A Nigerian caterer and Chef, Joan, has spoken out on being a victim of domestic violence and how she’s summoned up courage to leave the abusive union.
Taking to Twitter to share, Joan stated how she saw her first year of marriage as a trial period and since it’s not what she expected, she then wouldn’t lose her life over the stereotype placed by society.

Nigerian singer, Wizkid has revealed that he was born broke, but then he’d never die poor, but he’d die very “wealthy”.
The singer who was listed as 7th Richest Artiste in Africa made the statement via his Twitter account today. He wrote; “Born Broke, Die wealthy”.
The talented singer comes from a large family and is the last of six children.
Wizkid started singing at age 11; he sang in his church’s choir and released a 7 track album entitled “Lil Prinz”.

A very terrible incident happened last Friday in Uganda when four teenagers rammed into a trust and died, just moments after they filmed and uploaded a video of themselves on social media.
The Ugandan Police Division have since confirmed the incident, and identified the teens as students of Ndejje Senior Secondary School.
The accident occurred at Bajjo village along the Kampala-Gulu highway after their vehicle with registration number UAR 860W rammed into a stationery truck.
It was gathered that the deceased, who sat their national exams last November, were on their way to school to collect their results which were released by UNEB on February 7, 2018.
“We received the sad news with shock. We are trying to get in touch with the relatives and the police on what happened,” Dr Charles Kahigiriza, the school head teacher told the local media.
Charles Ssebambulidde, the Public Relations Officer at the Traffic Directorate in Kampala, identified the deceased as Vincent Male, Mark Ndugga and Isaac Sserwanja.
“Three students died on the spot while their colleagues identified as Timothy Nyogera was taken to Bombo military Hospital in critical condition. The preliminary investigation report points to speeding,” Ssebambulidde said.
Reports from the school indicate that Njogera later died in hospital.

According to the producer, Kemi Otegbade – the celebrity contestants are drawn from all the six geographical zones of the country.
These celebrities include Emmanuel Ikubese, Yomi Fash-Lanso, Funky Mallam, Doris Simeon, Ruggedman, Muma Gee, Ade Ameh, Peggy Ovire, Eniola Badmus, Bolanle Ninalowo, Ogenna Ekwubiri and Fredrick Leonard.
These big names in the Entertainment industry were kept in a house together for 30 days, during which they undertook daily challenges for the celebrity-focused reality show’s N7 million cash prize.

The management of JAMB has said all its staff involved in the case of the mysterious snake that allegedly swallowed N36m belonging to the examination body, have been placed on interdiction pending the outcome of the ongoing investigations.
The JAMB Head of Information, Fabian Benjamin, revealed that the board was taking Philomina Chieshe, through other disciplinary measures while security agencies were investigating the matter.
He said; “There is nothing new about the development. It is just one of those cases discovered by the new leadership of JAMB under Prof. Is-haq Oloyede. So the revelation is a result of the new regime of transparency and accountability.
She has been suspended and she is going through all other disciplinary procedures while investigation is ongoing on the matter. Her claim was that a snake came into the office and swallowed the N36m proceeds.”
It was learnt that Chieshe explained in her statement that a “mystery snake” sneaked into JAMB accounts office and made away with the N36m cash. The money was said to be from the purchases of scratch cards from JAMB state offices and other designated centres.
A team of auditors was said to have been dispatched to different state offices of JAMB to take inventory of sold and unsold scratch cards and recover the generated money. The woman reportedly told the team that she could not account for N36m made in the previous years before the abolition of scratch cards.
The Minister of Finance, Kemi Adeosun, had last year, said JAMB for the first time remitted N5billion to the government’s coffers with a promise to pay the balance of N3bn, compared to maximum N3million remitted yearly in the last 40 years.
Adeosun had said the disparity in the remittances of agency in the past had necessitated the decision to probe all previous heads of the two agencies.
Nigerian big boy and socialite, Hushpuppi, has made a fresh claim that Nigerian singer, KCee, bought his car on a loan.
The socialite made this claim on a live interview on Instagram with social media star, Oyemykke – the Gucci crooner had at first spoken about celebrities dissing him on social media before he went on to reveal the bombshell on Kcee.
Hushpuppi stated that some Nigerian celebrities who shade him on social media, don’t even have money as they claim to have and said he knows of one who bought his car on a loan.
Then Oyemykke persuaded him to mention names, to which Hushpuppi replied;

