine…every time I see this young woman (Cee-C) I see a troubled soul.. someone who has a lot bottled up.
“I heard she said she would love to meet me.. I would love to meet her too, this young woman needs guidance, not only from me but from other women if you ever meet her.

The actress walked out of a marriage fans thought she was enjoying despite carrying the man’s baby – weeks ago, she revealed that she’d moved on from what ought not to set her back.
In an interview with LANRE ODUKOYA, she speaks motherhood, passion and legacy. Excerpts…
What was life like while growing up?
While growing up, I cherished friendship and I was part of every social activity in school. I was not the quiet type. Till now, I love life and I love expressing myself.
How about your education, where did you school?
After my primary and secondary education, I went to Caritas University in Enugu where I studied business administration. I have always been a business person as well. I love money and I like to do things that bring in money. At a very young age, I bought a car for myself. I started acting when I became a beauty queen. But ordinarily, I would have loved to be a lawyer but it didn’t happen.
You’re a single parent at the moment, how do you find motherhood?
Being a mother is the best gift a woman could ever get from God. It makes you discover yourself and it makes you think of another person. Since you really love your baby, you would want to protect him or her. Last year was beautiful for me because I had my baby girl. It was like a new beginning in my life; I became a mum and everything changed. I had to stop being the Mimi who loved travelling in order to take care of my baby. When my baby turned out to be a girl, I never worried. I just wished for a beautiful child. My daughter is like a little version of me.
What are you doing to keep fit and remain radiant?
Right now, I am struggling to trim down. I put on weight when I had my baby because I had to breastfeed her for a long time, but I was slim when I was pregnant. I work out every morning and I am dieting. Though I knew I would get fat and my tummy would get big, the joy of being a mother supersedes all that. You can always fix your body and it is worth sacrificing your body to have a child.
You’ve obviously had a break from the movie set, how do you plan to return?
I was on set in December. The producer told me he knew I had a baby but he didn’t mind if I could make myself available. I didn’t think I would able to do it, but I went there with my baby and we did it.
What are the things that fascinate you about life?
I love life, I love to be everywhere. I don’t like being in the office from morning till night. I don’t like to read too much, but it doesn’t mean I am not intelligent. I have always been into modelling or pageant. After winning Miss Africa Beauty Pageant in 2009, I met a director who introduced me to Nollywood and I found acting interesting. I didn’t go through the stress of looking for roles. None of my family members is in Nollywood, but I was told my grandmother was involved in drama. She was part of the drama group in the church and village square. I also have a cousin who sings. My father is not a creative person; he is a doctor while my mother is businesswoman.
Did you get express approval from your parents to become an actor?
When I wanted to venture into acting, I didn’t have much trouble convincing my father because I am the only daughter and his favourite. My father also knew that anything I wanted, I would get it. It was not the case of me forfeiting my education for acting; he wouldn’t have supported that. He became proud of me when people starting telling him that they saw me on screen acting.

Then sympathy for her reduced when two weeks after the loss of her child, she posted this.

Ahmad Salkida, the Nigerian journalist, formerly based in Dubai, said today that only 15 out of the remaining 113 Chibok schoolgirls, believed to be with their Boko Haram abductors are alive. He made the claim in series of tweets today, in which he provided a backgrounder to the abduction, exactly four years ago.
Salkida said the surviving 15 have been married off, indoctrinated and may no longer be interested in returning home. He advises government in negotiating for the release of the 15 girls to demand ‘proof of life’.
His tweets dealt with the botched attempts during the Jonathan era when the Boko Haram terrorists were willing to release the girls on swap deals and later developments.
Ahmad Salkida: says most of the 113 Chibok schoolgirls believed to be with Boko Haram have died.
Here is his story as picked from his Twitter handle @contactsalkida:
Four years ago, a middle ranking Boko Haram commander led dozens of fighters in search of food and other supplies in the remote town of Chibok. Like an afterthought, they saw a chance to abduct school girls in Girls Secondary School Chibok. The girls at the time were preparing for their exams.
The dozens of Boko Haram fighters faced no opposition during the abduction, as they struggled to convey their captives to the forest of Alagarno, the insurgent’s first war capital, which they named Timbuktu. It was in Timbuktu that they organised most of the horror we experience today.
Some of the girls were lucky to have escaped on their way to Timbuktu that night, because there were fewer fighters to hold more than 200 girls. At the beginning, the group didn’t know what to do with the girls, at least, not in the first one month of their captivity.
However, what many people did not know was that two weeks into the abduction, the Jonathan administration was already in touch with me for the peaceful release of the girls. By the way, I was in self-exile after pressure from the same Government.
I took an excuse where I was doing a menial job in the UAE (but still reporting the insurgency), to see the president, which was facilitated by Aliyu Gebi and Labaran Maku. By the 3rd of May, I was already on my way from Abuja to Madagali, Marwa and finally to a Boko Haram camp.
I got a proof of life for the president and another for the media in case I didn’t get back. The demands of Boko Haram then were simple. They wanted detained members taken to Damaturu and they will move the girls to Buni-Yardi for swap somewhere in between. There was no word on ransom
I was provided with full military escorts from Abuja to Damaturu. Government was supposed to make sure that 70 detainees were ready on my arrival in Damaturu to meet 30 there. The rest of the negotiating team was in Abuja making sure the prisoners were on a plane before my arrival.
On arrival in Damaturu, the military commander there was not briefed about my work. He was merely told to expect a VIP. At that time, the girls have been moved by Boko Haram, but there were no prisoners for exchange and I got a call from the former Chief of Defence Staff to abort the operation.
The president later said before me that he did not call off the swap. There was a credible window, but zero Will to rescue the girls. Boko were angry. I returned to the UAE to continue my hustle, but received invitations not only by the former administration, but the current government
Four out of five processes that I was involved in, we came close to a swap deal, but Government in most instances did not provide the platform I presented with the required expertise. And whenever Government dragged its feet, Shekau will shift the goal post.
I continued my reporting on the crisis, often critical of government and Boko Haram, with both sides raising concerns. For me, I am a reporter before anything else, many officials consider me as somebody who was too independent minded for a process that needs to be shrouded in secrecy.
Government began to look for alternatives to conclude what I’ve started and my former couriers stepped in as the primary ‘negotiators.’ It was a break for me because it is no longer negotiations, but mere transaction. Another reason was my insistence that the process must be domesticated
I was a prickle in the flesh of our leaders with my counter claims of official narratives. A day after I exclusively released a video of the girls, something I’v done in the past, I was declared wanted by same military that provided me with escorts, military aircraft for assignments
I was amazed to learn later that the terms that saw the release of some of the girls was unfavourable than what I presented, but as my friend will say, even if we come up with a cure for cancer, the war economy and elites would rather die than accept a cure from a talaka.
Today, my painstaking investigations on the #Chibokschoolgirls revealed that just a handful of the 113 #ChibokGirls are alive. Many of the girls have died as a result of cross fires and bombardments of the security forces that no doubt were intent on rescuing them.
I regret to state here that only 15 out of the 113 #Chibokgirls are alive today, based on my investigations in the last three months and we have already seen some of them in a video, which I exclusively obtained and was published on SR website.
What is the status of the remaining 15 girls as far as negotiations are concerned? My investigations also revealed that, they are no longer under the control of #AbubakarShekau. According to sources, they are now ‘married’ and only their ‘husbands’ can decide their fates.
If they are divorced or the men are killed that is when Shekau’s decision takes precedence, and in this instance, since the girls have been indoctrinated, their leader has no right to negotiate for their release, no matter the ransom offered, reliable multiple sources said.
It will be unbearable to share the names of the 15 that are alive here, this is the responsibility of Government. When I was involved, I regularly provided proof of life. Government must demand that to prove me wrong or stop negotiating for many of the girls that don’t exists.
The secrecy around the condition of the #ChibokGirls and most recent #DapchiGirls debacle by those involved is the reason people like me are out of the picture. The fact remains that under the present circumstances there is NO room for peace settlement.