A Nigerian woman has been left in a state of total confusion as she’s been put in a place to make life changing decision – according to the lady, her boyfriend has been sentenced to 15 years in prison in a foreign land and he’s asking that she wait for him.
The lady, who’s 29 now, met the said convict when she was much younger, during her IT days, after a while, he traveled abroad and she stopped hearing from him.
Later on, she got to hear that he was indicted – he was eventually sentenced to 15 years in prison and he is begging her to wait for him for 15 years after which he will return and pay her bride price.
She also said he has vehemently objected to her marrying another man, though he hasn’t married her traditionally, in court or in church.
He also gave her a second suggestion, which is to come abroad and visit him in prison so he can get her pregnant then she will birth his child.

Talented Nigerian music artiste, Folarin Falana better known with stage name, Falz The Bahd Guy, has said there’s been a lot of pressure on him to get married.
According to Falz, when Banky W and Adesua got married, he took a thought about his life and said he thinks he will get married anytime soon.
In a recent chat, the rapper mentioned that the number of Nigerian celebrities and other people getting married are making bachelorhood so uncomfortable and he feels it is high time he also walked in that line.
Falz says,
“In recent past, people have been putting me under a lot of pressure to get ready. When Banky W and Adesua got married last year and it almost broke the Internet, it put a lot of pressure on bachelors like me. Everybody is getting married; so, I think it’s high time for me.”
The rapper also talked an accident he encountered back in 2013 – an ordeal he says almost claimed his life.
He says,
“In November 2013, I had a terrible accident. It was a near-death experience and I was in the vehicle with my management team. The accident was caused by an armed robbery. We were on the highway when suddenly the car was shot at. The driver was killed and we ended up in a ditch. I sustained injuries and the visible scars on my body are from that day.
“I really thought it was the end, especially when the driver died and his foot was still on the throttle, making the car to continue moving. As the car was about to crash, I just covered my face and brace for impact. I thought that at least, one should die as a fine boy.
“After the crash, the armed robbers came and ransacked all the bags in the car, looking for money. Today, I continue to remember that incident and I know that God kept me alive for a reason.”

She said:
“I like to keep certain things private and my love life or relationship falls into that category. However, the story that I am engaged to a musician or anyone else for that matter is just a rumour. I am not engaged to be married to anybody and if such happens, everyone will know. At present, I am only focused on my brand and how to make it better.”
She added:
“I was born in Bucharest, Romania, to a Romanian mother and a Nigerian father, who hails from Edo State. I have three siblings.
My father was an engineer and he was always moving from one state to another. Whenever there was a need to move, we had no choice but to go with him.
Though it was fun, the whole process of changing homes, schools and friends was quite hectic. We, however, adjusted easily. I was a very shy kid and a rebel, while my younger sister was an outgoing type.
Looking back, I will say that my childhood was quite interesting. There were some ugly days, but I still had fun growing up.
I went to primary school in Suleja, Niger State. For my post-elementary education, I attended Federal Government Girls’ College, Calabar.
I started a diploma programme in law, but later got a scholarship to study Political Science in Romania. I graduated with a First Class degree. I will not say I was the smartest, but I was very determined.
I had a lecturer who was racially prejudiced and he always made sure foreign students failed. This made it mandatory for me to do very well in my studies because I wanted to shame him.”
She was then asked on how she manages the criticism that she receives on a constant basis from fans and other people that don’t seem to like her.
She had this to say;
“I am not under any sort of pressure. I have always done things at my own pace, which is just fine by me. When it comes to criticism, assumption is the cheapest form of information. People will always have an opinion about everything and I’m not in the business of trying to convince people to think or say otherwise.”
On her current projects, she said;
“I got some endorsements and movie roles last year. I plan to do more movies this year, but I don’t want to reveal too much at the moment.