The way out for these girls, is a military rescue or negotiate wt individual captors to release their ‘wives’ in return for some kind of deal, but this will mean death to these fighters bcz the terror group now sees the girls as part of their own and must be protected.
How comes there is little or no information about the girls and both the parents and campaigners are in the dark? Because, Govt resist independent reporting of the crisis, most of the reports are choreographed & Nigerians are also not ready to hear the truth or stand by it.
Reporting the #LakeChadCrisis is not just a job for me, Borno is my home, this crisis has affected me too. I’v invested 13yrs of my 18yrs journalism career to follow this story in a way no reporter or researcher has done, hence my knowledge of this crisis can’t be dismissed.
I’v risked my life and that of my family in the past and even now, not only to tell the story, but to play the role of a mediator and fact finder. But as soon as the FG found alternatives, my sacrifices got an official ridicule and I am being hounded.
I hold no other intention of doing this than the need to stir a debate to demand more insights and bring closure to the parents. The nation must not fail you from rescuing your daughters and also fail to tell you the truth.
My heartfelt condolences to the parents of the near 100 that have perished or have not returned home and apparently not with their captors. But you must always remember that your daughters were stronger than the rest of us that couldn’t do more to avert this catastrophe.”

Alex Iwobi has humbly admitted that he has difficulties in singing the Nigerian national anthem which he is yet to fully learn.
English club, Arsenal FC star and Nigerian super eagles player, Alex Iwobi has admitted that he can’t recite the lines of the Nigeria national anthem correctly.
Iwobi, who put the ball at the back of the net – an effect that saw the Super Eagles to the Russia World Cup against Zambia – made the revelation while being quizzed by Arsenal legend, Thierry Henry and Philadelphia Eagles star, Jay Ajayi.
Iwobi stated he did not know the words to the Nigerian national anthem too well, suggesting that he mouths along to the anthem when the camera was focused on him before the start of international matches.
He said:
I know it but I don’t know it well. When they are recording, the camera comes on you I know what to say. For the Nigerian viewers I do know it.”
The Hale End Academy product was also quizzed about scoring the goal that qualified the Super Eagles for the 2018 World Cup and he said: “When I scored I saw my parents in the crowd, I was almost crying. It was a nice feeling.”
On how nervous he was when he met Thierry Henry for the first time, Iwobi answered: “I met him when I was a kid for the first time, so was young, I was excited. I was in Arsenal academy. I was very young.’’
Asked if he watched the Super Bowl, Iwobi said: “Honestly no, honestly no. Sleep went to me.”
A quite dotting father has melted the hearts of many after a photo of himself with his daughter during her wedding went viral online.
The lovely bride, who hails from the northern part of the country was not able to hold back her tears after she was faced with the reality of finally leaving her parents for her husband.
Amina Gambo Muazu is seen in a new photo that’s melting hearts online, being consoled by her father as she cries during her wedding ceremony held at the weekend in Abuja.
This situation is quite commonplace in Nigerian weddings as it’s regarded as tears of joy – many a time, we’ve also seen cases of parents joining their children in shedding tears over their imminent exit from their home for a new life.
Dbanj says despite him being married and growing grey hairs, most ladies still consider him as a sexy one.
The singer disclosed this in an interview with Saturday Beats and mentioned that he decided not to get rid of his grey hair because ladies have told him that they love it, adding that it is a sign that he has money.
D’banj said:
“I love the fact that I am having grey beard. In Africa, it is a sign of wisdom. I thought one had to be 50 years and above before getting it but recently, I learnt that it comes out when you are wise and have money.
So, it is obvious to the world that I have money and wisdom.
“I know I am already growing grey beard and I leave it alone because the ladies tell me that it is sexy.
I cannot speak for any other person but I still have my sex appeal. We were just on the red carpet together before coming to this VIP section and you noticed what happened. The ladies still flock around me despite being married.
You can count how many guys greeted me compared to a large number of ladies that came to me for pictures and just to talk to me.
I think it is the grace of God and the brand cannot change. It is not as if I am going to let go of this part of me. Yes, being married has changed a little thing about me but business remains business”.
